Remember all the people who said coal was a stranded asset?
The two largest economies on Earth are throwing money at it.
The AI boom is pushing the USA to invest in fossil fuel power in a big way(especially gas).
America Bets $50 Billion On Coal And Gas Power, More Than China, As Electricity Demand Soars
Irena Slav, OilPrice
U.S. companies are set to spend some $50 billion on power generation from coal and natural gas this year, the International Energy Agency has said, as quoted by the Financial Times.
This would be the first time in decades that U.S. spending on coal and gas generation would be higher than what China is investing in the two fuels, with the difference at $3 billion.
That is some transformation — wow.

Financial Times/ Zerohedge.
Waiting times have blown out for gas turbines:
The report cited a Rystad Energy analyst as saying prices for gas turbines have gone up from $800 per kWh to over $2,500. In addition to data centers, whose owners have bet on baseload power supply from gas power plants—and coal, too—the expansion of wind and solar has also prompted stronger demand for baseload generation to keep the grid balanced when the weather is unfavorable for either wind or solar generation, or both.
While demand for electricity soars, gas turbine production has been flat over the past few years, resulting in a deficit. Siemens Energy, one of the world’s top three gas turbine makers, reported in February that its gas services business had seen a record quarter in orders, with a total of 102 new turbines in the backlog. As much as 40% of these new orders came from the United States, and another 35% came from Europe.
As a commenter at Zero Hedge opined:
China spends $50B on coal plants and builds 50 new coal plants.
US spends $50B on coal plants and that pays for the permits, environmental studies and 10 years of litigation in the courts for one new coal plant.
We hope Trump has got rid of some of that red tape.
Still, it’s hard to sell the end of coal when the biggest economies are spending gangbusters on fossil fuels.

Good to see King Coal and Gas on the scene. Nuclear is next.
Australia needs to wake up and soon.

Even if Australia gets a rational government like One Nation, there is little chance of Australia building a proper coal, gas or nuclear power station any time soon.
We would be too far down the waiting list behind the advanced economies like USA and China.
That’s on top of the already existing huge regulatory burdens, sacred site claims, lawfare, feral unions, enquiries and general BS, BS, BS which even if power station parts were available would already mean 10+ years delays in the “can’t do” country.
And as time goes on, Australia continues to blow up its power stations, just like the National Socialists’ Nerobefehl (Nero Decree) although even war criminal Albert Speer was smart enough not to implement that, unlike our own International Socialists.
Australians just have to accept their rapid decline into a second rate, energy starved country. (Not saying that’s going to happen, we’re already there.)
This is what Australians voted for.
What did Australia use before candles? Electricity.
510
Minimum lead time for new coal in Australia is 10 years.
Refurbishment and expansion of existing plants could be faster. Any new coal or even upgrades will need considerable political will.
260
What are we going to use for candles? Tallow, beeswax and parafin are all verbotten.
101
I wonder what happened to the four big turbines from the last power plant that was demolished, turbines don’t wear out, everything on them can be reconditioned.
210
The Victoriastani government recently announced plans to build an AI data centre the size of 175 MCGs in the west of Melbourne. They intend to build two gas power plants to help power it. They probably think they can just go on eBay and buy them.
160
They probably destroyed them quickly so there was absolutely no possibility of resurrecting the power station.
30
Perhaps David, but…
A company called Delta Group (Delta Group Holdings Pty Ltd) was selected by AGL undertake the first stage of closure/decommissioning/demolition planning for Liddell including decommissioning and asset-salvage planning and removal of major structures (boilers, chimneys, turbine houses, coal plant, ancillary buildings), levelling the site using recovered crushed concrete.
Over 90% of materials were expected to be recycled during demolition (including about 70,000 tonnes of steel).
Delta Group is a privately owned Australian company.
Its founder and sole director is Con Petropoulos (via Delta Group Holdings Pty Ltd).
Delta Group is based in Port Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, with its registered office at 577 Plummer Street, Port Melbourne VIC 3207.
Delta Group’s head office phone number is 03 9646 8277 (+61 3 9646 8277).
You could always give Con a call. If he still exists. I’m sure a smart business man like Con wouldn’t let the turbines spin too far away from him.

