Why does it feel that the world is in a dark place at the moment.

International news describes a breakdown of society all over the place and politicians behaving weirdly, as if possessed.

Access to law and order and justice and community’s and decency is no longer there.

    What do we do.

What do we do.” Question mark ??

I don’t know about Australia, but there are over 300 deaths per day {112,000+ per year} in the USA via drug use. The “burden” throughout society is immense.
At this rate, one might guess the number of users might decrease. That seems not to be happening. One of life’s little mysteries.

A nasty thing to say or even contemplate is to leave drug users to themselves. The drug menace will have to work its way thru the populations until it sorts itself out. The only help needed from the state is to impose the death penalty for dealing or importiation of the top 10 most used / Smuggled drugs. Fines & / or prison sentences are useless. Singapore no longer has a drug problem!!

People must learn that imbibing poisons will kill them in a very unpleasant way!!

It’s probably just returning to the normal predominant dark state of most of human history.
Most of us were fortunate to experience the relative brightness that followed WWII.

We didn’t realize it was a special time. We were led to believe that Science had unlocked the secrets of existence and we were on our way to the stars.

A UN we were told would help maintain peace and stave off nuclear destruction, has become a vehicle for the resurgence of a system of subjugation of ordinary citizens by elites, via nation state replacement.

Now we see the reversion to the homeostasis human condition of a new and as yet undefined form of strong man rule.
      A Neo Feudal resurgence.
An aristocracy based not on command of armored cavalry …
      but on command of algorithms.

        You got it there Honk.

“It’s probably just returning to the normal predominant dark state of most of human history”.

Born immediately after WW2 we had little spare money and my father was a wreck after his time in New Guinea and the Islands.

Still, with our mother’s thrift and the garden and chooks in the backyard we had good food and enough to get us to the Saturday afternoon movies. Living a mile from the beach was great, spent most of my summers on the beach.

My first job was in the local steelworks, very disciplined but run by decent people.

        Life was tough but rewarding.

About the end of the seventies things began to change and, in hindsight, it can be seen that politicians began to “make use of” the wonderful society that had been built on hard work and discipline. They sold it off to buy votes.

On the good side, my father lived long enough to be at our wedding and then spend a year with our firstborn.

In the current environment things are so flakey that it’s hard to know what to do because any effort might be redirected by the manipulators and grabbers.

” it’s hard to know what to do because any effort might be redirected by the manipulators and grabbers.”

That is the state of affairs.
And so one withdraws , and refuses to “feed the beast”.

Essentially, one goes back to the beginning and rebuilds the society based on trust , honour , and perseverance.

That does mean leaving the urban world behind, but the improvement in health and well being is the outcome.

Three important ingredients for a better world.

            Trust, Honour and Perseverance.

But then we face the problem of implementing and administering these forgotten attributes.

                Is that sarchasm?

I would suggest that most of those violent males have significant past history of that behavior.

The failure of society to confront earlier violence just encourages it and leaves the community exposed.

There’s also the unspoken issue of women behaving badly.

The People who pay to support these women and babies should be the fathers and partners, not the taxpayers, again.

Yep great news, how did they say that money was going to be distributed, because all I heard was “we need more money”.

No problem exists today that can’t be solved with copious amounts of everybody else’s money, plus tanker loads of green and purple hair dye.
What we needed was more laws, laws that make it illegal to break laws, it appears to be working for youth crime.

Realpolitik, in the broad scheme of things its not a lot of money spread over a few years.

Visualise a woman who is bullied and bruised, financially restricted and living in fear, waiting for him to get drunk again.

She only has to ring the hotline and accomodation is organised, a safety net until she gets back on her feet.

Not only politically correct, it makes good economic sense.

                Sarcasm, me, never.

Fat Man, we have always had places for women to go in bad situations, I know a dozen women employed in the domestic violence industrial complex (and youth) and have worked for these foundations for decades. My Niece was involved with a drug addict, crim, he bashed her continuously, in and out of hospital and on the second last occasion she spent months in hospital, full facial reconstruction, jaw, eye sockets, cheek bones, went back every time.
They also have to help themselves as every time, she went back, every time. She has two teenage boys that have learnt from dad and also bash her, violence breeds violence. He left her in the end, found a younger target, so the bashings will continue for someone else’s family.

