Left climate mob admits they might need to be more friendly
We know a movement is on the way down when they start to analyze what is going wrong.
Faced with the Worst Possible Outcome (Trump is still the President), one corner of the climate zealot world is starting to wonder if bundling The Climate Cause in with the Femo-Gay-Lezbian-Gaza-Project as an all or nothing package might be counterproductive. There is even awareness that they are supposed to be the compassionate ones.
Wait til they find out they manipulate, coerce and bully teenage girls and scare toddlers…
To motivate their team, they stoke their worst possible fear, and what’s worse than the climate apocalypse — well, it’s when voters choose a right wing government.
Without pluralism within the climate movement, we risk handing the future to the far right
…the two of us share a growing concern about the direction of the climate movement. A project that ought to be broad, open and compassionate has come to be dominated by a narrow set of ideological demands which leave little room for genuine diversity of political perspective. Increasingly, participation in the climate movement has come with an ideological entry fee—where new participants must adhere to specific views beyond climate issues.
Those who want to participate are expected to accept a “package deal” of positions on issues such as race, gender and social justice.
They even call it ideological gatekeeping, and then describe how the cancel culture begins.
“…members were often asked to adopt the slogan “No climate justice without racial justice,” which, in practice, meant aligning with the Black Lives Matter (BLM)
Possibly this article was written by a couple of half-way sensible folk, who were given the job to reach the crazy-flock and pull them back from the puritanical cliff edge.
But they don’t want to demoralize the unwashed masses too much, so they try to roll out some “hope” to end the speech on.
Here’s what Nirvana looks like to people who have never talked to a single climate skeptic. They cling to the fantasy that the average voter (they call them the “hard-right”) will wake up from the non-existent condition they call “climate denial”:
We predict a reversal in the 2030s. As climate denial mostly recedes on the right, hard-right pro-climate movements may emerge. For them, ecological concern could become a vehicle for white nationalism, opposition to democratic institutions and authoritarianism. This would be a bitter irony if it arose because the climate movement failed to engage a broad political spectrum.
Just like the climate modelers — the definitions are inane, the assumptions are delusional, and the predictions are the opposite of reality.

You would think that the Climate Modellers would have modelled it on themselves.
Every model is wrong.
Reality is real.

I don’t think it will happen. The climate change scam is an essential weapon of the Left due to its destructive effects on Western economies and societies as a whole, the very societies they wish to deconstruct and destroy. (Motice that other advanced economies like China, with CO2 emissions more than twice the next biggest emitter, the US, is exempt from economy-destroying CO2 restrictions.)
Also, as I pointed out yesterday (with linked videos), the Left are becoming even more violent and dangerous and feel more empowered by the far Left Governments in place all around most of the Western world except the US and a few other places. I don’t think the anti-energy lobby feels any need to present a calm and rational face when they seem to be achieving everything they want through aggression and violence with the tacit acceptance of such Governments.
Anyway, even if the anti-energy zealots do manage to present a calm and rational face, it will only be a form of strategic lying to gain acceptance of rational people. Beneath their veneer they will still be the Far Left activists who embrace the whole menu of Leftist causes.
Never trust a Leftist, even one who claims to be reformed!

Europe is currently suffering major economic losses due to the unavailability of cheap energy, or any energy for that matter. Their illustrious self-elected president, one “Ursula is My Name, Lying is My Game”, is promoting greater use of renewables as the answer. A tragi-comedy in the making!

Taqiyya again.

Anyone up for “inventing a suitably-potent “tipple?
Call it a “Taqiyya Sunrise”?

Ah, yes.
The Sunrise you’re having when you’re not having a Sunrise.

The citizens of western countries are already taking the baseball bats out of the closet as seen in the recent UK council elections. And the main policy of ON in Farrer by election was to completely dismantle CC policies, resulting in a landslide win. We are definitely witnessing the end of the Marxist CC political era because that emperor has absolutely no clothes left. You can only lie for so long before the reality of poverty and destitution overrides the constant left wing BS propaganda.
The challenge for conservative parties going forward will be how to repair the damage when they finally get elected. Two decades of this CC driven economic and social attack has left us with no manufacturing sector, an energy grid that’s too expensive for business to survive but will continue for decades due to locked-in contacts that pay rivers of gold to foreign companies, social breakdown and a housing crisis from mass immigration, and a pile of debt so high it can never be repaid. Down here we can probably try to drill baby drill to repay the debt, but we will need to reverse a mountain of red, green and black tape in parliament that is designed to make sure nothing can be drilled ever again.

Look how the Left treated Patrick Moore when he left Greenpeace. He wanted to present a peaceful, rational and pro-science aspect to environmentalism and they rejected him.
E.g. Based on rational scientific views Moore was pro-nuclear, sceptical of anthropogenic global warming, supported properly managed logging, was opposed to wholesale bans on useful industrial chemicals like chlorine, supports GMOs. (Yes, Greenpeace wanted to ban the element chlorine and its compounds* which ultimately led to his resignation.

