Governments worldwide are broke and anyone who doesn’t know that by now must be Amish.
They NEED digital ID’s before SHTF day in an attempt to control the masses when it all goes boom.
Better the masses fight each other than drag the pollies out into the streets and errr…give them a stern talking to.😁

UK to introduce pay per mile on EV’s

    https://dailysceptic.org/2025/11/06/reeves-to-hit-evs-with-250-pay-per-mile-tax/

Not before time, but its far too low. To stop EV drivers continuing to free load off other drivers they need to pay a equivalent fuel tax of around ÂŁ1200 per year.

The high cost of charging EV’s commercially will likely prove prohibitive

    https://notalotofpeopleknowthat.wordpress.com/2025/11/07/ev-driving-will-be-unaffordable-for-those-without-off-street-parking/#more-89399

6 charging units have been placed in a car park near us. It is rare to see a car at them, as yet. The commercial price for charging is quite high. Around half of all UK homes don’t have a driveway so will have to rely on a third party system to get charged as they won’t be able to do it in their own driveways.

This cost, together with the proposed EV mileage tax will add considerably to the cost of driving an EV although at present there is still a grant of up to ÂŁ3500 for those wanting to buy a new vehicle..

Given the increasing rate of EV/battery spontaneous ignitions I’m concerned about charging stations in enclosed public parking areas. One of our local Councils has installed two such units on the ground floor immediately adjacent to the main and only point of access. The Council, Mayored by a 35 year old college graduate, is unmoved by my observations except to erect a “Enter at your own risk” sign that would cause mayhem if every prospective parker stopped to read it.

Qantas business class lounge in chaos as passenger catches fire when carry-on item explodes in his pocket

A Qantas passenger’s power bank ‘exploded’ – The man, 50, suffered burns to his leg and fingers

Screams rang out from a Qantas International Business Lounge on Thursday after a man was set alight by a faulty power bank that exploded in his pocket.

The lithium battery device ignited in the trousers of a 50-year-old man as he sat in the Melbourne Qantas Lounge about 11am.

Roughly 150 passengers were forced to evacuate the lounge while staff helped the man throw the blazing device on the floor and rushed him into a shower.

One traveller said they ‘heard screaming from the other side of the lounge’ as the device sent out sparks and ‘battery acid flying everywhere’, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

‘His jacket caught on fire. They evacuated us because the smoke and smell was so strong, but I really just hope the guy is okay,’ they said.

Another wrote online: ‘Quick thinking from the man who jumped in to help and the staff who got him in the shower and everyone else out of the lounge.’

A photo shared on social media showed the burnt remnants of the power bank’s husk surrounded by several warning signs inside the lounge.

The man was treated for significant burns he suffered to his leg and fingers.

Paramedics treated the business passenger at the airport before taking him to The Alfred hospital in a stable condition.

Qantas said it will review its lithium battery policies following the incident.

I am no legal expert, but my reading of the Act is that The Australian Centre for Disease Control (CDC) will have a Director-General with absolute power. The CDC consists of a Director-General, with staff whose function is “to assist the Director‑General in the performance of the Director‑General’s functions and duties and the exercise of the Director‑General’s powers” (clause 9). The Director-General “must have regard to” all sorts of things, like “the need for public trust” and “the need for transparency” (clause 12) but this “does not create rights or duties that are enforceable by proceedings in a court or tribunal” and “A failure to comply [] does not affect the validity of anything done in the performance of the Director‑General’s functions, and is not a ground for the review or challenge of any decision.”, ie, the Director-General is above the law. On top of that, the Director-General may “enter into an arrangement with any [] foreign government body [,] international organisation [or] international partnership”. The Director-General is appointed by the minister, not by parliament.

It looks like the intention is to create a body which will do the bidding of the WHO, or whatever other international body that the minister wishes, and no Australian has any legal protection. The Act explicitly states (clause 12) that “the impacts of risks to public health, and the impacts of responses to risks to public health, on particular communities and population groups” are “not a ground for the review or challenge of any decision” and of course, there can be no court action.

I expect One Nation to vote against it. Will the others???
[edit] It seems the Act has already passed and is exempt from FOIA. We are in deep doodoo.

The performance of the CDC in the US was there for all to see. Yet there was precious few comments in the public space opposing the creation of such a body here.

We appear to have learned nothing from the COVID-19 / Covid vax fiasco.

