Heart-disease risk soars after COVID — even with a mild case

Massive study shows a long-term, substantial rise in risk of cardiovascular disease, including heart attack and stroke, after a SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Even a mild case of COVID-19 can increase a person’s risk of cardiovascular problems for at least a year after diagnosis, a new study1 shows. Researchers found that rates of many conditions, such as heart failure and stroke, were substantially higher in people who had recovered from COVID-19 than in similar people who hadn’t had the disease.

What’s more, the risk was elevated even for those who were under 65 years of age and lacked risk factors, such as obesity or diabetes.

“It doesn’t matter if you are young or old, it doesn’t matter if you smoked, or you didn’t,” says study co-author Ziyad Al-Aly at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and the chief of research and development for the Veterans Affairs (VA) St. Louis Health Care System. “The risk was there.”

Obvious risk management exercise. As reported right from the start of the inoculation program people experienced heart issues, blood clots/stroke due to the liquid not the man-made virus. That is why the pure bloods now must be rounded up and disposed of because in effect we have become the control group for the whole experiment. The first pfizzer test group was disbanded within 6 months.

GiveSendGo Defies Fa$cist Canadian Govt. Order to Freeze Freedom Convoy Trucker Funds

Christian-owned funding platform GiveSendGo said it would not comply with an order by a Canadian court to freeze over $8.6 million in donated funds destined for the Canadian truckers’ Freedom Convoy 2022, saying the court has no jurisdiction over the U.S-based company.

Once the money enters Canada, there is jurisdiction. The order will allow for the seizure of funds from truckers looking to buy gas (with a very low burden of proof – see Canadian civil asset forfeiture) based on those funds possibly having come from prohibited sources.

Combine that with Ontario’s new State of Emergency declaration and the recent recorded-phone-conversation leak of Ford announcing that he’ll shortly lift mandates – it all points to a very dangerous situation coming up in the next several days for the truckers. Gov will shut them down and at the same time try to manage the PR by announcing mandate easing. Gov is going to attempt to save face while shutting this down – but it’s going to be a mess.

Ontario declares state of EMERGENCY: Freedom Convoy drivers can now be fined $100,000, jailed for a year, have their trucks seized and licenses revoked after Biden urged Trudeau to get even tougher

        – Conservative Ontario Premier Doug Ford on Friday declared a state of emergency, threatening fines and jail
        – White House is urging Justin Trudeau’s government to use its ‘federal powers’ to end the Freedom Convoydonations to truckers on a crowdfunding site GiveSendGo

‘Goalposts move again’: Anti-boosters fume over ‘fully vaccinated’ definition change

News that Australians will require a booster shot to be considered fully vaccinated against Covid-19 has been met with a mixed response online, as one expert urges health officials to reassure the public they will not be required to get a shot “every three or four months”.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison said on Thursday that from the end of March, three doses would soon be considered “up to date” as the country shifts away from using the term “fully vaccinated”.

People who do not get their booster within six months of their second dose will be considered “overdue”.

Social media pages of news outlets announcing the change have been swamped with anti-booster sentiment, with many users saying they had been double or even triple vaccinated but would not be getting any more shots.

“Well I’ve had my three and that’s all I’m having,” one woman wrote on the ABC News Facebook page.

“Had side effects with the last two, I’m not putting any more in my body. Done my part for the herd immunity far as I’m concerned.”

Another woman said, “I’ve had two, I don’t plan to have my booster when the time comes. If that deems me unvaccinated and facing ridiculous mandates then so be it.

Booster effectiveness wanes after four months, CDC study shows

Researchers found the booster shots remained highly effective against moderate and severe COVID-19 for about two months after a third dose. But their effectiveness declined substantially after four months, suggesting the need for additional boosters, the study published on Saturday AEDT said.

The vaccine was 91 per cent effective in preventing a vaccinated person from being hospitalised during the two months after a booster shot, the study found. But after four months, protection fell to 78 per cent.