Few conservatives would disagree with such views.
He is also opposed to the ecofascism of the Left and their anti-human agenda. As would conservatives be similarly opposed.
490
It’s really interesting how they’re framing the shift in fear – moving from climate collapse to a conservative government. I agree that a lack of diverse viewpoints within the movement could be a significant weakness.
260
Well, look at the effect of Trump on employment of those who relied on Government largesse to continue, even increase.
170
Don’t attack the science or the source, attack the messengers and deniers.
Left CANNOT be wrong – it would destroy their entire world view. Nor will they ever apologies for being credulous fools, the education system taught them to be thus.
210
Since they believe that the climate is in crisis and this constitutes an existential threat to humanity and the planet (curious) it is apparent that they are not going to listen. No amount of reason or discussion will change their minds. They are adhered to the sect.

Along similar lines, I’ve found this guys posts (US-based) to be often worth reading.

Prejudicial and false sterotyping on full display there. There are informed left of center skeptics, and some uninformed right of center climate hand wringers/virtue signalers, and plenty of apathetic people about climate across the political spectrum. There were also many opprotunists just hoping to cash in while it was thing.
150
Just exactly what is this
“climate denial”
they speak of: to deny ‘the climate’ sounds vaguely reminiscent of denying the one, two, three (true) God or gods or goddesses of Otherlings, ie. heathen, infidel, outsider, unbeliever, unclean.
Tribal warfare death cult 2026-style (or lack thereof) of the modern-day Carbophobe. 👻

We must point out that the climate realists should always rely on accurate data and evidence, while the climate alarmists must rely on their delusional fantasy world.
All of Ehrlich’s fantasies were wrong and Simon was correct and easily won their bet after Ehrlich’s predictions bit the dust.
But can anyone tell us why they believe in their fantasy world and then how we should fix their delusions? And then please tell us the true cost of their crazy mitigation?
And tell us why we would be better off if we were stupid enough to follow their advice?
Never forget that BASE-LOAD energy security means national security and a more prosperous future.
280
Neville asks:
But can anyone tell us why they believe in their fantasy world
It’s their ideology. Left-wing anti-Capitalist ideology. It defeats all rational, scientific knowledge.
They have their own science. Lysenkoism. They seek to suppress scientific truth.
Rational explanations cannot change that.
70
The left is all about putting feelings before facts. If there is a position on something that allows people to do or think whatever they want, the left will feel compelled to support it as saying “no” is mean and hurtful. The immaturity of the left is at staggering levels.
40
I don’t agree. The Left are basically communists in varying shades of red. The aim is to destroy Western culture because it puts individual rights above state rights. The Left still want to control the world using such outfits as the WEF and the UN and the climate scam is just one of many that seeks to undermine Western countries. Notice how communist countries are exempt from such restrictions.

The quotes from famous and learned men confirm the adage that nothing is new. They also remind us that we are destined to make the same mistakes because we ignore the lessons of the past. We are in the position of social decline because we are so generous to those who do not deserve it. Why be a poorly paid and hard worked apprentice when the dole pays better and one can stay in bed?
Until the social service system is severely pruned we will continue to fund the indolent at the expense of the industrious.
30
They are welcome to all the pluralism they want. It isn’t going to make the slightest bit of difference. I know people who will now comment on social media about the harm and futility of net zero and renewables. These are people who previously wouldn’t comment on anything anywhere on social media. The last people you would expect to say anything publicly. Their socials are full of family stuff. But here they are, publicly decrying net zero and renewables. It’s over.

Nice costumes in the picture, pity about the sourpuss expressions. I think the author has the prognosis backwards. More and more western countries are watering down or abandoning net zero and climate hysteria as reality bites. It is not the right abandoning denial but the left abandoning climate hysteria. HALLELUJAH! More and more evidence is emerging to suggest the whole basis of CAGW is a scam. It is also becoming more and more apparent that CAGW became just a vehicle for pushing extreme totalitarian left wing ideology, hence the tight packaging and gatekeeping.
In the end however we still have elections (at least for the present) and that means the population decides who governs. That also means they take responsibility for the decisions made in their name. The media in general have become a 5th column, the indoctrination arm of the left which makes objectivity difficult but people in a democracy still have an obligation to think and if they choose to behave like sheep they will reap what they sow. That ultimately is the weakness as well as the strength of a democracy. Some countries around the world are waking up and voting in more rational representatives. I can only hope the Australian population wakes up before its too late although it almost is already.
180
‘Nice costumes in the picture, pity about the sourpuss expressions’!
My reaction was similar; what sulky faces!

