An interesting observation from US source and Trump camp is that the requests for allied nations to patrol the sea lanes to protect merchant navy oil and gas tankers included that the US and Israel have done the heavy lifting and do not need the oil or the gas and therefore the allied nations that do must take responsibility in the best interests of their own fuel security.

US since Trump Term 01 and lifting bans on oil and gas production is self sufficient again, and exports more oil than Saudi Arabia.

By the way, our Federal Government transition away from fossil fuel legislators and regulators (and States involvement) are attempting to denigrate now Opposition and Liberal Leader (former Morrison Minister for Energy) Angus Taylor saying he when minister purchased and left oil stored in the US, suggesting of what use to Australia was that.

I believed that oil was still owned by Australia via the Federal Government but learnt recently Albanese Labor sold it not long after they were elected in May 2022, and conveniently and quietly dropped the Morrison-Taylor plan for increased storage capacity here. The deal for oil purchasing to order between POTUS Trump and PM Morrison when they had private weekend discussions at Mar-A-Lago following a White House Washington State Dinner in honour of PM Morrison and Mrs Morrison by the President and his wife. AUKUS Pillar 01 & 02 partnership also began from those talks, and in 2021 the AUKUS agreement was signed in England by POTUS Biden, UK PM Johnson and PM Morrison after they attended the Glasgow COP where PM Morrison declined from signing the net zero emissions (extension and replacing the 2015 Paris Agreement) despite urging by Biden, Johnson and UN IPCC officials

The oil that Morrison purchased (1.7 million barrels, $94 million) in March 2020 was stored in the US because there was nowhere to keep it in Australia due to lack of storage facilities.

It was sold by the Albanese regime in June 2022.

Obviously Australia doesn’t need oil because we are fanatically committed to wind, solar and Unicorn flatulence. (Sarc)

Incidentally, Australia uses about 1.15 million of barrels per day so that stockpile wouldn’t have lasted long.

The stockpile was a first order after the deal to supply US oil as needed was struck by the President and our PM.

So he smashes up the place, then tells Vlad and Iran they can export fuel at a premium price. The world has been turned upside down.

It looks consistent in terms of “conspiracy theory “/pattern recognition.
ClimateChangeTM was about reducing human energy “footprint” but with exceptions for some who were low footprint on average – poor countries.
COVIDPandemicTM appears to have has a small effect by way of excess deaths , but it is still early days for damaged immune systems.
EpicFuryTM appears set to greatly reduce energy consumption for a very large number, including food consumption.
So what is the next step?
A better pandemic maybe ; transmissibility seems to have been tweaked: now lethality needs some adjustment.

It’s sad that a talented, successful and insightful cartoonist like Gary Trudeau has completely lost his ability to understand reality. If Trump really were a tyrannical ‘king’ like Trudeau is implying, then he would never be able to publish such a comic without getting the midnight knock and being shipped off to a gulag (or shot like a dog in the street). But he feels completely comfortable doing so because he knows that knock will not come. So how does he square that with his belief that Trump is a tyrant? He is either incapable of reconciling it and so he blocks out the contrary evidence, or he knows he is lying but also knows what sells and is doing it for crass commercial purposes.

He also implies that ICE is murderous and racist, without reconciling the fact that the only two people shot by ICE are woke white leftists (really only one … Alex Pretti was shot by customs & border patrol, not ICE). If ICE is racist, it’s against whites, not brown people. Or here is a crazy thought. Perhaps some of them are just on edge after threats/attacks against them have spiked 1000% in the past year and are a little too quick to draw their guns when physically threatened. Maybe turning down the volume/hate against ICE would save lives, rather than cranking the amp up to 11. And let’s be honest, given all the grief and abuse and violent encounters they have faced over the past year, it’s pretty darn amazing that only two people have been shot. With two exceptions, ICE/CBP agents have shown tremendous restraint in the face of massive resistance.

I don’t disagree with that, but is he not just reflecting the reality of a significant fraction of the population.
I don’t know what opinions he holds personally.
Currently he runs old strips on the other six days of the week , and if you look at those you will see it is about young American blokes getting blown up in “excursions” and losing lives and limbs etc.
So I think there is a fair amount of a certain reality being portrayed.
And in regard to tyranny , if such exists, then Trump is merely a passing manifestation of that system of control which is global , or intended to be at this point.

No matter how anybody tries to spin it, illegal immigrants are illegal immigrants even if they apply for asylum and are granted a hearing and temporary entry visa.

