Threatened mass disruption of the Winter olympics
https://gatesofvienna.net/2026/01/hamas-lovers-cause-trouble-in-milan-and-bologna/
80
Remember Munich, 1972.
And, the aftermath.
“Two days before the start of the 2016 Summer Olympics, Brazilian and Israeli officials led a ceremony where the International Olympic Committee (IOC) honoured the eleven Israelis and one German killed at Munich. During the 2020 Summer Olympics, a moment of silence was observed in the opening ceremony.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munich_massacre
20
And it took 44 years for the IOC to bother to do anything. But that was before the Games actually started, so a bit disingenuous.
But as you say there was no Official Commemoration by the IOC at an opening ceremony until Tokyo 2020, held 2021.
There was also a low key moment of silence in London 2012 at the Olympic Village.

The end of the “World order?”
https://dailysceptic.org/2026/01/28/the-end-of-the-world-order-as-we-know-it-nice-of-you-to-notice/
America has very often acted in its own self interest which sometimes happily coincides with that of its allies. Imposing Order with all the benefits that implies has been a feature of most empires from the Pax Romana, Pax Britannia and since the end of WW2, Pax Americana . We in the West will be the poorer without it.
71
Major questions . . . . . cannot be stalled by one side alone. . . . .
https://www.rt.com/news/631718-russia-syria-putin-sharaa/
Pax Americana?
Laughably wrong.
Empire is over.
21
“cannot be settled”
Predictive text is a dog.
How to turn it off?
30
Depends on the way of settlement, wiping out the opposing point of view works for certain outlooks.
20
All laid out for anyone to see now-
“The American imperium has always been an axis of hypocrisy rather than an axis of democracy. What has changed is not American conduct, but the moment at which Western self-deception has finally been forced into daylight.”
20
Pauline Hanson seems to be making a comeback, noticed on this side of the world

120
Helped by Labor Government spending huge sums on their fantasies and the Liberals (supposedly conservative) in disarray.
Sounds familiar?
120
Energy prices amongst others will be rising again shortly. Albo needs more $$$$.
After all every flight to somewhere means handing out our tax $$ to some “ nation “
or the other. Latest was $ 500 million to East Timor!???
Of course everyone here in Oz is rolling in it???
I notice the opposition has not responded. Oops sorry I forgot we still haven’t got an opposition. We do however have the media which as usual is self censoring
50
The LNP is far to busy doing business with itself and protecting careers and pensions to be concerned with such trivial matters as running the economy and the country.
71
The Conservatives have a vested interest in allowing the Labor incompetents to totally wreck the economy. Again.
The hip-pocket nerve is the only nerve the Australian voter truly feels.
30
‘Latest was $ 500 million to East Timor!???’
Wise investment, small beer compared to what Beijing could throw at it.
13
Sri Lanka remembers Chinese investment
20
Yep its pathetic what corrupt politicians will stoop to.
Australia is putting a lot more money into NT, so they see see East Timor as the forward line.