Oh but that picture is the perfect symbolism of the pagan climate cult. So disconnected from reality. Like fake childlike fairies living in the best possible era (nearly) but so unhappy about it.
They are deflated that the world doesn’t appreciate their vision.
Sorry, I thought their predictions of the 2030s when “the right” will start to worry about climate change were hysterical delusional fantasies, but perhaps I didn’t make that obvious.
141
Tweaked the post to hopefully explain their predictions quote better:

Mr Wong has stuck it to the reds by saying politely how can we supply your iron ore, coal and LNG if we can’t get Avtur for the FIFO workers, and diesel for mining and rail to ports.
Looks like it worked, because self interest.

Conservatives are common. The hard right does not exist. The National Socialist Worker’s Party aka The NAZIs were hard left. Like the Fascists in Italy led by Hitler’s Hero, Mussolini.
In Australia it was amazing that a few ‘NAZI’s turned up to the women’s rally attended by Victorian Upper House woman Moira Deeming. And it is now becoming clearer that these few pretend NAZIS are likely sponsored, as in the US, by the extreme left. I wondered at the time how a mere dozen ‘NAZIs’ could be compared say with 10,000 marchers for BLM in Melbourne in the middle of lockdown? Especially when these pretend NAZIs turned up at a “LET WOMEN SPEAK” rally. Why? Who paid? And then the Victorian Leader of the Liberal party labelled her a NAZI. Was it planned? But independently funded by an outraged donor, she sued the Head of the Parliamentary Liberal party and won! Lawyer Persutto was going to bankrupt her, drive her out of parliament on the basis of a dozen actors at a large rally?
John Persutto was saved from bankruptcy by the very same Liberal party leaders and Moira then was punished for winning her case by immediate deselection from her own seat. Why?
Moira Deeming won it back because the man the Liberal party chose a recently convicted criminal to replace her. “Kashyap Patel pleaded guilty in 2024 to one count each of grooming a child under 16 years of age, transmitting indecent communication to a person under 16 years of age, and sexual assault of a child under 16 years of age.” How could they not have known that?
You get the distinct feeling that the Liberal party is utterly complicit in this attack on Deeming, Hanson, Australian society and this farce of the “Extreme Right”.
We had the same with naive Pauline Hanson who thirty years ago was sent straight to jail for electoral funding expenses even though she did not receive a cent. Exonerated and released after months in jail, she should have had enough warning that Liberal Party will not tolerate actual conservatives allegedly from the ‘extreme right’. Even real criminals do not go to jail in Australia.
Hitler won over the German Conservative party with lies. And then arrested and jailed conservatives in concentration camps, long before the Jews.
In the US last week the hard left Southern Poverty Law Center indicted on federal fraud charges but as importantly was found to be funding actors on the ‘extreme right’. .
This false flag was used by Hitler. He ordered the burning down of the Reichstag and blamed it on the communists and executed his own man. In 1939 German soldiers dressed up as Poles to raid a border radio station, his excuse for invading Poland and the start of WWII.
I do not believe there is a real ‘extreme right’ in Australia OR the US. What actors there are are simply paid stooges. And the very big and violent America wide AntiFA is not anti Fascist but the actual Fascist army. Like Hitler’s Brown shirts. Or Mussolini’s Black Shirts.
Climate change, DEI, ESG, Trans, Native title, Invasion day, destroying history and prosecuting heroes and are part of world wide attack on Conservatives. In many cases they have enlisted significant Conservatives in their cause. How else can you explain John Persutto and the Victorian Liberal party? Or in the US Mitch McConnell with his billionaire Chinese wife. And the flipping of other leading Republicans like Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney and even Tucker Carlson?
There is no extreme right. Australia has never been a military dictatorship. Howard did not have people tossed out of helicopters as in Argentina. We have never had men with machine guns on the streets. It’s fake news and a few ratty actors playing dress-ups with swastikas.
