Sensible words from the Boss of British Gas, blasting Miliband.
https://dailysceptic.org/2025/07/20/british-gas-boss-warns-miliband-against-outrageous-energy-bill-divide/
140
It’s a war against not only the poor but just about anyone who can’t afford to do upgrades to their heating systems.
The Left/Elites want to destroy the benefits of free enterprise with a high standard of living affordable by all, and return to a feudal system with most people as serfs ruled over by Elites and with non-Elites having a miserable standard of living.
You can see this every day with the way the Left are at war against the private motor vehicle, air travel (in Australia the soon-to-be 35% carbon tax that TdeF mentions that no one knows about), the war against convenience products like straps and plastic bags, the extra taxes on plastic drink bottles when most people already properly disposed on them, the war against affordable energy so people can’t keep warm and factories can’t run etc. etc. etc..
350
From time to time it has been suggested that non-elites can eat insects while the elites can continue to eat the choice cuts of meat such as rib-eye steak. But there is a problem with that approach isn’t there. To get the choice cuts of meat, they still have to raise a whole beast (bull, cow or steer), so what happens to the rest of the meat, that the non-elites are not allowed to eat and is not good enough for the elites. Also, there needs to be a breeding cow for perhaps 10 beasts to raise for the meat. So what happens to the breeding cow when it’s no longer useful.
60
Maybe they will add mince to what we can eat. Then we can watch re-runs of the Brady Bunch to see all the ways Martha used the mince on the show. Of course there’s bolognese, shepherds pie, taco, meatloaf, sausage rolls…….there must be more. Let’s hope we get a reprieve.

