The WHO is itching to trigger the climate and health “Emergency” Powers Act or whatever legalistic bomb our patsy governments signed on our behalf.
Apparently millions of people will die if we don’t have a UN rubber stamp called “Emergency” to save them — because, obviously the big rich countries would never think to send boatloads of fuel, food and clothes all by themselves. (And if they did, Lordy! Without being a conduit for millions of our dollars, how could the UN run its own grift and graft machine?)
WHO Commission says alert would trigger coordinated international response that could help avoid millions dying
Anna Bawden Health and social affairs correspondent, The Guardian
The climate crisis should be declared a global public health emergency by the World Health Organization, or millions more people will die unnecessarily, leading international experts have said.
Presumably the “Emergency” declaration gives them the tools to declare mandatory vaccination, or ban drugs they don’t like, or to funnel lots of cash.
So the WHO set up a committee to tell the WHO to declare an emergency, eh?
The independent pan-European commission on climate and health, which was convened by the WHO, concluded the climate crisis was such a worldwide threat to health that the WHO should declare it “a public health emergency of international concern” (Pheic).
So not independent at all.
And the thing that makes this year so awful is a tsunami, asteroid, volcano,… is a bunch of things which are the same every year:
The international spread of vector-borne disease, such as dengue and chikungunya, as well as the health impacts of extreme weather events, global heating, food insecurity and air pollution make a Pheic necessary, said the commission’s report, which will be presented to European ministers on Sunday before the WHO’s world health assembly starts on Monday.
Don’t miss the lingo — a Pheic is a “public health emergency of international concern”. Thats the highest level of health alert. So when Ebola goes global or an asteroid lands in Nevada, that’s it, they get the same rating as chikungunya.
Let’s all just call it a Pheic Emergency…

The committee includes former health and science ministers — so they’re complete Blob-devotees who know what side of the bread their organic-dairy-free-nut-margarine goes on.
It says something about them that they have to tell their fans that a rubber stamp can’t actually reverse climate change:
Pheics are the highest level of health alert. Previous declarations include infectious diseases such as Covid and Mpox. While declaring one would not on its own reverse climate change, it would trigger the kind of coordinated international response that the scale of the health crisis demands but has not yet materialised.
This is pure stone-age sorcery:
[Sir Andrew Haines] added: “If we carry on emitting at current rates, that will accelerate the risks to health for both current and future generations including: more people suffering and dying from excess heat, floods and infectious diseases, air pollution from wildfires, more preterm births and more food insecurity.”
Hello? Our wild increases in emissions in the last century have left us safer than we’ve ever been. The more CO2 we emit, the less people die of heat, floods, cold and frostbite.
There is no saving the WHO. Nothing it does couldn’t be done better by us directly. The demands it puts out are dangerous unaccountable, and infringements on our rights. It should be disbanded for even suggesting these reckless proposals.

We need to beware of tribute bands to The WHO, though.

If it dies before it gets old, I think more lives would be saved.

Spinball Wizard (there has to be a twist).
There’s going to be a wasteland. Bubba O’Really?!

Maybe we could get a substitute.

The WHO didn’t get the name completely right. It should be named, to be comprehensive: “a public health emergency of international concern and unilateral panic” abbreviated as the acronym (PheicUp). Pronounce as you wish.
90
Public Health Ultimately Compromised and Kicked Under the Pylon. …. it doesn’t make sense does it ? but then it does make sense too.
(The best I could do this time of night)
30
Australia’s fanatically globalist WHO-loving Government will probably be first to trigger when the time comes.
They are itching for more lockups and more totalitarian laws.
Hopefully we’ll have a conservative pro-freedom Government like One Nation before that happens.
BTW, whatever happened to monkeypox, or as the walking woke prefer to call it, Mpox? Apparently the name was changed because monkeypox is “racist”. But how? Surely the racist imagery is in the mind of the wokesters that imagined any connection to racist imagery? Non-racists made no such connection. Wokesters are projecting.
450
Monkey pox has been “grandparented” The government has found a new way to keep us safe from ourselves by limiting how much of our own money they can take away.
90
I think you mean ” by limiting how much of our own money we can keep”.
110
Monkey pox disappeared from the news headlines not because of racism, but the fact that the far majority of of Monkey pox was among the gay men community….Can’t have that in the news.
90
Aren’t there children’s fables about monsters that have no clue that they are monsters and like to take group photos?