I am happy to see that my strategy for renewing the Liberal party appears to be bearing fruit. I and many others, at the past couple of federal elections, chose to vote for ANY other ‘conservative’ party other than the Liberals, hoping that it would force them back toward conservatism, or perhaps serve to raise up a new conservative party. The downside of this was (hopefully) short term pain in the form of Labor governments until a credible and effective new conservative party garnered enough votes to form government.
We’re not there yet of course, and there is a risk that the ever corrupt leftists will use their time in power to ‘fix’ the system so that they are locked in for the foreseeable future. They are trying to do this through expansion of their welded-on voter base: unions, the public service, the welfare dependent, univ students, third world immigrants and others dependent on government largesse.
110
S o C, Same here.
With Preferential Voting it shouldn’t have been a gain for Labour.
40
I don’t think the Liberal Party is fixable.
They are more closely aligned with socialist Labor, not conservatives.
The Liberals have been dysfunctional for decades and have no clue what to believe in.
The future of the Liberal Party will be in coalition with Labor.
All my friends and I intend to vote One Nation in future (although one is about to leave the country permanently). That is Australia’s only hope. It’s One Nation or No Nation.
100
One Nation will need to run candidates in every House of Representatives seat in the country.
Pauline and Barnaby have a huge job of work to do.
91
Yes, huge job.
Australians have to decide if their country is worth saving or not.
Judging from past voting efforts, I think most (most present company excepted) don’t care less.
40
Ley tries to hang onto power.
‘Ley said if the Coalition is not reformed by 9 February, the beginning of the second sitting week, she would promote six MPs to shadow cabinet and two to the outer shadow ministry.
‘The announcement gives the Nationals an eight-day deadline to come back to the table to reform the Coalition, or face a more permanent split’ (Guardian).
20
And now Hastie has announced he won’t challenge. I despair for the Libs.
10
It maybe best to focus on the House of Reps seats they have a chance of winning.
Assuming the Libs and Nats pick new leaders, who adopt some of One Nation’s platform, then it might be deflating for ON.
00
Maybe Jo should hit on the ALP and CCP to fund her site. Chocolates no longer needed.
00
One Nation does have a serious hurdle to get over being only one MP in the Lower House of Representatives, the others are in the Senate and not many.
However, since about 1990 the Liberal Party of Australia and to a lesser extent the Coalition partner National Party of Australia have been infiltrated by MPs who are centre left or further to the left and also the controlling State Executives (most not all) have been taken over by the what I call LINO left (Liberals In Name Only). As astute political observers ave pointed out many times the Liberal-National brand has been the most successful by being in government many more terms than Australian Labor Party has been, but campaign as original Menzies’ Liberal Party of Australia centre right mostly.
Prime Minister Howard once described the Liberals as “a broad church” of factions, he is of course centre right as is former Prime Minister Abbott who was replaced by a narrow voting margin in the parliamentary party by Prime Minister Turnbull who had earlier replaced the after Howard Government loss Liberal Leader Dr Brendan Nelson of the centre right.
Coalition of Liberal-National masquerading as leftists and effectively saying anything they (Labor Green Teals) can do we could do better does not go down well with the electorate.
One Nation and Leader Pauline Hanson at least are proudly and loudly conservatives and centre right.
Recently former Deputy Prime Minister and National Party MP Barnaby Joyce left the Nationals and joined One Nation, I understand that next week an announcement will be made that I suspect will be a list of other MPs changing sides.
It is correctly said that governments lose elections, oppositions rarely win elections.
Albanese Labor have in my opinion reached their peak and are crashing quickly, and the probability of national recession adding to the cost of living crisis and many other things that voters do not like will make for a very interesting 2028 election result.
In 2007 Rudd Labor won many new seats from the Howard Government, in 2010 with Gillard Labor all of those seats were lost and Labor were forced into an alliance with Greens and others minority government.
30
This is the strategy.
