Who needs a Ministry of Truth — only people protecting a Big Lie

The Poor Democrats won the election fair and square and only had peaceful rallies all year — but half the country doesn’t believe them. Even when the friendly Trillion-dollar Giant Media Cabal bans their political opponents, destroys Parler, and filters out mentions of voting irregularities  — that isn’t enough.

If only they could go on a Public Affairs TV show and politely explain why they are right?

Here’s a radical idea — how about holding a press conference to answer all the allegations, hand over the ballot machines, the ballots, and the check the signatures? It would all be so easy. Since they can’t do that, and they can’t think of any good reasons why they can’t do that, it’s time for A Reality Czar! Let the good hand of The Government Tell you what the Truth Is.

And who’s suggesting it? The Free Press….

The NY Times Wants Biden to Create a ‘Reality Czar’

Benjamin Gill and Steve Warren, CBN News

Kevin Roose, a technology columnist for The [New York] Times, writes, “Several experts I spoke with recommended that the Biden administration put together a cross-agency taskforce to tackle disinformation and domestic extremism, which would be led by something like a ‘reality czar’.”

That the New York Times doesn’t see this as competition says quite a lot about The New York Times. If a government commission researches and tells the world the whole truth, what exactly does the The New York Times do? Cut and paste the press releases?

A Harvard Uni professor on media policy calls for a “truth commission”:

One of those experts, Joan Donovan, the research director of Harvard University’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy, even implied that the new administration could set up a “truth commission,” similar to the 9/11 Commission, to investigate the planning and execution of the Capitol siege on Jan. 6.

Who needs a media? Who needs a professor, or for that matter, media research? Just ask the Government. What could possibly go wrong?

Normal people combat misinformation with information.

AOC has so few good answers she needs a whole government ministry  instead:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) …  said in an Instagram video post Wednesday. “We’re going to have to figure out how we rein in our media environment so you can’t just spew disinformation and misinformation,” …

Because when the media silences and sacks people, cancels political opponents and won’t print the biggest two political scandals in fifty years — that’s not enough help to maintain the Big Lie?

By Joe Concha, The Hill

To review what we’ve witnessed since the horrific, repugnant, deadly siege on the Capitol last week:

(A) – The banning of President Trump on Twitter in perpetuity for the crime of announcing that he won’t attend the Biden inauguration. Reason: Through codebreaking not seen since the Brits in World War II, Twitter concluded that the president was actually sending a bat signal to supporters to attack the event since he won’t be there, which is a stretch.

(B) – Google, Apple and Amazon colluding – indirectly or otherwise – to crush Twitter competitor Parler out of existence after it became the most downloaded app in the Apple store on Jan 7. And in the process of doing so, sending an unambiguous message to anyone thinking of filling the Parler void: If you try to create a social media platform that is enticing to conservatives, we have the power to eliminate you through a three-step process. First, Amazon takes away cloud hosting services the way an engine is stripped from a car. Then Apple, through its App Store, and Google, through its app store, withhold the keys to entry to the platform.

The Democrats already have a Ministry of Truth:  Big Tech

The Daily Caller recently reported that at least 14 of Biden’s picks to join the administration or advise on the transition “have worked for Apple, Facebook, Twitter, Google or Amazon,” while adding that “his chief National Security Council spokesperson will be a former Twitter exec.”

Or perhaps Big Tech have their own Government?

You could scan the ballots thru another scanner. Should have the same results if the chain of custody of the ballots is not broken. Number of ballots should equal to the number of voters.

The whole idea of paper ballots is that you can repeat the counting.

The process that is used to scan for counterfeit notes can be used to find the the ballots made in China, or in other areas. This would not be hard to carry out. Also the postal votes that don’t have folds in them and the votes that were printed out at the counting centres.

Well, Gab.com exists and God willing, will provide a place for freedom of expression to exist.

All people need to do is dump facebook and twitter, and its all over for Big Tech.

