CNN director brags: “We got Trump out” … the next thing is Climate change

Project Veritas do great work, catching candid admissions in private of the real power games and corruption going on.

“Look what we did. We [CNN] got Trump out”

CNN Technical Director Charlie Chester, admits on tape, in a private discussion that what they do is propaganda, and he 100% believes if it weren’t for CNN, “I don’t know that Trump would have got voted out”. “I really don’t think so”.

He was focused on getting Trump out of office, it wasn’t just a political leaning, it was his raison d’etre: “I came to CNN because I wanted to be a part of that. “

So CNN is the place political lobbyists go to get paid to push election outcomes towards the President they personally want.

Climate change is coming next. “It’s going to be the next Covid.   They’ll be able to milk that for quite a bit.”

UPDATE: Twitter sees their competition exposed, and a way for Twitter to put itself at the center of the global news debate, … and ..O… immediately cancels and bans Project Veritas. Protecting CNN and or Biden is more important than growing its own audience?

Clearly Twitter is a political machine with similar goals to CNN. They all benefit from Big-Government. None of them serve their audiences, and they don’t want the audience to know that. Evidently they have other masters…

James O’Keefe, the founder of the investigative journalism organization Project Veritas, has been permanently blacklisted by Twitter, just as his organization releases bombshell undercover footage showing senior CNN employees admitting to using “propaganda.” @Project_Veritas, the organization’s official account, has also been suspended.

In a comment to Breitbart News, a Twitter spokeswoman said the suspension was permanent. This comes directly after O’Keefe and Project Veritas publicly embarrassed the far-left news network CNN.

In a statement, O’Keefe vowed to sue Twitter: “I am suing Twitter for defamation because they said I, James O’Keefe, ‘operated fake accounts. This is false, this is defamatory, and they will pay. Section 230 may have protected them before, but it will not protect them from me. The complaint will be filed Monday.”

Power, Profit and Ideology all point in the same direction. Convenient, eh?

For anyone who has watched the deterioration of CNN over the decades from a legitimate news organization to a public relations arm of the Democratic Party, this isn’t surprising.

They aren’t alone. The objectivity that was prevalent 50-60 years ago in the MSM has gone poof.

Ditto here in Australia, with our national broadcaster, the ABC.

The Australian ABC are shameless in their promotion of left-wing issues, yet are most disparaging and downright hateful of any suggestion of Australian nationalism or other conservative ideas and policies.

I doubt there ever was objectivity, but it used to be these giant media companies were the only source available, and they knew it, and they enjoyed it.

What they hate are alternative points of view … as more direct sources of information have become available their lack of objectivity has slowly but surely been revealed.

Read up about Ted Turner … he was never a nice guy … wanted to impose a one child policy on the world for 100 years, but then went and had five children to several wives. The guy has spent his live being untrustworthy and made millions out of misleading people. Don’t tell me there ever was a time when CNN was objective.

Close but no cigar. Trump wasn’t voted out.

According to many sources, including videos showing vote tallying misfeasance, videos of real-time TV showing Trump’s landslide vote tally in swing states going backward on election night and books written after the fact detailing all of the above, it is clear that Biden did not win the election legally.

Joe Biden was installed based on the hundreds of thousands of trucked-in Biden votes delivered to the swing state electoral offices overnight after the unprecedented early closure of vote counting in those states.

Lo and behold, next morning, Joe Biden has won the election.

Fully agree GD, CNN was and is a factor in the voter fraud machine but to come out and claim to have that much influence and power over who gets to be President is just arrogance dialed to eleven, I find these self appointed puppet masters to be closely aligned with bureaucrats that infest departments that never do anything but screw with lives and never leave.

I was in the US on election night in 2016. Not only was the early coverage on CNN clearly favouring HRC, but the majority of the news media reporting the election seemed certain of her victory. The mood started swinging about 8:00pm. Then we noticed something strange. All the US media updates being broadcast started to slow down.

Our daughter back in Oz was telling us numbers that were not being shown to the US public, despite their numerous “live” tally rooms. Not sure what was happening in the background, but the counting was done that evening, and Trump was clearly the winner, much to the shock of the majority of talking heads in the media

The DNC learnt its lesson. That’s why counting was shut down early in 2020. What a bizzare process to watch an election being rigged in real time.

GA, try using media sources other than ABC, CNN, and ‘our’ ABC. You might learn something.

btw, the book I linked to was written by a never-Trumper.