‘One Nation has confirmed it will contest every seat at the March SA election, potentially creating a nightmare scenario for the embattled Liberals, who could lose major party status.’ (Oz)
00
But will there be a reaction from both major parties similar to the German response to the “success” of the AfD?
00
The AEMO has really swallowed the Koolaid and gone for new Maths . In their latest Quarterly Report, after the land acknowledgement they trumpet “Renewables supplied more than 50% of quarterly NEM energy needs for the first time” however, if one goes through the maths, what they mean is coal has gone below 50% and WRE (euphemisms for the unreliable solar and wind, plus batteries) is about 25%. No mention of gas/ hydro making up the missing 25%. So is gas now a renewable or just the document writer didn’t understand the figures? https://www.aemo.com.au/-/media/files/major-publications/qed/2025/qed-q4-2025.pdf?rev=b29ae0bd014c48f59a259009d246280f&sc_lang=en
190
2 + 2 = 50%
Even numbers are free & renewable [for a price].
30
What about odd ones?
30
They’re Greens
50
Going into the AEMO Fuel Mix dashboard (which is Oct to January) gets 42% black coal, 14% brown coal with wind/solar as 32% and battery less than 1%. January appears comparable to the preceding two months and the year’s data. I cannot see any significant period where coal <50% unless they added in the behind the meter solar.
100
Try searching for Monday Jan 26 around midnight. Very hot night and people wanted their air conditioners.
Unfortunately there was very little wind, no solar and batteries, big and small, were out of reserves. Gas/diesel use was at maximum.
To complicate matters Victoria could supply some brown coal electricity only because NSW (cooler, not heat wave) could supply Vic.
And SA has an election on-going so the major parties won’t mention this. No wonder they are both down in polling. And that is before the electricity bills hit the public.
110
You forgot the rooftops. They get counted in the total demand.
Q4 2025 demand was 54TWh and 27.6TWh was supplied from “renewables” that include hydro and rooftop solar.
Australia is quite capable of achieving NetZero but at the cost of all heavy industry, energy intensive manufacturing and probably large data centres.
I will not be buying an EV anytime soon. But anyone wanting to help crash the grid could do that. Next chance will likely be June this year unless we get another warm spell in the next few weeks.
The grid is now in a bind with either too little base demand or too much peak demand. Can be solved with a lot more battery capacity at astronomic cost. Or a new lignite fired power station at much lower cost but that will not happen unless One Nation get in power.
100
Chris,
Let’s PROVE how effective these “renewables” are.
Open the inter-connectors (So no power can flow either in OR out)
between South Australia and other states for a month.
That should give Australia enough time to fathom out whether “renewables”
are an effective means of powering a state.
Of course, they could always install one of the most reliable
“batteries” around, a couple of COAL fired Power Stations.
Look at ALL that energy stored in each lump of COAL.
60
Why is it electrical engineers think you have to open something to close it? Its a good thing they aren’t in charge of the roads..
“Open the inter-connectors (So no power can flow either in OR out)”
10
Context is everything they say
00
Oh dear.
You do not “open to close”.
My brother, NOT an electrical engineer, warned me about you.
Right from when the generator is connected to the electrical system (the grid) you close
the circuit BREAKER to complete the connection and allow power from the generator to get to
where it has to go. To break the circuit, you guessed it, you have to OPEN the circuit breaker
(the connection to the grid).
And what you have, somewhere that MAY be near the border, is a circuit breaker (the interconnector) that is closed on to connect two circuits. This is a delicate operation as everything must be matched (frequency and phases) so adverse things do not happen. To break the supply the circuit breaker MUST be OPENED to disconnect both power systems.
SO, it is not just “electrical engineers”.
Most people that have worked in power stations are right up with this as well.
10
Based on Installed Capacity or AEMO Capacity Factor which for wind turbines intermittent supply is 30-35% of Installed Capacity on average?
00
That’s still a wrong figure for the actual wind CF, as Anton/Tony, Paul etc have pointed out. Think their latest figure was 29% and reducing,
10
Will it be disallowed? https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Bills_Legislation/Disallowance_alert