Australia intercepts illegal immigrants and the authorities list each vessel arrival (people smuggler boats and clients) as Suspected Ilegal Entry Vessel and next number on list of arrivals, they are under Operations Sovereign Borders (Abbott Government still in place, previously Pacific Solution Howard Government but abandoned by Rudd Labor later) they are processed offshore in a detention (not a prison) centre where as detainees they are free to leave but not to travel to Australia. After UNHCR based processing of asylum applications they are, if rejected, permitted one appeal and then if that fails must leave or remain in detention until they decide to leave.

A major problem has been that people smugglers advise clients to hide the homeland passport and issue a fake forged passport for air travel usually to Indonesia where Muslims can enter without a visa. And then they board a boat sailing to Australia and therefore with no passport at that point are difficult to background check and no country will have them regardless of any citizenship claim (until they “find” their passport when they have no other option).

The other method now more often used is to apply for a visa and enter legally as a visitor and then apply for asylum, and must be processed in Australia.

Border security is very important, consider the problems in EU countries where UNHCR influence rules, Convention on Refugees out of date based on post WW2 refugees. Now inter-country travel is easier and much faster.

It appears that in most developed countries the leftist activists are not interested in borders and national security, or future social problems and illegal immgrant motives and objectives, especially the ones intent of changing a country to their culture and laws.

Asylum seekers are not illegal immigrants, if they report to authorities and request asylum. Or if they are picked up en-route and request asylum.

The problem is that the asylum system is being abused by economic migrants.

Asylum was designed to accommodate people under genuine threat in their country of origin, not people looking to make their fortune and send remittances back home to fund their family and/or their eventual retirement back to the old country. Nor was it designed for asylees to take planes trains and automobiles halfway around the world to gain asylum in a specific country. It’s supposed to be for the first ‘safe’ country they set foot in. A migrant who starts out in south American and works their way up through a half-dozen countries in south/central/north America before crossing into the United States does not have a legitimate asylum claim in the USA. Same goes for alleged asylees who pass through a half-dozen countries in their journey to Australia.

They are, when for example, they leave Afghanistan and seek refuge in Pakistan and bypass UNHCR Refugee Camps there and pay people smugglers for illegal entry opportunity to Australia via Indonesia and a safe haven for Muslims who need no entry visa and can stay, and there is by arrangement a UNHCR facility in Jakarta permit issued by the Government of Indonesia.

Convention requires a genuine refugee to seek refuge and asylum is the nearest safe haven country, not to pick and choose a further away country destination, or use people smugglers and boats, etc.

Like entering an EU country and then moving to others, and crossing the Channel in boats not authorised to travel.

            • #

Convention recommends asylum seekers apply in the first safe country, but that is not a legal requirement that I can see.
Some countries use the notion of a first “safe country” option to relocate asylum seekers to the first safe country to avoid having to process the asylum seeker. But an asylum seeker is not an illegal immigrant if legitimately seeking asylum.

Seeking Asylum in the Nearest Safe Haven
                Principle of Asylum
Refugees are encouraged to seek asylum in the first safe country they reach. This principle is based on the understanding that individuals fleeing persecution should find safety as quickly as possible.
                Global Trends
Most refugees do claim asylum in the first safe country they encounter.
Countries neighboring conflict zones often host the majority of refugees, as seen in recent crises.
                Legal Obligations
Countries that are parties to the Refugee Convention must ensure that refugees are not returned to places where they face danger. This includes providing access to fair asylum procedures and protecting their rights while they are in the host country.
                Conclusion
The Refugee Convention supports the idea that refugees should seek safety in the nearest safe haven, ensuring their protection and rights are upheld throughout the asylum process.

                Yes. That’s my understanding too.
That it’s best they seek asylum in the first safe haven, but are not required to by law.
Hence they’re not illegals in the country in which they seek asylum. If they apply correctly and are bona fide.

The whole idea of asylum seekers is just completely wrong! They shouldn’t exist in law anywhere, why should anyone else have to pick up their problem?

If they leave the country they are in, that is one less opposition against the Govt. The Govt would fall faster if they stayed and fought.

News from England: Australian Prime Minister thrown out of Australia’s biggest mosque by Islamists for refusing to convert from satanic socialism to the Islamic faith. Iran supporting satanic socialist staff of Britains Ministry of Peace attended an event at the Iranian embassy in London to celebrate the Islamic revolution, just weeks after the Islamic regime massacred thousands of its own people for revolting against a call to kill unbelievers. J*ws in Britain say they are very frightened by Starmers support for Islam. The Ministry of Truth (Ofcom) says criticism of the ‘religion of peace’ by J*ws is banned by the 1990 Broadcasting Act, the 1996 Broadcasting Act, the 2003 Communications Act, the 2006 Wireless Telegraphy Act, the 2010 Digital Economy Act, the 2011 Postal Services Act and the 2023 Online Safety Act.

