Keep an eye on the food supply!

    Following on from recent comments…

The Left want to demonise chickens (apart from all other food animals of the Western world) because they are very efficient food producers, comparable with, or better than crickets if you dare to call insects “food”.

You also have to be careful with Leftist lies overstating the food conversion ratio (FCR) for crickets or understating others.

Make no mistake, apart from their war against Western Civilisation and traditional Western religion and its moral code, they are at war against the traditional food supply as well. Even nitrogenous fertilisers as in the Netherlands and spreading elsewhere.

Here are some references concerning the Food Conversion Ratio of chickens and crickets. Not so favourable for the insects as Leftists claim, huh?

    https://www.alltech.com/blog/how-do-you-measure-performance-poultry-industry

    FCR 1.6 for chickens.

    https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0118785

FCR 1.68 assuming 80% of cricket is consumed and reusing unconsumed food (SEE paper for various assumptions).

    QUOTE
Compared to the industrial-scale production of chickens, crickets fed a poultry feed diet showed little improvement in protein conversion efficiency, a key metric in determining the ecological footprint of grain-based livestock protein. Crickets fed the solid filtrate from food waste processed at an industrial scale via enzymatic digestion were able to reach a harvestable size and achieve feed and protein efficiencies similar to that of chickens. However, crickets fed minimally-processed, municipal-scale food waste and diets composed largely of straw experienced >99% mortality without reaching a harvestable size. Therefore, the potential for A. domesticus to sustainably supplement the global protein supply, beyond what is currently produced via grain-fed chickens, will depend on capturing regionally scalable organic side-streams of relatively high-quality that are not currently being used for livestock production.

And do you think the Elites will be eating meat or insects?

Obviously the crickets should be fed to the chickens, & through them to us if we must consume them.

Like I said ages ago – avoid real estate (and now we see why) unless you’re buying a farm out in the boondocks so you can escape what’s coming.
      Again, now we see why.😁

My post months ago on growing bumper crops of spuds is fast shaping up to be a survival guide. What’s old is new again.
Gran’s bottling and preserving of food and backyard foodbowls are about to be hugely popular again out of necessity, unless you like crickets

We are seriously looking at the future in this respect. We already have chooks/vege garden on our property, and a small fruit orchard + small house vineyard. We have a special breed cattle herd – so won’t be slaughtering unless absolute necessity. But meat easily bought from neighbours locally. If necessary we will add a milking cow or goat to our menagerie – though again, milk could be purchased directly from producers locally.

Recently we installed a diesel tank for bulk storage. We have a 10kw solar system and we are now investigating disconnecting from the national grid, although will entail a loss of income as we sell excellent power. But we figure that it will allow us to evade being disconnected when the grid “goes down” as it will in the future. We already have a petrol generator for back up, although we also understand that petrol may be rationed.

None of these precautions will protect us from deprivations like the rest of the populations – but they are, nevertheless, measures to preserve our family in this uncertain future.

          Vicki:
Check out isolation switch which you can use to direct your solar output to your property only. Probably require an electrician as the grid people want to be sure no electricity flows back into their lines when maintenance work is going on.

Yep – we have contacted a solar expert who believes it is possible with our system. He will visit soon – but is already fielding similar enquiries!

          Vicki,
The power companies are already “surging voltage” to take solar offline when the grid stability is threatened . You probably will need batteries to stabilise your system as solar is highly variable and only available during the day. I will add that I am not an expert but I am looking at battery backup for our solar and current govt policies are insanity . In terms of cost / benefit batteries don’t make sense , but loss of frozen/refrigerated food etc makes it a possible survival issue .

            Vicki

Goat – we already have a petrol generator for blackouts & when grid goes down. But we want to be able to still utilise our solar panels when the grid is down for maintenance. The only way is a cut out switch & we understand this is feasible.

              Still Interessted

Make sure that you can cold start your inverter, after the grid went down.

Its not so much to be disconnected. The grid provides the sin wave for the inverter to sync to.

