It seems that some of Australia’s judiciary are not on board with the rights of Hong Kong migrants

    https://www.conservativewoman.co.uk/hypocrisy-of-australias-rent-a-judges/

Which beggars the question that as AI would seem to be able to easily learn case law and make complex judgements could they replace judges?

Trouble is, would Judge AI be loaded with woke judges prejudices or would the information they absorb be unbiased?

And right at No 3 HISTORYIANS, you will get the history we want you to believe, just like Victorians are going to get a permanent “truth telling” body composed of local indigenous people, who, to start with the “first” truth are nearly all more than 50% non indigenous. Won’t history be grand when it can mean anything to any one instead of just the facts!

There will always be jobs for nappy changers for the elderly and very young.

My middle son worked a the dementia ward associated with a large hospital. Such places give insight into the challenges posed by an ageing population. They are labour intensive and hard to imagine how AI can help with productivity in that case.

It’s a computer program, so just remember, garbage in = garbage out!

AI is being marketed as an infallible final solution to all problems that should never be questioned. It is indeed an advancement of mankind’s ingenuity but it will end up being used against mankind in many contentious areas.

Many will treat it as being above question simply because they believe that the majority of the population will accept its output as gospel truth because a machine could simply not be biased purposely lie or make mistakes.

It will lay output information that is fed into it. BEWARE!

AI in its current form is nothing more than wikipedia on steroids – biased input = biased output.
Relying on it for honest and unbiased responses is foolish and dangerous.

Problem is all companies are resorting to Chat Bots which are useless rather than Humans

I was chasing The Australian yesterday, as they started pop-up “You are Using Ad Blocker please turn off”

Initially just hit “Continuing without Supporting” then evolved to blocking and not allowing to go past the page

My Wife had initially been driven mad by Ads either side of The Australian Articles, and I blocked it for her & myself.

I tried the Australian Chatbot, which was useless & finally said, I want a Human, and the Chat Bot cut across to one

After a lengthy period of trail & error, although already Logged In, had to log in again, turn off Ad Blocker Extension on Safari, restart and then turn on Ad Blocker on Safari

It worked for a little while, then the Pop-up came back & it went onto Lock Mode

I had worked out another solution on a different Browser, but if it happens on that Browser, than I will contact The Australian
and cancel my $32 per month Subscription

Annoying, as only paper in Australia giving balance, but cannot cope with the distraction of Ads on both sides of The Australian Articles

Actually it’s good value, as the comments on the climate articles are a way I believe to get through to the general public what a scam the whole climate change boondoggle is. And it does seem that at least folks who read The Australian are now much more educated on this issue.

Also, I would be interested in any rigmarole that you suffer to finally prevent that $32 per month from actually flowing from your account.

I now have several instances where I cannot stop outflows like this because the only solution offered by the bank is to cancel my debit card and get a new one, a quite involved process.
The bank refuses to accept my command about my money to stop dispensing it to the address given. They say that they cannot do that.

Ningaloo Reef has been bleaching since December and they claim its caused by a marine heatwave. The waters around Australia have been slightly warmer than usual. but I have little faith in the idea that this is a permanent fixture.

An occasional drop in sea level on the west coast might have caused the bleaching. This is purely speculative.

It must be galling for the pompous heads of State to kiss Daddy’s hand and beg for market access – I guess it is a reason for the EU to have a head of State. Sleezy has probably vowed to avoid the ignominy after being waved away at the G7.

Anyhow Australia’s little shuffle on US meat imports looks like it has been a key factor in keeping Australian tariffs into US at 10%. Trump clearly does not like Canada. They get 25% with prospect of 35%.

      30

Thankfully, it was announced today that Australia’s tariff from USA would stay at 10%.
A lady spokesperson for President Trump said on TV that the relaxation of ban on US beef coming to Australia probably helped avoid a higher tariff.
We have silence about whether US beef retains the capacity to spread expensive diseases to Australia livestock. I cannot see how a political decision would affect the biological threat.
Of course, the tactic is always open for Australia to place a tariff on Australian exports to the US. That tactic seems to be hushed up because it would mean that Australia did something that President Trump did. TDS runs deep in the socialist left.

And UK imports of gas have jumped while Ed Milliband is making it impossible to use North Sea gas. Imports are needed just to keep the lights on while the coal, oil and gas stays in the ground.
Precisely what is happening in Australia. No coal and no gas. You can only import. Supposedly that will save the planet?

Germany, France, the UK, Canada and Australia are going to recognize a Palestinian state without borders or government in September, rewarding Hamas for mass murder with international recognition. Although they say the Palestinian Authority will run this non existent state. Why?

Who is writing this script of self destruction? No energy, massive uncontrolled immigration, shutdown industry and reward Islamic terrorism? It seems to be an alliance against Donald Trump. I cannot see how the people of these countries are better off in any way.