Please explain how a minor party, poll popularity noted, could be assessed as “a rational government” or even the alternative government meaning Oposition Leader, Deputy Opposition Leader and thirty Shadow Cabinet Ministers sitting opposite the elected government currently Albanese Labor?
And if that minor party of two MPs not elected 2022 or 2025 and four Senators did manage to get the seventy six House of Representatives MPs minimum number needed to form a government how could that group of inexperienced in Parliament people form a rational government, the only MP they have managed to get elected and recently at the Farrer by election has already supported Greens and Teals voting in Parliament and displays three flags in his parliamentary office? And the Leader of One Nation (there is no Deputy Leader) according to media reports has had words with him about breaking ranks.
I recommend listening to and looking at the Liberal National Coalition Opposition policies on extracting minerals and energy as a top priority if elected to government, and support for coal fired power stations as well as future nuclear power stations, and their overall Plan that returns to fossil fuelled electricity supply without penalising. I have posted links several times.
By the way, the campaign tactics of One Nation are now being scrutinised, one in particular their attacks on Captain Andrew Hastie Liberal MP, One Nation using the legal matters relating to Corporal Ben Roberts-Smith using him for party political promotion as in One Nation supports ADF soldiers, but not Andrew Hastie and conveniently ignoring that he was summoned to appear in a court of law, we all have to obey court orders.

I am a National supporter and have been since when it was the Country Party. I still think it has the means to beat Labor but does it have the will and does it have the right prosecutors? With all the major errors of the Labor government it should be easy to defenestrate each of the incompetent front benchers. I agree with you Dennis that the Coalition is the only opposition party that has the machinery of government. One Nation does not.
15
Dennis asks:
Before I answer that question for you Dennis you need to tell us all how the current Labor socialist disaster could be assessed as a “rational government”.
Secondly, you need to explain how a Liberal alternative government is a “rational” option given the predominance of “wets” (socialist left) members that it has infecting its current membership. Its persistent in-fighting and back-stabbing gives nobody any confidenece that it is nothing more than a rabble. It needs to understand that it must attack lying Labor not the conservatives who support One Nation.
40
I guess this has always been how it goes.
They keep us blabbering on about ‘following science’ while they’re following the money.
As in our money.

Remind me again how one is meant to run an AI data centre on wind, solar and Unicorn flatulence. Or aluminium smelters which are similarly power hungry.
Our politicians and Leftists in general seriously believe this is possible.
As usual, they are deluded. AI and aluminium production will be attracted to producers of cheap and reliable coal, gas, nuclear and real hydro (not SH2) power. E.g. USA and China but Chicomm censorship of AI might be severe so most AI will go to USA with First Amendment protections.
Wind and solar with battery backup is only suitable for a subsistence existence such as keeping a couple of low power lights on for a few hours a night, a small kitchen appliance to heat your ration of insects, and a small portable internet connected appliance for Big Brother to deliver propaganda to you and monitor you for thought crimes. A socialist utopia in other words.
351
Speaking of a socialist utopia (for bureaucrats & politicians) https://tallbloke.wordpress.com/2026/07/02/polish-consortium-unveils-35billion-plan-to-build-14-small-nuclear-reactors-across-britain/
SGE, the Warsaw-headquartered group behind the proposal, said the reactors would generate enough electricity to power around eight million homes within eight years.
The proposed fleet would provide up to 11 per cent of Britain’s electricity supply, making it one of the largest nuclear infrastructure projects announced in recent decades.
Under the plans, the consortium intends to build the reactors across three sites, with commercial operations targeted to begin in 2034.
I would think that by 2034 the initial proposal may have been discussed and listed as worthy of being discussed some time (once power is restored).

Was it Heinrich Heine who said (about 1850 – couldn’t find reference) the advantage of living in England is that when the end of the World ends, it will be delayed for a hundred years here.
150
Search Assist found: The quote you are referring to is attributed to Heinrich Heine, who humorously remarked that when the end of the world comes, it will happen fifty years later in Bavaria, and similar sentiments have been expressed about England. Variants of this joke have circulated, …
Mark Twain said something similar about Cincinnati.