A v. scary part – lack of trust in the system could have a material effect on its operation. so telling you about a breach, nah, not really necessary….
4A.2 Notifying affected individuals of incidents
(1) This rule applies if a cyber security incident or a digital ID fraud incident occurs, or is reasonably suspected of having occurred, in relation to an accredited service provided by an entity to which this Chapter applies within the Australian Government Digital ID System.
(2) The entity must make reasonable attempts to notify each individual affected by the incident.
(3) Subrule (2) does not apply if the entity is satisfied that:
(a) there is a likelihood of the individual suffering an adverse outcome as a result of the entity attempting to notify the individual of the incident; or
(b) notifying the individual will, or could reasonably be expected to, have a material effect on the operation of the Australian Government Digital ID System.

I doubt they are in too much trouble, and in general terms will whatever is around, including us.
On the broader logic , I never get this idea that every species will live forever. Its the same sort of arrogance as thinking we control the climate. Doing practical things that give the animal world space to live I happily support, but nebulous stuff like drawing long bows to AGW, not so much.

Senator Pauline Hansone is really our only hope of getting a conservative Federal or State Government into power in Australia but to do that One Nation needs to run not only a full complement of Senate candidates but House of Reps as well. And they need to recruit any of the few remaining non-woke members of the former Liberal and National coalition.
It’s One Nation or No Nation.
Incidentally I think one of the main purposes of the new Lib/Lab censorship laws in Australia was to specifically target members of One Nation or other conservative parties like UAP with false accusations of “hate” (which only effectively require “hurt feelings” on the part of the alleged aggrieved “victim”) just because One Nation believes in traditional conservative and Australian values. E.g. quoting Senator Babet “Strong borders, traditional Australian values, a homogeneous well run society, merit, limited government, free enterprise, free speech and national pride.”
I have no doubt that the Lib/Labs will try to throw conservative party politicians like Babet and Hanson into jail, or at least create endless lawfare against them.
And there is no shortage of “offended” people they can find to lodge a false complaint. Just about every Leftist and every member of Labor’s preferred demographic is perpetually offended by something, especially alternative opinions not in accordance with the Official Narrative.
Apart from that, the effect of the new laws has a chilling effect on political and all other discourse. For example it is no longer safe for regular people, local politicians or visitors to discuss terrorist ideology or the religious motivation behind it. Just a few days ago for example Tony Burke cancelled the visa of yet another Jewish Israeli, Sammy Yahood, just hours before he boarded the plane. He is critical of terrorist ideology, although we don’t know what he was going to talk about here because we’ll never hear him speak at numerous booked events that had been arranged. (You can see the hateful glee in Burke’s eyes every time he cancels the visa of another Jewish Israeli or other conservative.)
Of all the very bad legislation that Australian Governments have passed in recent years, this will turn out to be by far the worst, and it’s up against some very tough competition such as the anti-energy legislation.
170
And never forget, thankfully the National Party voted against it.
The only major party with a moral compass that still works.
40
The thing is, will One Nation be the tail that wags the dog, or will they become the dog.
00
“I have no doubt that the Lib/Labs will try to throw conservative party politicians like Babet and Hanson into jail, or at least create endless lawfare against them.”
No, I think its become too public already, they would find the people would say “I agree with what they said, I am Babet or Hanson”.
However, while mainstream journos will never say anything Labor don’t like, its easy picking on some influential web opinionators and wiping them out.
20
The history is that One Nation was in breach of State of Queensland Electoral Commission rules and regulations and the QEC referred two One Nation people to Queensland Police, one being Pauline Hanson. Police after investigation referred to matter to a Queensland Court of Law and the judgement was that the two defendants were guilty as charged, and gaol sentences and an order to repay monies to the QEC was issued.
On appeal at a later date the Court decided gaol was not fair or reasonable and released the prisoners, but the Court Order to repay the money was upheld.
The Queensland Labor Government at that time had oversight responsibility.
The Howard Coalition and Minister Abbott involvement was limited to organising funding for legal support for the whistleblower who revealed the situation to the QEC.

I have mentioned before the superb 1970 sci-fi movie Colossus: The Forbin Project. I am often horrified when I hear of sci-fi aficionados that haven’t heard of it or seen it.
It’s about a rogue AI and with the development of LLM’s in the present and AGI (artificial general intelligence) within maybe ten years it is highly prescient.
Here is an interesting presentation about unknown facts about the background and making of this movie.
https://youtu.be/lmIgq1Jn_vE