Patrick Byrne is a libertarian who did not vote for Trump and has publicly criticized him: that said, he believes Election 2020 was rigged, and that should be objectionable to every person who believes, “just government derives its power from the consent of the governed.” In this book he explains what caused him in August 2020 to study election fraud, and what really happened during the 2020 election.

Biden’s vote improved dramatically as mail-in ballots were counted. The Democrats had promoted the use of mail-in by its supporters, while Trump inexplicably discouraged it. It is not the Democrats’ fault that so many states prohibited the counting of mail and early ballots prior to the close of voting on 3 Nov.

Team Trump new full-well that (a) Biden was critically ahead in all the swing state polls, (b) mail-in and other late-counted ballots were going to favour Biden really heavily, and (c) their only strategy was to claim (absurdly) that only the votes counted on 3 November should be allowed.

The vote tallies on the night (even with some reversals and amendments / corrections) merely reflect our ballots are counted, packed up in big bundles, and shipped to the central counting room, and then reported to waiting media.

Vast conspiracy theories about the election being stolen are … just that. There is no credible evidence that it was rigged, in real time or otherwise. Vote counting was not “shut down” by Democrats – in almost all states there was Republican management of the election processes.

I flicked between CNN and Fox News for the whole process (here in Australia) – both stations explained quite clearly what was happening with the numbers in all the states, in real time.

And here is another woderful piece of Fake News, this time from the Washington Post:

Washington Post Gave Trump ‘Four Pinocchios’ When He Questioned ‘Russia Bounties’ Story

Last July, the New York Times reported that U.S. intelligence “concluded that a Russian military intelligence unit secretly offered bounties to Taliban-linked militants for killing coalition forces in Afghanistan — including targeting American troops.” The story also claimed that the intelligence was “briefed to President Trump,” and that he had not done anything about it. The implication was that Trump did not want to hold Russia accountable, echoing “Russia collusion” claims.

However, Trump claimed that the story was a “hoax,” in that he had not been briefed about it.

Nevertheless, the claim that Trump had ignored Russian bounties on U.S. troops became a staple of Democratic attacks. Joe Biden mentioned it in his town hall with ABC News.

Washington Post fact-checker Salvador Rizzo gave Trump “four Pinocchios” for his denial — the most severe negative rating.

But on Thursday, the Biden administration announced that U.S. intelligence only had “low to moderate” confidence in the story after all. Translated from the jargon of spyworld, that means the intelligence agencies have found the story is, at best, unproven—and possibly untrue.

White House Press Secretary Jennifer Psaki declined Thursday to say whether Biden had been wrong to criticize Trump over the issue.

The Post has not yet updated its rating.

“So CNN killed the golden goose”

True, but ideology has long trumped (pun intended) ratings at CNN. Of the three major US/Cable news organizations, CNN, MSNBC and Fox, even with the “Trump” boost, CNN was always in last place in terms of ratings, and MSNBC was not much better though unlike CNN, MSNBC didn’t pretend to be an unbiased news organization.

True, but ideology has long trumped (pun intended) ratings at CNN.

I don’t think it was ideology “trumping” ratings at all. CNN is a business, and they shape their programming to try and maximise their market and their income. There are a lot of people out there who want their political news to be skewed centre-left – just like there is a solid market for Fox News skewed towards starboard.

The major broadcast networks are trying to maximise audiences from everywhere of course – big cities, the burbs, regional towns, and out in the sticks – so they all tend to gravitate to the broad centre.

These people are now so brazen that they feel comfortable coming out and saying what we all know. MSM has been a cesspit of lies, distortions and selective silence for many years now and to have a CNN director actually come out and proudly announce themselves as a disseminater of propaganda for their political masters is an indication that they consider victory is now assured, with conservatism defeated and a clear path for a Marxist takeover.

A further indication that we should now be very worried is the intention to stack the surpreme court with Marxist puppets to capture full control of the constitution and ensure that the takeover is complete. If this happens it will be possible to officially ban conservatism and we can already see this happening within the armed forces, which indicates the very real intention to execute a military style coup within this term of government. This might sound like crazy conspiracy, but consider how the riots are being encouraged by the Democrats, with a very obvious intention to create enormous civil unrest by dividing the community along racial lines and with the continuous propaganda blaming the GOP and conservatives. Once the civil unrest is out of control then you have the power to hit the reset button and send in the armed forces. This is exactly the game being played out today. It’s also why they want to remove (de-fund) the police, as this helps create more civil unrest. Forget China, this is the real war being played out in front of our very eyes and most people can’t see past the lies and spin being sprayed from the back of the left wing media’s manure trucks.