“We can not – drill – our way – out of this energy crisis.”
Barack Hussein Obama – October 2008 – 1 month before his 1st election in his typical, dull sing song cadence.
October 2008 US Oil production daily average – 3,974,000 barrels
April 2026 US Oil production daily average – 13,934,000 barrels
October 2008 US Natural Gas production daily – 1,675,027 – Millions cubic feet
April 2026 US Natural Gas production daily – 3,327,621 – Millions cubic feet
October 2008 Liquid Petroleum Nat Gas (Propane) – 1,487,000 barrels per day
April 2026 Liquid Petroleum Nat Gas (Propane) – 7,754,000 barrels per day
America is now not only the #1 producer in the world of ALL each one of these (3) categories of oil and gas production but is also now the #1 Exporter of ALL these these (3) categories by a huge margin.
Moral of the story: Don’t elect ignorant, stupid know nothings like Obama who in 2026 is still stuck on stupid.

Heinrich Heine:
I have never seen an ass who talked like a human being, but I have met many human beings who talked like asses

There are even a few who can talk out of their ass, Bowen comes to mind.

Nat Gas is a term for methane, although all gas is natural in some sense, but anyway it has been decided that methane is more natural than the others.
LNG is short for Liquified Natural Gas which is highly refrigerated methane, shipped seriously cold at -160C.
LPG is short for Liquified Petroleum Gas, and that’s the older product, your basic BBQ bottle … mostly propane with a bit of butane, and no need to keep them cold.
The USA exports both LPG and LNG but the main growth area has been the methane exports. That’s the place where recent technology has opened up new opportunities … including the fracking and the ability to handle materials at such low temperature.
240
Point of clarification: in the U.S. “natural gas” is fuel that is produced from wells and fed directly to pipelines for use, thus the term “natural.” It is not pure methane. There are plants that take natural gas directly from the pipeline and cryogenically strip out some of the higher fractions (like ethane, propane, and butane) and return the rest of the gas to the pipeline. The returned gas, mostly methane, still meets the standards for pipeline natural gas.

By the way NY and CA won’t frack/drill and they have huge oil (CA) and gas (NY) reserves. Meanwhile Texas and Texans are rolling in money. The University of Texas Univerity system now has the 2nd largest university endowment (Harvard is #1) – almost $50,000,000,000 and $billions come in every year in oil/gas royalties. The school is a money machine.
In the US the people who own the land have the mineral rights in most cases – not the governments unless a company has bought them. I love out West and I personally know many ranchers, farmers and Indian Tribal members who make $10,000 a month, $100,000 a month and $1,000,000 and up every month – the money just rolls in. All they do is cash the checks. It’s so cool. I love America.
290
Many’s the time I have opined about underground property rights in Australia. If the Land Owner had the rights, stopping gas at the Farmer’s gate would be a distant dream of green delusion, and the Royalties would be in private hands, intelligently spent instead of in the hands of Gummint, where it isn’t.
330
I’m aware this has been outlined many times before, but the import never seems to be absorbed:
In Australia, the State Govts own the mineral rights, whether outcrop or subcrop, within each relevant State boundary.
The Federal Govt owns the mineral rights in the two Territories (ACT and NT) and between the low tide mark and the various international marine boundaries.
Only these two entities can legally, constitutionally, collect “Royalties”. However, both the States and the Feds can and do very quietly channel some portion of these Royalties to various Aboriginal groups – which the ever dishonest MSM then portrays as Aboriginals being paid Royalties directly by mining groups and companies. This gives the impression (and is meant to give the impression) that Aboriginals are entitled to Royalties directly.
130
People NEED electricity ALL of the time.
NOT when nature thinks we might be able to use some.
Bloody well done, Mr. Trump.
350
They would not have done this for humans … but since AI needs the power, oh well, it can’t be helped, gotta build real power stations now.
280
So the USA overtakes China in coal and gas investment. Australia, Canada, UK and EU politicians are more undertakers than overtakers.
Modern politics is a refuge for the incompetent and opportunistic who would fail anywhere else. Which is why they hate Donald Trump for showing them how a real businessman investor would handle public money without even taking a salary. Meanwhile Nancy Pelosi shows the world how you can be worth half a billion dollars despite a salary of $170K.
As our National spending on solar and wind and massive ultimately useless transmission lines is insane. Especially given our massive coal and gas and uranium resources. We Australians are not allowed use what we export? Why? How can that be even logical. It’s called exploitation, largely by China. The same China who killed thousands of Australians with their military Wuhan virus, ran live fire exercises around our coastline and shut down our exports because we dared for an inquiry into the origin of the Virus (renamed Covid by the China controlled UN/WHO, the same Tedros Adhomen who declared it ‘not infectious human to human’)
333
Can we seek reparations for all the Australians killed by the Chinese virus? Or will they just send the gunships again? While they threaten us to get a better price on our coal and iron ore. Andrew Forrest is being threatened today. He is reported to have told the Chinese negotiatiors “put the guns away”.
132
Man made CO2 driven rapid tipping point Global Warming was fake. Invented by Al Gore. Surely after 38 years that is obvious. But as Donald Trump now says, it’s the ‘China Hoax’. He is right.

