Sabine Hossenfelder is sceptical about quantum computing as discussed in the following video.
Not discussed by Sabine but it looks like the Australian Government’s gift of $1 billion of taxpayer money to an American quantum computer company, PsiQuantum, is utterly pointless, as we already knew.
And in any case, the US venture capital market is huge. If they won’t fund something, it’s probably not worth doing.
But our stupid politicians were quite happy to fund a foreign company no venture capitalist was prepared to.

If the Australian Feral Guv’ment had any brains then they would be backing Industries like Computer Chips. But all we get is burnt fish and chips.
And those GGT changes will make it so difficult to get the Junior Explorers to raise Capital. Mum and Dads will no longer risk investing.