    NYC will provide some entertainment.
I imagine law enforcement will degrade further than it already has.
A boon to the private security business.
The wealthy neighborhoods will hire mercenaries.
The poor ones will have to form militias.
At least those not already run by criminal gangs.
(In my Democrat controlled city, elected officials refer to criminal gangs as “street organizations”.)

NY State will make it illegal for local hired security to be armed.
And require security guards to be licensed therapists.
People will be protected by violent words.

We’ve all contributed to the uptake of solar panels even though we haven’t installed or even want them! The labor Government has inundated the country with solar/wind generators and aided errant millionaires to buy then prematurely demolish coal fired generation to the point that it will be impossible to reverse the transition.

I’m guessing these actual figures show up the total folly of this latest free electricity for 3-hours brain-f4rt from Bowen. The 3-hr daily consolidation gives kWh from supplier/cost to me followed by kWh generated by panels/feed in credit at the QLD govt legislated (.44c till 1 July 2028) plus supplier 4c:

Well, the war in Europe is obviously over, not a mention of Ukraine in the SMH. However they are keen to slag off Musk’s AI compared to Wikipedia, as expected. There is more insulting Musk in the article than arguing over Grok.

“Consider George Floyd, whose 2020 murder sparked global protests. Wikipedia describes him as “an African American man who was murdered by a white police officer”, centring the incident that made him historically significant. Grokipedia opens by emphasising Floyd’s “lengthy criminal record, including convictions for armed robbery, drug possession and theft”. It doesn’t mention his murder until the fourth sentence.”

..and apparently that is enough to make it –

“On politically charged topics, the platform injects far-right talking points and conspiracy theories, presenting them as objective truth.”

So, as usual, you pick the propaganda you’re happy with an believe that. I read the SMH but wouldn’t believe a word of it!

“auline Hanson’s One Nation Party is described as having “the aim of prioritising Australian interests amid concerns over immigration, economic globalisation, and national sovereignty”, compared to Wikipedia, which says “One Nation’s policies and platform on mass immigration have been characterised as racist and xenophobic by critics.””

Just asked DDG this is the answer it’s AI gave me.

Chinese space docking hatches are not currently compatible with SpaceX systems, as they use different docking mechanisms. However, China’s next-generation crew spacecraft is designed to be compatible with the International Docking System Standard, which is used by SpaceX and other international partners.

So there we have it, apparently Space X would be of no help.

Why do they need to be compatible?

Australia’s form slump will lead to slide in living standards

When you get whacked 47% tax in every dollar after $190k it isn’t worth trying too hard.

    Reply

+2% Medicare Levy from Dollar Zero – so really 49% Tax in every dollar after $190K and 2% of that is every Dollar earnt from Zero

    Why?

Because If you earn between $27,222 and $34,027 the Medicare levy phases in at 10 cents for each dollar above $27,222. Once you earn $34,027 you pay a 2% Medicare Levy

Which turns out you pay 2% of your Taxable Income starting at Zero

American Heart Association sounds alarm: ‘COVID mRNA vaccine trains immune system to attack heart’

Researchers from Queen Mary University of London, Landspitali University Hospital in Iceland, and several European institutions found that people who developed acute myocarditis or pericarditis after mRNA vaccination showed a distinct pattern of immune activation not seen in COVID-19 patients.

The paper, titled “Combined Adaptive Immune Mechanisms Mediate Cardiac Injury After COVID-19 Vaccination,”reveals that T-cells from vaccine-injured patients began attacking the body’s own heart proteins because parts of the vaccine-encoded Spike protein closely mimic human cardiac tissue.

ID verification laws are fueling the next wave of breaches

The cybersecurity community has long lived by a simple principle: Don’t collect more data than you can protect. But ID laws and other legal mandates now force many organizations to store massive amounts of sensitive data, putting them in the precarious situation of dealing with information they don’t necessarily want but have to safeguard.

The recent data breach involving Discord illustrates this challenge. In early October 2025, the messaging and gaming platform disclosed that cyberattackers had compromised one of its third-party customer service providers, accessing personal information from users who had contacted Discord’s Customer Support or Trust and Safety teams.