Limnic eruptions.
I have been fascinated with the duplicity of the CO2 stuck in the air story. CO2 actually exchanges very rapidly with the vast turbulent oceans which cover 72% of the planet, especially as it is much heavier than air which is mainly N2 and O2 and this is clearly heavier as CO2, one carbon heavier. Still we are supposed to believe that 53% of all historic fossil fuel CO2 is still in the air.
The story is that the ocean is already full of CO2 and cannot accept more. So new CO2 piles up because even though it goes into the ocean, it comes out again. This is a new concept in equilibrium which makes no sense.
Anyway there are some real examples of volcanic CO2 builds up in still lake water until one night it all converts to gas and comes out rapidly, like the famous Menthos experiment. Sodas like Coke Cola have 100,000 times the CO2 of the ocean surface without a problem unless you put something with a rough surface in.
Limnic explosions and the CO2 gas is deadly, one African lake killed 1700 people in a night. Another lake which might explode is much bigger and contains as much CO2 as 5% of world annual emissions. These lakes also contain methane which is being mined, now powers much of the state of Rwanda.
All oceans are alkali with a pH of 8.0 and incredibly far from ‘full’ and that’s just using the first 50 metres where pressure is 6 atmospheres, twice that of soda.
Equilibrium is however a foundation concept in chemistry and it’s about ratios. Expressed in rules like Boyle’s law. Pressure, volume, temperature. Gas laws.
CO2 goes in and out of the turbulent ocean all the time, unlike the static lakes. Equilibrium works so that what goes in always ends up matching what goes out. Exactly like H2O gas/water, rainfall and evaporation. Add more to the system and it just adds to the total but equilibrium means the CO2 98:2 ocean:air ratio is quickly reestablished.
The whole man made CO2 story works relies on the fact that few people ever learned this idea, even real scientists and engineers.
Their world is often one of force and reaction, not ratios based on statistics. You find the same problems with ecologists who do not understand that prey/predator ratios oscillate around a mean, out of phase. So when prey populations go down, they panic. Similarly the Great Barrier reef with cycles of bleaching and growth as the polyps push too close to the ocean surface and get killed by a low tide in the tropical sun. It’s a cycle. Like the symbiotic relationship between the crown of thorns starfish and the reef. Ignorant people want to kill all the starfish. And get funding.
Equilibrium runs the natural world. The idea that fossil fuel CO2 is special and piles up in the atmosphere is just absurd and a lie. But still people believe it because ‘climate scientists’ say so.
411
This is Google’s answer to the question “does fossil fuel CO2 stay in the air”
“Yes, a significant portion of the carbon dioxide (CO2) emitted from burning fossil fuels remains in the atmosphere. While natural processes like plant growth and ocean absorption remove some CO2, they can’t keep up with the rate of human emissions, causing the atmospheric concentration of CO2 to increase. ”
No mention of the vast ocean CO2 dynamic exchange, 10x bigger than fossil fuel emissions.
So that’s AS, Artificial Stupidity at work. Consensus science at its worst. And it is killing Australia.
420
“How long does CO2 remain in the air?”
‘“The first 10% goes quickly, but it’s not very much of it. The second part goes on a scale of centuries to millennia, but that only gets 80% of it,”
says Ed Boyle, a professor of ocean geochemistry at MIT. He says the last of the carbon dioxide that enters the atmosphere takes tens of thousands of years to leave.’
Unbelievable rubbish, from MIT no less.
301
The world was treated to a giant experiment around 1965 with atmospheric hydrogen bomb explosions, doubling the trace C14. And despite a half life of 5740 years, we saw all the C14 vanish exponentially e-kt and the original level established/. It means ALL the CO2 in 1965 and prior to 1965 is now in the ocean, in a mere 60 years. There is no part of the biosphere in which the radiation could vanish. The C14 level today in 2025 is identical to that in 1750, so there is only 2.0% fossil fuel CO2 in the air at any time as it rapidly plummets into the ocean, as we have seen with our bushfires.
340
“It means ALL the CO2 in 1965 and prior to 1965 is now in the ocean, …”
That is too simple a statement. Oxygenic photosynthesis produces intracellular organic compounds (compounds containing carbon) such as sugars, starches, and cellulose. So, in fact, the CO2 is disassembled, and not in the ocean. It is gone like the body of the Cheshire Cat.