All these exposes tell you that the US election was clearly rigged. With this Veritas tape and the Time Magazine article there are clear admissions that there was a coordinated approach to rig the election . The question of whether there was fraud as well is not as certain but there was a clear approach to manipulate circumstances such that investigation of the possibility of fraud was to be avoided at all cost. One thing is certain is that the level of Trump Derangement Sympton suffered by his critics is so severe that it is clear they would have had no hesitation in committing fraud if that’s what was needed.
Unfortunately even though Trump had rightly assumed these rigged circumstances were inevitable he didn’t even have the support of his own party or the Supreme Court to help. The US system has been too corrupted and the anti Trump elitists have too much power.
It is so obvious from the actions being taken since the election to legalise voter fraud opportunities, to get rid of the filibuster and to pack the Supreme Court are the actions. not of a party confident that it’s policies and actions are popular and have been given a clear mandate by the people but of a party that knows that it’s policies and actions are so unpopular that there is no hope of retaining power legitimately.
Everything that has taken place since the election merely confirms that the election process that got rid of Trump was not kosher.

I agree entirely – except it’s for the Republican Party and not the Democratic Party. The Republicans have never relied on the popular vote – because they know their pro-business and anti-working family policies have no popular support out in the burbs. They rely on other stuff (wink, wink).

Yeah, the notion that Republicans are the party of big business is laughable in this day and age.

It was true prior to the 1990s, but Bill Clinton’s triangulation strategy really put an end to Republican dominance in the board-room. Democrats DOMINATE donations from the two biggest private industries in America (Tech and Finance), and have an absolute monopoly on donations from public institutions. Clinton and Biden both outspent 2 to 1 on the campaign trail in 2016/2020, and Biden tripled Trump up in terms of dark money.

        Huh?

The Republicans have done very well with suburban voters since the 1980s. The definitely took a hit in 2018 due to yoga/soccer moms hating Trump, but gained back a lot of those votes in 2020 as Republicans whittled down the Democrats 2018 gains in the House. There was a lot of ticket splitting (some might even say a suspicious amount) going on where otherwise Republican voters chose Biden at the top spot, but all and all, 2020 was a pretty good year for Republicans in the suburbs.

It is becoming so clear that governments are becoming determined to implement climate alarmist agendas , committing to cut emissions without any intention of actually doing anything substantial. The consequences of having a large proportion of your grid relying on renewables means that costs go up and the grid becomes more unreliable. So countries cheat, They either use fossil fuel as back up, they count the emissions selectively, they import energy from neighbours who are using coal . If you look at the Chinese they just pump out emmissions as fast as ever and sell renewable equipment to the rest of the world.
What is bizarre is that the climate zealots all seem unconcerned by Chinas actions even though their increased emissions negate all the efforts done by the rest of the world.
When the EU , Australia and anywhere else that is stupidly trying to adhere to their promised emissions target legislate to make electric cars more prominent then a bad situation will just get worse.I hate to think what the impact of recharging a National fleet of cars will do to a grid already weakened by the closure of much of the baseload capacity.

This is just nuts, and to be honest I’m getting a bit tired of hearing such hyperbolic nonsense.

There is no way CNN is a “far-left network” – it is a mainstream American capitalist corporate business – get it? It has to attract a large audience consistently in order to be able to charge advertisers a hefty rate. That is what a media business does.

It has positioned itself as just slightly left-of-centre and has captured a really large market out there. A lot of middle-class punters did not like Trump.

I would argue that the NYT and WaPo are broadly in the same market. But guess what – they are still very very conservative media businesses – relying on the broad centre-left, and not upsetting the capitalist apple cart one bit.

To call CNN far left is insane … it’s angling for a $$$ market, that’s all.

Trump was never going to win – all the polls showed Biden had it in the bag – narrowly, but still in front – and that is what happened. No thieving was required, the voters decided.

Trump could never get above about 45% of the electorate – and that was never going to be enough. What about this reality is so hard to understand? Thieving was not required.