Thank goodness ALL countries have a very good means of talking with each other.
In fact, more than one means.
We DO NOT need, in this day and age, someone who does not care about EACH country
and then DICTATE means of help.
I’m sure we’re grown up enough to work things out.
The UN, and their various grifter departments, have very long ago lost their usefullness.
The only people who have not realised this yet are those ensconced in those bureaucracies
and are thinking of their own skin in the game and their own made-up importance.
Begone with the lot of you!!

A global organisation that delivers a coordinated response to global pandemics is actually a really good idea. Individual countries that go out on their own and act in their own self-interested and sometimes delusional way is a recipe for disaster that affects everybody. COVID-19 was a good example of this.
The reduction in aid from WHO and USAID is one reason why we are seeing the reemergence of Ebola. Even measles is making a comeback.
175
“The reduction in aid from WHO and USAID is one reason why we are seeing the reemergence of Ebola.”
Any proof at all of that? Maybe you just don’t understand the waves of any disease that comes and goes over decades. You’d probably want to vaccinate at the end of a cycle and claim that the vax killed the disease… Oh wait, that was polio..
“Even measles is making a comeback.” ..as it always does!
“A global organisation that delivers a coordinated response to global pandemics is actually a really good idea. ”
A global organisation that costs billions of dollars every year when there is no pandemic, but spends its time working out how to increase its power over countries, is still not going to delivers a worthwhile coordinated response to global pandemics…
“COVID-19 was a good example of this.”… Just as the WHO said don’t close the borders, let people with diseases have their freedom of movement between countries… which is exactly what they are saying with Hanta right now!
291
Yes, the report referenced in The Guardian article. https://gpmb.org/reports/report-2026
THE EVIDENCE IS ALARMING—TRUST IS ERODED & INEQUITY EXPOSED
• Public health emergencies of the past 10 years—from Ebola to mpox—demonstrate that the world
is not substantially safer from their impact, with rising economic and social costs, weakening
access to medical countermeasures, declining financing, and societies emerging poorer, more
unequal and more divided. Critical areas are neglected, from One Health and multisectoral
approaches to calibrating public health and social measures and confronting misinformation.
• Most critical, the bedrock of PPR—trust and equity—is collapsing. Trust is eroding: between
governments and citizens; between countries; in multilateral organizations; in industry. Deep
rooted inequity is exposed: in access to information, knowledge, financing, and countermeasures,
from personal protective equipment to life-saving vaccines.
029
Simon says: “A global organisation that delivers a coordinated response to global pandemics is actually a really good idea”
Sure, when second largest economy on the planet is a murderous totalitarian regime that buys UN votes, what could possibly go wrong?
When most of the world doesn’t have free media or a democracy, why not collect their corrupt representatives into one giant pile of bribery and extortion?
An unaccountable global organization is not just likely but guaranteed to be a tool of the rich and powerful. I predict it will spread pandemics, stop cheap and useful medicines, hurt the poor and breed wars. Oh wait…
Tell me Simon, if the UN was a corrupt bag of self-serving grifters, what would stop that?
341
Is this the same WHO that told us, “covid can’t transfer human to human, or no need to close borders”
Give us a break.

Surely you say this in jest? At this point I’m assuming you’re just trolling for your own amusement?!!
What you say should be viewed in the context of this quote:
“If Men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and the next place, oblige it to control itself.”
― James Madison
Men (humans of both genders) are not angels, so become corrupted by power, just as the WHO has, and therefore they are not to be trusted or enabled.
Your second paragraph is complete unsubstantiated rubbish.
120
“Even measles is making a comeback”
Nothing to do with open borders, mass immigration (especially the illegal kind), less reliable energy systems, higher taxes reducing our ability to fend for ourselves, no-go zones where even the police and ambos cannot go, etc, etc, etc.
No. In your mind there is only one reason for all the ills of the World – CO2. An amazing molecule.
140
“Even measles is making a comeback”
These little buggies have been making ‘comebacks’ long before we ever even thought about scrawling the word comeback on a clay tablet.
Coming back is their reason to exist and their superpower.
If all we do is try to stop them from making ‘comebacks’, history clearly indicates they will win.
They are like Ice Ages in this way.
Wait … we’re trying to stop it from getting warmer?
So we want Ice Ages?
I get confused sometimes.