I’m in Western Australia where we now have a requirement to show proof of vaccination in order to be served at most dining and entertainment venues including purchasing alcohol at ‘bottle shops’. But if I entered a grog shop and wanted to buy a bag of peanuts and a Coke, no vax certificate needed. If the person standing right next to me wanted a bottle of Johhnie or Jack he would need to show proof.
This is all just being done to protect us of course and is based on “the best scientific medical advice” which must have discovered the virus doesn’t like teetotalers.

One month storage does not solve the winter months problem. Many of the northern countries, regions…. For example, Canada, Russia, Northern Europe, Northern US states, and so on there are cold windless days and there is insufficient sunlight. There is a surplus of green energy in the summer and a deficit in the winter in these countries.

The winter months problem requires months of storage. One month storage will not solve the problem that some years are less windy than others. The magic storage system must store electricity for years to pass power from a windy year to a year that is not windy.

The storage calculation needs to include the energy to build the wind, sun gathering systems and the battery system and the energy to replace them when they wear out.

It does not matter how much money is spend. Zero CO2 emission are impossible to achieve with sun and wind gathering and batteries for a major country. The green schemes saturate. The green schemes, no longer reduce CO2 emissions when the magic battery is required.

This is a quote from the Google Engineers who were assigned to study the problem and look for any possible solution.

At the start of RE<C, we had shared the attitude of many stalwart environmentalists: We felt that with steady improvements to today’s renewable energy technologies, our society could stave off catastrophic climate change. We now know that to be a false hope … Renewable energy technologies simply won’t work; we need a fundamentally different approach.”

As the Register notes (see quote). Obviously our countries will be bankrupt and there will be riots, if electricity costs were to increase by a factor of five, ten, or twenty. As more and more batteries and/or hydrogen storage system were constructed to try to zero emissions.

      https://www.theregister.com/2014/11/21/renewable_energy_simply_wont_work_google_renewables_engineers/

“In reality, well before any such stage was reached, energy would become horrifyingly expensive – which means that everything would become horrifyingly expensive (even the present well-under-one-per-cent renewables level in the UK has pushed up utility bills very considerably). This in turn means that everyone would become miserably poor and economic growth would cease (the more honest hardline greens admit this openly). That, however, means that such expensive luxuries as welfare states and pensioners, proper healthcare, reasonable public services, affordable manufactured goods and transport, decent personal hygiene, space programmes (watch out for the meteor!) etc etc would all have to go – none of those things are sustainable without economic growth.”

Let’s look at Snowy 2.0. Will someone tell me what’s wrong with the following analysis and question….

Was recently looking at the main works now underway at Tantangara Reservoir (about 40ks NW from Adaminaby). An Adit leads into the tunnel which is being drilled directly west to the underground power station at Lob’s Hole. Had a look at that under construction too. The water released from Tantangara will go 25 ks very gently downhill in the tunnel until the extreme drop-off into Lob’s, through the turbines creating power WHEN NEEDED at peak times. That’s early eveing and early morning. The water then ends up in Talbingo / Blowering reservoirs, a bit further west.

Later, by day when wind / solar are at their max, un-needed power from these renewables will pump the water held in Talbingo / Blowering back up into Tantangara, to await another Peak Period when it can be released again back downhill..and again and again,

OK, so when the dream of having hundreds of thousands…or millions… of Electric Vehicles needing to be charged AT ALL HOURS in Oz becomes reality, will there ever again be “un-needed power” by day to pump the water uphill into the “battery” lake at Tantangara?

BTW: I won’t go into evaporation, lack of inflows to Tantangara, especially in winter when the “water” is often compacting snow, but that is surely another problem, since it’s only about 5 years that the lake has been “full” after about 10 years of constant shrinking.

    Convoy to Canberra

We arrived in Canberra last night ready for the big event to day. All is quiet in the middle in Canberra right now but it should get busy over the next few hours. A massive crowd of campers has settled at Epic Park to the North of the city. I have no idea how many people are staying in city hotels but bookings are tight apparently so it could be a lot.

I had dinner with Kalm Keith last night. Gee Aye provided a recommendation which we took up and we dined at Au Lac vegan restaurant in Dickson. A first for me and also for Keith. Ok. I enjoyed it but may need some meat tonight.

My vegan banh xeo was a good dose of veggies but the real thing is something else and I look forward to that when I get home.