Last night on Sky News current affairs the Mosque lecture video was replayed including translation of the lecture parts in Arabic as the Prime Minister and Minister for Immigration sat obediently on the floor facing the lecturers. The transcript exposes a very insulting and degrading spectacle and words of complaints and demands telling the guest politicians they are no longer welcome. Complaining about Muslims needs being ignored and accusing them of ignoring “Islamaphobia”, and even comparing the Palestine and First Australians as being examples of “genocide” and stealing of lands victims.

As the leaders lecturing reached an angry level members of the congregation began shouting in English and Arabic and in the latter language threatening words. Mosque security did move in to quieten the mob down and then the politicians departed with NSW Police escorts and congregation following shouting abuse.

Later the PM released a statement thanking all concerned for welcoming him and generally being super nice.

You are not obliged to believe it but my circle of friends is 15-20 years older than me.
They all were directed where to live and where to work when Australia accepted them in ’49-’52.
Often families were broken apart until completion of contract, most come back to Melbourne but not all – some became country folks, intermarried, etc,..

That was a deep and dark Australian past.
Nowadays we have a bright and happy future for everyone.

We are a highly successful multiracial society and the country is big enough to absorb them.

The government blundered after Covid, opened the doors wide to attract a workforce, but without a thought to accommodating them.

We have mass immigration and they should turn off the tap until real estate prices level out.

Yes. Important to distinguish between a multiracial society and multicultural. Multiracial works. Multicultural doesn’t, or is at least problematic.

Culture isn’t cuisine and the occasional traditional folk dance. Culture gets into laws, ethics, values. You can’t have a harmonious society if there are differences on the last three. Neighbours of the same race and citizenship typically won’t get along if they differ on those. Neighbours of different races and citizenships typically will if they are the same on those.

What you have described worked very well with like minded European and United Kingdom immigrants, and US and Canada and others of similar backgrounds other than language and customs maybe. The Snowy Mountains Hydro Electric Scheme was built on migrant labour and skills and in Cooma NSW there were several clubs for various nationalities and they all socialised together often.

That began to change 1970s when for humanitarian reasons the Fraser Coalition Government rescued from Lebanon what they intended to be “oppressed minority Lebanese”, but after a while the Lebanese Maronite Christians reported that Muslims were infiltrating the programme masquerading as Christians and the government stopped the rescue mission and resettlement in Australia.

The 1983 to 1996 period resulted in a combination of illegal immigrants and UNHCR supplied from refugee camps refugees checked and guaranteed before being sent here. Australia had/has a refugee resettlement programme every year intake and on a per capita basis is third behind USA and Canada, Norway is fourth. I think the present intake is 20-22,000 a year, up from Howard-Abbott governments 13,000 a year.

There is a book written by former Keating Labor Cabinet Minister Peter Walsh – Confessions Of A Failed Finance Minister published late 1990s – and chapters about “ethnic branch stacking” based on Immigration and recruiting ethnic group leaders to the Labor side branches. And a gathering of Cabinet Ministers who warned that the recruiting of some groups would result in future social problems!!!

Hopefully I will not be banned.
I see the start of your phrase – “like-minded…” more critical then following “European and UK immigrants…others of similar background” for the success a project.

State of Israel is the best example – nowhere else the backgrounds mix and proportions are so counterproductive. Say, in other countries they are strict divisions between 2-3 large groups, everyone knows his place.
Say what you want about “faith they kept them going over the millennia” ChatGPT responds in Israel:
              a) only about 1/2 of Jews “somewhat traditional”, including 1/4 – observant which include strictly observant, including official “Israel state-deniers”,
              b) 18% of population are most observant and those are Muslims,
              c) Christians, Druze and others like their traditions but mostly secular in day-to-day life.
Hardly Israel is a faith-driven Nation.
Question of race is too silly to consider.
How they survived for 80 years together – I suspect because they wanted to be a Nation.

It could have turned very nasty, very quickly, especially due to the pack mentality and the lack of impulse control of some of those people.

It proves that no matter how much appeasement the PM has provided to this demographic, e.g. importation of Gazans, importation of ISIS breeders (so-called “brides”), reward for the October 7th terrorist atrocities in Israel recognising “Palestine”, failure to offer assistance to Trump in securing Strait of Hormuz, disproportionate immigration of this Labor-voting demographic, toleration of regular pro-Hamas protests leading to disruption of business, personal mobility, violence and antisemitism etc. it is never enough.