I’m waiting for responsible governance to reemerge. Responsible spending, responsibility for one’s promised policies during election time, responsible reporting on recent outbreaks.
That’ll be my etched response on the rock face of a cave wall (which should get me First Nation’s reverence in a few decades).
30
I’m waiting for responsible governance to reemerge.
Please supply one historical example of this “responsible governance” having previously happened.
20
There is no reason for anyone to get measles in this day and age. Only a small number of people (< 7%) can piggy-back off herd immunity. You are collective proof that the report is correct in that trust and equity are the bedrock of public health..
06
That depends on where they are, doesn’t it?
It also depends on how many people took notice of the “peer reviewed” link between measles (or was it rubella?) vaccines and autiusm 🙂

Poppycock!

Fossil fuels have ensured we live in the safest period in Human history and since the start of the Industrial Revolution Human lives have flourished.
So what’s their problem because this only takes a few minutes online? Are our govts really this stupid and want to waste many more billions of $ for a guaranteed zero return?
360
In 1900 there were 1 billion. All gone. Old age if nothing else.
It 2026 there are 8 billion people on the planet.
I fail to see the disaster of rapid CO2 driven Climate Change which started in 1750 and is now nearing peak lethality.
Consider if a million people really died from man made climate change in a year, that would only increase total deaths by 1%.
Unless it happened in one country, no one would know.
For example world wide deaths from drowning are 300,000 people per year. So WHO could ban water.
Deaths from Malaria are double at 600,000 per year. What is WHO doing exactly?
210
It’s especially non significant when you consider the world’s population increases by 100 million per year. But, but….the hospitals will be swamped Ross. Well, perhaps if all the hospital staff weren’t making TikTok dancing videos, they might cope.

Pheic? How is that word pronounced? Are they just trolling us?

Bunch of Phreics, what can you expect?

It’s the Irish spelling, like ejjit. We all know what it really means.

The word ‘pheic’ was actually coined in New Zealand. To the rest of us, the NZ pronunciation is ‘phuc’.

Polio is making a comeback because those Saracen fundamentalists, the Taliban, so beloved by the Left, kill all the aid workers attempting to immunise children in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Why isn’t the WHO or UN stopping them? Not the US, Australia’s or other allies’ problem, the Left didn’t want them fighting the Taliban. And now Aussie war hero Ben Roberts-Smith is being persecuted and prosecuted for allegedly killing them.
300
It’s not just the Taliban doing it.
The jihadis in West Africa have been doing it for years, claiming the polio vaccines were invented by evil Jewish scientists to sterilize muslims.
50
Simon
Covid, covid, covid, covid, ad nauseam. Countries with fewer excess deaths didn’t or were unable to mass vaccinate their populations with experimental mRNA vaccines. The more we are ordered to something (or else), the more we need to be vigilant. The WHO needs to be held to account for their pathetic threats.

Bah humbug:
‘leading international experts’
There they go again, spouting complete borrocks.

Within the last 7/10 days I saw a photo of the WHO “ leader “ addressing someone or something about the cruise ship ( cruise crucible of diseases) and the Hantavirus.
My first reaction was that evil had once again appeared & that the WHO is once again up to no good.
How right I was!!!
WHO & who’s who in the Pharma industry no doubt already have all the vaccines & “ drugs” to combat the coming an avalanche of viruses they’ve been cooking up !!