The run up past EPIC was very slow and for those trying to get in nearly impossible.

Today was an impressive sight. Trucks not part of the parade which was foot traffic only.

The crowd lined up along Northbourne Ave as far as I could see, which was about a kilometre, but surely was longer. It took about an hour and a half to file up the ramp the Parliament House. Estimates of the size of the crowd varied between 40,000 ( mine) to 1 million! Flags galore. It was very colourful.

There were very few police, which was unexpected because of what I have seen previously in Victoria (which amounted to gross over reaction). The police told us to keep off the parliamentary forecourt and not to enter the building. Apparently one man trespassed on the forecourt and was arrested.

Speeches and some musical performances followed.

I would say that the objective was achieved, which was to demonstrate that there is a large number of Australians who oppose the vaccine mandates and the vaccine passports and we are about to vote in a Federal election.

Not enough trucks present to shut down Canberra. About 20 trucks were lined up outside old Parliament House.

Hopefully the crowd number is sufficient to cause some change at the Federal parliamentary level.

Dr Malone starts talking about the synthetic RNAs that have been used at the 34minute mark by referencing a newly published paper. He mentions how the synthetic does not perform in the “normal” way that RNAs should. The synthetic “seem” to be sticking around in the body for upto 60 days whereas rnas should be degraded within hours. How do “they” know they stick around for 60 days …. well that is the milestone that “they” tested up to. I wonder what an 80 day or 100 day test would reveal. Guess what folks contraceptive pills contain a synthetic estrogen. I recall comments from years ago that suggested that coming off the pill in order to have a baby could mean an upto 2 year delay until fertility got back to normal and conception would be successful.

I’ll leave it there because if we start wondering at the incidence of autism and adhd etc since the swinging 60’s female liberation contraceptive pill days would get this comment dismissed as a conspiracy theory.

Earl. I was at school in the 60s and 70s. There were 80 kids in each age group at primary school (in two classes of 40 apiece). Also took part in many sports and activity groups with loads of kids NOT from my school.

I do not recall ANY “autistics” amongst them, though two seem to have been “withdrawn”. Also we ate everything at school picnics and sports carnivals etc (peanuts, food additives etc) and no seizures nor fits at all.

The family GP, when asked about a rash I developed on my back, said “probably contact with something. Food allergies are very very uncommon”. He was right…stopped wearing the 100% nylon school shirt and the rash vanished.

Anyhow. Autism etc, and food allergies appear to be INDUCED….since when exactly? Maybe you are correct about the Pill indeed!

Mantaray. Greetings. NZ system was based on three schooling blocks viz primary (age 5 to 10), intermediate (age 11 and 12) and high school (13 – 17, then off to uni if you stayed on till age 17/18 and passed entrance exam). As you moved through the different schools they got bigger and kids from numerous schools funneled into the next layer so you came in contact with new kids all the time. My experience was our only health worry was polio – at primary I was friends with a kid (only one I ever met) who had been crippled by it and the measles and we all took an oral vax for them. The other “mass” activity that everyone “enjoyed” was free milk during summer – which was always warm – and hot milky milo during winter. No one spoke of or personally showed signs of lactose intolerance in those days.

          Makes you wonder indeed. Cheers.

“Republic of Kiribati told Reuters last year China has drawn up plans to upgrade an airstrip and bridge”

Well, at least if the Chinese do it we know they are investing money they have earned, not like the Yanks who just print dollars and spend them making us do the work! This means the Chinese will be limited in how much they can throw around the world buying influence, so they’re unlikely to take over. Building an airstrip on an island is a lot cheaper than building and maintaining a military base, like the Americans have in Diego Garcia.

“The construction “would offer China a foothold deep in territory that had been firmly aligned to the United States and its allies since World War Two.”

As Hawaii was invaded by the USA and has remained a territory ever since, the Hawaiians never had a choice but to be ‘firmly aligned’ to America!

Anyway, it seems the Chinese don’t believe their coal-burning will submerge Kiribati anytime soon, so there’s hope for us yet!