The issue is that the present laws are not upheld by the courts and watered down by government, same with youth crime, it’s the government behind all problems, and they will never be a solution to the problems they created.

Drugs, drink, porn, pick the poison, throwing more money at more foundations will not fix the problems all we will get is more adds on TV and guarantee the issue will increase.
No amount of money can fix stupid.

“She only has to ring the hotline and accomodation is organised, a safety net until she gets back on her feet.” You know nothing of which you speak.

Its not my area of expertise, but if your niece and her sons were uprooted years ago and removed to a safe place the continual violence would not have happened. Prevention is better than a cure and more cost effective.

Life became easy and relatively worry free. Lessons of the past were not known by the new generations and our institutions started teaching the history they wanted for their purpose, rather than the history and life lessons that would most benefit the new generations.

Lessons forgotten or ignored will usher in a reality that teaches society the lessons again.

          Rinse and repeat.

More money is entirely the wrong idea! Having Govt throw money at societal problems caused all this ion the first place! The women involved should go back to their families, and if you can’t do that then you have committed some grave misdeeds along the way. There was a reason your mother said “He is not the boy for you, it will end in tears.. or Don’t hang out with the wrong crowd, they will get you into trouble..”

So how did we get here? The mobile society is part of it, children move away from home and away from extended families. If you want to reverse it then it will be a massive re-design of the way we live. The drawcard of the big cities with shining neon, all-night bars and dance clubs is a two-edged sword, but it doesn’t need taxpayer money thrown at the problems it causes.

Of course Govt itself adds to the problem too, it bases itself in a big city, employs tens of thousands of people who all have boy-friends/girlfriends/family they bring there, and they all need food and the services we are accustomed to, so it feeds on itself to make the city bigger and bigger. You’ve long gone past the the size when everyone knows who the useless and the thieves are in town.

Time for more self-responsibility and a much smaller Govt!

Hamburg: 1000+ Moslems Demand a ‘Caliphate’, Threatening Germans

And now this happened in Hamburg, Germany: according to police, some 1,100 Moslems—mostly, if not exclusively so, young men—took to the streets. This was so patently absurd, it didn’t escape ‘even’ Elon Musk’s notice who, upon seeing footage of the event, asked:

Surely demanding overthrow of the government in Germany is illegal?

So, here’s what happened, according to alt-news outlet Nius.de (here and below, translation and emphases mine):

Join me and other concerned citizens and send a strong message to protect our democracy and basic freedoms.

The government introduced and cut short proper scrutiny and debate on the Digital ID bill. A national identification scheme like this is a blow for Australians’ fundamental right to privacy and self determination, and is something many of us don’t want any part of. Yet Labor is pushing ahead in lockstep with other nations in the global digital economic agenda.

Minister Gallagher has stated that this Digital ID won’t be compulsory, however we know how that worked out with the COVID shots!

There’s a provision in this bill to make it compulsory should the government choose to do so. Another risk is the exclusion from society of those who choose not to partake in the scheme. There are serious flaws in this legislation such as the potential for ‘scope creep’ whereby providing your digital credentials will become compulsory. Of concern also is that the government indemnifies all agencies and service providers against liability when something goes wrong with the scheme that results in fraud or systemic failure.

The legislation is for a single government digital identification system, which is accessible to both the public and private sector, goes much further than the MyGov digital ID or any of the other digital identities that have been popping up. It puts all your identity eggs into one digital basket and will place more Australians at risk of being hacked.

Although the bill was passed in the Senate it has not yet been passed through the Lower House, which means that this is the time to push back.

The details for Brisbane’s National Day of Protest are finalised. There are some great speakers attending the rally.

As Canada sinks further into totalitarianism, my pro-freedom friends in Canada are suspicious about the motivation for the latest training exercise by the Canadian military supposedly for “door to door wellness checks”.

CAF and Huron police to conduct door-to-door “wellness check” exercise

By Quinn Patrick, True North Wire
    April 30, 2024

The Canadian Armed Forces will be part of an extreme heat scenario exercise in communities throughout Huron County, Ont. next week that will see soldiers and police knocking on people’s doors to perform “wellness checks.”

The exercise, called “Trillium Venture” will take place from May 3-5.