While the breach included typical support ticket data, including names, email addresses, IP addresses, limited billing information and customer service messages, one category of stolen data stood out: government-issued identification documents.

    https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/id-verification-laws-are-fueling-the-next-wave-of-breaches/

You don’t even need to hack the govt, just anyone requiring proof of ID, like Farcebook, telco’s, insurance co’s, car dealers, hire companies etc etc.
    How much is securely encrypted?
    Not much! 😆

After 3 years of almost daily service, the Deebot Vacuum cleaner started going in circles and then shutdown. Problem was quickly determined to be a drive motor because there were lots of YouTube videos on replacing them and Amazon has new drive motors delivered on the day you order.

Not the simplest thing to replace. About 20 screws of various sizes that require at least two different size screwdrivers. Lots of clips and miniature plugs/sockets as well as miniature switches. If you remember to plug in the LIDAR plugs it all works like it should after a couple of hours of tedious effort.

What surprised me is that the drive motors have brushes that are bound to wear. We got about 2000 hours before it started faulting and eventually not able to run.

But prices have come down a lot from three years ago so probably better value now. I expect they are all made in China. And I prefer to do other things than sweep floors as does my wife. I will be looking for one with brushless motors if we get another.

As Lidar equipped Drones are more widely deployed the discoveries of ancient structures has increased so quickly that excavations are decades behind available resources.

I have been discussing these structures with building and construction industry qualified people and one who has been fascinated by what was achieved as compared to what we can achieve today and apparently with very basic tools and measuring instruments. But were they as basic as we believe today?

And technology, the Romans had self repairing concrete or mortar to hold bricks and stones together that when inevitably cracks develop moisture causes a chemical reaction that repairs the cracks. The chemical composition of the material has of course been studied and worked out but to date not the mixing method and other information.

How did the Aztecs move large stones hundreds of kilometres from valleys to mountain tops, for example. All they had were narrow tracks not roads.

Are we as technologically advanced as we like to believe that we are? In many ways yes but in many ways I think not.

So you want a “no-carbon” electrical energy source?

Well, that’s really not very smart on-balance simply because petroleum is much more than just fuel. Its literally in everything that makes for modern civilization and whether you like it or not the refining process produces a lot of usable fuel you have to do something with. Rather obviously throwing it on the ground is both polluting and dumb, as are all the other alternatives than burning it to produce usable work. This, incidentally, is the flaw in all of the people arguing that “we must” or “we should” in that regard; unless you’d like to live in a world with no IV bags, no syringes in hospitals, no other plastics (look around you for what that means you don’t have; you’ll rapidly discover this means even the simplest things, like weatherstripping on your windows, no longer exist) and more.

In other words civilization in the modern sense depends on petroleum so the “no more oil” position means no civilization. You might not like this fact but it is a fact.”

100-year-old D-Day vet condemns the Britain he sees today: ‘The sacrifice wasn’t worth the result’

Alec Penstone, a 100-year-old Royal Navy veteran who swept the seas for mines during the D-Day landings, has issued a blistering indictment of modern Britain, saying flatly that winning the Second World War “wasn’t worth the result.” Appearing on “Good Morning Britain,” Penstone’s voice carried the weight of a century — and the heartbreak of a man who watched his comrades die for a freedom he now believes has been squandered.

“My message is,” Penstone told the hosts, “I can see in my mind’s eye those rows and rows of white stones — all the hundreds of my friends who gave their lives. For what? The country of today? No, I’m sorry, but the sacrifice wasn’t worth the result of what it is now.”

“No one knows quite how many Ukrainians remain in Mirnograd, but some estimate anywhere between 300-1000, though the Russian MOD still maintains that ~10,000 total troops are “surrounded” in both Pokrovsk and Kupyansk combined. ”

..and shade of the Yanks in Korea…We bombed the buildings to ruin, and if two bricks were standing one of top of the other, we bombed them again’..

          From a Ukie commentator-
“Ukrainian Speaker Romanenko said yesterday that all the factories in Ukraine that were capable of producing missiles have been destroyed or are in a state of disrepair. For example, the Luch Design Bureau produced cruise missiles: “You know what happened to the metro station, don’t you? I won’t tell you where it is, but everyone knows.” All the factories and plants that could produce ballistic missiles have been completely destroyed. This includes Dnepropetrovsk and Pavlograd, where missiles and engines were produced. Everything is being destroyed, even the ruins.”

Looks like it might be another “chook feed” from the “usual official YSM sources”

    From https://accordingtohoyt.com/2025/11/07/learn-to-tell-psyops/

“A good way to detect a psyop from the left is that it’s everywhere at once and only one viewpoint is being pushed. From everywhere.”