Now more than ever. It started back in 2018 when New York elected a chick with an Economics degree for Boston University who was tending bar because she was a mediocrity who couldn’t land a job in her chosen field. In 2025, New York elected a failed rapper nepo baby as their Mayor. Then this year, they elected a 30 year old grad student who has never held a job. Meanwhile in Colorado, they just elected a chick who got fired from her job for trashing her company over the Israel/Gaza conflict while sitting on a $250,000 in student loans. Compared to this recent crop, AOC looks like a high achiever.
El Gato Malo has a theory for why this happens. It’s called ‘rule by rube’ and it is playing out pretty much exactly like he said would.

How else do you explain Albo Akhbar, Chris Bowen? And Dr. Chalmers proves a modern PhD is an antiqualification in economics. Pauline Hanson could run a fish and chip shop without going broke, but Chalmers could not.
As Albo’s ‘I have changed my position’. It’s called compulsive lying. No remorse. Your fault in fact for believing a word he said. Smirk.

Do you use LinkedIn? There is a person named Andrew Blakers, with the title “Professor of renewable energy at The Australian National University, who is prone to throwing out concepts of placing Pumped Hydro dams in different locations in Australia, his latest thought bubble is to utilise the vacated Yallourn coal open cut pit and some reservoirs in the high country to create a Pumped Hydro scheme.
Myself and others said, what a waste of time and money with millions of tonnes of cheap, easily accessible brown coal still in the ground at that location.
Well, the renewable zealots basically lose their minds and turn rabid on any suggestion that coal could or should be used for electricity generation!!
His other proposal for a Pumped hydro scheme was in the hills east of Harvey, WA in the Harvey River State Forest. While it might be somewhat plausible in theory, why spend billions doing that while the WA state government is shutting down it’s own tax payer owned coal fired stations (750MW worth) early with at least 100 years worth of quality coal still in the ground in nearby Collie. This is going to be putting hundreds of people out of work in the next 3-5 years sadly.

That is great. We should enjoy this moment in the sun. Because as soon as Trump leaves office, it’s all over. And this time it will be for good because there isn’t another Trump

Spot on Tony.
Were stuffed, I pity our poor bloody brain washed grandkids.

Trump is a very successful operator. He can walk away and he has a good team in place. Especially the second time around where Pence, Bolton, McConnel, Ryan, … are gone. And they were enemies on his team first time around. Now people like Bissent and Rubio are just extraordinary. De Santis.
Meanwhile the opposition has fallen apart after 12 years of Biden/Obama. Tapper is forming his own party. So you can expect many of Trump’s proteges, young people, to take over. Plus J.D.Vance who was a darling of the establishment until he sided with Trump, Hillbilly Elegy. Then you have Trump’s amazing family and extended family. In the Democrats you have AOC, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, Newscum and Madman in the wings. The Zombie apocolypse.

I think McConnell is still breathing and is still a Senator, but has not been showing up to vote. There are rumors that he might have just had a heart attack I think it was. Why do we have Senators dying in office? We need term limits now!
80
Or at least health and competence checks. Remember they did not prosecute Joe Biden for stolen secure documents for which he was obviously guilty over decades and only because the interviewing lawyer Mr Hu said Biden’s geriatric memory was so bad they could not get a conviction. And he was President of the USA at this time!
60
Are we sure he is still breathing? Cue Weekend at Bernies!
00
right enough there isn’t another Trump (well maybe some offspring). But my prediction is a JD Vance, Marco Rubio run for office. They will win and provide 12 years of Trumpian continuity.
There you go El-Gordo. A prediction you could put money on!

More good news from the USA, but here again is the GLOBAL energy mix since 1800 or 1900 or 1970 and up to 2024.

Bangladesh has seen the largest fall in deaths from cyclones over the last 32 years and global death rates from all extreme weather events have fallen by 99% over the last century.
And this has been driven in part by the increased use of fossil fuels and the more accurate forecasts of all extreme weather events.