Then, start offereing new operating systems for phones that are easy to install, and you remove google. Such things already exist.

The main thing to remember is Big Tech can be brought to heel by making them irrelevent by dumping them.

No audience = no influence. Job done.

We the average normal people have the ability to nullify Big Tech. We are way more powerful, and they know it and are scared silly by that reality.

Do you honestly need social media?

    Nope.

Social media is gossip on steroids. The big problem with it is it’s in print that means we don’t take it with the same pinch of salt as we would gossip.

An old trick is to start a rumour on two sides of a party. When the rumour reached the middle, it must be true because they heard it from someone else. The only way to correct the lie is open discussion.

I’ve already removed Google from my iPhone.
Try Qwant, it’s a European search engine, works well, uninvited advertising has almost disappeared, tracking your movements doesn’t happen. Have a go!! It’s available thru App Store.

Will the behemoths of Big Tech eventually shut down or absorb such alternatives?

Having ensured Biden would ‘win’ the election…they don’t have to worry now about any anti-Trust moves to break them up …not unless the balance of power in Congress changes in 2022 anyway.

They’re riding higher than ever before now…having profited enormously out of COVID.

Since Biden has brought key Big Tech players into the government fold…and because he’s beholden to his BigTech benefactors for the vital role they played …not only with donations…but in muzzling non-compliant media and shutting down inconvenient information that voters needed to have…will Biden now be required by them…. in a quid pro quo exercise…to isolate a pesky recalcitrant Australia completely from anything useful on the internet …in order to bring the Morrison government to heel?

I have never been on Twitter, Facebook or any other brain destroying social media and guess what? I have real friends who know my real name. Email for private and important stuff as well as entertainment. The only people who NEED social media are those who haven’t yet got a life.

Yes but I spend all my spare time setting up fake pics showing me living a wild life full of partying and having a blast of a time every day. I regard myself as an ‘influencer’ and claim to be a key person required to launch any new fashion or tech trend for which I charge huge fees.

Pity none of it is true.

I do use LinkedIn as it is handy for business contacts, but I am getting sick of the continual climate change stuff. Unfortunately I friended a fellow who insists on deluging with likes on anything related to climate change. Hes actually an agnostic on it and is happy to promote both sides, but this just fills up my feed…and makes me annoyed seeing the absolute rubbish that passes for postings from alarmists…

But apart from that I only use email and refuse to partake of any other social media. I too live in the real world interacting with real people.

Mis-information..dis-information. What should also be considered is lies by omission – a practice well used at our ABC. Why inform people about such and such item of public interest if it’s not in OUR interest. Manipulation of the stream is, of course what it is all about. Sanitised low-yield pap to feed the vacuous, moronic masses. C’est la vie.

      From the Comments

At last, after 9 months of riots and countless victims of those riots, AOC has finally found a riot victim she cares about, herself.

      330

    • #

It is easy enough to fact check this yourself though you will have to listen to her/read direct quotes

CLAIM: U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a Democrat from New York, falsely claimed she faced rioters in the main Capitol building during the Jan. 6 insurrection.

AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. Ocasio-Cortez never claimed she was in the main Capitol building, nor did she claim she was face-to-face with a mob of violent rioters. In an Instagram Live video about the riots, she explained that she was in her office in a neighboring building on the Capitol complex, where she experienced a frightening encounter with a Capitol police officer who she said didn’t announce himself.

The story and quotes I saw from AOC were certainly misleading – either intentionally or otherwise. She said that “insurgents” broke into the Capitol and that she was terrified. She went on to say that she was in her office when she heard something outside & was hiding in the bathroom when somebody burst in shouting “Where is she?”
At that time she didn’t reveal it was a security guard checking on her welfare nor did she mention that her office wasn’t in the Capitol. Her office location may well be known in the US, but I certainly assumed it was in the Capitol.

        190

“She said up front where she was.”