Albo Akbar is now PM with absolute control but a lower popular vote than loser Bill Shorten? This is the result of splitting and dividing the Conservatives, partly by creating the fake story of an ‘extreme right’. The agreed enemy of all parties is Pauline Hanson who has been shown to be nothing less than level headed and outspoken. Along with a devastating jail term, courtesy of the Liberal party and John Howard. And she has been proven to be right, not far right.
360
It was a huge marketing coup by the Left to label National Socialism as a movement of the freedom-loving, free enterprise right, when it’s simply another brand of Socialism because after WW2 they didnt want their particular brand of socialism to be associated with the evil of the National Socialists.
And like all Socialists, the National Socialists, the Trotskyists, the Leninists, the Marxists, the Maoists, the Titoists, the Anarchists, the International Socialists, the Fascists, the Eurocommunists, the Democratic Socialists, they all hate each other.
231
The latest popular stunt is to spout Conservative ideas and when elected, go extreme left. As with the Governor of Virginia. Or the new President of Hungary. Or the Mayor of New York.
Governor Abigail Spanberger of Virgina campaigned solely on ‘affordability’ and promised to reduce taxes. What’s not to like about that?
But once elected she doubled down on the hated taxes, like a very unpopular $500 tax on owning two cars.
More significantly and against her own assurances, she immediately redrew the Federal electoral map of Virginia which change 5 Republic and 6 Democrat seats to 1 republican and 9 Democrat seats.
Even the plebiscite only won by 1%, but suddenly Republicans had only 10% of the seats. It was the old ‘bait and switch’
A judge refused to certify this win and yesterday the Supreme Court decided to let the judge’s decision stand. And the Federal Supreme court just did the same for Louisiana.
The Virginia judge correctly pointed out that the change violated the constitution many ways and the ballot wording itself was grossly misleading. This highlights a democrat abuse of a Voter law which has been interpreteed for years to allow politicians to redraw outrageous boundaries to increase the number of black seats. This will change the political landscape in America, reducing the number of black and Democrat members to something closer to their proportion of the population.
The point is that lying politicians follow Adam Bandt’s motto, “tell them what they want to hear and when you get power, you do what you like.”
240
And the same thing happened with honest Tony Abbott, winnner in a landslide and very quickly removed by his own party. This is the new Liberal party which seems more interested in putting Labor in power. And from Labor royalty, Malcolm Turnbull is the epitome of a fake Conservative. His theft of $444 Million and his idiocy with Snowy II has cost this country dearly. Snowy II, now over $42Billion, may never be finished. You cannot economically justify the further expense from where we are today. Think of all the pipelines we could have had, all the dams, all the oil, coal and gas. And Malcolm get his bronze statue, like Daniel Andrews. The Extreme left is the problem.
320
After the Liberal MPs party room meeting in Canberra when he was replaced by new Prime Minister Turnbull Tony Abbott met with journalists, one of his comments was advice to them not to accept anonymous leaking of confidential or other information unless the source was willing to be named, and was named.
He was replaced by a narrow margin of votes by Liberal MPs, not the Liberal Party organisation.
And of course the rise of the left faction or LINO left was first obvious in 2008 when Turnbull challenged Opposition Leader Dr Brendan Nelson successfully, and from reports by a narrow margin of Liberal MP votes. In 2009 they replaced him with Tony Abbott as Opposition Leader.
However, since late 2018 when Scott Morrison replaced Malcolm Turnbull as Prime Minster the LINO influence was in decline. Earlier 2026 Angus Taylor was appointed. y a two-thirds margin of Liberal MP votes, and Matt Canavan was appointed unopposed as Deputy Leader/Leader of the National Party.

