Another Minnesotans for Global Warming parody…

The Minnesotans for Global Warming have produced I’m a denier to the Monkey’s song I’m a believer...

It’s not the way I would have made it, but it’s funny.

I fight the use of the term, but these guys coopt it. It’s the opposite approach but it also chips away at the power of the namecalling bullies.

“Then I checked the facts, now I’m a denier

we can all relax, the plan is just fine

it was all a hoax

I’m a denier, the worlds not on fire

it’s just a lie

It turns out Global Warming was just a ponzi scheme…”

Their comment on their site: “I think this song may be our “Tour de Farce”
And it’s neat how they got Michael Mann to play drums.

Thanks to Mike B 🙂

    Well done!

Although I don’t like the term “denier” much, the entertainment value makes it all good for a laugh.

Humour is so effective, they (alarmists) hate humour the most.

Good on ’em I say, though, to be a denier gives the conjecture (AGW) a purchase of credibility, to the miasma of BS surrounding a scientific fiction.

The AGW slime ball, unravels before our eyes, keep the pressure on JO!

Don’t be surprised if AGW’ers jump on the volcano ash bandwagon to blame for cooling.
They will use ANY escape route to keep the scam alive so that the Carbon Trading does not die.

After the last couple of days, it seems that the trolls still aren’t taking the hint. Or getting more informed. You have been as subtle as is humanly possible under the circumstances, but to help you further, I’ve sent you an email marked “Trollware for Eddy”. It’s probably lurking in your junk email with all the other “opportunities” on offer.

If it hasn’t got through by now, please let Jo know and I will resend to the appropriate address.

    Cheers,

I hear “The planet’s just fine” instead of “The plan is just fine.” To me, it seems funner to mock the term “The Planet”, since that’s what the believers in the Gaian religion like to call it.

Subject: ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF PEOPLES PROPERTY RIGHTS BEING REMOVED!!!!!!!!

Recently, in the brisbane Bayside Bulletin (Redland City’s local rag) there was a front page storey of some poor landowner in suburban Redland City who has the misfortune of owning a piece of land with a 100 year old mango tree on it.

The Redlands Council, at the request of a third person ( not the property owner) has put a temporary vegetation preservation order (VPO)on the tree preventing the owner from cutting, pruning or otherwise damaging the tree for six months until Council has decided whether it has any heritage significance. if the guy who requested the VPO likes the tree some much, why doesn’t he put his money where his mouth is and buy the property.

Obviously, the United Nations Agenda 21 (http://www.un.org/esa/dsd/agenda21/) and its consequences are alive and well in the Redlands where your property rights are sacrificed on the altar of Gaia- for the good of Mother Earth.

Humour is the prerogative of the winners, it’s hard to laugh when you’re losing.

Orange: The story of the mango tree is typical everyone is keen to air their ‘concerns’ when someone else pays for it.

There is a Sydney suburb which has a $200,000 fine for cutting down a tree. Someone had a double block that they want to subdivide, the subdivision would be worth approximately $1 million. Unfortunately there was a big old tree in the middle of the subdivision. The solution was simple cut the tree down pay the $200,000 fine and pocket the other $800,000.

    10

  • #

    Binny,

What’s wrong with simply going in a 2AM with some poison and waiting for a while? The pocket the other $199,980?

Good point! The story was told to me second-hand, so I don’t really know. The moral of the story as I was told it was – How pointless it is to try and stop someone from realising a million-dollar return by fining them $200,000.

Perhaps any suspicious tree deaths were investigated to see if poisoning was the case.
I know of a case, where when some trees died in the drought. The tree police accused the farmer of poisoning them, and came and took soil samples in an attempt to prove their case. Needless to say the farmer thought was a great joke and gave them heaps…. I don’t think any apologies were issued when he was found innocent.

Subject: PETITION TO STOP GILLARDS PLAN TO DESTROY THE MURRAY DARLING

The Gillard Labor Government must cut the spin and immediately remove the Guide to the draft Murray-Darling Basin Plan and ensure that economic and social factors receive the same consideration as environmental factors in the future.

Water is the life blood of communities in the basin, but sadly Labor is blind to the economic and social costs of their proposed actions.