Wait until you see what’s happening behind the curtains.
00
You keep hinting at this but won’t say what it is…
10
It’s group-think.
00
“Speak less than you know, have more than you show.”
Some sources require non disclosure on my part.
But as I have said, LLM’s and fake AI are just toys in comparison.
01
‘You keep hinting at this but won’t say what it is…’
Ah yes, ‘he who speaks does not know, he who knows does not speak.’ Lao Tzu
30
Leftists don’t typically have a concept of objective truth, they subscribe to post-modernism which posits no objective truth, just individual interpretations of the truth, that’s why they always say things like “my truth” or “your truth”, not THE truth. And that’s why they are so willing to lie about or distort objective truth.
And the Left have now taken over just about all institutions, public and private (Rudi Dutschke’s 1967 “long march”) and they have taken over one of the most influential ones, which is used as the basis of much AI training and general learning for children and adults, Wikipedia. (It wasn’t banned for children in Australia, presumably because it’s in conformity with the Official Narrative and Government objectives.)
So here is former the CEO of Wikipedia (now CEO of NPR) saying that truth doesn’t matter where it interferes with their objectives.
The video at the link is under 2 mins and truly disturbing.
110
Agreed, people choose their own truths:
Stolen elections
Global climate science conspiracies
Global Leftist/woke conspiracies
Religion
310
Increasing natural disasters
Unprecedented sea level rise
Starving polar bears
Ice caps disappearing by 2015
The giant CO2 knob in the sky
“Renewables” downward pressure on energy costs
Tidal power generation
The ACT , Coles, Woolies and Aldi running on “100% renewable energy”
Yep lots of them
150
It should be considered false advertising for a commercial organisation or a Government entity like ACT or Victoriastan trams to claim they are running on 100% renewable energy if they still use grid power. Offset arrangements are just dishonest accounting exercises.
100% renewables means disconnected from the grid with battery backups, perhaps with leased lines or line capacity directly to the solar, wind or battery plantations.
For these woke organisations falsely claiming to be on “100% renewables” when actually they rely mostly on coal generation, reinforces the lie that large organisations or indeed the entire country can run on “renewables”.
If someone had a lazy few million dollars they could challenge those claims in court.
80
It would be of great value to get access to those 100% renewables organisations’ schedules showing individual purchase contracts with the so-called “renewable” generators, and see if they actually do add up to 100%.
I suspect they don’t. (Maths is not a subject the progressive fascists care for).
20
During a Sky interview recently about intermittent energy installations the researcher interviewed pointed out that Federal Government expenditure on subsidies and other expenses are accounted for off budget, meaning not published for general viewing
20
Yarp, my examples are the hit list here, with no evidence.
Your’s are also without evidence.
14
I have 61 pages of failed climate predictions, with full details of exactly where and when they first appeared in print. Which one shall we discuss first? What about the “starving polar bears”? The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service released a report in 2017, claiming that if action wasn’t taken soon, the Arctic bears could be in serious risk of extinction. This was covered by the papers, including New York Times 9 Jan 2017. But the actual polar bear numbers increased from a 20,000-25,000 estimate in 2005 to a 22,000-31,000 estimate in 2015, and continue to increase in numbers. As for the fake polar bear photo, Science admitted that it was a fake in 7 March 2010. And National Geographic admitted they were wrong about the bears in July 2017.
40
Now, the statement in 2015 that ice caps would disappear. Yes, the NASA study was reported by CNN on 17 May 2025. NASA itself reported this on 14 May 2015.
As for SLR, there have been many false reports. The BBC reported on 28 May 2004 that the Maldives would be destroyed by SLR and become uninhabitable in 100 years. Strangely, this hasn’t stopped the locals from building new resorts and airports.
And in 1981, James Hansen predicted that SLR would rise by 15 to 20 feet.
And as even the IPCC data has shown, globally natural disasters haven’t increased, they have decreased. If you cannot locate the exact IPCC data, I’m sure folks here could provide the correct links, as they seem to know a lot about these subjects.
20
Good Heavens!
Loss of arctic ice was predicted in 1922/23 by assorted scientists as likely to occur within 30 years.
Indeed (from memory) The New Scientist claimed it was rapidly going in 1959.
10
Ah, the many failed Arctic ice prediction, usually due to Peter Wadhams. He predicted in September 2012 that Arctic sea ice would be gone within four years. Then in July 2013, he predicted that the Arctic would be ice-free in two years. The U.S. Navy also predicted in 2013 that in the northern summers, the Arctic would be ice-free by 2016.
And Seth Borenstein in December 2007 said that Arctic sea ice would be gone within five years.
And let’s not forget Flannery, who on 26 October 2006 predicted that there would be no Arctic ice cap in the next five to 15 years.
40
I’m an old phart, still living in the town I sailed, fished, swam, rode my bike around 70 yrs ago.