She said she was in her office, but the context of her preceding sentence insinuated that her office was in the capitol:

“She said that “insurgents” broke into the Capitol and that she was terrified. She went on to say that she was in her office ….” So she was deliberately misleading.
The same as when she mentioned the pounding on her door without providing the context AFAIK.

AOC Recalls How She Barely Survived Terrorists Seizing Nakatomi Plaza

WASHINGTON, D.C.—In a recent video, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recalled her harrowing experience at Nakatomi Plaza on the night terrorists stormed the building. She describes her near-death experience and what it was like trying to survive.

“I can tell you that I had a very close encounter where I thought I was going to die,” said AOC describing the events at Nakatomi Plaza. “Hans Gruber and his armed thugs took control of the building, and everyone was in a panic.”

The congresswoman said she was able to sneak away and hide behind a bathroom door for safety. “But suddenly a deranged, barefoot, and bloodied cop wearing a wifebeater came bursting into the bathroom,” AOC explained. “His presence just didn’t feel right to me. He had so much anger and hostility! He was carrying a gun on his back, and he wasn’t yelling like, ‘This is Nakatomi Police, this is Nakatomi Police.'”

“And like where was his partner?” she continued. “Nothing was adding up. I just know Ted Cruz was behind all of this and sent this man here to murder me and steal all of the bearer bonds.”

“Listen, Lady, I’m John McClane, but you gotta be quiet so I can get you out of here,” the cop said.

But before he could explain more, Hans Gruber heard her shouting, and John McClane was forced to turn himself in. Gruber grabbed AOC and held her hostage once again. “This is the end for me,” AOC thought to herself, but then McClane saved the day by ripping the gun off his back and killing the terrorist and wounding Gruber.

Ocasio-Cortez has called on the NYPD to be defunded based on McClane’s violent, aggressive behavior toward her.

    Duh.
I call this The International Year of Lying.
The spin and delusion has become so intense, that words are worth nothing.
The politicians may as well be going “Mmwa wah wah”.
Our “civil servants” look us right in the eye and lie.

Of course lying is a prerequisite for a Kleptocracy to operate.
As a Democracy decays into a Kleptocracy, where the fools and bandits legalize their corruption and theft,as “good government”.

Works until the victims realize who is ripping them off.
And as the money runs out, which we are observing in real time, the bandits turn on each other.

So the lying has reached a peak level, becoming a constant shrill whine.
Words from these fools and bandits mean nothing.
    Their actions however,speak volumes.

With the monsterous lies of the Dread Covid “Opportunity”,all I am willing to accept from the parasitic overload,is their resignations.
If their panicked butt covering continues to prolong this nonemergency medical emergency, while they stomp upon every civic freedom we thought we had..Then I will be seeking a rather more robust retribution.

Of course with the futures of our children’s children mortgaged into infinity, and the units of exchange inflated to negative values, the panic of our parasites is quite interesting..
What we cannot borrow our way to prosperity?

Is my belief the current, all out assault on the citizens human rights..those dating from the Magna Carta,is because the only wealth left to steal is locked up in private property.

The only way the parasites can see to continue living in the manner in which they feel entitled,is to declare holders of wealth to be terrorists or enemies of the State, imprison or execute these same citizens and confiscate their wealth..

Now you might claim that is a step too far,or a wild ass conspiracy theory..Except this has been done before, many times and always by people spewing the same Righteous Blather our Progressive Comrades are preaching today.

    And it always start with the biggest Lie of all;
“We are from the government and we are here to help you”
    Into slavery for our benefit.

The threats are great indeed. Which makes it all the more important to pick targets carefully.

Start with evidence. There are both real and fake threats. Fighting both will render skeptics impotent: working both for and against their freedom at the same time.

Fight for antivirals. Fight for Free Speech. Build new lines of communication. Be careful not to waste time fighting battles that help the virus, help the CCP and work against our freedom from lockdown.