If DC Fears Trump, He Deserves Four More Years

Still, there are things that boil my blood faster than I can tend to my passions and mediate my hatred. And one of those instances came this week when Mitch McConnell pushed the D.C. Leviathan’s lie that January 6 was a “violent insurrection” in his clear attempt to set the stage for a time in the near future when the power-mad monsters of Washington declare to the country that President Donald Trump will not be “permitted” to run for election in 2024.

I could write an avalanche of essays explaining how important I believe Trump’s presidency has been for this country. But that seems secondary to the need to roll up six years of government-orchestrated hoaxes, crimes, and propaganda used to undermine the 2016 (and, in my opinion, 2020) election(s) and shove all of Washington’s corruption right down its collective throat. Even if I did not like Donald Trump, the Uniparty’s and Deep State’s relentless efforts to prevent his 2016 election, sabotage his presidency, undermine 2020 ballot security, censor evidence of election fraud, criminalize his supporters as “domestic terrorists,” and now put Trump in legal jeopardy by framing him as having attempted to overthrow the federal government are more than enough to ensure that I would walk through fire to vote for him again. In my mind, justice demands it. The D.C. denizens have just gone too far to ever be forgiven or for their treachery to ever be forgotten.

I know we are living in communist cuckoo land now, where “The Science” is always right, Dementia Joe is always lucid, printing money creates prosperity, and men can break women’s records in sports, but at what point do the Deep State despots crafting one fanciful lie after the next finally step back and say, “Nah, nobody will ever believe this nonsense”? The Russian collusion hoax is now understood by everyone but the most brainwashed (or those invested in the lies because they were doing the brainwashing) to have been an elaborate conspiracy involving Hillary Clinton’s political campaign, Barack Obama’s FBI and CIA, and a propagandistic press laundering their disinformation as the gospel truth. Four years of Establishment Republicans (in the majority in the House until 2018 and in the Senate until 2020) giving Democrats carte blanche to legitimize conspiracy theories in Congress with outrageous claims the Republican president was a Russian spy only opened up the eyes of Republican voters to how insidiously the Uniparty in D.C. operates.

Mitch McConnell Shouldn’t Promote Media Lies About RNC Censure Of Cheney

Republican voters would like their leaders to meet the simple test of not calling them terrorists for engaging in peaceful political protest.

It’s no surprise that the corporate media are defending Liz Cheney in her campaign to help Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi hurt Republicans, but why is Mitch McConnell, the leader of Senate Republicans, joining them in their efforts?

Last year, Pelosi blew up the commission to investigate the security breaches and events of January 6 by removing the Republican Party’s picks from the committee. Since then, no Republican-appointed members serve on the committee and it has been used to seize private communications of political opponents of the committee. Even prior to kicking off Republican-appointed members, Pelosi chose rabid anti-Trump extremist Cheney to serve her on the committee.

Cheney had already been ousted from her Republican leadership position. Absolutely obsessed with opposition to Donald Trump and his supporters, Cheney had convinced her colleagues she was unable to perform her actual duties and they took the unusual step of removing her.

Republicans in Wyoming, the state she purports to represent from her home base in Northern Virginia, took the unusual step of voting to no longer recognize Cheney as a Republican.

Republican voters are eager for Republicans in positions of authority to fight Cheney and other servants of Pelosi. But that runs in direct contrast to a major effort from corporate media and other Democrats to use Republicans who support the Democrats’ agenda against other Republicans.

For crying out loud. The RNC did not call any riot “legitimate political discourse.” Why would McConnell accept that obvious lie and say that they did? It is no surprise that McConnell is the least popular politician in the country, somehow even less popular than Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

McConnell States the People Can Never Be Permitted a Voice in Politics, and January 6th Was a Terrorist Attack

Mitch McConnell and his team of UniParty leaders made a strong statement today against anyone who would ever have the audacity to stand in opposition to the upper elite within the United States government. The timing of McConnell to align with Joe Biden is not coincidental.

First, to the status of the January 6th protestors, DeceptiCon party leader Mitch McConnel affirms the united DC position that all J6 protestors were violent domestic terrorists, carrying out an insurrection attempt, intent on destroying the carefully constructed democracy the DC elites are providing to the people.

Stunningly, the second point was McConnell admonishing the RNC for rejecting Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger as members of the Republican Party platform. McConnell now states the Republican Party should have no input in determining who is supported by the Republican membership.