And while CO2 ’emissions’ have soared 3500% since 1900, actual CO2 has only gone up 35%.
The maths problem for ‘man made CO2’ is that annual emissions are now a record 1% of atmospheric CO2 but the actual rate of climb is only 0.4%? So proponents of man made CO2 increases are forced to argue that half goes into the ocean while half stays in the air forever! Which is absurd. What happens next year?
This requires a new mad theory of gaseous exchange. How does an indiviual CO2 molecule know to stay out of the water? In fact all CO2 goes into the water roughly every 5 years.
And 98% of CO2 is already in the water, so 98% of new CO2 ends up in the water. And it likely does this in months, not years as we have seen off the coast of Australia after our bushfires. (although the commentary says the bloom is due to iron, not CO2)
90
Blah blah blah! You all know how long I’ve ‘harped on’ about coal fired power.
So, let me show you something.
Back in 2021, I wrote a 4 part series (Coal Fired Power Dying – Not So Fast) about how coal fired power will have a very long future.
When you take the link, no need to read unless you want to, but scroll down and look at the second image, that graph of power generation by source in the U.S.
That graph was a copy of the one from that vast database in the U.S. the Energy Information Administration (EIA) That graph is a real time graph, interactive and like all data at that site, it’s updated every two Months, even though this graph is expressed in years.
So then, here’s the link to the latest graph and here’s what I wanted to show you.
It starts from 1949, and here, the one I want you to look at is that blue line, and that is the total coal fired power generation each year, and as you hover your mouse along the graph, you’ll see the total for each year. Note how coal fired power reached the ‘top of the cliff’ in 2007, (when coal fired power delivered 50.34% of ALL generated power in the U.S.) and then fell off it. Note also that around the same time, as coal fired power started to fall away, Natural Gas fired power started its rise, in almost the same manner as coal fired fell, and if you look, you’ll see that Natural Gas and Coal are almost relative to each other now. (NG almost the same as coal at its former height in 2007, and Coal almost the same as what NG was in 2007) So contrary to, well you know, wind and solar REPLACING coal, you can see here that NG is really what has replaced coal, and those other two hyped methods have just made up the extra, so to speak.
OK, so do this carefully. See where Coal is now at the far right of the graph. With your mouse, hover it, (that blue line) and look at that upturn, and then scroll back the one year. That uptick is 85TeraWattHours, so an increase of 13% over the previous year, and here 85TWH (just that UPTICK) is the same as the Australian total from BLACK coal fired power last year, so all of those three States NSW, Victoria, and Queensland.
Umm, the last coal fired power plant to come on line in the U.S. was back in 2013.
So, that uptick just for last year is coal fired power plants ramping back up.
As I mentioned, and highlighted in bold at the bottom of that first Post in my Series ….. Coal Fired Power generation does have a future, and it looks like it will be quite a long future.
You’ll also see links to those three other Posts as well if you want to read about serious coal fired power generation.
Tony.