100
Yes John F, not all of it goes into the Oceans, a bloody lot seems to go into making my lawn grow and keeping me busy mowing it !
220
NASA agrees.
70
Photosynthesis produces hydrated CO2, also called carbohydrate. Sugars. The building blocks of the body. And powers our movements and out thoughts. It all started in the ocean and then cells and then shapes and then plants and then animals. We take our ocean with us in our lungs and exchange CO2 and O2 with every breath, as does the ocean itself.
However you only live say 150 years as in the US where some 5 million live to 150 years. Even then it’s a very short time compared to C14 and your carbon returns to the atmosphere or the ground. As CO2 or methane which becomes CO2 over 20 years.
Independently, CO2 has gone up. That’s a very slow shift of the equilibrium point of the balance. That happens. There are many possible causes, most likely ocean and associated with warmer water rising to the top, like El Nino. Water does not have much CO2 or O2 but fish breathe and predate us.
80
TdeF,
I like your comment: “And powers our movements and our thoughts.”
I’ve heard it said, but I can’t remember where: “Carbon is the cradle of our intelligence.”
60
And carbon fuels are the cradle of our civilization where machines do the bulk of the hard physical labour and ended slavery and defeated climate. If you don’t believe that, fly to Dubai.
80
The ocean and the atmosphere exchange CO2 to balance pCO2 (partial pressure). Excess atmospheric CO2 has a half-life of 12-14 years. ie, half the excess atmospheric CO2 disappears into the ocean every 12-14 years. Allowing for tropical-polar differences doesn’t make much difference.
10
Yes, all the gas laws are based on observations. Which can be explained by statistical behaviour of countless molecules, like all chemistry. And equilibrium is the usual result, balance. So vapour pressure which is maintained because like a pendulum, any change is actively resisted. The core idea of CO2 building up is that equilibrium of gases do not exist, vapour pressures are random. When in fact they are rules.
It is amusing that we get the same thing with international travel. Millions of Australians leave the country every year. And most return. The same with tourists. So giving the population of the country on any day is problematic to a million people but we know equilibrium works, or there are new forces at play, pressure to move permanently. It must be tricky to know the number of people in Italy at any given time, given the millions upon millions of tourists. Seasonal changes.
21
And yet atmospheric CO2 continues increase. And that increase has to be explained. Carbon dating puts the main source of this increase to the reintroduction of carbon into the atmosphere from fossil fuels.
329
Yes Peter, not to mention the Volcanic actions of our Mother Earth, nor the Termites………
211
I was talking about the increase, the sources you mention provide the baseline for CO2, the radiocarbon results are definitve, the main source for the increase is from fossil fuels
221
“the radiocarbon results are definitive”
Really? Where?
Neither of your waffly links even mentions ‘radiocarbon’, radioactive carbon or C14.
And I have issues with the CSIRO statement “In fact, CO₂ concentrations now are likely to be the highest they have been in at least the past 2 million years.”
Rapid large fluctuations in CO2 in the order of hundreds of years are not detectable by metamorphic ice cores. A bit like daily temperatures. All you get are time averaged values.
170
It’s a classic problem with ice cores. Metamorphic ice cores do not show high values of CO2. So the naïve argument is that higher CO2 never happened because you cannot see it in the record. A bit like a 48C day in Melbourne. It will not show in the fossil record. All you see are daily, even yearly averages.
It’s a bit like gravity. The naïve argument is that if gravity existed moon would fall. And if the moon really went around the earth, the face would change.
Just because you cannot see something or understand something does not mean it is not true.
In fact the sun does go around the earth. But it was the occasional retrograde movement of mars as seen by Copernicus and explained by Kepler which moved the sun to the centre of our solar system of planets.
90
Kepler used Tycho Brahe’s meticulous observations of Mars in deriving his laws of planetary motion.
20
And a good thing too. We narrowly missed out on a mass extinction event had it kept on dropping and gone below the 150-200ppm required for plants depending upon their photosynthetic pathway.