Thanks to soon-to-be ex-Cyclone Dovi, curve-balling its way down the Tasman Sea toward the capital/protest city (Wellington) lovely humid warm northerlies are going to give way to fresh cold southerlies. Combine the two air masses within the eye of the storm and voila!

      South Island High Country:
      Saturday – Snow to 1,800m, -6°C
Sunday – Snow to 1,000m, Hanmer Springs 60cm, Mt Hutt 50cm
(via farmerbraun’s link above, Mountains & Parks > Skifields).

Half-a-metre of freezing cyclone-snow in the middle of high summer should cause some entertaining, and verbally acrobatic, consensus-splaining from the likes of Brandolino, Renwick, Salinger, et al.

In Major Setback For Pfizer, FDA Postpones Decision On Drugmaker’s Covid Jab For Young Children

U.S. drug regulators on Feb. 11 announced they are pushing back a decision on whether to authorize Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for children as young as 6 months old.

The Food and Drug Administration had planned to consult its vaccine advisory committee on Feb. 15 on the jab for young children and could have granted emergency use authorization (EUA) for the shot within hours of the meeting. But that plan has changed, based on a preliminary assessment of data Pfizer sent on Feb. 1.

FDA officials now believe that they cannot clear the shot for children aged 6 months to 4 years until they receive data from an ongoing trial examining a three-dose regimen for the age group.

“The data that we saw made us realize that we needed to see data from a third dose, as in the ongoing trial, in order to make it the term determination that we could proceed with doing an authorization,” Dr. Peter Marks, the director of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, told reporters on a call.

Still ploughing through “The Real Anthony Fauci”, on kindle. I’d much prefer a book, but it is one hell of a read. Getting through the various war-gamed pandemics, that Gates and the military intelligence community staged this century. All focussed on propaganda, and control of populations. The book could easily be re-titled ‘Welcome To Fked’!

Her team has used super-resolution and electron microscopy, together with several other methods to identify microclots containing trapped inflammatory molecules in the blood of patients with LongCovid. She has recently partnered with several clinical collaborators to trial if HELP apheresis (a form of blood filtration) can remove these LongCovid microclots and improve patient symptoms. Soon she will be extending her research on blood clotting and possible viral protein-driven platelet hyperactivation to Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS).

Dark Money Link to Democrats’ Climate Probes

It was Democrats who nearly a decade ago first labeled the opaque funneling of millions of dollars into various political influence operations “dark money” and railed against the then-GOP-dominated practice.

Over the past two election cycles, however, Democrats have not only caught up but surpassed Republicans in channeling unlimited sums of special interest and billionaire spending through nonprofits that do not disclose their donors’ identities.

During the final years of the Trump administration, a small but powerful group of former Democratic congressional aides and Obama administration appointees created an organization to help House and Senate Democrats exercise their oversight authority over the executive branch. The group is funded through the largest liberal dark-money channel in the country: Arabella Advisors.

Liberal billionaire donor George S@ros, billionaire founder of eBay Pierre Omidyar, as well as the Gates, Buffet, and Ford Foundations, have all directed billions of dollars to the Arabella network, a vast array of groups promoting a variety of liberal causes — everything from the Paris Climate Agreement and broader green agendas to overhauling Obamacare to packing the Supreme Court, according to the conservative Capital Research Center, which has been studying the group for several years. Eric Kessler, a former Bill Clinton appointee, who started out at the League of Conservation Voters, is the founder and head of Arabella.

Schiliro and Barnett’s recent work with Democrats on Capitol Hill stirred Republican scrutiny in recent months after the House Committee on Oversight and Reform held an October hearing titled, “Fueling the Climate Crisis: Exposing Big Oil’s Disinformation Campaign to Prevent Climate Action.” After the hearing, the panel issued subpoenas to oil companies whose executives were called to testify.

n 2017, Arabella Advisors and its New Venture Fund were directly involved in that U.S. Climate Alliance, communicating with governors’ offices who were members and providing a memo outlining “ways that the New Venture Fund and Arabella Advisors might support you and the other governors’ offices with the U.S. Climate Alliance.”