TdeF,
We now hear this accusation about Libs over and over.
But is it true?
Has a Lib ever admitted to it?
Who benefits?
The Libs I know laugh at the idea and say “That is political tactics at work”.

50
Sure, of course. But it’s my observation, not some whisphering campaign.
I would love to hear what the Victorian Liberals are up to with Moira Deeming? How long before they defenestrated her for the third time? And why?
And Howards recommends a preference swap with First Nation. He was the one who brought in the first illegal massive and hidden Carbon tax, the RET scheme in 2001. Even though he said to me in public that ‘he is agnostic on Climate Change’. Then why?
Malcolm Turnbull was never a Conservative. Not a Conservative bone in his body.
His Great Uncle was leader of the UK labor party. All the Australian labor leaders came to his mother’s home regularly. But he was now wealthy and Labor would not have him in the party. But the Liberal party accepted him, regardless of his history which was odd. And he proceeded to destroy the Liberal party from within. He even trademarked “Malcolm’s Liberals” and did a deal with the Greens to swap votes to create a new party, crippling both Labor and the Liberals. The damage done by Malcolm to the Liberal party and to Australia is still extraordinary. Snowy II alone is $42Billion and may never be finished, certainly not before 2032.
So there is what the Liberal politicians say and then there is what they did to Tony Abbott. And it cost most of them their seats. So why? Idiocy or deceit?
There is nothing to laugh about. I am waiting for the next move on Moira Deeming. And an explanation from someone in the Liberal party for what has happened so far. There is none.
190
Once again it’s all about The Liberals, specifically it is all about the State Executive and more specifically the senior executive who has been asked to resign.
Victoria State Executive needs the broom put through as the Federal Executive has done with New South Wales, being was the centre of LINO left influence.
Note 2026 election of Angus Taylor by Liberal MPs, a two-thirds majority ballot result as compared to very close voting with changes in leaders from Nelson 2007-2008 onwards. And Matt Canavan unopposed at the National Party
Union controlled Labor have far-left to centre-left factions, and right now the far-left are dominating the government.
90
I am not concerned about the reason or the politics, it is the result that counts. The result in all these machinations was disastrous for conservatives. We ended up with bad policies and poor leadership which replaced good policy and strong leadership. To me the new Liberals are not worth p…ing on. There is a move to correct the failures but it is slow and not guaranteed. The stupidity of seeing One Nation as a threat rather than an ally is typical and counterproductive.
10
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull was of course the leader at the time Snowy 2.0 Project was announced but the decision would have been discussed in Cabinet and based on advice, not a whim, and the CEO of wholly government owned Snowy Hydro Limited has commented that responsibility for the project is with Snowy Hydro and advice to the Federal Government to obtain funding support, Snowy Hydro Limited is part of the Minister for Energy portfolio.
This link explains;
https://www.snowyhydro.com.au/snowy-20/documents/
40
Whoever was responsible for the SH2 disaster, and it has to include Turnbull, they need to be held to account.
150
Clearly Turnbull was responsible for the start but also Snowy Hydro Limited because they submitted the proposal and gave the Turnbull Government their capital expenditure application and supporting documents. With due regard for Turnbull’s interest in the transition to renewable energy is it a surprise that he backed the proposal?
Then consider the Timeline from the 2019 when tunnelling commenced, an access tunnel completed after Albanese Labor was elected to government in May 2022. And thereafter construction under Albanese Cabinet oversight.
One of many Albanese Government decisionsthat intrigues me, consider Victoria missing $15 billion on public works projects, and other examples of project costs well exceeding original estimates, was the closure for the second time by a Labor Government of the ABCC – Australian Building Construction Commission, the government watchdog department that the union movement did not like.
80
Nothing short of a Royal Commission will suffice.
24
They have had years to obfuscate, cover their tracks.
Malcolm Turnbull’s $444million theft was covered up with documents, after the money had left the building. To ‘save’ the Great Barrier Reef. With no actual idea even after a week of what they were going to do with the cash. The woman in charge said they had calculated the ‘cost of administration was $134Million’. Six people. $134 million.
No, Albanese has beenb spending like a drunken sailor. Why did the country spend $1Billion on shares in a failing speculative Californian Quantum Computing company? Where’s the return?
Or Forrest’s $1Billion water piple line from the Fitzroy River to Gladstone, just finished in time for Forrest to walk away. Where’s the payback on that pile of gold?
It’s endless. Pink batts. …
And the job of the exploding work at home crowd in Canberra is to create a smokescreen of meetings and deliberations and cost justification. And with Snowy II they have had seven years to do it.
160
No, TdeF, you are insulting drunken sailors. Most stop spending when their money runs out.
Albo is a believer, like Sir Stafford Cripps, who believed that the public would accept endless taxation, up to 98% highest bracket. That lead to many Historic Homes being donated to The State, who then had to keep them up.
( Sir R. Stafford Cripps, nephew of Beatrice Webb, was a British Labour Party politician, barrister, and diplomat. A wealthy lawyer by background, He became a leading spokesman for the left wing and for co-operation in a Popular Front with Communists before 1939. )
70
Wasn’t it Peter Garrett who let that cat out of the bag?
40
During the second half 1970s the Wran QC Labor Government of New South Wales was elected, they created a new media management department funded by taxpayers that replaced the press or media qualified secretaries attached the each portfolio office Cabinet Minister staff. The department was very well equipped to monitor media constantly and brief ministers on anything they needed to answer, including spin creative responses. The media people even wrote press releases that made it easy for journalists to copy and hand in to their editors, and therefore the government positions highlighted and/or negativity towards political opponents. The media department system is now entrenched. First adopted by Prime Minister Hawke from 1983, the present Prime Minister Albanese has a large group of media advisers in the Office of Prime Minister & Cabinet.
Your comment about the hard right does not exist is of course accurate, in Australia there are no Members of Parliament that I am aware of, but there are hard left and they are Greens and Labor … example;
After finishing school, Albanese worked briefly at the Commonwealth Bank before enrolling in an economics degree at the University of Sydney. There, he became involved in student politics and was elected to the Students’ Representative Council (SRC). He stood unsuccessfully for the SRC presidency in 1983, losing to Belinda Neal. It was also there where he started his rise as a key player in the ALP’s Labor Left. During his time in student politics, Albanese led a group within Young Labor that was aligned with the left faction’s “Hard Left”, which the Australian politician Andrew Leigh said maintained “links with broader left-wing groups, such as the Communist Party of Australia, People for Nuclear Disarmament and the African National Congress”. Often pointed out is that he since student activist period has been a follower of the late Russian revolutionary Marxist Leon Trotsky, and there are fellow travellers in the Albanese Government as the far-left factions now dominate the more sensible centre-left factions.
Last night on Sky a security analyst guest described the treatment of President Trump by the Australian Government as deliberate distancing, while not prepared to severe the relationship between United States of America and Commonwealth of Australia. This political tactic is completely different to past Labor governments dominated by centre-left.
110
Our foreign policy is set by Mr Wong, not Albanese. And she is in China at present bargaining for jet fuel. What is she trading? We are not told.
170
Yes, another example of Union controlled ALP and factions, MPs appointed based on numbers and connections.
80
The American system is better. Donald Trump would never have succeeded under our system. You get total control by insiders as with Abbott and Deeming and the Black Hand.