The response from Albanese will be even more appeasement and more importation of the favoured demographic.

Is loving motherhood now a “national security threat”? In this essay, we expose the Biden-era CIA’s 2021 intelligence assessment that treated traditional motherhood, homemaking, organic cooking tutorials, and celebrating family/heritage as tools for “white racially and ethnically motivated violent extremist” (REMVE) radicalization and recruitment. The Oct 2021 report (titled “Women Advancing White Racially and Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremist Radicalization and Recruitment”) framed happy moms promoting large families or “traditional” roles as advancing far-right narratives—like subtle propaganda in blogs/videos.

Also, Catholics (they called them traditional Catholics for taking their kids to Church every Sunday and thought them the right things) were under investigation by the FBI. Once, the FBI, armed like going for bin Laden, forcibly entered a home at 6 in the morning, terrorising six children, the youngest just a toddler, and their mother and father. They were treated as home-grown terrorists. That was Biden’s America.

BBC,s malicious Trump speech edit ‘defended’ by the BBC for 58 months. Lawyers say that the Trump speech splice first appeared in BBC News coverage aired on the evening of January 6, 2021, and clips from it were circulated online soon after. Despite later criticism from independent media analysts who pointed out the deceptive editing, the BBC did not issue a clear, public correction acknowledging how their broadcast distorted the sequence and tone of the speech until 13 November 2025, 58 months later. The BBC’s ‘fake news’ was used as evidence against January 6 protesters including Enrique Tarrio. However, this means that Williamson could blame the BBC News team for using AI to create the malicious edit. Williamson has not commented. The U.S. Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) report that the BBC’s use of artificial intelligence enters the ethical category of synthetic media manipulation, which must be disclosed to viewers under Ofcom and BBC editorial guidelines. The BBC’s Editorial Guidelines (Section 6 & 18) require clear labelling of any “digitally altered or reconstructed material that may mislead audiences.” BBC News and Williamson have not publicly explain their editing process of the Trump segment. Williamson may have used the BBC News segment. BBC staff told Trumps lawyers that they blame the BBC News team. The US Embassy in London report that the mainstream media in Britain has not named Laurence Williamson or anyone in the BBC News team as the editor of the Trump speech.

I can see Trump winning bigly on this one.

You have to wonder why their BBC has not been fined. I heard POTIS Trump mention that AI was involved in the splice and just thought he was yabbering but that detail is now widely acknowledged.

The majority of UK citizens see POTUS Trump through their BBC lens.

Seeing the military power that the Bearded Beasts of Tehran (BBoT) owned before being destroyed by US military and the IDF, I think that in a hypothetical war between the BBoT and Europe, without any interventions by the US, the BBoT would win the war. And that assuming that the BBot don’t have the N-bomb yet.

‘They keep on pushing Zelensky for more war …’

In reality they are trying to defend Europe, whereas Donnie wants Ukraine to collapse under the Russian boot. Then in collaboration with Putin they intend to undermine Europe and take the spoils.

Once the BBoT nuclear facilities were taken out this war should have ceased, but there is a mad man in the white house who is hell bent on starting WW3.

Spinoza once remarked that all leaders are idiots and I tend to agree.

Apart from the traditional Labor far left dislike of defence forces and most often cutting back budget expenditure, I believe Labor Australia has decided to let the US do the heavy lifting based on US being the top foreign investment source of funding here, UK second, use of joint military Base Pine Gap and its strategic values to the US, the natural minerals and energy unrealised wealth that the allies would not want to fall into the hands of enemies via invasion, and including the increasing since 1990 US Military personnel and assets rotating through ADF Bases and Asia Pacific Region focus.

However, President Trump is making it very clear that the US is there to help allies who help themselves to the best of their ability.

        Added for consideration, the Australia, United Kingdom, United States AUKUS partnership created by President Trump, UK PM Johnson and our PM Morrison 2019 and signed in England 2021 by President Biden, and the two PM’s, is referred to as a forever partnership and Pillar 1.0 covers;

        * Extending the life of the RAN Collins Class conventional propulsion submarines
        * RAN sailors training on board US nuclear submarines
        * New Virginia Class nuclear submarines deliveries beginning 2030
        * Later building new generation SSN AUKUS nuclear submarines here and in UK for RAN and RN

Pillar 2.0 covers missile production here, development of new hypersonic missiles and many other military projects to follow

Until AUKUS the UK was the only allied nation given US nuclear technology and marine reactors from 60 years ago that US started to use 75 years ago.