In those communications, the New Venture Fund and Arabella Advisors offered to help you “quickly secure and deploy resources for the Alliance,” in order “to help governors form the secretariat, recruit additional partners, and secure fundraising and communications support for” Climate Alliance activities. It noted that “Arabella is working with several climate funders.”

Rationale for including requirement of a booster dose in adults to be considered up-to-date for COVID-19 vaccination

Early estimates of vaccine effectiveness against infection have similarly indicated lower initial vaccine effectiveness from two doses of Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccine (36-88%)7,8 against the Omicron variant which then wanes rapidly to 0-34% from about 4 months after the 2nd dose. A Pfizer booster dose appears to restore moderate levels of effectiveness against symptomatic Omicron infection (71-76%).

Effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines against the Omicron (B.1.1.529) variant of concern | medRxiv
Background A rapid increase in cases due to the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron (B.1.1.529) variant in highly vaccinated populations has raised concerns about the effectiveness of current vaccines. Immune imprinting, breadth of variant recognition, and germinal center response in human SARS-CoV-2 infection and vaccination

During the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, novel and traditional vaccine strategies have been deployed globally. We investigated whether antibodies stimulated by mRNA vaccination (BNT162b2), including third-dose boosting, differ from those generated by infection or adenoviral (ChAdOx1-S and Gam-COVID-Vac) or inactivated viral (BBIBP-CorV) vaccines. We analyzed human lymph nodes after infection or mRNA vaccination for correlates of serological differences.

Satellite images reveal China’s damning Olympic reality

A satellite image shared by NASA shows contrasting white lines in a mountainous region roughly 75km northwest of Beijing’s centre.

The image depicts the staggering amount of artificial snow dumped in the Yanshan mountains which offer steep slopes ideal for multiple events.

China has been forced to bring in close to 400 snow guns at a cost of roughly $83 million, Time reports, with Beijing’s snowfall during February vastly inadequate for the Games.

All the women boarder athletes described the artificial (icy) ‘snow’ they had to perform on as hard, difficult, treacherous, unforgiving. Apart from the bitter cold, they were also padded-up under their jackets and trousers to minimise injury in case they came into contact with said ‘hard ice’.

      Biderman Report

      Journeyman

This refers to the Biderman Report created by Dr. Alfred D. Biderman M.A., or to give it the full citation: COMMUNIST COERCIVE METHODS FOR ELICITING INDIVIDUAL COMPLIANCE. Presented at a combined meeting of the Section on Neurology and Psychiatry with the New York Neurology Society at The New York Academy of Medicine, November 13, 1956 as part of a Panel Discussion on Communist Methods of Interrogation and Indoctrination. This report is based on work done under ARDC Project No. 7733, Task 77314, in support of the research and development program of the Air Force Personnel and Training Research Center, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

This is the primary report on communist brainwashing techniques used by the Chinese and North Koreans on captured American pilots and other military members to get false confessions and propaganda statements supporting the communists and against the UN Forces fighting them. It was, and to some extent still is, the core source for capture resistance training for the US Air Force and to some extent for the other services and has been since the late 1950’s. The techniques used in Korea worked to varying extents.

Authoritarian Science and the Case of Hydroxychloroquine

The approach to medical information increasingly taken by authorities and the media is damaging to public health and scientific inquiry.

The dismissal of hydroxychloroquine as a possible Covid-19 treatment, however, was never based on solid science. The Los Angeles Times article reveals a fundamentally authoritarian worldview: medical claims are “unproven,” and dangerous for the public to discuss, until some official body endorses them—an approach that threatens public health and science alike.

Interest in hydroxychloroquine as a coronavirus treatment stretches back at least to 2005, when an in vitro study showed that chloroquine, a very similar compound, might protect against SARS infection. Based on laboratory studies and small clinical trials, medical authorities in China and South Korea recommended chloroquine as a Covid-19 treatment in February 2020.