The world extreme Left political cookbook is being written somewhere. It is completely disconnected from reality and the wishes of the bulk of the voters. The destruction of energy supplies, steelmaking, manufacturing, farming, transport in all these countries is not based on any science at all. Clearly, that was just an excuse and now they just don’t care.

Meanwhile Donald Trump is flabbergasted at the self flagellation of elected ‘Liberal’ leaders. So are all thinking people. France, Germany and the Commonwealth, taken over by loonies.

If you disagree with the plainly self destructive government, you are called Extreme Right. Who is dictating this insanity? Or have they all gone mad at once?

And then Pres. Trump should evict the UN from its HQ in New York, and sell that prime real estate to pay down some debt. It would only pay of a tiny amount of debt, of course, but worth it. And then the UN would have to spend a billion or so of its greatly reduced budget buying/building a new HQ, meaning it had less to spend on destroying the free people of the world.

UN is not necessarily subject to US Federal or State laws. The land is UN territory and governed by the UN. It mostly abides by US law and regulation but does not need to. Evicting the UN from its headquarters could be taken as an act of war against the UN. It would violate Section 9 of Treaty 147.

            Section 9
            (a) The headquarters district shall be inviolable. Federal, state or local officers or officials of the United States, whether administrative, judicial, military or police, shall not enter the headquarters district to perform any official duties therein except with the consent of and under conditions agreed to by the Secretary-General. The service of legal process, including the seizure of private property, may take place within the headquarters district only with the consent of and under conditions approved by the Secretary-General.

More evidence, as if any more was needed, of the Western elite’s continuing disconnect from reality.

        Honk,
Today I wrote this Letter to Ed of The Australian.
        “Dear Editor,
The recent Referendum about The Voice resulted in 60% of respondents rejecting the position that most Australian governments thought was popular.
We cannot have a Referendum about recognition of Palestine because our Constitution is not a direct player.
However, the Federal Government can conduct a Plebiscite to measure what the voters of our fine country wish for.
There are signs that they do not wish for the current popular choice by the Feds, which is to recognise Palestine as a State.
Besides, few of us as many-generation Aussies think that we should be taking sides in a war in far off Eastern Mediterranean places near to the other side of our planet.”

I expect to continue my recent record of ZERO letters accepted in the past 2 years. Geoff S

Recognition and creation of a “palestinian” state will not alter the mindset of those living there.
They will still hold the eradication of all Jews (then of Christians and all other “non-believers”) to be their reason for living, and will continue to pursue that goal. They are now, and will continue to be, raised from the cradle to believe that is vital and approved/mandated by their god.
      Nothing will change.

How to make something old new again! Every kid ( well boy ) I knew growing up in the country had ferrets. Not only to use as a source of tucker for the family, under ground mutton was a great feed at our house, but a source of income for many kids. Dressed rabbits could be sold for 1 shilling a pair, The skins could be dried on a wire frame and when you had enough dad would take them to the dealer and get about 3d ( that’s 3 pence for the metricated ) each.
Every kid should go ferreting, sitting over the burrows with the whippet shivering with excitement ( that’s both the dog and me ) waiting for the explosion of bunnies into nets.
No electronic trackers either, when the ferret wouldn’t come out it was start digging with the mattock, sticking unprotected arms all the way to the shoulder into holes that housed more than the occasional brown snake or goanna.

      SECRETARY’S FOREWORD

Energy, Integrity, and the Power of Human Potential

Over my lifetime, I’ve had the privilege of working as an energy entrepreneur across a range of
fields—nuclear, geothermal, natural gas, and more—and I now serve as Secretary of Energy under
President Donald Trump. But above all, I’m a physical scientist who sees modern energy as nothing short
of miraculous. It powers every aspect of modern life, drives every industry, and has made America an
energy powerhouse with the ability to fuel global progress.

The rise of human flourishing over the past two centuries is a story worth celebrating. Yet we are
told—relentlessly—that the very energy systems that enabled this progress now pose an existential threat.
Hydrocarbon-based fuels, the argument goes, must be rapidly abandoned or else we risk planetary ruin.

That view demands scrutiny. That’s why I commissioned this report: to encourage a more thoughtful
and science-based conversation about climate change and energy. With my technical background, I’ve
reviewed reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the U.S. government’s
assessments, and the academic literature. I’ve also engaged with many climate scientists, including the
      authors of this report.

What I’ve found is that media coverage often distorts the science. Many people walk away with a
view of climate change that is exaggerated or incomplete. To provide clarity and balance, I asked a
diverse team of independent experts to critically review the current state of climate science, with a focus
on how it relates to the United States.