I’m sick of hearing about
As I said yesterday, you always know to expect the worst BS when you see the phrase “experts tell” or “experts say/said”.
Also, these supposed experts are never named.
Real experts don’t need to tell others that they’re experts.
It’s a journalistic crutch to dress up subjective opinions, vague generalisations, or thinly veiled green marketing as objective truth.
True authority is demonstrated, not declared by some woke journalist. True experts are too busy working to indulge in self-promotion and getting journalists to repeat their claims.
When someone says they are an “expert” or they are claimed to be one, the expectation is to trust them blindly. When an actual expert speaks, they lead with evidence, data and verifiable logic, allowing the information to speak for itself.
Proclaiming oneself an expert or repeating what a self-proclaimed expert says, usually signals an appeal to authority (argumentum ad verecundiam).
Journalists and government/Left propagandists trot out “experts say/said” when they don’t have enough hard data to back up a claim, using the phrase to manufacture supposed “consensus”. Of course, if an opinion is based on consensus alone, then it’s not science.
130
An expert is someone who knows all there is to know – about very little.

Here are Human death rates from all extreme weather events 1900 to 2025 and note the huge fall after the 1960s.
So why can’t the stupid WHO donkeys look up the data, or can’t they understand a simple chart covering the last 125 years?
So why do we now live in such a safe period when we know that we have 5.2 billion MORE people at risk today than 1960? Just 3 billion in 1960 and 8.2 billion in 2025.

Well that is not good news.
Better news comes from MS Copilot:
Secretary‑General António Guterres has warned that the UN is facing a “race to bankruptcy” due to high arrears and delayed payments.
Key points:
The 2026 regular budget has been sharply reduced to $3.238 billion, down 15.1% from 2025.
Staffing will be cut by 18.8%, reducing posts from 13,809 to 11,594.
The UN ended 2024 with $760 million in arrears, and must return $300 million in credits to member states in early 2026, worsening liquidity.
Only 136 of 193 member states had paid their 2025 assessments.
Thank you POTUS Trump, the greatest leader in history.
From the great leader’s social media:
Maybe the UN is trying to recover some of their US funding by winding back their Climate Change™ alarm.
The real point in stepping away from RCP8.5 is that it recognises CO2 cannot do as much as expected. Carbon combustion is reasonably aligned with RCP8.5 but it overpredicts the observed warming. Still a long way short of recognising that carbon combustion does nothing but reality starting to gel.
230
More great news from the UN and hopefully even more countries will refuse to hand over their wasted funding next year.

What this is really all about is a budget emergency … got it!

Again, here are the Human death rates from fires and burns 1980 to 2023.
The World death rates and other low income to high income countries are chosen. The higher the income the lower the death rates and yet even high risk Australia has a lower death rate than all the other high income countries.
And an extra 3.5 billion people at risk today than 1980. So when will these silly donkeys wake up and learn to think?

Again, why are we so safe when flying on jet airliners today?
The global death rates have plummeted since 1970 and today about half the equivalent Human population fly every year. Of course many repeat flyers to make up that number.
Terrorist bombings are also included in the fatalities. So how do we have billions more people flying today, but a lot fewer fatalities as well?