A brilliant summation, TdeF.

Sill amazed that Donald Trump is a historical political paradigm shifter.
When in reality his policies mimic the 1990s Democratic Party.
The near total substance of this great paradigm shift is the hysterical reaction to Donald Trump by the managerial intelligentsia of the Western World.*
Simply demonstrating the intellectual and functional decline of the managerial intelligentsia.
And they still can’t get a clue.
*(If they hadn’t been so weirdly obsessed with him, he probably wouldn’t have been elected. The first or the second time.)
130
Honk,
Trump was elected because he was rarely not a career politician but a business man.
Here in Australia we have Messrs Albanese, Bowen and Wong who are far from familiar with business.
Business is the driver of Australian high living standards.
One of the biggest problems for business people is never-ending interference by politicians, especially those on a private mission, which is most of them.
The current standard of politicians is the lowest I have seen in my 85 years. By a long way.
I smell a nasty uprising coming in the next few years.
People have had enough of theft from their incomes.

I have pointed out in past comments that businessman Trump opposed the United Nations interference in the affairs of member nations from at least 1975 when the UN Lima Protocol (non-binding) was signed effectively to transfer the wealth of developed countries from manufacturing industry to developing countries, example China. And for trade agreements and removal of trade barriers (tariffs-customs duty) to open developed country markets to imported goods.
Make America Great Again is based on reversing the losses, restoring economic prosperity and with due consideration for technology advancements and other factors of labour costs.

‘I smell a nasty uprising coming in the next few years.’
Very doubtful, if we get the MSM on side we’ll throw the socialists out of power.
There is a revolution coming to Moscow within a year, autocracies are prone to it, while democracies can relieve the pressure through elections.

“far from familiar with business.”
That’s far too kind. They could care less. Most are communists. Albanese is a lifelong Trot. Adam Bandt’s hero is Lenin. His PhD in Melbourne was on communists on the waterfront in Melbourne. He couldn’t wait to get elected somewhere and the Greens were his ticket. All the Greens are communists. As on the Berlin Wall, socialist is what totalitarians call themselves.
Milleband, the UK equivalent of Bowen, buried his father so that he could see Karl Marx’s grave.
These people worship communism. They just lie. And Mr Wong is off doing deals in China with Xi. Like Daniel Andrews. Keating hates both the British and the Americans. “Keating served on the International Advisory Council of the China Development Bank for 13 years” Of course.

And as I have been pointing out the beginning was the Fabian Society of Marxists established in England late 1800s, and rising and falling politically ever since, associates elsewhere, here the Australian Fabian Society with ALP membership.

Remember Wall Street in NYC?
They made movies.
Now NYC has driven it away.
The same nasty conflict you smell is in the air in the US.
Trump is a temporary, due to the unfortunate tendency of human life span, bump in the road.
Not to mention the tendency of the Champions of Diversity to terminate those they deem morally unsuitable for inclusion into The Rainbow of Diversity.
BTW, SCOTUS just dropped a new turmoil (a good one maybe) into the already boiling cauldron.
Concerning race based Gerrymandering.
The Dems are gonna be big mad now.
Considering the manufacture of racial/cultural conflict is the foundation of progressive power politics.
50
I am glad you mentioned the Gerrymander case in the US. I have said for decades now that the communists never died in 1989, they just changed their clothes and became environmentalists. One of our most recognised broadcasters, John Laws, called the Greens watermelons; green on the outside and red on the inside. Never truer words spoken. I am amazed that conservative politicians do not call out the socialists for what they are because many of our immigrants come from countries that were once, or still are, under communist control. Socialists are communists but don’t like to be called so because they know that communism is a dirty word to so many. Socialism sounds so much nicer even though the result is exactly the same.
20
TRUMP’s illegal immigrant policy is indistinguishable from that propounded in Clinton’s State of the Union Address to Congress in 1995.

The reality is that the people supporting a so called “climate movement” are simply anti-western activists. They support every action that weakens the west, divides society and brings it closer to collapse. The real unstated aim is to replace the Judeo-Christian, capitalist, western democratic system with Marxism. It’s why no climate protesters will ever be seen outside a Chinese embassy, because communism is seen as the preferred system and they won’t offend their ideological masters. It’s why they support Islamic immigration and extreme Islam, because they see this as a weapon against our incumbent Judeo-Chrisian establishment. It’s why they push identity politics and extreme gender ideology, because social cohesion and the family unit help hold our current system together. It’s why they push for treaties with native occupants and promote stolen land ideology, discredit the military and denounce national days of celebration. When our Anzac Day dawn service is started with a welcome to country, you know they are winning, because the message being sent is that all our diggers died in vein, defending a land of which they had no right of claim.