NOTHING IS WORSE.
The house we lived in was only a few inches above the highest tides, Dad even filled the back yard with cinders from the power station to keep it dry. It is still above high tide. The sand on the main beach looks a metre higher than it was then. No house has had a roof blown off since Althea, over 50 yrs ago. I could go on.
There are a LOT of folks here should shut down their puter and go outside to enjoy this great land.
30
Oh, the arctic ice cap is gone now, who knew?
30
‘Your’s are also without evidence.’
There is strong circumstantial evidence and the failed predictions are not a good look, so it seems from observation that CO2 is unrelated to global warming hysteria.
10
Arrhenius model debunked.
https://notrickszone.com/2026/01/30/130-years-later-the-co2-greenhouse-effect-is-still-only-an-imaginary-world-thought-experiment/
00
I believe that Arrhenius’ experiment should be regarded as a lab experiment and not truly representative of what happens in the atmosphere.
10
What a strange country we inhabit! It’s apparently OK for the Federal government to approve the acceptance of 1,800 or so refugees from Gaza, following questionable vetting, a figure unmatched by any other nation on this planet, and to welcome back women who chose to marry terrorists, while at the same time denying short visits from four Jewish speakers. Minister Tony, you are a right Burke! Please advise which country ranks second in the Gaza refugee intakes, and how many that country approved? Anybody? Crickets… It is reminiscent of the numbers of Palestinians exchanged for each Israeli hostage, usually of the order of a thousand-to-one or-two. This is fair and equitable treatment? Give me a break! Burke and Bowen start with the letter “b”. So does “blithering”!
220
Although nearly 3000 visa were granted, presumably more to come.
110
What amazes me is they bring terrorists into the country yet they ban conservative Christian speakers, the latest of which was Candace Owens. Actually what amazes me is that Australians just yawn and look the other way.
190
Nothing Christian about her lies
211
You’re half right Ponzi. Christians say thou shalt not lie, (but there are Christian lies).
But please share, what are the specific lies you’re alleging here?
30
Antisemitism
Moon landing conspiracy
Macron’s wife
47
Antisemitism nope. AntiZionism yes definitely.
She is not against the religion or against the people.
She enjoys Jewish friends.
She is against the radical political movement as are many Jewish people.
Half my father’s family were killed by the NSDAP, but even though we are members of a Jewish community we are anti-Zionist same as Candace.
Her moon landing views I’m not familiar with but lies is too strong a word for that level of skepticism. More a matter of opinion, mistaken opinion or misguided opinion.
Macron’s wife. If you have evidence then trot it out. Candace and the French people like Xavier Poussard who did the research and wrote the book, have provided their evidence but the Macrons refuse to provide any evidence in their defence. So again, as things currently stand, a matter of opinion.
Not yet a lie.
52
The moon landing bs is close to the flat earthers.
The Macrons are suing her for her repeated slurs
The antisemitism is on record
62
>…is on record
Oh really? But conveniently you don’t say where.
Ok, so no lies, just deluded BS and slurs?
I’m surprised you don’t call out her religious beliefs as equally deluded BS.
20
Meh
Christians are human, and humans lie for all kinds of reasons.
Plus, I’m not sure Candace believes she is lying. People who steep themselves in conspiratorial mindset for years on end eventually begin to lose their grip on reality, and Candace has been swimming in conspiracy theories for years. I enjoy my fair share of dabbling in conspiracy theories, but I try to do it in small doses and accept that maybe, just maybe, I’m wrong and the conspiracy angle is bullpoop. Candace has no governor on her conspiracy engine. She’s indulging in conspiracy theories is how she earns her living and she’s dead certain she is right. I think it has rotted her brain.
That said, she’s got a right to believe what she believes and share her opinions with whoever she wants. A government infringing on her freedom of movement because they don’t like her opinions is lame. A lot of Christians didn’t like Christopher Hitchens or Richard Dawkins opinions, but that doesn’t mean it would be OK to ban them from entry. That’s the kind of crap Islamic theocracies do (Salman Rushdie), and not something western countries should emulate.
41
Most people are too busy leading their lives , they dont care much about Palestinians or Christians or Conservatives etc. I doubt it even reaches the level of background noise to most people just trying to make a living.
60
I think you are right but “green” often sneaks under the bullet-proof vest, like Cupid’s arrows.
20
Oh but look at Spain.
Spain grants legal status to 500,000 undocumented migrants under Royal Decree January 27, 2026
Elma Saiz, Minister for Inclusion, Social Security, and Migration, called it a “historic day,” saying: “We are strengthening a migratory model based on human rights, on integration and on coexistence that is compatible with both economic growth and social cohesion.”
https://www.visaverge.com/news/spain-grants-legal-status-to-500000-undocumented-migrants-under-royal-decree-january-27-2026/
Spain used to a retirement haven and rightly so.
Now it’s a taxation, regulatory and gimmigrant hole.
Best of luck with “social cohesion”.