Calm research, strategic thinking is more important than ever. Look at the data. Look at very detailed data. Understand the lags (in days and weeks). Understand there are 20 major variables (at least) and thousands of minor ones. Know hospitalization stats, long term debilitation, weekly test positivity, excess deaths on weekly and local scales. There are vested interests on both sides of the Covid debate. Resist the temptation pick a simple answer while ignoring most of the variables.

Tucker Carlson Warns: Bank Of America Turning Private Customer Info Over to the Feds After Jan. 6

On his show tonight, Tucker Carlson dropped some very troubling information that should concern us all.

Carlson explained that he’d obtained information on how Bank of America had turned over private customer data to the federal authorities on people who hadn’t been accused of any crime.

        As Carlson explained it:

“Tucker Carlson Tonight” has exclusively obtained evidence that Bank of America, the second-largest bank in the country with more than 60 million customers, is actively but secretly engaged in the hunt for extremists in cooperation with the government. Bank of America is, without the knowledge or the consent of its customers, sharing private information with federal law enforcement agencies. Bank of America effectively is acting as an intelligence agency, but they’re not telling you about it.

In the days after the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, Bank of America went through its own customers’ financial and transaction records. These were the private records of Americans who had committed no crime; people who, as far as we know, had absolutely nothing to do with what happened at the Capitol on Jan. 6. But at the request of federal investigators, Bank of America searched its databases looking for people who fit a specific profile.

Here’s what that profile was: “1. Customers confirmed as transacting, either through bank account debit card or credit card purchases in Washington, D.C. between 1/5 and 1/6. 2. Purchases made for Hotel/Airbnb RSVPs in DC, VA, and MD after 1/6. 3. Any purchase of weapons or at a weapons-related merchant between 1/7 and their upcoming suspected stay in D.C. area around Inauguration Day. 4. Airline related purchases since 1/6.”

This might be the law of unintended consequences again – it’s always the most frequent bill that’s passed in most parliaments.

Following 9/11, the PATRIOT Act (and a whole lot of other laws) were passed, in order to harden the capacity of the US to deal with terrorism – especially on home soil.

If the BoA story is correct, they the bank might be providing information according to the laws applicable to terrorists. While half the country might consider those who stormed the US Capitol to be freedom fighters, the other half sees them as domestic terrorists … and that half has the reins of power currently.

In the last act of desperation in PresidentTrump’s Impeachment…

Donald Trump has already advised the Senate that he will not voluntarily testify at his impeachment trial. This would seem to be his logical approach – otherwise he might well face the very serious dilemma of pleading the 5th Amendment, or committing perjury.

The Senate could vote to subpoena Trump, in which case he could be called as a “hostile witness” in his own defence. Not sure the Democrats would welcome the optics of that, and they might just milk the politics of his refusing to turn up on his own accord.

It’s all a bit theatrical – but everyone inside the beltway are just actors on a stage.

Speaking of Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), a funny thing happens to people who scream “you can’t just spew disinformation and misinformation”.

A little while after the inauguration, she tweeted a response to Senator Ted Cruz that Republicans “almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago”, referring to her fear during the January 6th invasion of the Capitol building:
    https://twitter.com/AOC/status/1354848253729234944

Turns out, she wasn’t even in the Capitol building at the time:
    https://saraacarter.com/aoc-was-not-in-the-u-s-capitol-building-during-jan-6-riot/

Given the importance of the day, it does make me wonder why she wasn’t in the House, dutifully voting, as she was required to be. It also makes me wonder whether all House members had been informed of the potential risk of riots on that day.

A simple check of members present on the day should reveal whether there were any unusual absences. If only certain Democrat members are revealed to have been absent, someone might ask an uncomfortable question.

Personally, I don’t believe that the Democrats would order the Capitol Police Force to stand back, and allow the general public to casually walk past barricades to enter one of the most recognised symbols of Democracy in the world.

All to stage an incident to allow the Democrats to rush through an impeachment process. Of course, those in the know, particularly about the planted pipe bombs and agent provocateurs who would be in the crowd, would ensure their own safety by making themselves absent. But I will leave speculation on this topic to conspiracy theorists.