I didn’t select these authors because we always agree—far from it. In fact, they may not always agree
with each other. But I chose them for their rigor, honesty, and willingness to elevate the debate. I exerted
no control over their conclusions. What you’ll read are their words, drawn from the best available data
      and scientific assessments.

I’ve reviewed the report carefully, and I believe it faithfully represents the state of climate science
today. Still, many readers may be surprised by its conclusions—which differ in important ways from the
mainstream narrative. That’s a sign of how far the public conversation has drifted from the science itself.

To correct course, we need open, respectful, and informed debate. That’s why I’m inviting public
comment on this report. Honest scrutiny and scientific transparency should be at the heart of our
      policymaking.

Climate change is real, and it deserves attention. But it is not the greatest threat facing humanity. That
distinction belongs to global energy poverty. As someone who values data, I know that improving the
human condition depends on expanding access to reliable, affordable energy. Climate change is a
challenge—not a catastrophe. But misguided policies based on fear rather than facts could truly endanger
      human well-being.

We stand at the threshold of a new era of energy leadership. If we empower innovation rather than
restrain it, America can lead the world in providing cleaner, more abundant energy—lifting billions out of
poverty, strengthening our economy, and improving our environment along the way.

Figure 5.5 in the report is an extract from the IPCC AR6. But it was buried and went without much notice.

The figure can be viewed at this link:
      https://i0.wp.com/wattsupwiththat.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screen-Shot-2025-08-01-at-9.40.02-am-1754005728.3111.png?fit=872%2C656&ssl=1

The white lines show the observed range. The blue shading show the model output without CO2 forcing. The red lines show the model output WITH CO2 forcing. This is now well known and yet the GCM jockeys expect their models to be taken seriously. Who would pin their economic well being to donkeys persisting with this scam.

This is something I have now been at for about 10 years – ocean surface cannot sustain more than 30C. I now know the reason is convective overshoot but the models could never come to grips with that because they parametrise clouds with insufficient detail to identify this critical process.

New taxes on a country already charging one of the world’s highest company tax.. The Albo Govt wants to stop-

““If we don’t get our economy moving again, today’s children could be the first generation to not be better off than their parents. We need to spark growth through investment and competition – the best way to do that is to reform our company tax system.””

    So they’re planning-

“recommends the introduction of a 5 per cent cashflow tax on all businesses. Companies would be able to deduct the full cost of capital expenditure, such as new technology or machinery, in the year it is made from their taxable cashflow to encourage businesses to make productivity investments.”

They’ll keep the 30% company tax for the big businesses AS WELL of course! Like GST and dropping stamp duty and capital gains taxes…

So, add that to your carbon taxes! They will guarantee today’s children will be the first generation to not be better off than their parents.

Public pashes and private jet dashes: Cannon-Brookes embraces a new way of life

Mike Cannon-Brookes paints himself as a climate crusader. The use of his private jet tells a different story with the Bombardier 7500 ferrying the Atlassian billionaire and his girlfriend around the globe.

Mr Cannon-Brookes’s Bombardier 7500 has flown the equivalent distance to the moon and turning back towards the Earth in less than a year.

He’s the billionaire renewable energy evangelist claiming a “deep internal conflict” about carbon-intensive travel. Yet Mike Cannon-Brookes has been racking up the air miles and showing off his $75m private jet to new girlfriend Amelia Beaumont.

And the tech mogul and Ms Beaumont, a Sydney tech worker, hopped off the luxury jet – hiding under an umbrella – at Sydney airport after a recent holiday in Fiji and straight into a $121,000 Kia EV9,

That was just one of about 90 flights across 43 airports Mr Cannon-Brookes’s jet has racked up, flying about 440,000km criss-crossing four continents since last August featuring Grand Prix glamour, Pacific island holidays, European capitals, and American national parks.

The aircraft has spent a bit over 531 hours, or 22 full days, in the air, and has been airborne 309 days since September.

That distance travelled is far enough to get to the moon and turn back towards Earth, and the power generated from the large plane’s carbon emissions is enough to power a small town of 2400 homes for a year.

“Is Blackmail Now Posing As Diplomacy?”

“Russia likes making foreign exchange from selling oil, but really, is entirely self sufficient if need be. I’ve pointed out in a prior postings that you only need foreign exchange to buy things from foreigners. And Russia doesn’t buy much from foreigners. It is NOT needed to “Fund Russia’s War Machine”. That is funded in Rubles, so entirely an internal economic issue. CAN Russia buy from others? Yes. Artillery shells from China, North Korea or Black Market? Yes it can, but it can also make them as needed.

    https://chiefio.wordpress.com/2025/06/30/lindseys-bone-crushing-sanctions-do-what-eh/

shows that Russia doesn’t need much from other countries at all. And what it does buy, it can easily skip for a decade if needed (German cars, French wine & cheese…) or make itself.”