RAN and UK existing submarines have US technology equipment and capabilities to enable them to operate with USN as required.

Well, that’s the Right-wing middle-class view of the world Dennis, but in reality any PM of Australia does as the Yanks tell him, or there will suddenly be demonstrations in Canberra that eventually get out of control and the Marines stationed in Darwin will get sent down to ‘help stabilise the situation’ and the local Police get sidelined and the demonstrations turn violent and Parliament gets burned down unless the Govt resigns.

America has vast experience in exactly this process, we are just naive country bumpkins.

Preferential voting in Australia allows voters to rank candidates in order of preference on their ballot paper. If no candidate receives more than 50% of the first-choice votes, the candidate with the least votes is eliminated, and their votes are redistributed based on the voters’ next preferences until a candidate achieves a majority.

Liberal candidates recommended preference first [ 2 ] One Nation but they did not return the favour and as many worried would happen preferences were scattered and Labor was returned comfortably.

“Smith: The Political Left, Multiculturalism, & The Dark Alliance With Islam”

“For 15 years the FBI was engaged in a landmark investigation into the largest Islamic-based charity in the United States, called The Holy Land Foundation. The organization was operating as a front for Muslim terror groups, funneling cash from western countries to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, until they were finally put on trial in 2008.

Convicted leaders were known as the “Holy Land Five,” and included Shukri Abu Baker, Ghassan Elashi, Mufid Abdulqader, Abdulrahman Odeh, and Mohammad El-Mezain. Among the documents seized from these individuals during the investigation was a strategic paper drafted by senior Muslim Brotherhood operative Mohamed Akram in 1991.

The paper was titled: “Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America”. It outlined an agenda called the “Civilization-Jihadist Process”, also known as “Stealth Jihad”.

The memorandum gave detailed methods for establishing Islam as a “civilization alternative” in the West and a “grand Jihad” for eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within. It called for the ‘sabotaging’ of the west and its “miserable house” by domestic hands AND the hands of the believers so that the west is eliminated and “God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”

The plan explicitly referred to using western society’s own people, institutions, laws, and unwitting allies (progressive groups and NGOs, media, politicians, academics, or civil-rights organizations) to advance the Islamic agenda.”

They are useful idiots of each other but both have common goals in the destruction of Western Civilisation.

It won’t end well for the Left.

2,800 to 5,000, according to international human rights organizations and other experts;[2][3][4][5][6] up to 30,000, according to various other sources

      Were murdered.

In Australia the National Disability Insurance Scheme is costing far more than anticipated and mainly because it was a rushed through, poorly thought out and constructed Labor 2011/12 creation and survival 2013/14 Budget lure for the September 2013 election. The main fault is the Federal-State agreements that limit Federal funding oversight.

Recent investigations reported have revealed that NDIS accredited service providers are increasing like mushrooms and most located in, for example, Sydney Western Suburbs where many Mosques are located, one investigative journalist who is an independent was interviewed on Sky News recently and he explained the growing number of providers and young clients many as well as older Australians. One building in a suburban shopping centre was NDIS service providers only and not friendly when visited and questions asked by the journalist.

I agree Graeme, I have not been a member of any political party since I was in my very early twenties after being raised in a family of politicians and exposed to politics and many what I describe as “fly on the wall” observations and hearings. Since the new centre left faction became obvious after the Howard Government was defeated November 2007, with some exception periods such as Abbott Opposition then Government 2009 to 2015, and the anonymous leaking constantly that Abbott has warned journalists not to accept in future unless the source is prepared to be identified publicly, a lot of public perception damage has been inflicted. Much of it character assassination directed at leaders and the party/s policies and even legislation if the left vested interests were not happy.

The problem here is the governments, not the computers.

The failure of the Liberals in SA – what does that predict for Liberals at the next Victorian election and Federal election?

    90

    • #
      Dennis

Possibly, however put in perspective SA and TAS are the favoured states for Senate candidates because the populations are the lowest of all and therefore electorate voter numbers less than the average in QLD and VIC.

Also SA has long been a Labor stronghold and they have governed most of the time. And the swing in favour of One Nation was not uniform electorate by electorate.

The Liberals SA have had too many leader changes and the latest only Leader for several months.

And for reasons covered elsewhere often One Nation has 30 years since 1997 of minor party status apart from a couple of terms in QLD State. The founder was first elected as a Liberal candidate and won a seat in 1996, and was soon disendorsed for “contentious remarks” regarding First Nations people.