I was a brainwashed anti-energy dupe in engineering college until I picked a fight with Jerry Pournelle and read B.L. Cohen’s The Disposal of Radioactive Wastes from Fission Reactors. 1984 is the definitive blue-print for society/politics/media that today’s forces for evil seem to be implementing.

There’s all manner of other stuff you could draw similarities from, between fiction and the way things are/are going, mainly because it isn’t entirely made up out of thin air – the people writing it are drawing on the visions for UN socialist global governance and other real figures and happenings.

I could ramble on for hours on this particular subject, first hand experience and all.

Yes; the justice system requires the defendant to have the money to defend himself, else he’s got no defenses against an unjust police officer, an unjust work practice, an unjust judge who allowed evidence or not to be presented, ect.

The people who run it are corrupt, the people who enforce it use the law for their own ends, the people who created it don’t care. The system is broken but they refuse to see it.

Dominion (and separately Smartmatic) have sued a number of Team Trump associates, and also Fox News (leading Fox to cancel Lou Dobbs).- so I don’t understand why the phrase “taking the Trump campaign to court” causes such concern. It seems reasonable shorthand in the circumstances.

It also seems reasonable that if you believe you have been seriously defamed, that you have the right to ask the court for damages. Free speech is free – but there can be major consequences if you state unproven falsehoods.

I wish US politicians and US people, “The People”, actually knew something about the US Constitution and in this case, the First Amendment which reads:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

There is a reason that the Left have been at war against education in the US and elsewhere over the last 50 years or so. They are trying to destroy everything that is good and decent about US society and Western Civilisation in general.

I’m finding it difficult to see the connection between the 1st Amendment and the assertion that “the Left” has somehow been at war against education.

And there are good arguments that it is only through progressive action (“the Left”) over the last 150 years that children and young adults have been able to receive a decent education.

Up till about 1970, Australia had a world class education system for those who were prepared to use it.
Australia’s education system now ranks well below Western Krygistan, all thanks to the clowns you are trying to give credit to.

Your Laborious “Left” has destroyed Australian education.

I am a product of the Australian education system from 1970 onwards. It was only through the policies of progressive governments (from Whitlam onwards) that we working-class baby boomers could afford to go to university at all.

Prior to 1970 it was the exclusive preserve of the well-off, and much of what was taught was old and fossilised.

And it’s not that Australia has dropped in education standards and outcomes – it is that much of the “Third World” (especially Asia) has caught up – which is a good thing it seems to me.

They are saying about 90% of UK care home residents were vaccinated by the end of Jan. Looking at my county’s data, care home deaths went up very markedly during Jan.

The problem is it’s difficult to know if it’s due to the vaccine or the delayed peak in deaths from the last wave.

Either way, they have clearly failed to protect care home residents yet again.

I’m the virus expert cited by MP Craig Kelly. Vaccines are critical, but he’s not all wrong

Vaccines, however, do have limitations. They need to be paired with effective, safe drug treatment. I believe two candidates are safe, cheap, available and effective. They are ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine. Australian health authorities, however, say there is not enough evidence to support their use in the treatment of COVID-19. I disagree with them.

I do not know Craig Kelly. There is much he has said that I disagree with, but on the matter of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine, he has been right to raise awareness about these drugs and their potential to be effective in the early treatment of the disease.

Herd immunity is unlikely. If it occurs it will likely be of short duration, requiring annual vaccination for continued immunity. Vaccines will be at the core of community management, but they are not enough on their own.

Ivermectin (IVM) and hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) have been used as antimicrobials for half a century with impeccable safety records. They prevent virus assemblage within infected cells and inhibit the inflammatory response. COVID-19 is a two phase disease, with the initial “viral phase” followed by severe life-threatening inflammatory disease requiring hospitalisation. Antivirals only work on the early viral phase (as with shingles, influenza and herpes infections).