Record number of foreign sex offenders and violent criminals now held in English and Welsh prisons after sharp rise

A record number of foreign sex offenders and violent criminals are in prison in England and Wales, the first official data by nationality has revealed.

There were 1,731 foreign sex offenders in prison as of June this year – up by 9.9 per cent in 12 months.

The number of criminals from abroad jailed for such offences increased at a rate of almost three times that of British sex offenders in the past year, Ministry of Justice (MoJ) data shows.

In total, foreigners account for 12 per cent of the 87,334 prisoners in England and Wales after a 3 per cent increase in a year saw the number rise to 10,772.

NEW STUDY: Nearly half of nuclear armed leaders governed with severe mental or physical illness

A new peer‑reviewed study titled, The frequently impaired health of leaders of nuclear weapon states: an analysis of 51 deceased leaders, has revealed a chilling truth: 45% of past leaders of nuclear‑armed nations since the dawn of the atomic age had health conditions that could impair judgment — some while holding sole authority to launch nuclear weapons.

The study analyzed the biographies of 51 deceased leaders from the U.S., Russia/Soviet Union, China, UK, France, India, Pakistan, Israel, and North Korea

They are being dumped in Australia since Trump won in 2024. Panels are down to AUD500/kW now. You can have solar system installed for around AUD400/kW using subsidies.

That’s interesting. My 10 yr old system died over a year ago, it’s second inverter failed and solar system companies are ONLY interested in new systems and mine really needs tweaking: It never performed as advertised. So it sits like a beached whale.

Renowned oncologist torches pandemic science: “Lockdowns, masks, distancing—it was all complete, utter cr@p.”

“My simple thing is ban all messenger RNA vaccines. Never, ever, ever. And now I’ve looked into it a lot more carefully. There’s a lot more vaccines that need very careful reevaluation, whether they should be pulled as what we’ve done is we’ve looked into all the science that’s been used to justify everything from the lockdown, the masks, the distancing, all complete, utter crap. There’s no scientific basis for any of it whatsoever.

I wonder how many will pay attention to Prof Dalgleish’s warnings re mRNA vaccines. He has been frequently vilified for his comments on the global response to C19. It is especially worrying advice for Australians in view of the millions spent on a new research facility for mRNA vaccines in Victoria.

30-lb ebike game changer fully charges in under 15 minutes

The company says its silicon anode has 10 times the energy capacity of graphite, offering a distinct and clear advantage in increasing battery energy density and charging speed.

What’s traditionally held silicon back from changing the entire battery game across industries is its propensity to expand and contract during battery operation, causing issues with material degradation, lack of durability and shorter battery lifespans. The latest round of silicon battery tech to emerge is claimed to have engineered around those problems.

    https://www.morelle.ai

Of course when considering fast charging it’s not just grid drain thst you have to think about, it’s product run time, charging time, duty cycle, battery weight…

    Well that was quick.

I have resisted using Twitter/X thus far but, having joined a Facebook page discussing the use of Ivermectin and Fenbendazole in treating cancer, and seen mention of a Dr. William Makis (who I was aware of already) having an X account/channel, I decided to give it a go.

I managed to log in. I quickly found the ‘Search’ function and typed the guy’s name in. Bingo – found him. Clicked ‘Follow’ and …

“Your account has been suspended” No explanation. I tried a few things but just kept seeing the same message. Users can appeal their suspension so I’ve given that a go, though I couldn’t fill out the part that asked why I’d been suspended.

    Is this a common occurrence?

Happened to me when I first started using X. Then it seemed to clear itself (nobody ever replied to any queries I submitted), and has been fine since. Nearly put me off, but I am entertained by some clever or funny or idiotic posters, so I’m glad I persisted.

“Mental Health Detentions and the Criminalization of Dissent- ..President Trump issues an executive order empowering federal agencies to clear out homeless encampments and lock up the homeless in mental institutions using involuntary civil commitment laws intended for dealing with individuals experiencing mental health crises… Trump wants to see more use of civil commitments (forced detentions) for anyone who is perceived as posing a risk “to themselves or the public or are living on the streets and cannot care for themselves in appropriate facilities for appropriate periods of time.”..Translation: the government wants to use homelessness as a pretext for indefinitely locking up anyone who might pose a threat to its chokehold on police state power.”

Another step down the road to incarcerating anyone who expresses resistance to Govt idea!

“Police in cities like New York have already been empowered to forcibly detain individuals for psychiatric evaluations, based on vague, subjective criteria: having “firmly held beliefs not congruent with cultural ideas,” exhibiting “excessive fears,” or refusing “voluntary treatment.” ”

If it gets popular in the USA, it won’t be long before we have Govt appointed shrinks inventing reasons why all the Jo Nova readers should be able to meet in person at a detention camp ‘for our own good and that of the public’. Britain must be well down that track already!