Not sure if a petrol generator allows to provide this sin wave.

A battery definitely makes sense, to keep the net going. Check where to insert the battery, as if it is on the DC side, the above problem still persists.

Fine in principle, but unless you can be 100% self sufficient, you’re still going to be dependent to some degree on what can be trucked out to wherever you are, plus of course medical services.

As a doctor, medical supplies only require aspirin, some broad spectrum antibiotics, vitamins and some Zn. Pb batteries have worked for us for 10 years with no grid connection.
Meat from our farmer friends, pretty well self sufficient in fruit and vegies.

True . You will need a minimum of one acre , which costs about $20,000.
With 5 acres , you can live very well , but you will be quite fit.

Depends how productive the land is and how much water is available. Much of Australia has very poor, and very thin, topsoil. That said, I can’t kill anything on my small, urban QLD block. Everything grows like buggery.

The best land runs in a narrow strip along the coasts and makes up a pretty small % of total land area, which makes the placement of wind and solar farms on good land rather puzzling, eh?

Feed conversion. Pork and chicken v beef and lamb.

Feed a cow for 1 year, she produces one calf.

Feed a ewe for 1 year, she produces 1 or sometimes 2 lambs

Feed a sow for 1 year, she produces 24-30 piglets.

Feed a hen for 1 year, she produces ??? eggs.

That’s not the whole story, but it is the biggest factor in feed conversion.

So, five weeks have passed since the scary Soviet spy balloon was shot down and retreived. Given the political and media reaction, not to mentiion the public hysteria generated, you can be sure that if so much as a Polaroid Instamatic camera had been recovered the news would hae been splashed all over the MSN by now.

Instead there has been nothing, nada, zilch, zip.
Dare I suggest it was only a meteorological balloon after all?

Still, the entire farcical episode makes this forty year old song remarkably prescient.
Less than four minutes. Lyrics provided. Follow them closely.
Maybe the song was the actual inspiration for what happened in February.

Hot off the “limited hangout” press I suspect.

This week, the New York Times, followed by three German news outlets and British media, published reports … suggesting the bomb attacks were the work of a pro-Ukrainian group …

Denmark-based Osint analyst Oliver Alexander said … there is no “real substance in recent articles that brings us measurably closer to knowing the truth about what happened” …

Alexander said events depicted by Hersh contradict publicly available historic data on the movement of vessels near Bornholm and also contains factual errors and meaningless details …

Marine traffic information, he said, has shown the Minerva Julie making numerous unexplained circles to the north-east of Bornholm around the incident site during the period …

“Quite the coincidence for Minerva Julie, with links to Russia, to suspiciously circle the site at the exact same time as a pro-Ukrainian group decides to plant explosives on the pipes”

It is not difficult to research the vessel Minerva Julie, its Greek-American ownership and its Ukrainian manning company (based in Odessa). Alexander has links with anti-Russian group Bellingcat which in turn has links with UK intelligence services.

Seems like it! It is amazing how something pops up in the political arena, gets seized on by the media to scare the sheeple, runs for a week with all sorts of wild lies, then vanishes, and there is never any followup or investigations..

The question is, what really happened over the balloon hunting season that we didn’t hear about? It helped bury the Seymour Hersh report on America blowing up the Noordstream pipelines, but I’ll bet there was other skullduggery it covered.

It is the first time I have considered this “pence, pelosi, schumer, mcconnell”, possibly two turncoats not just one. It was hard to distinguish between wanting electoral order and acting to prevent an examination of the votes which was warranted and the sole demand of the largely peaceful crowd. Pence in particular is now suspect.

The best sign of this was when Biden was caught with many old classified documents at many locations and spanning his entire career. His garage? The FBI did not need to raid. Anyone could have read them. And Pence suddenly jumped to Biden’s defence, announcing he had a document or two. Pence has outed himself as a Biden backer all along.