Some doctors outside East Asia followed. Vladimir Zelenko, a doctor in a Hasidic community in New York, advocated a combination of HCQ, azithromycin (an antibiotic to guard against secondary infections), and a zinc supplement: HCQ increases the uptake of zinc ions into cells, a property that Zelenko surmised might provide antiviral effects. In an open letter in April 2020, Zelenko claimed to have treated about 1,450 patients, including 405 that he judged “high risk,” with only two deaths.

The Recovery and Solidarity trials also both tested HCQ alone, even though the most widespread protocols combined it with other medications such as zinc, and they used bizarrely high doses. Most doctors who prescribed HCQ used low doses: for instance, Zelenko’s original treatment regimen comprised 2,000 milligrams in total of hydroxychloroquine sulfate (a compound that is about 78 percent HCQ by weight), comprising two doses of 200 mg each per day for five days—quite similar to the regimen of 2800 mg total recommended by a group of Chinese researchers based on in vitro study.

As blogger Scott Alexander has pointed out, the phrase “no evidence,” frequently used to dismiss potential alternative Covid-19 treatments, is one of the most overused in science communication, applied both to assuredly false statements and to those that are likely true but simply lack sufficiently authoritative proof. Critical thinking about medicine or any topic requires weighing multiple sources against one another and distinguishing between degrees of certainty, not ruling out all sources of evidence but one and equating “unproven” with “false.” The approach to health information increasingly taken by public officials, reporters, and social media—under which any statement is “unproven” and must be assumed harmful, barring some definitive pronouncement by public health authorities to the contrary—is thus not only authoritarian but also damaging to public health and science as a whole.

If you haven’t been jabbed yet, it is clear you don’t want it. They know that. They just don’t care.

If you’ve made it this far and are thinking of giving up, remember this:

They are squeezing you because they think you are weak. They know if they squeeze, you’ll cave.

When you don’t hand yourself over, they freak out and squeeze harder.

The longer you hold out, the crazier they get.

The crazier they look, the more people notice.

The more people notice, the more people wake up.

The more people wake up, the more fearful they become.

The more fearful they get, the crazier they get.

The crazier they get, the more people wake up.

And on and on until they eventually destroy themselves.

Be brave, be strong and do not comply with insanity.
It’s literally the only thing we can do.
Don’t give that away so easily.
Make them have to fight you for it.

Yes, the crazier they get, the more people wake up but it’s far from over simply because most people still have woken up, which means it has to get much crazier. I expect by the time it’s all everyone will wake up but by that time the things that will happen will make what we’ve been through so far look like a picnic. Such is life. History repeats.

Putin imagines himself to be the reincarnation of Stalin. Why else would he annex the Crimea? Putin is counting on NATO doing next to nothing (ie: useless sanctions) as his troops invade Ukraine. Remember that, during WW2, Ukrainians were anti-Stalin. If that idiot Hitler had embraced the feelings of the Ukrainians, he could have raised more than 1 million soldiers, and the Nazis could have beaten the Soviets. Eastern Europe and the USSR have always had a tribal hatred for each other.

    12

    • #
      Graeme No.3

On the other hand Putin may be taking advantage of the current situation. A weak USA President, Germany reluctant to take action and a divided EU.
And don’t forget that it is NATO and the USA who broke agreements, not Putin. Gobachev, Yeltsin and Putin all were given stories about NATO not expanding. And it was the Ukrainians who overthrew their elected President (conveniently for NATO) and tried to change the agreement about the Russian Black Sea fleet, leading to annexation of the 97% Russian speaking Crimea (which was Russian for hundreds of years before it was given to The Ukraine as a political stunt).
Fine while Russia was weak. And consider the way the USA reacted to missiles in Cuba. Sauce for the goose.

Putin knows that the threat to stop Russian gas imports to Europe is false, and he wants Nordstream 2 operating and delivering money back to Russia. He only started the project because he foresaw the result of Germany’s decision to close nuclear and coal power stations in 2011. He hopes a bit of “sabre rattling” will work. As I have said before who moves troops around (with little concealment) months before a “surprise attack” to occur in the depths of winter. It is interesting the rush by western leaders facing a coming election (which they might lose) to appear as the saviours of The Ukraine. The worst they can do is insist on lecturing Putin in a conference or two à la Macron.
Putin is a thoroughly nasty bit of work but he is no fool and quite patriotic.