Their ABC Australia recently interviewed former UN Official Christiana Figureres and allowed her to heavily criticise Australia for not dealing with, in her opinion , climate change and related duty of care to Pacific Island nations.
Remember her address to delegates before the 2015 Paris Conference, and admission that the main objective of climate change politics is to destroy the capitalist (socialist description of free enterprise) system?
130
She also claimed that we have a moral duty to pay damages to Pacific islands for colonisation. This is an great example of how false narratives get propagated as truths to help promote their deplorable ideology. Australia hasn’t colonised a single island nation. On the contrary, we pay them aid money, provide seasonal jobs and promote tourism to help boost their economies, but don’t let the truth get in the way of a good false narrative.

I think, like nearly always, you have to follow the money.
The climate blob is big business just the same as any protest movement or organisation. David M (#3) mentioned Greenpeace. But there are so many other organisations that rely on “protest” to make a living. It’s a business model employing thousands of people with some employees on huge salaries. But worse, you then have a lot of government employees whose job is to part of that protest movement.
Undoubtedly what DJT and the new US administration has done is remove a lot of that government funding via NGO’s and the DOGE process. The funds are drying up and you cant rely on Bill Citizen to part with his hard earned cash to provide donations. You need big easy money and we all know where that comes from. Dumb governments spending someone else’s money.

Dr Hans Rosling explained our accurate global health and wealth data since the start of the Industrial Revolution and it takes less than 5 minutes of our time.
This would take B O Bowen less than 5 minutes to understand the data from 1810 to 2010 and yet he is happy to continue to preach his silly W & S nonsense plus destroy our environments and wreck our electricity grid.

“Claim: Only Conservatives who Don’t Like Liberals Oppose Climate Action”
https://wattsupwiththat.com/2026/04/29/claim-conservatives-oppose-climate-action-because-they-dont-like-liberals/

The Liberal Party of Australia, founded by Robert Menzies in 1944, aimed to provide a conservative alternative to the Labor Party, focusing on individual freedom and limited government intervention. In contrast, the term “liberal” can refer to various political ideologies worldwide, often emphasizing social equality and progressive policies, which may differ significantly from the Australian Liberal Party’s conservative stance.
60
Dennis, while your loyalty to the Liberal Party is admirable, whether you are a member or not, it is not helpful to the conservative cause because the Liberal Party is not a conservative party and hasn’t been for decades.
They are just a slightly less bad version of Labor.
They are not even capable of definitively stating, as TRUMP did, that they will abandon the Paris Agreement and that the idea of catastrophic anthropogenic global warming is a huge economy-destroying scam.
They seem to want Labor to remain in power. They don’t fight for anything and don’t believe in anything. People see that which is why they are never likely to win another election and conservatives are deserting them and supporting One Nation.
The people of Sicktoria should brace themselves for another huge Liberal loss in November. Hopefully One Nation will pick up their lost seats and even some Labor seats.

David, the propaganda that I attempt to counter is so obviously misguided, or deliberate, I prefer to believe misguided.
For example the COVID-19 pandemic January 2020 start, Constitutional laws provide for primary responsibility for public health, hospitals, decision of hotel quarantine detention, interstate border closures, state police enforcement of Emergency Powers legislated in State Parliaments, and so on. Commonwealth, Federal Government have roles to play including reponsibility for national borders (sovereign borders) including Border Force, Customs, Immigration departments, Federal Police.
I remember replying to many attacks on Prime Minister Scott Morrison here and elsewhere when commentators adamantly blamed Morrison Government for what State Governments were responsible for carrying out. He created the National Leaders Cabinet from Council Of Australian Governments to try and gain cooperation and coordination between Premiers and the State Governments and was criticised for not controlling them, but the power to that as the Attorney General at that time pointed out would be difficult to enforce and would risk major Federal-State relations problems, and probably High Court challenges.
My point being that Federation of States 1900 formed Commonwealth of Australia and Commonwealth Government, and Constitution. States have most powers and responsibility for internal governance.
Labor have factions from far left to centre left, and Greens support (also Teals now) and controlled and donated to by the Union Movement.
Liberal Party and National Party are quite different in structure and without ignoring the new LINO left influence the original conservatives remain and now strengthening their hold.
As commentators are pointing out the beneficiary of the conservative factions/parties breaking ranks is the ALP and Greens and Teals.
23
I am well aware of the 29 years history of PHON, and I am aware of the people behind the scenes who have turned to PHON, I suspect, in frustration of how the LINO left have influenced mostly the Liberals and to a much lesser extent the Nationals.
In my opinion they are following the paths of Australian Democrats, Palmer Party, Katter Party and even the Bjelke Peterson Queensland short rebellion period, and beneficiaries every time ALP.
I doubt that PHON can rival the seat numbers of Coalition now 70, was 71 at the 2025 election when Joyce MP was elected again as a National, from today only 5, and only 1 House of Representatives.
They are focused on Senate seats because they are 6 year terms and no electorate constituents responsibilities, Senate being State representative in Canberra.
However, I am not opposed to PHON, I am concerned that Labor will not be defeated.