“This is being done to create a more challenging, realistic training exercise, and will see soldiers conducting fire training, wellness checks, simulated search and rescue operations, cooling centre establishment, as well as other related activities.”

According to Maj. Paul Pickering of 31 Canadian Brigade Group, the exercise will simulate a realistic scenario that involves a 13-day heat wave with a severe storm that causes power outages, damage to infrastructure and homes, as well as water shortages in some communities.

According to Pickering, the goal of the exercise is to get to as many area communities as possible, with soldiers going door-to-door in towns.

We have already seen how similiar woke totalitarian-aspiring governments such as Australia’s were prepared to use the military to enforce covid lockups. Formerly, using the military to enforce such civil order was unthinkable. In Australia the military were only ever used for disaster relief such as heavy airlift capability and distribution of supplies etc., never for civil order.

    NOTE To Jo.

Jo, over the last few days something has changed with the editing box making it much harder to use from a phone. The main problem is scrolling up and down when the text exceeds the height of the box which now happens too fast so you either go to the top or bottom of the text, not the location you want, and it’s very hard to get where you want.

    Preposterous plans.

Offshore wind is gearing up to bulldoze the ocean
    By David Wojick
    https://www.cfact.org/2024/05/01/offshore-wind-is-gearing-up-to-bulldoze-the-ocean/#

The beginning: “The Biden Administration has recently produced a wave of plans and regulatory actions aimed at building a monstrous amount of destructive offshore wind. No environmental impact assessment is included. Time scales range from tomorrow to 2050. Here is a quick look at some of it, starting with the Grand Plan.

“Pathways to Commercial Liftoff: Offshore Wind” is the grandiose title of the Energy Department’s version of Biden’s vision. Their basic idea is that having successfully traversed the unexpected cost crisis, offshore wind is ready to take off.

They point out that even though costs quickly jumped an average of 65%, the boom market is unchanged. The coastal States are raring to go with huge offshore wind targets and laws. In short, it is a seller’s market. Cost is no object. They note that State mandates and targets already exceed the Biden goal of 100,000 MW by 2050. But why stop there? They say that Net Zero requires an incredible 250,000 MW of offshore wind. At 15 MW a turbine, this is just under 17,000 monster towers.

The word “environmental” occurs frequently in this 62-page grand vision but it is always about environmental justice. The cumulatively destructive environmental impacts of lining our coast with towers and cables are ignored apparently not worth mentioning. Neither is cost.

Next comes transmission, where we have “AN ACTION PLAN FOR OFFSHORE WIND TRANSMISSION DEVELOPMENT IN THE U.S. ATLANTIC REGION“. While the Pathways plan covers the US, this one is just about the Atlantic because that is where the big action is now.

This 110-pager is from the Energy Department and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, which is actually building the offshore wind monster. The basic idea is simple. Instead of bringing the juice ashore individually from each giant wind facility, we will build a massive high-voltage grid in the ocean. This way, we can move the energy up and down the coast from wherever it is generated to where it is needed.”

Lots more in the article. Please share it.

They have made their insanity clear. Let’s stop them.

The West coast is somewhat saved from this environmental destruction because the water depth rapidly increases offshore due to a very narrow continental shelf. But as you have said before David, that won’t stop them trying to build floating windmills.

There is a BBC TV series from 1969 by Kenneth Clark called “Civilisation” which non-woke scholars regard as a masterpiece.

You can see the first of 13 parts here, the rest are also available online, free:

    https://youtu.be/b2lmlDp2WGg

Even if you watch the first ten minutes, many of the concerns about collapse of our Civilisation we non-Leftists think about today, he stated then, about the time the rot really started to set in.

Anyway, the BBC have re-released this series but now with all sorts of “trigger warnings” and other warnings that the attitudes portrayed were “of their time” etc. because there is nothing more offensive to the Leftist and fellow totalitarians than Western Civilisation.

Returning to yesterday’s comments about mitochondria, I have a supplement of alpha keto glutarate. This only gets metabolised via the Krebs cycle in the mitochondria (as far as I know) and it is promoted as a source of instant energy. No doubt if it isn’t absorbed by the time it hits the intestine the bacteria will chop it up.

I can’t tell if I’ve taken it or not, so I won’t be looking for a refill, but it was an interesting exercise.