Poorly constructed studies of the anti-viral HCQ on hospitalised COVID-19 patients mistakenly led to the drug being categorised as a “failed” therapy. That misunderstanding continues to dominate many official sites, despite there being at least 27 clinical studies in early disease – 10 of which were randomised clinical trials – showing a composite level of 63 per cent protection against admission to hospital and/or death. Similar data supported use in prevention of infection (as it did for malaria).

IVM came later, and avoided much of the political noise, but again was missed by many authorities.

Both drugs are used extensively in many countries, with dramatic reductions in COVID-19 deaths.

All studies have faults, but we are faced with an horrific pandemic, with few options for early treatment.

Henry Ergas sums it up in this Article in The Australian Today

Australia Day ‘invasion’ rhetoric perpetuates victimhood

    HENRY ERGAS

It was predictable, but nonetheless a pity, that the row over Australia Day would prove to be all heat, no light.

That suited the protesters, whose aim was to incite rather than inform. And in its own way, it also suited those they outraged, who could go away with all their views confirmed.

Lost in the process was any sense of the harm being done to historical accuracy and to our collective understanding of this country’s past, present and future.

After all, what we celebrate on Australia Day is not a polity that emerged, like Botticelli’s Venus, fully and perfectly formed, dispensing justice to all and undue suffering to none; no such entity has ever existed on this earth. Rather, the historically significant event was the birth — in the unlikely form of a convict colony — of what would mature into an open society that could, through democratic processes, learn from its failings and build on its achievements.

To say that is not to deny that many were excluded from its benefits and protections. Yet it is also undeniable that the circle of belonging was progressively extended, securing, however unevenly, an ever fuller measure of political and civic equality. Social progress and material improvement therefore went largely peacefully together, which, in a world strewn with violence and hatred, is so remarkable a blessing as to richly deserve being feted.

Unfortunately, history’s fractured terrain readily lends itself to being transformed into a battleground.

And the scope for mischief is all the greater because modern life is consumed by what Friedrich Nietzsche called a “malignant historical fever” that makes us seek in the past the sticks with which to beat each other senseless in the present.

But the damage wreaked by the rhetoric of “invasion” and “genocide” goes beyond the misleading portrait it paints of Australia’s development. Rather, it has cemented a “sorry” culture that is morally and politically impoverishing.

None of that will placate the activists, any more than would changing the date on which we celebrate the Australian achievement. Their unshakeable premise is that this country is rotten to its core; it would be better, some of them clearly believe, if the millions of settlers who built this continent had left it to the drifting sands.

Observing the world as it stands, it is difficult to conjecture a bestiality, a lunacy of oppression or a sudden devastation that would not be credible and that could not readily become a fact. Amazingly, the culture, connections and institutions that the First Fleet brought on its perilous journey not only spared us those calamities but set the foundations for a future of freedom and prosperity.

To every year remember that fleet’s arrival, and mark it by welcoming new citizens who have come under immeasurably easier conditions, is the least we can do in grateful return.

This is a pretty crude characterisation, and in fact a strawman. And I disagree with the point … I think changing the date would do a huge amount to take 90% of the dissent and controversy out of “Australia Day”, and I think most of us of European descent wouldn’t have a problem with moving it.

I’m such a person, and am in fact a First Fleet descendant – I’d like the date changed as an act of reconciliation.

Craig Kelly is being targeted by both sides, his own are branch stacking against him in his electorate I heard on Sky this week, not the first time that the Liberal NSW HQ leftists have targeted real Liberals marked for replacement with LINO candidates.

But what exactly has Craig done wrong?

So he correctly identified the unreliable energy situation, and most recently that there are ways to tackle COVID-19 until vaccinations are ready for distribution.

The “relentless negativity” is a low tactic, Tony Abbott was targeted from 2009 to 2015, and then faced a well funded GetUp organisation backed, renewables industry investor funded, leftist candidate masquerading as “sensible right”, meant to fool voters into believing the candidate was Liberal.