They’ve forgotten about Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar and also the Reconquista?

Do upstanding members of society spit and swear at law enforcement authorities and damage their property whilst packing a gun?

Despite 97% of NSW being under a yellow ⚠️ ‘low-intensity heatwave’ according to your high priests of mumbo, Australia-wide temps today are fairly ho-hum standard for this time of year… but just you wait til Sunday the 1st of February:
Melburnistan 20 C
Hobart 17 C with snow to 900 metres
Adelaide 25 C
Sydney 30 C (before the cool change)
Perth 37 C (change? what change!).
Your summer snow storm will then arrive on NZ’s mountains that night and the next day, Monday 2 February, snow is forecast to fall the length of our Southern Alps – not a YUGE amount yet it’s great to see our ‘climate’ is doing what it’s always done and always will, even in summer. Then again, the models could be 97% bung.

Talking of bung –
Prepare for the climate! You too can now join the Climate Club – little black caps with mouse ears optional – reports Kirsty, a young green ‘investigative journalist’ who merely repeats what she’s (?) been told, via our State brainwasher:

“Experts [sic] say the bill will only continue to rise as climate change [sic] worsens…
“‘You end up paying six [6] times more’, says Emily Mabin Sutton, chief executive of the Climate Club, a group that organises climate action [sick]”.
There we go again, six (6), pronounced sux here and sex there, 666, the official stamp of hysteria.

Seriously, there’s that much hype about the weather these days, particularly from the MSM. I’ve also got 6 app to check everything weather related, plus 2 emergency apps for bushfires etc. I’ve now got bushfire.io, which is heaps better than the state emergency apps. Works all over the world and provides real up to date info in a very quick glance. But I think mostly I would be just better off waking up in the morning, sticking my head out the window and making my own judgement.

The rather annoying term “lived experience” as opposed to just “experience” seems to be a term commonly used by wokesters and especially in Australia.
Here is the Google trends overview of worldwide usage.
Apart from seemingly inexplicable massive use in Philippines, Australia has the second highest rate of use, 2004-present.
https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=all&q=Lived%20experience&hl=en
10
I’d say the death experience is more important, when your lived experience gets added up and is found wanting. Often found in drugs or high speeds.
Lived experience is just the experience of checking everyone else’s experiences on things like TikTok or Youtube, something that occupies the lower half of the IQ scale these days. They get the experience, you get the lived experience of watching it.
20
“Lived experience” seems to be trotted out most frequently by those who don’t have much of it. Then you have the conundrum of deciding when “lived experience” becomes outdated knowledge and outmoded thinking.
40
It’s like “I personally think” as opposed to “I think”.

New York set new daily snowfall record:
Central Park saw 11.4 inches of snow in Sunday’s storm, the most ever recorded on Jan. 25. Record snow totals also hit the three major airports; Islip, Long Island; Newark, New Jersey; and Bridgeport, Connecticut.

And going back to the last ice, that park in New York was under an ice field almost a mile deep.

“Where did the water go?”
“I was interested (and somewhat amused) to read that the biggest reforestation project in the world has had some – wait for it – unintended consequences. Say it ain’t so!
China’s massive tree-planting push has long been hailed as a climate win. But new research shows the country’s ambitious effort to slow land degradation, and fight climate change, has also reshaped its water supply in surprising, and sometimes uneven, ways.
When China dramatically expanded forests and restored grasslands under its “Great Green Wall” initiative, it didn’t just change what the land looked like, it changed how water moves between the ground and the atmosphere.”