FWIW – the covid jab scene

” A story popped up in Bloomberg yesterday with the remarkable headline, “China is gunning for the chief scientist of its COVID vaccine project, accusing him of ‘serious discipline and law violations’.” ”

“The Yang story shows how governments may have been suppressed debate about the jabs, but the fires of controversy have kept simmering and have never been extinguished. Three years post-vaccine, the zeitgeist continues evolving into stronger and stronger forms. True, the usual state actors are stubbornly clinging to their official positions. They keep on defending the jabs, even more enthusiastically than do the jab makers.

But the international conversation is continuing to change and grow in unexpected ways.

For example, the trip to anti-vaxx town keeps getting shorter and shorter, and more significantly, it is a one-way trip:

Nobody regrets not taking the shot.

Many prominent, previously pro-jab social media influencers are becoming anti-vaxx or at least vaxx-questioning.

More health professionals are recanting and apologizing for pushing the shots; but no anti-vaccine doctors are recanting and embracing the needles.

Doctors who opposed covid jabs from the beginning, but otherwise held traditional vaccine views, are becoming more anti-vaxx in general. Like Dr. McCullough:”

“Although obsequious corporate media is still giving pharma foot massages, the side-effects cat is out of the jab bag in conservative media, which is all over the jab story like stink on a monkey. The conversation practically ubiquitous now on conservative platforms, if not a daily feature. Here’s a recent example from the Epoch Times:”

Big Development: Fractal Technology Uncovers the Central Nervous System of the Left – NGO Funding [see video]

    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/05/big-development-fractal-technology-uncovers-central-nervous-system/

Video first shows the orgs, personnel etc in tabular form then at 6:24 shows first level interconnectedness in 3D interactive graphical form for just one org, then second level, then third level.

    Mind blowing.

Open Society Policy Centre Inc (Alex Soros) features prominantly.

This is the work of Jay Valentine’s Fractal Technology (see impressive bio) which began with the Fractal Election Management application and have since expanded with the extraordinary power of a system that leaves Relational DBMS & SQL for dead. So then they moved on:

Harnessing the power of Fractal quantum technology, the team delivered the FEC Contribution System – identifying every contribution, from every person or group to every Federal level candidate – for the last 50 years.

With one click, there is total transparency – across 680,000,000 (six hundred eighty million) records.

    Then,

Working with insightful voter integrity groups in California, Wisconsin, Texas – we delivered the Fractal Dark Money Tracking System.

    Now,

Because every fractal in the Fractal quantum system can communicate with every other fractal, the Fractal Election Management applications are fully integrated with the Dark Money system – immediately.

Teams using the Fractal Election Management app will now have access to the Dark Money Tracking System.

“The video is of ONE organization – when you see how large its network is – just imagine what we are finding looking at hundreds of thousands of such Dark Money groups” – Jay Valentine

This time is may just be a terminal issue, requiring a replacement of the entire M/c ( near impossible) , …or even starting a complete new tunnel !😳😱
This is being reported on 2GB and investigated as there is no comment officially Yet !

Snowy Hydro has confirmed the tip-off.

I wonder at what point will it be admitted that the project is a huge disaster, non-viable, and walk away from it?

Or are they going to throw our tax money at it until the bitter end?

I suspect they will officially deny a problem , claim it is just an “operational” issue, etc, whilst they determine the full scale of the situation and create a cover story !…

Or are they going to throw our tax money at it until the bitter end? …

You can be sure that if they stop throwing money at Snowy2, ….they will throw even more money at batteries.. …..many many more batteries !

They took some of the money from Snowy 2 to build a gas fired power plant in the Hunter Valley.

It was Morrison’s idea to siphon off the money when the market refused to build them, because its designed as a fail safe mechanism, when the sun doesn’t shine and wind has stalled under blocking high pressure.

My guesstimate, they will admit Snowy 2 is a white elephant and take the monies to build more gas fired power plants.

Happy May Day! With trade union offices in Gaza lying under rubble, today is a reminder that there’s no justice in society without justice at work, and that real justice means justice for everyone, everywhere, including in Palestine. Join your union and make it fight!

“trade union offices in Gaza” ?

The place is virtually a UN Welfare society, but yes, said offices do, or did, exist:

Palestinian trade union federation calls for global May Day action

Palestinian workers have always been the backbone of the Palestinian struggle for freedom and justice.

