Great Speech: The Oil execs are owed an apology

Even here in Australia the grilling of the Big Four Oil companies made it on the news. For some reason SBS didn’t include this speech.

Florida Rep Byron Donalds let’s rip on the committee’s intimidation tactics, on their rank infringement of freedoms to speak, to do business, and to hold opinions. He savages them for wasting time on a circus like this instead of building an economy.

Best part is 25 seconds to 2:10.   What an excellent speaker…

What a great speech! We need more of these truths from our Law Makers. We need to stop the Green Activists from despoiling our society with BS and intimidation!

So when are they going to get the message that the Greens and all the supports of renewables are the real terrorists living and acting on our own soil?

When the MSM stop portraying them as some sort of qualified authority on the subject, frankly a dweeb with glasses in a white lab coat holding a clipboard could get on the news and tell everyone all our energy needs can come from crystals activated by the tears from Greta and people would believe it.

Funny, Yonniestone. Maybe they could claim crystals worked for Atlantis and are still a viable option. Link to a YouTube article on reverse engineered / Nazi Germany pioneered / triangle shaped antigravity UFOs.

That would work for less than half the population but the rest would still follow another scam. People need to stop trusting politicians as they are almost invariably liars and use discernment to figure out what if any truths they do say, and do their own research the rest of the time, which would be almost all the time.

That’s a long way off, PeterS. We have to first remove the communist activists from our schools and universities and start cleaning house of all those who have wormed their way into various positions of power and start teaching kids personal responsibility and the value of work.

In these ‘halcyon’ days where both parents have to work to get anywhere, how many kids have chores so they contribute to the family? Us older folk grew up in a world where only one parent needed to work and we STILL had chores to do – many of us also had jobs to earn our pocket money.

Until kids learn to be a part of a family rather than parasitic on one, they will continue believing the world owes them a living & keep pushing for a nanny state where everything is free.

And THAT line of wish-fulfillment leads directly to hundreds of millions of dead people. vis-a-vis USSR and Mao’s China.

Commonsense is just not common anymore. Brain dead virtue signallers who have no idea at all have held the stage too long.

    Where are the Australian equivalents?

No, it’s a REQUIREMENT to believe stuff that can’t be verified. If it can be verified it doesn’t need belief. 😀

A wise man once said to me..
“ there are two forms of knowlege,.. the Truth, and Beliefs.
95+% of all “knowledge” that people have is just Beliefs, picked up from parents, teachers, books, media, and self learning.
To succeed in life you have to learn how to tell the difference between Beliefs and the Truth.

I think it will get a cool reception, but not as cold as The Gore Effect the proselytisers are being greeted by. Freezing torrential rain for Glasgow! 😀

So are the EU now going to exclude natural gas, the same as excluding wood chips, from the CO2 calculations?

Next they will realise they need to exclude coal 🙂

Well, when the EU says “sustainable”, they say what they mean to say, no more no less. h/t Lewis Carroll. They would rather call coal “sustainable” than admit they fell for a “sustainable” con.

Russian natural gas is not a fossil fuel. It is drawn from below 3000m which the limit of any fossils. Natural gas can be continuously produced in seduction zones.

May he have more power and influence. Good, no make that great great, speech, and off the cuff.

A basic question that stops them dead: Where do you think the energy comes from? A question AOC and others like her would be unable to answer.

Mr Donalds seems to have his head screwed on, I like him 🙂 You see snippets of this in politics , there are clearly bright and honourable people involved , but they dont seem to rise to the top; probably because they are bright and honourable.