As a result, water cuts could be as high as 43 per cent.

At the same time, the cost of water is going up by as much as 73 per cent on some rivers.

Labor’s plan will result in job losses, increase the cost of food and threaten the economic future of regional communities.

    It’s just not fair!

This is not just about the plight of our farmers.

This is about the future of entire regional communities.

Join the campaign today and help send a message to Sydney and Canberra that communities throughout the Murray Darling Basin won’t sit in silence while their future is eroded away.

    =================

AN EMPHATIC “NO” TO ANY FORM OF CARBON TAX OR ETS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Dear Prime Minister,

It is quite clear that the USA will not have any form of cap and trade or carbon tax at any time in the near future. If President Obama could not get a cap and trade bill passed at the height of his popularity and with control of both houses, then it will not happen.

India’s Environment Minister is reported in DNA as saying, with respect to India and China’s emissions, that:

“Even though the levels of emissions are just not different but are dramatically different… we certainly have a commonality of interest in ensuring that there is no international agreement that puts an artificial barrier on our growth prospects,”

And the China Daily has said:

“China “could not and should not” set an upper limit on greenhouse gas emissions at the current phase, said Su Wei, the chief negotiator of China for climate change talks in Copenhagen, at a meeting in Beijing on China’s climate change policies in the post-Copenhagen era.

Su, who is also director of the department of combating climate change under the National Development and Reform Commission, said that China’s greenhouse gas emissions have to grow correspondingly as the country still has a long way to go in improving people’s livelihoods and eradicating poverty.”

China’s talk of reducing “carbon intensity” simply means they will aim to be more energy efficient which any enterprise should do.

Given then that the world’s major emitters will not be regulating their emissions and given that any cuts Australia makes, irrespective of one’s views on the causes of climate change, cannot possibly make a measurable or meaningful difference, can you please explain how it is in Australia’s national interest to make Australian people pay more for their power and for Australian companies to be less competitive?

With regard to companies wanting certainty, I am in business and I liked the certainty of your pre-election promise that “There will be no carbon tax under the government I lead”.

    Yours Faithfully,

Maybe “Joolya” should reds this article by Fred Singer.

I wonder sometimes if she is just currying favor with her communist Green partners for expedience sake. When push comes to shove and she realises that the electorate won’t cop a carbon tax she’ll dump it or be dumped herself by a nervous party.

From the other side of the Tasman I also wonder how any Australian PM can, at one and the same time, oversee the export of billions of dollars worth of coal from Australia to China for use in coal-burning electricity generating plants – a new one of which China will be commissioned each month for the next twenty years – at the same time, that is, as taxing Australians for their use of energy under the guise of preventing emissions of CO2 to the atmosphere. Do they not in fact realise that we share the same atmosphere?

Utter, unvarnished hypocrisy of the highest order!

At the same time, our PM is willing to pit one part of the community against the other, with privileges for some under an ETS scheme to sweeten its otherwise negative impact, in order to secure support from a coalition partner for hopeful re-election next year.

So it seems to me as if, regardless of any principles, the politicians motivation, as normal, is their own betterment at the expense of the rest of the community.

Really, instead of debating the science, we should be attempting to show our politicians that they will lose out in up-coming elections by pursuing such lunatic policies! But in saying that, until the science has been cleared of all the pseudo-science, the politicians still hold their ‘out of jail’ cards, don’t they?

    Paul

until the science has been cleared of all the pseudo-science,

What does a thermal image of a greenhouse show. ?

A greenhouse is warmer than it’s surroundings, and radiating more than it’s surroundings,
then why is it not cooler than it’s surroundings. ?????

Because conduction and convection in the surroundings is far more powerful at cooling than radiation losses from the greenhouse.
ie, reduced conduction and convection of sensible and latent heat (of water vapourisation) to the surroundings is what makes a greenhouse “work”,
NOT some imaginary “trapping” of radiation within the greenhouse.

BTW – Cloudy nights are warmer and more humid because of reduced convection due to the presence of clouds,
NOT some imaginary cloud “back radiation” that SUPPOSEDLY reaches the earth’s surface.