Sometime in the last week I saw a 15 min talk, saying that “Save Nature” will replace “Climate Change” as the new talisman, to be carried aloft, to justify plundering the West. I cant find the talk, but the words in this piece – “ecological concern will drive…..” reminded me of what I had heard. The whole tenor of the activists wanting to untangle themselves from the whole leftist baggage train, points to them focusing on conservation, ie Nature. Here we go….

Here’s the calories per person for the world and continents from 1961 to 2023 and shows a steady increase over the last 62 years.
But population was just 3 billion in 1961 and 8.2 billion today and yet everyone enjoys a much higher calorie intake today.
So what’s the problem with our climate today and why can we feed another 5 billion extra people?

60
‘ … why can we feed another 5 billion extra people?’
Petroleum-based fertilizers.
52
It’s way more than Petroleum-based fertilizers Mr Gordo.
High tech plant breeding, bio-control of pests integrated with new age pesticides and zero tillage farming have played a major role in lifting crop yields. Numerous other advances horticulture and agriculture such as micronutrient formulations have played a role. Increased CO2 may well have reduced the need for as much Petroleum-based fertilizer.
40
Better agronomic and economic management, bigger more efficient machinery, easier access to finance. The list goes on.

“Y2Kyoto: “The high end scenarios are Implausible.” ”
“Roger Pielke;
The international committee responsible for the official scenarios that feed into climate modeling that are the basis for most projective climate research and the assessments of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has just published the next generation of climate scenarios.
Big news: The new framework has eliminated the most extreme scenarios that have dominated climate research over much of the past several decades — specifically, RCP8.5, SSP5-8.5, and SSP3-7.0. This is an absolutely huge development in climate science which will have lasting impacts across research and policy.
The future is not what it used to be.
Gore Effect! The ultimate authority on all questions involving life on earth, Al Gore, is now declaring that global warming is out, and global freezing is in.”

No, both are in. Global warming and a new ice age. In ten years apparently.
130
‘ …. a new ice age. In ten years apparently.’
That would be the collapse of the AMOC caused by blocking high pressure and meandering jet stream.
25
This is the Gulf Stream stopping nonsense. The currents have nothing to do with the tiny thin atmosphere. The Gulf Steam is not ‘wind driven’. Try pushing deep water with a hair dryer.
The ocean on average is 350x as heavy as the air. And on a spinning planet the water spins in gyres. The temperature of the thin air has nothing to do with it. The Gulf Stream is 2,000km river of hot water 100km wide and 1km deep travelling at an amazing 9km/hr. It heats the entire West coast of Europe. And somehow CO2 affects that? That’s some kind of weed.

Dr Pielke jr has just announced that RCP 8.5 is officially DEAD and now it remains to be seen what’s left after tens of thousands of climate studies will have to be dumped.
Here’s a sort of summary at the end of his latest Substack entry……
“National climate impact assessments in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Australia, Japan, and the Netherlands all use RCP8.5 or SSP5-8.5 as a reference scenario. The Network for Greening the Financial System framework, used by more than 140 central banks, has utilized a “Hot House World” scenario calibrated to RCP8.5 physical risk into the bank stress tests run by the European Central Bank, the Bank of England, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, the Banque de France, and the US Federal Reserve. The World Bank’s Climate Change Knowledge Portal, which provides the climate diagnostics that feed into the Country Climate and Development Reports for more than 100 client countries, defaults to SSP5-8.5 and SSP3-7.0”.
“The abandonment of the high-end legacy scenarios by CMIP7 will need to propagate through this entire infrastructure. The policy machinery built on RCP8.5 and the other implausible scenarios is systemic”.

Sri Lanka just paid 286 Dollars U.S.for a barrel of oil.
30
They should have bought more than one. It’s cheaper in bulk.
130
They should have shopped around. Even at current high prices, that’s ridiculous.
That’s the sort of non-deal I’d expect an Australian Government politician like Albo to make, and maybe he did, we’ll never know.
130
Margaret Thatcher famously said, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.” This quote highlights her criticism of socialist policies and their reliance on taxpayer funding.

Apparently, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) in Sri Lanka has refuted reports that they paid $286 per barrel for their crude oil imports, describing such reports as misinformation.