An experimental estimate is available that plants need a minimum of 150ppm of CO2 to grow. Ref: Dippery et al. (1995). “Effects of low and elevated CO2 on C3 and C4.”. Oecologia, 101, 13-20, (1995), Springer-Verlag.

The Keeling Curve distorted reality.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:NASA_CO2_Chart.jpg
11
I love their choice of y axis which starts at 160 to enhance the appearance of the increase.
51
“The Keeling Curve is a daily record of global atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration maintained by Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego”
“The Keeling Curve is a graph of the annual variation and overall accumulation of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere based on continuous measurements taken at the Mauna Loa Observatory on the island of Hawaii from 1958 to the present day. The curve is named for the scientist Charles David Keeling, who started the monitoring program and supervised it until his death in 2005.”
You have linked to the historic Ice Hockey Curve of CO2 back 450,000 years. And with the same mismatch problems as Michael Mann’s Hockey Curve of temperature.
The jump in the last 250 years shown as a vertical line is measured in partly compressed snow called firn. Likely the last part of that is from the Keeling curve or similar, live atmospheric testing as in San Diego.
The ancient data is from hard metamorphic blue ice like glass with trapped air bubbles.
A basic essential rule of experimental science is broken here. You cannot just join three types of measurement without proving they measure the same thing and that is unlikely. Sure, you can join them up but there is plenty of scope for CO2 to diffuse and escape in this process, greatly reducing time resolution. At the temperatures and pressures involved in the process, CO2 can change phase where O2 and N2 and Ar cannot. (CO2 can exist as all three gas, solid, liquid under these conditions.)
The older data appears to have time resolution of no better than 2,000 years, looking at peak widths.
So it’s sensationalist science drivel. If you cannot see something which recent activity shows you should be visible, it is the method which is suspect, not reality. In reality CO2 can go up and down quickly on a recent human scale, but such activity is not visible on a geological scale.
We are very lucky to be able to see average CO2 so far back in time. A fluke of nature really. But it does not mean we can see rapid changes in ancient records. The same with ancient water levels. All we see are averages, not every flood.
50
It’s also a visual argument of coincidence, not proof. The vertical line is very silly. A typical alarmist rocket ship approach. It’s only a 50% increase in 250 years. And the argument is that we have never seen anything like it, so it must be our fault. That’s not proof, it’s coincidence but is also coincident with changing what is being measured, firn not ice.
60
That about covers it, thanks.
41
‘The Late Ordovician mass extinction, around 443 million years ago, is thought to have been triggered by a significant drop in CO2, leading to global cooling and glaciation. This event is considered one of Earth’s major mass extinction events, wiping out a large percentage of marine species.’
10
No, it doesn’t. Firstly, it’s is not a concern. And it is very beneficial
as NASA has shown.
And at 0.4% a year, it’s not rapid. It would be untenable to argue that the balance point should stay still, like a spinning top.
As almost all CO2 is in the ocean, it’s an ocean phenomenon. Probably the same cause as the recent slight warming, which would release CO2. I would suggest the ocean currents like El Nino. Which incidentally all the vaunted super computers and models cannot predict. Nor any of the other major currents.
We humans do not control the planet. We are no more in scale than pond scum in a very big pond. Next time you fly, just look down as the hours tick by. It beats walking and gives you a great perspective. Especially if you fly to Australia.
180
And the balance as it drifts shows no connection to exponentially rising CO2 from fossil fuel, even if it is a tiny 1% per year. Try the graph (not the article) here. CO2 is oblivious to ALL human activity including 500,000 giant windmills and billions of solar panels. Humans have no ability to control CO2. And tree cover is going up in lock step with CO2 according to NASA, so growing trees/carbon credits are a waste of time.
180
Carbon dating? That’s C14! Please read 3.1.1.1 again. C14/Carbon dating proves absolutely by direct measurement that there is only 2.0% fossil fuel CO2 in the air. It is the ONLY direct measurement of fossil fuel CO2 and proves the exact opposite of what you allege.
110
I take it you mean 2% of the 400 ppm in the atmosphere?
60
Yes. The man made CO2 story is that fossil fuel alone has caused the 50% increase in CO2 since 1750. That means fossil fuel CO2 is allegedly 33% of atmospheric CO2. It is demonstrably only 2.0% in transit.
100
”””'”a waste of time”………And, money.
Money that could be usefully spent elsewhere to help the Human race.
30
That’s very interesting, Peter.
You are claiming the direct opposite to what TdeF has demonstrated above, yet you feel no necessity to provide evidence to back your claim?
I recall that you are always the first to demand that others provide evidence to support their view. Evidence please.
Paul Miskelly
180
I would add part of my interest in the Limnal explosions is to indicate there is a very substantial amount of CO2 coming from volcanic sources too and other hydrocarbons like methane, which turns into CO2.
10