Note the first Federal House of Representatives MP joined them this year, former National MP/Leader/Deputy Coalition Prime Minister Joyce, and one of the two new SA Upper House MPs is a former Liberal Senator in Federal Parliament.

They remind me of former Liberal Senator Chip and his Australian Democrats that became a Federal Senate balance of power minor party for a few years and then disappeared.

The Australian today (on-line?) has an analysis of the voting. They claim that the big wing to OneNation was from those without Uni degrees and earning less than $800 a week, and those people switched their votes from Labor as well. It claimed that the Liberal vote was steady in 3 close to the City electorates where the level of degrees was highest.

I’m just reporting them, but it seems simple – both Liberal and Labor appeal to those better off. Might explain why the Liberals have lost country seats regularly to Independents.

Great circle minimum distance from Iran to closest point in the US is around 9000km. Iran reported the Khorramshahr-5 missile claiming a range of 12,000km.

And their declarations over the last 47 years of their intentions to destroy Israel and the United States and the rest of the West?

60% enriched uranium is enough to build a crude heavy ship or truck deliverable nuclear explosive device similar to Little Boy which used 80% (but was air deliverable with difficulty due to lighter weight due to higher enrichment).

60% represents a vast majority of the work needed to reach 90% enrichment for a modern compact ICBM deliverable nuclear device which uses 90% or higher. It would have been a small matter to enhance their 60% stockpiles to 90%.

Years of appeasement of violent totalitarian regimes that want to harm others is one of the reasons the world is in such a mess.

And the Iran war has been 47 years in the makng, it’s just that TRUMP was the first US President to do something about it.

Also even the sympathetic IAEA confirmed 60% enriched material. And why do you think they banned further IAEA inspections?

        Inconvenient facts here:

David didn’t need to support the two week timeframe. The intent is the key factor. Not whether it’s 2 weeks, 1 month, or 12 month. You’re clinging to the least important claim. And you don’t even know that it wasn’t two weeks.

And what difference does it make?

It’s better to act early before they get a bomb. Not after.

The intent of Iran is obvious.

We know the Left love some of the world’s most evil regimes, but ongoing appeasement and inaction as the Left want would have resulted in a certain nuclear weapon disaster. Not to mention ongoing human rights violations, especially against women.

              Rubbish!!

You’ve swallowed too much American propaganda if you think Iran would launch a nuclear war on America! Why can’t you progress your thinking past that point of dropping the bomb? What happens next? They wipe out the Pentagon and a few square miles around it, and then what?

Did the world stop when America dropped nuclear bombs on Japan? No, and things would still happen if Iran did the same. They know as well as anyone that their whole country would become nuclear slag, and no leader is in power to wear that. If you believe they will do it because they are “Mad Mullahs”, its time you changed your reading material.

Its just America trying to rule the world as usual, every day, all the time, day in and day out. “We can have nukes but you can’t”…

If you can see that, then man up and admit it! It has nothing to do with “freedom” or the “rule of law” or anything else, except America wanting to rule the world, and being willing to kill anyone who stand in their way.

Does anyone think that all the countries in the world will never have nuclear weapons? Its 80year old tech right now, and is “The West” going to continue to try and stop the rest of the world from using it for the next 80years? ..or forever?

Why does Iran want a nuclear weapon? They don’t need one for self defence. It would be an attack weapon.

Saying the world wouldn’t stop if Iran dropped a nuclear bomb so let them have one, is a poor argument. It’s a weapon of devastation as seen at Hiroshima. Sure, it’s localised on a world scale. But the localised million people are no longer.

Iran has shown by their own actions and words that they should not be permitted to have such a weapon.

The Iron Dome doesn’t stop a nuclear weapon. It might explode it prematurely. But it’s very different to intercepting a small ordinance missile. A nuclear weapon will have fallout.

Given the survival of cyclones and half a tonnes of 60% U235, two weeks or twelve months to breakout is more a question of Team IRGC’s political intent than fundamental science and engineering.

The Iranian regime has long since done the critical design and testing of the necessary components of a viable and deliverable weapon. Albright summarises what seems to be the generally accepted development path:

          https://isis-online.org/isis-reports/highlights-of-irans-perilous-pursuit-of-nuclear-weapons/

Whether or not you loathe Trump and America, or the West more generally, we are now collectively committed to shutting down a wholly unrestricted, nuclear capable terrorist organisation posing as a state. And that includes Emperor Xi and Putin.