As time goes on I expect you will see Pence more and more denouncing Donald Trump like Mitt Romney and it appears Pence has been anti Trump all along, almost treasonous like General Milley and so many others in the Swamp. It is interesting who Trump chooses as running mate. A dodo like Biden or a real and competent contender for President like Nikki Haley?

The others will be biden their time balancing a run themselves against securing the Vice Presidency which could lead to the Presidency next time.

Biden is a classic case of a VP chosen for his insipidity and total unsuitabilty as President. Spiro Agnew? The Obamas must be gnashing their teeth when old Joe refuses to do what he is told. For example when he ordered the total overnight evacuation of Afghanistan without giving any reason and without any planning. The Press never mention one of the greatest disasters in US military history. How many thousands died for nothing? Including allies like Australia. Nobody says a thing. Biden is their hand puppet.

Xenomorph Android malware now steals data from 400 banks

The Xenomorph Android malware has released a new version that adds significant capabilities to conduct malicious attacks, including a new automated transfer system (ATS) framework and the ability to steal credentials for 400 banks.

Xenomorph was first spotted by ThreatFabric in February 2022, which discovered the first version of the banking trojan on the Google Play store, where it amassed over 50,000 downloads.

The latest version of Xenomorph targets 400 financial institutions, mainly from the United States, Spain, Turkey, Poland, Australia, Canada, Italy, Portugal, France, Germany, UAE, and India.

Australian banks like ANZ and Westpac are affected.
The full list is in the appendix in the Threatfabric report:

The attached shows what the sun tangential acceleration looks like from 2000 to 2030
      https://1drv.ms/u/s!Aq1iAj8Yo7jNhQWeqKZ–2QXU9-r?e=drdQ2t

This suggests the current cycle will be higher than the last one.

The orbital data for this came from NASA-JPL ephemeris.

I have looked at the same data for the Muander minimum but it does not go to zero.

The accelerating forces on the Sun are very high but the accelerations are on the limit of what the GRACE satellites can detect on Earth. So tiny accelerations because the Sun is so massive. Hard to believe the force alone drives sunspots.

The latest thinking is that the accelerations trigger magnetic instabilities below the surface of the sun. A bit like a swing that gets pushed at the right time.

The uptick in sunspots that will peak around 2027/28 usually results in a big El Nino 3 years later. That puts 2030/31 as the next big El Nino. If El Nino forms later this year it is unlikely to exceed 2016.

    “The 10 Rules Of Propaganda”

“Lord Arthur Ponsonby was a British diplomat and politician, dates 1871–1946.

This keen and cagey fellow pinpointed 10 rules of propaganda.”

    “They are these:

    1. We don’t want war, we are only defending ourselves.

    2. The other guy is solely responsible for this war.

    3. Our adversary’s leader is evil and looks evil.

    4. We are defending a noble purpose, not special interest.

    5. The enemy is purposefully causing atrocities; we only commit mistakes.

    6. The enemy is using unlawful weapons.

    7. We have very little losses, the enemy is losing big.

The National Socialists invented these, the modern day socialists are still using them.

Propaganda is not just simply made up “on the go”, it is carefully crafted by wicked people who know what they’re doing.

      https://www.physics.smu.edu/pseudo/Propaganda/goebbels.html

Propagandists must have access to intelligence concerning events and public opinion.

Propaganda must be planned and executed by only one authority.

The Propaganda consequences of an action must be considered in planning that action.

Propaganda must affect the enemy’s policy and actions.

Declassified, operational information must be available to implement a propaganda campaign.

To be perceived, propaganda must evoke the interest of an audience and must be transmitted through an attention-getting medium.

Credibility alone must determine whether propaganda output should be true or false.

The purpose, content, and effectiveness of enemy propaganda; the strength and effects of an expose’; and the nature of current propaganda campaigns determine whether enemy propaganda should be ignored or refuted.

Credibility, intelligence, and the possible effects of communicating determine whether propaganda materials should be censored.

Material from enemy propaganda may be utilized in operations when it helps diminish that enemy’s prestige or lends support to the propagandist’s own objective.