Complete Bollocks as usual. University of Athens https://www.researchgate.net/publication/379016741_Net_Isotopic_Signature_of_Atmospheric_CO2_Sources_and_Sinks_No_Change_since_the_Little_Ice_Age. Human CO2 from burning fossil fuels accounts for 4% of the increase in CO2 levels. Your usual crap with no back upper evidence.
60
It is hardly ever mentioned in articles about corals that the very same CO2 that is the cause of so much doom, is necessary for the formation of of coral ( and hence limestone) in the first place. An ocean has to contain Ca and carbonate ions for the coral polyp to form a hard layer of CaCO3.
No amount of CO2 will cause acidification of the ocean because the alkali seawater is buffered by trillions of tonnes of limestone.
30
Here is a question in my daughter’s Year 9 text book. How many of you can get it right?
Two possible causes have been suggested for global climate change.
(A) An increased heat output from the Sun, which is causing the entire atmosphere to warm up.
(B) Human activity, especially the production of greenhouse gases.
Careful measurement show the boundary between troposphere and the stratosphere has moved upward in recent years and the troposphere is getting warmer, and the stratosphere is not.
Do the facts back up suggestion A or suggestion B? Give reasons for your answer.
426
Simon, the climate is always changing. It has done that throughout the entire history of the earth even in recorded history we have had periods of natural warming when Civilisation has thrived such as the Minoan, Egyptian, Roman and Medieval warm periods Civilisation loves warmth. We also have periods of natural cooling associated with famine, war and disease.
I’m not sure why warmists keep assuming the world is static and unchanging. That was what Aristotle thought but we now know that not to be true.
And it’s difficult to make accurate assessments now due to the way climate data is manipulated such as in Australia the BoM uses the non-scientific, non-documented, non-reproducible method of “homogenisation” to adjust historical temperature records and their elimination of all data before 1910, and other manipulation of temperature data as documented by Jo on these pages; alteration of US temperature data as documented by Tony Heller; in the UK temperature readings coming from non-existent weather stations as mentioned by Tonyb etc..
The claim of supposed global warming first needs to be established. It might be warming, it might not be. We don’t know without honest data. And the reasons for natural warming or cooling are numerous.
In any case, there is no evidence that CO2 is responsible and also no evidence that the increase in CO2 is of anthropogenic origin. It varies naturally.
Also, the Sun is a variable star. It output changes even over short periods like the 11 year solar cycle as well as long term.
In addition, the earth is not static. It is constantly changing in all ways including the climate. Variations have even happened in historical times as I mentioned above. There are also the Milankovitch Cycles which lead to climate variations and variations due to cosmic ray flux influencing cloud formation.
CO2 of anthropogenic origin might only be about 4% of all atmosphere CO2 in any case and is rapidly absorbed by plants or the ocean. I’m sure TdeF will have more to say about that.
I’m glad CO2 is naturally increasing because had it kept dropping we would have been facing a mass extinction event. Plants need 150-200 ppm to survive, depending upon their photosynthetic pathway. I would like to see it settle at 800 to 1000 ppm.
And obviously anthropogenic CO2 is not a problem in any case because if it was the world’s biggest CO2 emitter by far, China would be made to do something about it. And yet they are an advanced country, a major nuclear weapons, nuclear electricity power, coal power, manufacturing power, space power, military power, AI power, robotics power etc.. They are building two coal power stations per week, each of which will be in service for 50 to 70 years.
Why is the West expected to destroy their economies when even if the West returned to Hunter gatherer lifestyles it would make no difference? And with such a lifestyle most people would die anyway. Maybe that’s part of the plan also. Many warmists worship or at least revere Gaia after all.
Above all, there is no problem with warming assuming it was occurring. Civilisation thrives on warmth. And that’s why people tend to holiday in warm places, not cold. Cold is miserable unless for winter sports or taxpayer funded adventure holidays to Antarctica for climate “scientists”.
I’m sad your daughter like all children, is being indoctrinated at school. Back in the day, children were educated, not indoctrinated. They were taught to question everything, including what they were taught.
292
Even if B, effect of A.
So … your daughter is being taught that complex atmospheric physics is an A or B question?
I bet she’s also being taught the human sexual activity has more complexity than the alphabet has letters.
310
I give that response a ++. That’s for when you run out of alphabetic lettrs. Frankly I don’t give a tinker’s #@! for these new druidic religions and the sacrifices they require.
200
TdeF …
testify!
You have inspired me.
Methinks I shall start calling the climate cultists The Wicker People.
110
No more alternatives? C, D, E?
The sun is by definition right. All our heat comes from the sun and most of it, 99.9% is stored in the oceans which control all climates. Of course along with ALL the water. What happened to the ocean? The ice, Antarctica, a continent the size of South America and an average height of 3500 metres( 10,000′)?
And Cycle analysis shows the most dominant solar cycle is the De Vries cycle of 250 years, which just peaked around 2015. The same analysis shows the most dominant ocean cycle is the AMO/PDO with a cycle of 65 years, which also just peaked. Amazingly of the many observed cycles in the sun, earth and sky, only two are needed to precisely explain the temperatures measured with real thermometers, not proxies like tree rings.