With China and the US dominating construction, I don’t like our chances of getting many gas turbines soon. On the plus side we might pick up the odd discarded synchronous condenser to control our sovereign energy flow.
90
I suspect competition is about to pick up in the gas turbine business. Where there is a sustained market bottleneck, there surely is some entrepreneur looking to make a buck widening the supply pipeline.
60
Lomborg is certainly starting to come down harder on the net zero BS and nonsense.
At the recent ARC conference he warned us of the wasted TRILLIONs of $ so far and the wasted TRILLIONs of $ to come if we’re stupid enough to continue this net zero lunacy.
This ENERGY talk takes just 15 minutes and he provides much more recent global energy data to support his claims.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgk7oB_1gjc
70
And I think that Australia, too, will bet big on coal and gas plus nuclear. Yes, yes, yes, but somewhere in the future when Albanese’s communist, nation wrecking government along with the insipid Liberals and Teals are an almost forgotten bad smudge in Aussie history books.
80
Dan Tehan is the Shadow Minister for Energy and Emissions Reduction, its time for a reshuffle and a new heading, Shadow Minister for Climate Change and Energy.
13
A shadow cabinet minister is a senior opposition spokesperson who mirrors a government minister’s portfolio, scrutinizes their actions, and proposes alternative policies as part of an opposition “government in waiting.”
40
Not good enough, we are playing into the socialist’s hands, Emissions Reduction is a tool to bully us into submission.
21
Victoria has just started operating the eastern grids biggest synchronous condenser, which they say will allow an additional 600MW of “renewables” to enter the grid (presumably previously unable to be used due to causing excessive fluctuation in the frequency?). I saw it originally on a regional WIN News Gippsland post on Farcebook but couldn’t find a web link.
https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2025/nov/23/australia-largest-synchronous-condenser-victoria-spinning-engine-could-stabilise-energy-transition
This paragraph is telling:
40
How many coal fired power stations could you fit in to an area the size of Ararat?
40
Like most things from leftist journalists, that part is poorly written, they are referring to the “Size” of the synchronous condenser located at Ararat. It’s actually a pretty small facility, if you look at the photo in the link, just a shed in a yard with a bunch of transformers etc. The rotor mass is 150 tonnes.
The point of the quoted line is that they may need 40 of these units to be added to our grid in future at a cost of $130,000,000 EA. All to assist the use of wind and solar diffuse energy collection and distribution.
30
If this is correct then 40 * $137m is a cool $5.48 Billion.
$5.48 Billion for something that was provided free (basically) with fossil fuel power stations.
“They” keep telling me that renewables are the cheapest.
Reality says otherwise.
40
The Hunter Power Project in need of a data centre.
‘The power station will comprise two heavy-duty, open cycle gas turbines (OCGT) and are the latest and most efficient turbines that the world’s best manufacturers can offer for the site.
‘The OCGTs will operate on natural gas and will be hydrogen-ready. Diesel is available on-site as a backup for the extreme and rare cases where the NSW power grid needs it to keep the lights on. Over the power station’s life, diesel usage is negligible.’

Dr Koonin has spoken at today’s Aspire conference in Australia and he spends 20 minutes trying to understand the net zero madness we are experiencing here and he covers a lot of ground.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2M4JUtyqdw

Amazing how only yesterday our Federal Nincompoop for Climate Action and Energy (Chris Bowen) stated that he didn’t see a big role for gas in Australia’s future energy mix.
Just when I thought I couldn’t despise that bloke any more, he goes and says something even more stupid.
60
Never challenge a Leftist with a statement like “just how much more stupid can you get”?
They will take up the challenge and prove that they can indeed be more stupid.
20
A few hours ago former deputy PM John Anderson talked to Dr Koonin about Aussie’s fears and beliefs about CC and he asked many good questions about what we can do to build a better Australia.
Dr Koonin thinks that there is no existential threat and we should forget about net zero and we will need a lot more baseload energy until 2100 and beyond.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fy_RgfJ7BcQ
10
John Anderson has always been a sceptic. All the arguments against banning carbon dioxide have been known for a long time. What happened with the Iran crisis was that we became brutally aware that 2/3 of our energy is from irreplaceable carbon fuels. And what else is there? Plus we take gas and coal for granted. But it makes no sense for Australia to go bankrupt just to show everyone else how moral we are. Stupid is a better explanation.
Koonan, Happer and others play the game of agreeing with the premise and then arguing about the practicality, cost, impact of banning CO2.
It a silly game. The very idea that CO2 in the air contains a lot of exhuast CO2 was proven wrong after two world wars in 1958 by radio carbon dating. Conceding only positions Climate Change as a difference of opinions between experts. I explained this to Prof Happer, but he loves his approach as it brings his specific expertise to bear. I can find no other explanation. A place on the world stage as a leading sceptic when the whole thing is a hoax because the very first statement is wrong. But what can you do?
Donald Trump’s statement that it is a hoax is accurate, not a point of view. But so many people shy from confrontation or perhaps enjoy the fame in otherwise very boring areas that the Chicken Little story keeps going. Their approach is that the Emperor has clothes but they are inappropriate and too expensive.
40
You would think the whole story would have to be proven before anyone was punished, taxed, deprived of power. But thanks to the UN, politicians have been taxing us for decades. Even the recent admission by the UN that the deadly scenarios painted were implausible has had zero effect on government policy. Because no one cared in the first place. For the ones receiving the cash, why speak up? And for those who know better, why offend people by calling them liars? Or fall out with the UN or the government? The whole thing is a stack of cards on a rocking boat glued together by trillions a year in cash. In Australia our biggest industry is now Climate Fiction or Fantasy.