Black rather than white propaganda must be employed when the latter is less credible or produces undesirable effects.

Propaganda may be facilitated by leaders with prestige.

      Propaganda must be carefully timed.

Propaganda must label events and people with distinctive phrases or slogans.

Propaganda to the home front must prevent the raising of false hopes which can be blasted by future events.

Propaganda to the home front must create an optimum anxiety level.

Propaganda to the home front must diminish the impact of frustration.

Propaganda must facilitate the displacement of aggression by specifying the targets for hatred.

Propaganda cannot immediately affect strong counter-tendencies; instead it must offer some form of action or diversion, or both.

“The Parliamentary Motive Behind the J6 Fedsurrection
    March 12, 2023 | Sundance | 376 Comments”

“Much has been made of the events of January 6, 2021, and with the latest broadcast of CCTV video from inside the Capitol Hill complex, more questions have been raised.

Within the questions: the FBI and government apparatus had advanced knowledge of the scale of the J6 mall assembly yet doing nothing? Why were the Capitol Hill police never informed of the FBI concerns? Why didn’t House Speaker Nancy Pelosi secure the Capitol Hill complex, and why did she deny the request by President Trump to call up the national guard for security support? Why did the FBI have agent provocateurs in the crowd, seemingly stimulating rage within a peaceful crowd to enter the Capitol building? There have always been these nagging questions around ‘why’?”

      Thanks Another Ian,

A quote below from your link sums up which security footage is relevant to understanding what happened on J6. The staged events and the managed movement of crowds and characters are claimed to be timed to disrupt debate and justify emergency powers. The breaking windows, shots, tear gas, crowd noise, and costume choices were evidently to create fear and uncertainty for the legislators and their staff. These events appear to be timed and located to direct their full impact towards those representatives. This is why the events themselves appear so ridiculous to anyone who had a full view of the event at the time. The participants were easily identified as ‘they are all actors’ on several occasions on the videos I have seen.

‘•PRO TIP: If you really want to get a true understanding of this matter videos of protesters walking in the capitol is not going to address them. Actual video and timeline records of events and the specific actions taken by the speaker just moments before TWO MAJOR ELECTORAL ALTERING MOTIONS WERE ABOUT TO BE FLOORED.

This crisis was developed just in time with a precise coordination to prevent those two motions to be entered into the chamber record. The two motions do not exist. The emergency powers established in the new session made sure they never could be entered. The emergency powers could never happen without a crisis.’

Will Tucker check this narrative using the footage and timestamps to understand the significance of what appears to be the orchestrated disruption of Constitutional process or will it be entirely about the sideshow, freeing the J6 prisoners?

Judging by the abrupt cessation of all J6 video coverage on TCT since Wednesday evening’s show (and ongoing threats by Schumer and others in Congress to Fox) the answer is “no.” Carlson has been neutered. When push comes to shove, he is still an employee on a very good wage.

The video could be given to Gateway Pundit for example. Maybe Speaker McCarthy knew that there would be a Democrat and RINO uproar and figured the show and tell would then cease. If GP get the video they will publish. But more to the point every defendant of trumped up charges should have access to the video to seek any exculpatory evidence for their own defense. Withholding same surely is criminal.

I think people are getting used to “energy starvation” due to expensive unreliables.

I am afraid that we won’t have major multi-day grid-down events which is what is needed to wake up the Sheeple.

They have become content to freeze or boil and see the shut-down of industry.

A de-industrialised society and one with diminished expectations of comfort (including warmth and decent food, not insects) is what we now have or are rapidly approaching and much easier for the Elites to control.

      Morning David,
At last the ABC has published a story which contains some common sense. But it’s from Senator Canavan, so will be either ignored or denigrated by our current ever-so-knowledgeable “leaders”.

David, reading that, the politicians and bureaucrats, apart from Senator Canavan, are shockingly clueless.

But it goes beyond cluelessness. They are willing participants in the destruction of Western Civilisation.