But the factional warfare is not confined to the Liberals, look Labor and Each Way Albo.

A related point. Peter Ridd has argued for a specific govt dept of Public Policy Science Quality Assurance. I think it has some issues but its worth while thinking about.

Much of our public policy is driven by politicians seeking to placate various groups and on the Barrier Reef and Climate Change politicians are almost always dead wrong.

Peters idea is that this dept would be staffed by qualified experts and have a very strict charter that ALL science needs to be reviewed and that the depts rulings need to be clearly published. If the govt seeks to go outside these then they are going outside verified science.

Its not a perfect idea and the Achilles Heel is that it gets full of Leftists who thumb their nose at the science they don’t like. But it has merit if the Charter is rigourous and demonstrated failure to ignore it means instant termination.

The constant issue here is that we have Leftists quoting junk science or even pulling the science out of thin air to justify their own opinions.

    Food for thought.

Social Media Bias Just Got Even More Orwellian

A study by the New York University Stern Center for Business and Human Rights, titled “False Allegation: The Unfounded Claim that Social Media Censors Conservatives,” is downright chilling—and it tells you everything you need to know about the dishonesty of those who purport to be arbiters of truth in modern American society.

The researchers didn’t waste any time getting to the crux of their preposterous charges. The report declares at the outset: “The claim of anti-conservative animus is itself a form of disinformation: a falsehood with no reliable evidence to support it. No trustworthy largescale studies have determined that conservative content is being removed for ideological reasons or that searches are being manipulated to favor liberal interests.”

Not only are we accused of lying on social media anytime we have the audacity to share an opinion that does not conform to left-wing orthodoxy but now they say we are lying about being lied about!

You would think such a bold claim would be backed up by reams of data to prove the thesis. Alas, the researchers proffer no such proof. You have to scroll all the way down to page 20 of the report to learn that:

The question of whether social media companies harbor an anti-conservative bias can’t be answered conclusively because the data available to academic and civil society researchers aren’t sufficiently detailed. Existing periodic enforcement disclosures by Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are helpful but not granular enough to allow for thorough analysis by outsiders.” [Emphasis added.]

So, the question “can’t be answered” because there is not enough available data to support a conclusion one way or another. Nevertheless, the researchers felt confident declaring that charges of bias are based in “falsehood” or “disinformation.”

If this NYU report is any indication—and I have no doubt that it will be used far and wide as justification to further silence us—we will henceforth be accused of trading in “disinformation” any time we dare to complain about anti-conservative media bias—based on the flimsiest of arguments and data that the researchers admit is inconclusive and not “granular” enough.

It would be laughable if it weren’t so diabolical. Not only do we have to deal with media bias—where a small group of “official” “fact-checkers” determine what’s true and what’s not, in accordance with their own biases—but now we’re not even allowed to speak above a whisper about the biases. The Ministry of Truth sees and hears all. And don’t even think about believing your lying eyes when they tell you what the actual words of the report say or mean:

This is not a correct characterisation.

I am deeply sceptical that there was fraud or rigging. But I have

          never

claimed there was no fraud … it’s very difficult to prove the negative, that’s why in logic (and usually the law) it is up to the person claiming the positive to prove their claim.

I can’t prove there are no fairies at the bottom of my garden – but the onus isn’t on me to prove that. If you think there are fairies at the bottom of the garden, then you need to have pretty solid evidence, it seems to me. Same with the election.

So far that has not happened, and therefore it is perfectly reasonable to say that fraud has not been demonstrated, but equally, those who claim there was fraud aren’t going to make it “true” just by repeating the claim over and over again.

Georgia has a Republican governor, attorney-general, secretary of state, lower house, and state senate. They have repeatedly certified and stated that their elections were properly conducted. Why do you think that is?

Canadian Olympic Committee Warns Athletes Not to Criticize China

The Canadian Olympic Committee said its athletes should avoid publicly criticizing China ahead of the 2022 winter games in Beijing, due to concerns that critics could be prosecuted under the Communist Party’s national security laws, the Globe and Mail reported on Thursday.