210
“Do the facts back up suggestion A or suggestion B? Give reasons for your answer.”
Just typical school propaganda. They feed kids a few ‘facts’ and ask questions narrowed down to be answered from within those ‘facts’. That’s why kids never learn to think for themselves, just regurgitate the rubbish that was put in.
“An increased heat output from the Sun, which is causing the entire atmosphere to warm up.”
Why would more sunshine do that? The atmosphere is not uniform so you wouldn’t expect a uniform response. Which wavelengths of heat are increasing and which molecules absorb those most?? I hope all this was discussed in class.
190
Neither answer is correct. The warming has been occurring since 1700 and is driven primarily by Earth’s orbital precession. Warming of northern hemisphere has only just started; 300 years into a 9,500 year warming period.
We are already given a glimpse of what happens with quite rapid increase in autumn snowfall across the NH. Greenland gaining altitude and permanent ice extent on Greenland increasing.
I explain what the orbit precession along with other orbital changes has done and will do here:
https://wattsupwiththat.com/2025/05/04/high-resolution-earth-orbital-precession-relative-to-climate-weather/
And if you believe every text book to be right then you have very little life experience.
See if you can get the right answer to this simple question. What location on Earth gets the highest single day solar insolation?
150
Would your explanation be consistent with a warming troposphere and cooling stratosphere?
18
Ocean surface warming increase atmospheric water so that obviously increases btht the latent and sensible heat in the troposphere.
I have not seen any decisive study on the temperature of the troposphere and I doubt anyone knows what it is doing and why. Ozone is the dominate radiation emitter and absorber in the stratosphere and I do not know if its concentration has changed or not
21
Satellites can measure troposphere temperature. It is warming and the stratosphere is cooling.
https://journals.ametsoc.org/view/journals/bams/106/5/full-BAMS-D-24-0212.1-f2.jpg
12
Ummm..maybe move her to a different school?
One without the loony left ignorant teachers?
2 choices. How about the 1,500 active volcanoes?
Or the effect of cosmic radiation?
Brainwashed teachers = brainwashed students.
101
Are your explanations consistent with a warming troposphere and cooling stratosphere?
15
Earth’s climate is complex, but we are confident its not B.
I’m with TdeF on this, the oceanic oscillations and teleconnections explain simply what is going on. The PDO is a major player and if you squint your eyes its possible to discern a difference in the second half of the 19th century. At the time Australia was still in the grip of the Little Ice Age, which offers a clue why the PDO was so negative.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:NASA_CO2_Chart.jpg
61
Apologies: https://chaac.meteo.plus/en/climate/pdon.png
11
And the AMO was positive over the second hal of the 19th century.
https://chaac.meteo.plus/en/climate/amo-index.png
This is climate change, fluid dynamics, CO2 is a harmless trace gas.
31
What Greenhouse gases? There are none. It is a recent trendy Climate Alarmist notion.
Mind you, pumping CO2 into a Greenhouse full of plants/crops makes them grow bigger/faster and better.
Not one Climate Model takes into account the variable power of our Sun our the variability of the Earth’s orbit around that Sun.
Climate tosh to them all and a pox on their house – Green or otherwise.
Read this from Ian Plimer and weep…………..
https://www.spectator.com.au/2025/07/climate-catastrophe/
60
I was floored to read
and went to the head of the article to find who wrote it; turns out to be Ian Plimer. Notwithstanding that the eccentricity of that ellipse at .0167 is indistinguishable from a circle to the naked eye with which I habitually examine plotted curves it may be the emeritus was having an off day and didn’t mean it how it came out.
20
The amount of eccentricity is considerable.
16
The eccentricity is not constant. It ranges from 0.057 down to .005. It is presently on the low side at 0.0167. The minimum is indistinguishable from a circular orbit around the barycentre. But the Sun orbits the barycentre as well and that does cause some variation in distance between Earth and Sun even when the eccentricity is very low. The Sun orbit is then the greater cause of distance variation.
Plimer is well researched and knows a lot about climate. I would not be surprised if Plimer advises Trump on climate given he was with him on the election night. Trump seems to be confident and accurate on his climate statements. He knows it is a scam and that knowledge would be based on a clear understanding of climate drivers that Plimer clearly grasps.
90
Ah Simple Simon,
All these human “greenhouse emissions”, where do they come FROM?
“Burning Fossil fuels” cries Simple Simon.
Very good. Where do fossil fuels come from?
“From under the ground” cries Simple Simon.
Good. And how did they get underground?
“Plants were buried under rock millions of years ago and compressed until they formed coal, oil and gas which we terrible humans are digging up and burning” cries Simple Simon
Correct. Now, where did the plants get the carbon dioxide they needed to grow from?
“Plants take carbon dioxide from the air and use photosynthesis to grow, giving off oxygen in the process” cries Simple Simon.
Very good answer, Simple Simon. Congratulations, you have now proved that ALL the buried fossil fuels were once a part of the atmosphere WITHOUT causing runaway “Global warming”.