We don’t know the price yet – nor the timing or extent of the damage the IRGC will cause – but it will certainly be far greater and more terrible if the fakirs are left intact and capable of anything more than garden variety terrorism.

        But what was discovered;

        * Shipping documents for chemicals imported
        * Unused new artillery shells designed for WMD gases
        * Laboratories and necessary equipment
        * Two chemists the locals called Doctor Death and Chemical Ali
        * Evidence of WMD deployment against Turkish Kurds and Iran

Planned 10-gigawatt Softbank data center in Ohio might be the largest in the world — will require a $33 billion natural gas plant, equivalent to nine nuclear reactors

The proposed data center will be located in a 3,700-acre complex in Piketon, which previously produced weapons-grade uranium during the Cold War and later supported civilian nuclear fuel production before shutting down in 2001. To power the data center, SoftBank-backed SB Energy is deploying a fleet of gas turbines capable of generating approximately 9.2 GW, with an additional 800 MW of capacity also planned, according to the report.

    https://www.tomshardware.com/tech-industry/artificial-intelligence/planned-10-gigawatt-softbank-data-center-in-ohio-might-be-the-largest-in-the-world-will-require-a-usd33-billion-natural-gas-plant-equivalent-to-nine-nuclear-reactors

Of course the RAM shortage plus the Iranian war dragging on for years will destroy availability of critical tech supplies like Helium, Aluminum and Bromine will no doubt having major ramifications (ie scrapping plans) for planned data centers.

If AI is writing the work and AI is reading the work, do we even need to be there at all?” Educators reveal a growing crisis on campus and off.

Few spheres of public life have been more rapidly and thoroughly transformed by generative AI products than education, and few professions have been more dramatically upended than teachers and education workers. There’s a case to be made that the first major social transformation of the modern AI era was the mass diffusion of ChatGPT into classrooms, where students took to using it as an easy implement for cheating on homework.

This mass plagiarization crisis has only deepened and complicated since, leaving educators, administrators, and students to grapple with how to construct, enact, and enforce AI policies at school.

    https://www.bloodinthemachine.com/p/if-ai-is-writing-the-work-and-ai

This is a long list of stories about AI in the education sector, and the human factor, both for students and educators, highlighting the “jump on the latest & greatest bandwagon” mentality without understanding the consequences.

Part of it is probably the University/Science myth especially post WWII.
The myth that Unis were engines of egalitarianism made pure by pure truth seeking.
It was pushing toward that for a bit.
But they’ve morphed back toward mere credentialing factories for the credentialed.
In Pandemic we witnessed the credentialed openly turning on the credentialed.
        Thus revealing their true nature.
Our mistake is believing the ‘science’ as true knowledge must certainly be an underling morality of the modern enlightened managerial class.
Turned out they reverted to their their Medieval Church style power play ways.
AI just makes the credentialing easier.

Nigerian researchers accidentally confirm Africa’s low IQ problem

For many years the political left has dismissed all discussion about links between third world populations and low intelligence as “racism” and “xenophobia”. The well documented fact that low IQ populations are more inclined towards lack of impulse control and a higher crime rate does not matter to progressives.

Only 3% of participants scored above the western average of 100. The median IQ of all participants was 69. Over 50% of the people tested scored below 70. To understand just how low Nigeria’s averages are, the US Department of Defense in previous research has determined that an 80 IQ is the lowest score that a recruit can have and still be viable for a job in the military.

    https://www.zerohedge.com/political/nigerian-researchers-accidentally-confirm-africas-low-iq-problem

Not that a low iq automatically makes one an undesirable, but look at the UK.
Low iq translates to no real understanding of laws, customs and socially acceptable conduct.
    Culturally enriched how?
A 70 iq is a bad score for a chicken curry.

Important is not only language but, I will not be afraid of the word – how culturally suitable it was.
The (employment) test I did 50 years ago has shown very little above 100 (honestly, I do not remember !)
They talked to me and found that, being two weeks in the country, I understood many words but not ALL the sense of them together.
And I got the place, live happily ever after…

Your right Vladimir, I Q tests tend to be “culture fair” an I Q test for an Eskimo is impossible to pass for a person from the tropics. One would need to look very closely at the formation of these IQ tests to see if they fit purpose. Asking someone that is a subsistence farmer how windmills are better than coal fired power plants can generate a “low” I Q every time.