Trees can also mess with the water table levels, especially our Eucalypts which are high transoirers. If Zhang Youxia’s “death-bed” letter is fair dinkum, the world is worse off for his passing. [Are those rumours true?] He, at least, did not believe soldiers’ lives should be wasted in a frontal attack on Taiwan.
Lai’s real talk (30 mins) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95AyrNmoEYg

It’s a conundrum, this affair. On the one hand, many are saying Xi will now attack Taiwan, on the basis that Youxia was against it. On the other hand, Youxia is/was allegedly the only senior military man with actual combat experience, leaving only “court eunuchs” now in charge.
If true, perhaps invasion is more likely but China’s generals are of relatively poor quality and experience. I don’t know what to make of that, especially as the Taiwanese won’t be alone in any such war because various neighbours have vowed to support them, most notably Japan.

China conducts mRNA Influenza bird flu vaccine trials in dairy cows
Chinese government–funded researchers have confirmed that they tested an mRNA bird flu vaccine in lactating dairy cows, injecting milk-producing livestock with an mRNA–lipid nanoparticle formulation and then deliberately exposing the animals to live H5N1 influenza virus inside high-containment laboratories.
The experiment signals that governments are actively preparing mRNA platforms for potential large-scale use in livestock populations, extending mRNA deployment beyond humans and into the food supply.

Canada builds live SARS-CoV-2 viruses from computer code alone that ‘Can be used for Gain-of-Function research’
Coming in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic—which killed millions of people worldwide and was linked by multiple intelligence agencies to laboratory research—the study raises national security concerns about the ability of government-funded institutions to create replication-competent pandemic viruses from digital sequence data alone, using commercial infrastructure with limited public oversight.
In light of these capabilities, the study also raises the possibility that governments could define, simulate, and respond to a biological threat almost entirely within digital and laboratory frameworks—leaving the public reliant on official interpretation rather than independently observable evidence.

Nothing in that video detracts from the space alien theory.
In fact having the same idea pop up in various parts of the world more or less simultaneously strengthens the space alien theory. The actual construction technique was implanted in ancient humans by one of the gods on an inspection tour a long time ago from a galaxy far far away.
And to save time the space aliens spent a couple of days building a sample or two to demonstrate to the ancient humans how it all works. From there the humans gradually lost skill and the pyramids got less and less perfect.
You know it makes sense. Now I’m about to receive a transmission. where’s my tin foil hat?

Google shuts down massive proxy network hijacking home internet
Google’s Threat Intelligence Group (GTIG) dismantles key infrastructure behind one of the world’s largest residential proxy operations – exposing a shadowy ecosystem that turns everyday consumer devices into tools for cybercrime and espionage.
The operation centers around a network known as IPIDEA, which Google says secretly controls multiple “independent” proxy and VPN brands that market themselves as legitimate services.
In reality, the GTIG research found many of these brands were operated by the same bad actors and used deceptive tactics to quietly collect residential IP addresses from unsuspecting users.

Apparently many German cities have banned the use of salt to de-ice pavements.
To “save the planet”.
Also, in Germany, it’s apparently the responsibility of a property owner to keep the pavement outside their house ice-free.

Yes, that footpath responsibility amazed me when living in Germany. Used to see the good folks out there shovelling snow off their footpaths after heavy falls. There seemed to be a lot of unwritten “laws” to life in Germany. For example, not a good idea to have too many BBQs a year, as the smoke may annoy the neighbours. And when approaching a cashier desk in a store, always line up in the right-hand side. Still, loved my time over there, and have always enjoyed going back.

Funny. I’m well out of danger. Apart from driving through that Geelong intersection approx once a week.
But not sure the age of the people or a bullet are the important factors. It’s likely more that breaking the law and in a manner endangering law enforcement officers that is the common thread in each case.

They say even a broken clock is right twice a day, except the DOOMSDAY CLOCK is never right.
Apparently all the shenanigans going on in the world, read as Trump, et.al, has resulted in the Doomsday clocks second hand being pushed even closer to midnight. It was only about six months ago they moved it closer, and now they have moved it again. So what will they do when they get to 1 second to midnight?