I feel sorry for your daughter. Left wing indoctrinators instead of educators, plus a brainwashed father, both teaching her what to think not how to think. Poor girl doesn’t stand a chance.
51
I think some of us may have missed the obvious question Simon should be asked…
Is it a science text book or a social sciences text book?
21
“Careful measurement show” should be either “Careful measurement shows” or “Careful measurements show”
50
Either the text was incorrect or it was misquoted. Ironically, people who visit this blog as supposed fact checkers wantonly issue red thumbs but don’t dot their “i’s” or cross their “t’s”.
You get better recognition if your facts are in order and your grammar is sound.
40
Ask you daughter if CO2 or the sun warms Earth.

https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2025/07/20/german-electric-grid-costs-doubled-over-past-decade-as-a-result-of-green-transition/
And Black Out Bowen is forcing Australian consumers down the same degraded path!
90
“a report last year from Norwegian engineer Jan Emblemsvåg found that if Germany had invested in nuclear power, rather than wind and solar, it would have been cheaper and the country’s carbon emissions would have also been significantly lower…if Germany had invested in nuclear power at the start of the century, emissions would have declined by around 73 per cent, compared to the mere 25 per cent decline seen under the green energy transition.”
Makes sense.. Its not about electricity or the price of energy, its all about control!
160
Australia is now the path finder. Most other jurisdictions are giving up. Australia is as well but by default rather than sanity due to difficulty of land access and financiers now realiusiubng it is the path to stranded assets.
Australia essentially has a single string to its future “renewables” – household rooftop solar and batteries. The grid stuff is priced out of the picture and obviously has high sovereign risk. We can thank Trump for the realisation of sovereign risk and look forward to Farage doing the same in the UK. With both US and UK “renewables” sunk, Australia will find it hard to keep blazing the trail to economic implosion.