David Shoemaker, chief executive officer of the Canadian Olympic Committee, said the committee plans to spend “a considerable amount of time” instructing its competitors on what “they might consider not commenting on, perhaps, at least until after the Games have taken place.”

“There have been dissidents in Hong Kong who have been taken away and charged for saying things that have been contrary to the Communist Party of the Chinese government’s policies,” Shoemaker told the paper. “So we will talk to our athletes about the implications of what they say and of the topics that they choose to speak about.”

Human rights activists have called on democratic governments to boycott the games due to growing evidence of China’s brutal repression of the Uighur people.

In the United States, Senate Republicans introduced legislation this week to move the Olympics to a different country, arguing that the “flagrant human rights abuses committed by the Government of the People’s Republic of China are inconsistent with Olympic values.”

A White House spokesman said Wednesday that the Biden administration has no plans to boycott the Olympics at this time.

” “In 1975, President Ford was left to manage the difficult ending of

was ONE US SENATOR who opposed any such support. The result was the

He also points out the hypocrisy on how CNN was allowed to publish pretty much exactly the same footage plus how larger lefty organisations like the “Young Turks” seem exempt.

That ‘radical idea’ is the most dangerous idea for the Democrat cabal in America today….because it’s always been the totally obvious …legal and sensible solution to the crisis situation they’re manufacturing in order to try to justify their Putin-style attacks on democracy.

Guilty people can’t afford to have the truth revealed.

If not guilty…Biden and the Democrats would free up the States Judges who fear being the ones to find fraud that could overturn election results…would indemnify them so long as they faithfully follow the law and the Constitution as they examine all the evidence.

If there were still appeals after it had been honestly and forthrightly dealt with in the States’ courts…SCOTUS would then be able to hear the evidence because the requirements for that would have been met.

Whichever way the fallout of that settles…the majority of people would feel that at least …even if it’s not what they believe happened….the available evidence had been examined and reasons given for judgments on it…backed by the written law.

Things would be a lot calmer I would think…so long as all the attacks on democracy before and after the election…..that are the real incitement …were acknowledged as heinous and never to be repeated…and ended forthwith.

If Biden remained POTUS after all that…even if the Democrats were inclined to do what’s right…there is so much that’s subversive and anti-democratic in America now that needs to be dismantled and consigned to history, that the task is almost insurmountable.

Any new ‘commissions’ etc would be soon ‘owned’ and controlled by the Left ….and serving only the Democrats.

If there are enough rational commonsense parents left after all of this…..then the parents of America could be the answer I think.
Nothing else will work if the draining of the brains of America’s children continues uncountered.
The Left are ….and always have been…. coming for our children.

You can see why the Left absolutely had to get rid of Trump because he stood…as no President in memory has…..in the way of the Socialists’ eternal plan to ‘disrupt’ the nuclear family …to deny mums and dads the right to decide in what milieu their children would grow up…and their plan to use schools and universities for indoctrination of children instead of education.

They have to do that because their Global Socialism plan…their Great Reset…in all its iterations over the last six decades…don’t work if they don’t have control of the children.

In the light of that ….a new initiative by a Cornell Professor Bill Jacobson interviewed on FOX today…gathers the data and exposes …as a resource for parents….the universities that don’t promote Critical Race Theory so that parents have a fighting chance to have their children educated rather than indoctrinated.

    https://criticalrace.org/

K-12 parents are clamoring for similar data on schools.

    Hopefully Professor Jacobson has tenure.

But parents have to have school choice available to them to take advantage of the data…and it’s easy to see why the Left had to get rid of Trump …even if it meant stealing an election and risking eventual prosecution…I hope.

So find ways to bypass the Left Wing MSM …which is the great indispensable enabler for Socialism…and use every tool available to empower conservative parents…is the only solution I can think of….in the absence of a new Trump term.