The absolute worst thing about all this (apart from the things that are even worse) is that the WHO is motivated to let Ebola and other diseases spread so that they can step in like heroes and suck up cash. WHO was it that said Donald Trump should not implement a blanket travel ban after Covid started?
80
“Except that our wild increase in emissions this last century ”
700% since 1950, 76 years.
But if you look at actual measured CO2 it’s linear. You cannot add an exponential and get linear.
Behind all this science nonsense from the IPCC, the fundamental idea that CO2 levels are man made from coal, oil, gas and even man controllable has never been proven.
Quite the opposite, as man made CO2 is not tagged with C14, it is provable that only 2.0% of atmospheric CO2 is from fossil fuels. Why is this so hard to understand? It’s a direct measurement!
And NASA has shown that growing trees has zero effect. In fact more Co2 means more trees, as observed every year since 1988 by NASA. 40% more CO2 means 40% more trees.
We live in a world where real science is ignored. Political science and science fiction are the same thing. And Australian politicians say one thing to get elected and immediately do the opposite.
Why doesn’t anyone check to see if fossil fuel CO2 is actually in the atmosphere when 98% of all CO2 is in the water?
170
Why is 98% of all CO2 gas dissolved in the deep oceans which cover 3/4 of the planet? Because C(O2) is a obviously heavier than air (O2). And C(O2) is 30x more soluble than O2. And fish breathe.
130
CO2 levels dropped alarmingly during the Younger Dryas.
https://www.geologi.lu.se/mats-rundgren/publication/1e43eca7-7085-4969-8925-27e934b27195
Yet only the Northern Hemisphere felt the chill, Australia was two degrees warmer than today, same as the Holocene Climate Optimum. A reduction in atmospheric CO2 didn’t automatically reduce temperature worldwide.
51
The other made up story is that CO2 is a critical and tricky component of world temperature. In fact the effect is saturated and small. As physicists can calculate, even doubling CO2 would change emissitivity by 1% and so world temperature by 0.7C maximum.
Water is by an enormous margin the driver of all weather. Not only as clouds but also as invisible water vapour which is between 1% and 4% of the atmosphere across the planet. But of course no one believes that water has any effect on the weather long term. But they are prepared to believe tiny CO2 is critically important for world temperature. Even after 38 years of waiting for the CO2 rapture?
Perhaps water should be banned too. It is a product of combustion and has a vastly greater impact on temperatures and if we burn enough fossil fuel, the seas will rise and we will all drown? It’s about as logical.
140
We need a handful of credible scientists and politicians to convince the electorate that CO2 is not a temperature control knob. Are we there yet?
61
We have a staff of 6,000 in the CSIRO. And likely another 30,000 full time in Universities. And 30,000 University educated scientists, often teachers. Plus engineers.
We have great scientists like the late Oxford Don Tom Quirk and Geology/Mining Prof Ian Plimer, many more. No one listens. And we honor fake Professor Bruce Pascoe as a senior authority on aboriginal history as lived experience. While Head of the History Deparment Prof Geoffrey Blainey was run out of Melbourne University for telling the truth. Head of Physics in Townsville Prof Peter Ridd was robbed of his superannuation for telling the truth, against the staff rules of the university and he was sued with government money. Generous people donated $1Million cash to help and the government still shut him down on a technicality. And we publicly are forced to thank people who did nothing everytime we open a new stadium or building. We even get welcomed to our own country while in our own country? No one was invade, nobody was robbed, nobody was enslaved, nothing was stolen. There was nothing in the first place.
Governments do NOT want to know the truth.
Because they know it’s all lies.
Governments are run by public servants and directed by failed socialist lawyers who dream of a United Nations position like Helen Clarke. These are people who could not get another job.
And our politicians like Scott Morrison lie and sign us up without any warning to international agreements which are ‘binding’ and on which our laws are allegedly based. No sign of facts, science, scientific argument. The UN says the IPCC says, the WHO says. They are all political bodies with zero authority, zero scientific credibilty and an appalling record on settling conflicts, the purpose of the UN.
If the governments really wanted the truth, they don’t have far to look. And that applies to aboriginal welfare, the mystery behind the Bondi shooting massacre of Jews at Christmas on Bondi Beach, where $42Billion a year vanishes in raw aboriginal cash and as much again in NDIS, NBN, Green transmission lines, windmills, electric cars. Now over $40 billion for Snowy II and the destruction of National Parkland with no guarantee of success to build something no one needs or will use even if it is finished.
$2.5Trillion in debt and climbing rapidly and the Australian governments are jacking up taxation, not to pay back the money but to spend more!
There is no way any politician wants to hear from actual scientists, engineers, social workers, historians.
In fact they are building a brass statue of Daniel Andrews. Perhaps they will inscribe the names of his victims on the plinth?
I would love to see the payback plan, the original cost justification for Snowy II, more expensive then the British tunnel, twice as expensive as the Panama Canal and absolutely useless. Because for oil, coal, gas, nuclear, there is zero need for Snowy II, so all this huge amount of cash is subsidy for the windmill and solar owners. And half the energy is lost in the pump.

Pehaps a Royal Commission into rapid man made CO2 tipping point Global Warming? 38 years of rapid dangerous global warming and where is it in Australia? Not in any place I know, most of which are actually cooler, prior to homogenization.

Can we just tell WHO to go jump into Lake Geneva? What with Hantavirus and now Ebola, the same discredited experts are rolled out again. Even Deborah Birx ( scarf lady) has had her say on Ebola. She’s the last person to trust after openly admitting she conned President Trump into COVID restrictions.