Might need an audience for that

    As Chiefio puts it

“So look at CNN. Once the media news property. Now has an audience less than mid-scale pod-casts (and far smaller than the more popular ones). Look at the NY Times. Once the authority on what was news. Now a bit of a laughing stock with cratering readership. Right on down the line. Emmys (or was it Oscars? Or both?) from incredible fan fare and importance to “What, they still do that?”. NFL / MLB from Must Watch to Why Watch? Disney from icon of Americana to dreck and flushing Star Wars plans and expansion plans.

Oh Well. Not my problem. I’ve “moved on” to other sources. For the Woke-O-sphere it really is a case of “Self inflicted beatings will continue until thinking improves”… “

    Also relative to that

    https://wattsupwiththat.com/2021/04/15/media-finally-notices-that-the-rcp-8-5-climate-model-is-over-hyped-science-fiction/

    And this comment there

“The nickname for the RCP 8.5 climate model should be the Madoff Model.

I’m struck by the similarities of the Madoff case with climate scare models.

From the recent Madoff case summary story on April 14th WSJ:

    1) Madoff, one-time chairman of the Nasdaq market (authority figure)
    2) Madoff exuded respectability and cut an aristocratic figure( name you climate BT Barnum)
    3) He was famously secretive about his methods, adding to the allure (M. Mann)
    4) Madoff falsely claimed to beat the market with his “split-strike conversion strategy (cutting edge climate model)
    5) Inside the Madoff offices on the 17th floor of the Lipstick Building, only a few trusted employees had access with a keycard. The phony trades were conducted giving higher returns to favored clients (climate data manipulation to fit the message)
    6) Madoff didn’t go unsuspected. A 2001 Barron’s article focused on the improbability of his returns. (WUWT)
    7) Madoff insisted that his trading operation remain a black box, rebuffed requests from institutional investors to visit his operations or explain them (that Mann again)
    8) The SEC’s failure to discover Madoff’s fraud revealed it, in the minds of many, as an ineffectual guardian of the markets. (name your failed agency or professional society)
    9) Only the pressure from the financial crisis brought Madoff down, as his fund was overwhelmed with redemption requests when people lost money elsewhere (sadly, the climate does not move that fast so the great con game continues)

Why are you posting all this bizarre Madoff stuff .. where is the relevance? Enquiring minds would like to know.

IIRC in an earlier thread you announced that “you never read anything at WUWT”

So did you read that or did you “”hit us with a bit of truth serum earlier?

      And in comments further down

“I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for a mea culpa report by Pravda (a/k/a The New York Times) or the Washington Post or NBC or the Los Angeles Times or NPR or MSNBC or CNN or PBS’ News Hour or ABC or CBS or the Associated Press (Seth Borenstein).

They are biased, partisan and conscious and intentional distributors of disinformation. This will not come as a surprise to readers of WUWT..

What is surprising is that a number of them have publicly admitted as much (an amazing number are supposedly reputable).

There is a list of print and broadcast news organizations who have signed a public agreement to disseminate propaganda. If you don’t believe me, see:

      https://coveringclimatenow.org/the-press-and-the-climate-emergency/

      https://coveringclimatenow.org/partners/partner-list/

      And

“t’s not just list of orghanisations signed up which is interesting. So also is the list of organisations funding them:
Covering Climate Now has been made possible by generous grants from [email protected], David and Lucile Packard Foundation, Michaux Family Foundation, Park Foundation, Rockefeller Family & Associates, Schumann Media Center and Wayne Crookes. The fiscal sponsor for Covering Climate Now is the DC-based 501c3, The Fund for Constitutional Government. “

Mute a leftwing activist outlet everyday from aggregators. It isn’t enough to just change aggregation sources. The public needs to call out the propaganda and spell out to the aggregators that their feeds are using character assassination and propaganda cultists. Keeping muting sites until you have no unbiased options then cancel the aggregator and call them out. Conservatives need to fight cancel culture and cult propaganda on its terms, because the next couple of months are the prelude to the WEF climate blitz where the trashmedia will blanket cover the world with propaganda and the actual facts of the climate from the last 12 months will be washed away.
The information wars are well under way and common sense is losing because we are allowing it!

Would be interesting to find out just how much of the “public” is really tuned in to MSM. I’m thinking that, despite the many ways that MSM can invade our lives, the overall % of the public that doesn’t worry about MSM being a big factor is no different to 50 years ago (before the internet etc etc etc). Yes, people are caught up with smartphones etc, but just what exactly are they using them for???