The mentality of so called “progressives” is to destroy before they have any clue what they want to build or even if they are capable of building it. Their initial focus is destruction, and this is somehow seen as a progressive thing. Thomas Sowells quote about “replacing what works, with what looks good seems to mostly apply”

Destroying education and replacing it with propaganda and dogma
Destroying the electricity grid without a working replacement
Destroying effective public health systems and replacing it with politically driven ideology
“Ending fossil fuels” without the slightest clue what that really means in a world based on petro chemicals
Legislating the end of ICE powered cars when the alternative isn’t widely available/affordable/functional and grids are failing
Destroying womens sports to pander to a tiny percentage of delusional males
Destroying the mental health system and then wondering why police and emergency services have trouble handling the mentally ill who are allowed to roam.
Destroying the parole system with namby pamby do gooders then acting surprised when these monsters go out and rape and kill again.
Destroying the Justice system with catch and release outcomes that make the police wonder why they bother.

I’m sure you can think of lots more

This is a very good 11 min video that includes an excerpt of an interview with young women who, except for one, were unable to explain what a woman was.

The success of the campaign to challenge the definition of women is based on the fact that it has never been a question in history.

A definition has simply never been necessary. It is like questioning the colour blue. This enables a prospective Supreme Court Judge to duck the question because she is not a biologist. Blue requires a physicist. But it is all a fake attack on Western society.

We used to laugh at Mao Tse Tung and his unisex outfits for men and women, but it is a serious political attack on the foundations of Western society. So is allowing men to compete as women. And in this world where minority voices are heard the loudest, it has an impact that true freedom should allows people to do what they want, be whoever they want. That is not freedom or equality. It is nuts. And people with nuts are men.

Sky News host Rowan Dean says we don’t need an Indigenous Voice to Parliament, because “we already have one”.

“We already have the Voice, in all but name … it’s called the National Indigenous Australians Agency, or NIAA,” Mr Dean said.

“The NIAA works to ensure indigenous Australians have a say in the decisions that affect them … to have a say means exactly the same as to have a voice.

“This is incredible, we already have a powerful, purposeful indigenous Australian body that has a Voice.”

What you imagined politicians talk about, as your worst nightnare, in cabinet rooms or other meetings is actually true.

If you don’t want to listen to all of this video, at least listen to what former NSW Deputy Premier said from the 3.5 min mark in the following video:

TikTok has a bizarre new filter designed to alter people’s faces to make them more attractive than they actually are.

It’s sure to add to the already huge insecurities of young people who have concerns about their looks plus are not even sure what their gender is.

It can also make older people (e.g. middle age) look like teenagers. What could possibly go wrong?

Who do you think was right?

    (Copied from elsewhere.)

What Orwell feared were those who would ban books. What Huxley feared was that there would be no reason to ban a book, for there would be no one who wanted to read one. Orwell feared those who would deprive us of information. Huxley feared those who would give us so much that we would be reduced to passivity and egoism. Orwell feared that the truth would be concealed from us. Huxley feared the truth would be drowned in a sea of irrelevance. Orwell feared we would become a captive culture. Huxley feared we would become a trivial culture, preoccupied with some equivalent of the feelies, the orgy porgy, and the centrifugal bumblepuppy. As Huxley remarked in Brave New World Revisited, the civil libertarians and rationalists who are ever on the alert to oppose tyranny “failed to take into account man’s almost infinite appetite for distractions.” In 1984, Huxley added, people are controlled by inflicting pain. In Brave New World, they are controlled by inflicting pleasure. In short, Orwell feared that what we hate will ruin us. Huxley feared that what we love will ruin us. ~Neil Postman

Does anyone know when I can get the following bathroom wall tiles in Australia?

    I am after 108mm x 108mm x 5mm or 6mm thick white glossy bathroom wall tiles.

These are a highly unusual size for Australia with current trends. They correspond to 4 1/4 inches square. I can get them from USA, UK or India but would rather get them locally before going to that expense. They are needed for an alteration so have to match existing from 1992.

    Thanks.
