Another new UK June record, not sure of the final figure, 36.7C in Somerset so far.
New record minimum, Cardiff over 23C.
Jersey reached 39.3C but it’s part of British Isles, not classified as a UK site.
My coastal town again broke it’s all time record (long term good quality site). Now 35.5C
My bramley apples fried and ruined on the sunward side yesterday, brown rot set in and ripped through the lot overnight. That’s a first.. Just heat and humidity I guess.

Lived here US mid-Atlantic east coast for forty years.
This past winter was the coldest I’ve ever experienced.
About 1.5 to 2 feet of snow followed by weeks of single digit temps.
Hard ice snow pack making digging out very difficult.
Grocery procurement became an issue.
The city constructed a semi-trailer size snow pile in front of my house.
Front loaders and dump trucks came in to haul it away.
I actually saw a city snow plow salt truck stuck in the ice even on a down hill incline.
A front loading tractor had to come and pull it out.
Feel like another like it could be the end of me.
Tough guy me used to make fun of old folk fleeing to Florida in the winter.
Spring is the mildest I can remember.
One are two hot days in June but so far quite pleasant.
Even light jacket cool some mornings.
I don’t know if records were set, but I doubt we would hear much about counter narrative record setting.