There has been a big drop in drowning death rates around the world since 1980 and yet an extra 3.5 billion people at risk today.
Many countries selected at the link and high income countries have much lower rates than low income countries.

Remember rapid sea level rise. Manhatten under water 15 years ago? I rarely hear this scare.
But consider the mouth of the Ganges/Brahmaputra in the country of Bangladesh. Maybe 180 million people living in a swamp where half the land is less than half a meter above sea level. That’s not even a wave. Surely if in the last 38 years the rapid sea level rise had happened, they would have noticed? (Actually the delta has 273.6 million (173.6 million Bangladesh and 100 million West Bengal, India)
When will these EOW (End of World) predictions start to have any resemblance to reality? All the scares of 1988 are now in the distant past. And still the scam continues and the WHO needs to save the planet, as it did with the Wuhan Flu. By renaming it to COVID and exonerating the Wuhan Institute for killer viruses run by the Chinese Communist Army. Clearly innocent. It must have been on an American frozen chicken, apparently.
140
TdeF, here’s Andrew Bolt’s 5 minute talk with hydrographic surveyor Daniel Fitzhenry and he doesn’t think we have too much to worry about dangerous SLR at Fort Denison NSW since 1914.
In fact the BOM data rise is debatable and he says this tide gauge data is more accurate than the satellite data.
Again, where is our dangerous climate change or Biden’s existential threat?

All these scares quietly fell apart long ago. But the creators of this great river of money do not care. They have all the signed agreements. And if nothing ever happens, the seas don’t rise, the planet cools, the polar bears don’t vanish, they will take credit. It’s how scams work, feeding on a river of money. A politicians picnic. And Al Gore still insists he told the truth. Sure. As if the innumerate billionaire self promoter cared anyway.
90
Interesting to me the mentality, mostly of the Western educated elite, that demands freedom of expression of every possible sexual identity, and then demands the power to lock us all in our homes or worse, and force for profit chemical products into our bloodstreams.
70
That is entirely consistent. It’s a dictatorship. Preferably communist. Unlike a capitalist system, all the incompetent people are at the top.
80
This is precisely how stagflation unfolds. Economic growth stalls while the cost of living continues rising. The average person gets crushed from both directions simultaneously. Wages cannot keep pace with food, fuel, transportation, and housing costs. Washington Post noted US inflation has already climbed to 3.8%, the highest since 2023, largely driven by energy prices. Europe faces even worse structural problems because its economy is far more dependent on imported energy and heavily burdened by regulation and taxation.
50
But economic growth and productivity in the US are soaring. Tariffs have reversed the massive trade imbalances. Factories are coming back to life. Jobs too. China has just promised to order another 550 Boeing 747s! Perversely energy prices have only risen because the US is selling so much oil that they have to compete for their own oil. Then you get socialist California.
The economic giant of California is a lot of the problem as it is the only state which has stopped the pipelines and made itself dependent on imported oil with by far the highest gas prices in the US. California used to be a major oil producing state. And the invention of AI animation in music, voice and film by Hollywood will be its undoing as the need for permanent sunshine and overpriced actors and masses of extras is cancelled by AI.
You cannot rely on the Washington post, the US media in general, to tell the whole truth or to be independent (or the government funded ABC,BBC, CBC). The NY Times in particular has become the enemy of Israel in particular, which is really odd as the major Times newspapers were Jewish owned. It is part of a war we have also seen recently in Australia between anti Israel secular Jews and the rest. The collapse of the Adelaide Writer’s Week due to Louise Adler (former editor-in-chief of Tatler, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker and The Daily Beast ) is another case of this now open warfare. And the New York Times has gone barking mad.

Puh! I’m at or close to flipping point these days between weather ( forecasts ?) reality and modern mankind in business THe youth of today and their attitudes .
WHO wants to save MILLIONS from dying, but equally wants to KILL millions … in the name of saving the planet. What is the difference between DYING and Killing …. end result ?
20
Even if one believed in a climate emergency, surely one would recognise that it would impact differently on different regions, economies, terrains etc. So what would a “coordinated response” be, dear WHO?