If they keep this going they might avoid implosion in the short term, but we all know its unsustainable over the political cycle.

Yes, they only have cartoon fires to go. Then perhaps a red demonic monster appearing from the flames with a pitchfork.
Repent! Pay your UN carbon indulgences now!

They should be more dramatic.

WXMaps (which won’t load ATM) started this a while ago.
IIRC their scale with my interpretation from many ashings of organic material in a muffle furnace –
Bright red to about 28 degrees
About 30 degrees, tinges of black in the red, you’re starting to char
About 38 degrees, ashy grey, you are almost completely burnt up

And I’ve just remembered that there was a posting not so long ago pointing out that a summer day in that area had changed colour from light green to red.
Obviously we are not panicking fast enough!

FDA stalls decision on petition to suspend mRNA injections, citing ‘other priorities’
Australian lawyers led by ex barrister Julian Gillespie filed a petition with the US FDA to have the mRNA vaccines stopped because they have not passed the regulatory requirements for a gene therapy.
The FDA has responded by the required time which is 180 days but only to say that it is low priority for them and they may get around to looking at the petition some time or other.
Meantime cancers in young people continue to increase.
I am not sure why RFK jr has not been able to enforce compliance yet but he seems to be moving slowly and deliberately.
I have subscribed to Maryanne Demasi’s work since I met her at the “Misdeeds of AHPRA” conference 3 months ago. I think she was the only journalist in attendance. MSM media did not attend. Some readers may recall that Maryanne Demasi was a presenter on the ABC science programme Quantum some years ago.

The priority seems to be on wearable medical monitoring devices.
At least on the next shot there will be data on how badly it has damaged people – I read one of the Australian vaccine injury claims was accepted because the guy’s fitbit showed how his heart had been popped.

The Tassie Greens show their incompetence on day 1
“Yeah, because when you think of Tasmanian politics, of course you naturally think of the Middle East conflict,” Ms De Giorgio told Sky News Australia.
“Only the Greens can turn a state election into an international soapbox.

‘Him’ being Patrick Harvie, a ‘co-leader’, for now … of Scottish Greens, and quite a lot further left than the previous [unlamented] Scots leader Nichola Sturgeon [I nearly wrote ‘Fishcake’. My bad].
And the Greens have folk more ‘radical’ than he is …
My guess is they think the delightful pederast and mass-murderer Mao was a right-winger …

Global hack on Microsoft servers
Unknown attackers exploited a “significant vulnerability” in Microsoft’s SharePoint collaboration software, hitting targets around the world.
Microsoft’s SharePoint platform is used by governments, organizations and companies to manage and share documents.
Hackers exploited a major security flaw in widely used Microsoft server software to launch a global attack on government agencies and businesses in the past few days, breaching U.S. federal and state agencies, universities, energy companies and an Asian telecommunications company, according to state officials and private researchers.
The U.S. government and partners in Canada and Australia are investigating the compromise of SharePoint servers, which provide a platform for sharing and managing documents. Tens of thousands of such servers are at risk, experts said, and Microsoft has issued no patch for the flaw, leaving victims around the world scrambling to respond.

Greece: Don’t come here. We will put you in jail or send you back home.
Thanos Plevris said: ‘The Greeks, like the rest of Europe, want to help real refugees, but we will not be taken for fools. It is the end of the fairy tale that those coming to Greece and Europe in incredible numbers are all women and children. They are mainly men aged between 18 and 30 who are economic migrants. We are not a hotel any more.
‘Many are from safe countries, such as Egypt, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Now we are telling them that if you sail in illegally by boat to Greece, do not expect asylum but get ready for five years in jail or a ticket home instead.’

China launches 2,800 AI satellites. Orbital data centers now live. U.S. has no match.
China just launched the largest orbital computing network ever attempted. On May 14, 2025, Beijing deployed the first 12 satellites of a planned 2,800-unit constellation designed to operate as AI-powered data centers in space. Each satellite carries 744 trillion operations per second of compute power, linked by 100 Gbps laser interconnects. The system runs an 8-billion parameter model onboard and stores 30 terabytes locally.
The project is called the Three-Body Computing Constellation. It’s designed to bypass the limitations of land-based infrastructure: no cooling towers, no real estate, no water consumption. Solar power drives the entire network. Data is processed in orbit, not on Earth.
https://citizenwatchreport.com/china-launches-2800-ai-satellites-orbital-data-centers-now-live-u-s-has-no-match/
Now, y’all remember when I said to just wait as looming AI won’t need huge cooling systems and dedicated power plants…😉

Having heard how much power terrestial data centers/ AI hives consume ( MWs- GWs ) i wonder exactly how big the solar collectors for these satellites might be ?
….and how they will be constructed in space ?
..or do i just call BS on this “project” ?

No dont really remember any of that.
Reads like a lot of techno waffle meant to impress consumers, especially ” The system runs an 8-billion parameter model onboard and stores 30 terabytes locally.” which is pretty meaningless and vague “the system”

“Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men’s views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something.
They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.”