Israel’s deliberate targeting of trade union facilities, including the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions headquarters in Gaza, along with all our offices,

Hope all those “trade union” workers paid their union dues for office upkeep.

      Some “helpful wording” there

“But what happens when you build massive amounts of wind energy capacity and it doesn’t deliver — not for a day or a week, but for six months, or even an entire year? That question is germane because, on Wednesday, the Energy Information Administration published a report showing that U.S. wind energy production declined by 2.1% last year. Even more shocking: that decline occurred even though the wind sector added 6.2 GW of new capacity!”

Biden Regime Finalizes ‘Energy Efficiency’ Regulations on Residential Water Heaters Owned By ‘Almost Every US Household’

“The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today finalized Congressionally-mandated energy-efficiency standards for a range of residential water heaters to save American households approximately $7.6 billion per year on their energy and water bills, while significantly cutting energy waste and harmful carbon pollution,” the DOE said on Tuesday.

Karine Jean-Pierre admitted the Regime is going full steam ahead to restrict water heaters and other appliances by 2029.

A reporter asked KJP how many more home appliances will Americans have to replace because of regulations.

“So from this administration, we’ve seen them go after gas stoves, air conditioning units and regulate refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, now water heaters. How many more home appliances will Americans eventually have to replace them because of regulations?” a reporter asked KJP.

UK Government Secretly Installs ‘Mandatory’ Speed-Limiters in All Cars Software Update for July Go-Live

be fitted with speed limiters that keep tabs on motorists Birmingham Live reports.

The intelligent speed assistance can automatically slow down a vehicle if a driver is exceeding the speed limit. The requirement comes into effect from July 6 with all cars with the facility needing to have the mandatory safety feature installed.

New European Union and Northern Ireland rules mean cars sold in the UK will be required to have ISA fitted, regardless of where the manufacture was. Graham Conway, managing director at Select Car Leasing, said: “While it might seem like an innocent change to the car’s set-up, doing so could have serious implications.

Macquarie Bank to go completely cashless this month

Macquarie Bank customers will no longer be able to use cash at its branches from later this month as part of its transition to a fully digital model.

The bank first announced in September last year that it would phase out cash and cheque services across all its banking and wealth management products from January to November 2024.

“Cash and cheque services (deposits and withdrawals) may not be available at Macquarie offices from May 20, 2024,” the bank said at the time.

From May 20 customers will also be unable to order a new cheque or deposit book.

Phone banking services were ended at the start of March.

“Instead, you’ll be able to make payments digitally — a safer, quicker, and more convenient way to bank,” Macquarie said.

Alarming superbug from deadly eyedrop outbreak has spread to dogs

Two separately owned dogs in New Jersey tested positive last year for a dreaded, extensively drug resistant bacterial strain spread in the US by contaminated artificial eye drops manufactured in India. Those drops caused a deadly multi-state outbreak in humans over many months last year, with at least 81 people ultimately infected across 18 states. Fourteen people lost their vision, an additional four had eyeballs surgically removed, and four people died.

The preliminary data on the dogs—presented recently at a conference of disease detectives hosted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention—highlights that now that the deadly outbreak strain has been introduced around the US, it has the potential to lurk in unexpected places, spread its drug resistance to fellow bacteria, and cause new infections in people and animals who may have never used the drops.

The two dogs in New Jersey were not known to have received the drops linked to the outbreak: EzriCare Artificial Tears and two additional products made by the same manufacturer, which were recalled in February 2023.

Ah, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a soil bacteria that is not a normal human pathogen. Tough if you have a depressed immune system though, you will probably never get rid of it.

Also not stopped by the preservatives they use obviously, I suppose its surprising we don’t see more contamination like this.

Breaking: Collegiate Water Polo Association releases pathway for men into women’s water polo

‘Transgender athletes who identify as female are eligible to compete in both the Co-ed League and the Women’s League.’

Surely any women’s team playing one “boasting” a trans water polo player [with large hands] can enlist a wild card player to be trans for the day. Asked to be Sir Galahad for a day and told he doesn’t have to change with the girls, there must be someone willing to take up the challenge.

Either that or simply forfeit, but my first suggestion would draw the crowd, like Billie Jean King.