        • #

One of the things that really annoys me about Australian politics is the timidity of the LNP. Again, proven by the SA election. Just recently I have heard of the “Taylor plan”. When in government Angus Taylor had a plan to subsidise storage for diesel fuel in Australia again. The idea being that diesel was exceptionally important for our economy and that having storage in the US was not ideal. All of a sudden with a diesel fuel shortage looming that plan looks prescient. Very wise future proofing. But I cannot remember AT or the LNP ever broadcasting this policy. So, similar to their wanting to build 2 coal powered electricity generators. They always seem shy to divulge these policies, just in case some Green voters might not preference them or something. Or they don’t want to sound like Donald Trump. All I can remember from Morrison and Frydenberg was signing us up to Net Zero and a complete surrender in terms of financing future non renewable energy projects.

Saleh Mohammadi, Iranian wrestler and national hero murdered by the bloodthirsty Iranian mullahs for protesting against their evil regime:

There is nothing distinctly Iranian about the illegitimate arrest, trial, and execution of Saleh Mohammadi, or about the mass killing of citizens whose only crime was participating in peaceful public protest. This brutality on the part of the Iranian government is rooted entirely in Islam, a religion that originated on the Arabian peninsula and that is alien to the Persian people, who have a long, rich history that predates Islam by many centuries. But that history doesn’t matter a whit so long as these fanatical Muslims are allowed to remain in power. When a country, any country, is run by such people, this is the kind of conduct that you have to expect.

I want to commend all those Australians who have made efforts to hoard diesel. It will give a lot more Australians an idea of what NetZero looks and feels like sooner rather than later.

Our fuel guru Anthea Harris will be very pleased. It was thought that NetZero for transport and agriculture would not be achieved till 2040. With her taking charge of fossil fuel supply, NetZero could be achieve mid 2026.

Once again POTUS Trump proven to be the greatest leader in history. Most nations could make big inroads into NetZero by mid 2026 all through his big effort in taking out the Iranian clerics. Sadly the US will miss this opportunity because they have heaps of the stuff and are even prepared to sell it to other countries. But most other countries prefer to use their abundant green energy than taking anything POTUS Trump has on offer.

Please stay home and avoid using fossil fuels. Help support the race to NetZero.

The real guy (inasmuch as an AI channel can be real) is or was called OG John AG and OG John AG2. After amassing tens of thousands of subscribers, a storm of copycat channels appeared, ambushing and diluting his content. Youtube hit him with shadow sabotage, desubscribing his followers randomly, then when that didn’t work, they finally banned and removed both his channels and all their content with no warnings at all. Someone in power really didn’t want him reaching a big audience. He only started his channel on Nov 24th or so last year. Was a phenomenal growth.

The only line left to reach him is on X. https://x.com/OGJohnAG He’s taking a break.

But it rather suggests he was posting meaningful and very unusual content, which is what we found. We believe the man behind it was a trading insider, because of his detailed knowledge of the way the markets are manipulated.

I still have many copies of his videos as mp3 files. Not sure if I could legally release them.

      No!
      Don’t wake up!
Just starve to death wondering why the world isn’t working the way you thought it was.

The term “Useless Eaters” springs to mind…

    An odd item in News.com

    https://www.news.com.au/sport/motorsport/v8-supercars/bathurst-1000-faces-traffic-nightmare-as-key-highway-closure-threatens-race/news-story/10fc021a1f5940022eaba21e1747f6ea

Somehow the closure of a highway will stop car racing fans from travelling to Bathurst later this year for the Supercar event. Car racing fans, who like cars and driving, will somehow find a 200klm detour and insurmountable barrier. So far it’s just politicians and tourism people getting frenzied about it.

Very odd, and it really shows the state that Australia is in!! The Bathurst 1000 is 7months away, and they can’t fix a major highway in that time??

That is just pathetic, we’re not organised enough to be a first world country, yet we’re not uncaring enough just to get it done in any way and be a third world country. Seems second-world countries just get paralysed with fear about doing anything at all!

I wonder how many Australian voters realise that they have voted for no fuel by voting in successive Labor and LNP governments. That is what NetZero means. Complete absence of fossil fuels.

If you did not vote for One Nation, you are part of the problem.

LNP have been a lost cause since Tony Abbott was rolled.

Voting One Nation is the only way back for Australia. They are the only party of significance that has consistently rejected the UN bureaucrats in New York governing Australia using their UN stooges in Australia.
So when you hear anyone complaining about the fuel issues, the rent issues, the cost of electricity, tho cost of groceries, the cost of housing. Just ask if they voted for One Nation. If they reply that they didn’t then take a few moments to point out that they voted for the UN through their Australian stooges in Labor and LNP and are part of the problem.
