Well done Annie. AS you know, if you are first in the thread it is customary to buy everyone following a drink. As you also know, that is impractical due to CV so tradition instead means you send everyone $10

Hope for your sake its a short thread.

Best of luck, they will use the Maddow defence:

Maddow’s “I’m Not a Real Journalist” Defense Prevails in Court
By Mike Cernovich Leave a Comment

Any belief that Rachel Maddow is a journalist was set to rest in a San Diego federal courtroom on Friday, with a federal judge dismissed a defamation lawsuit brought against Maddow. The judge concluded that Maddow was far too silly to be taken as a credible news source.

The lawsuit against Maddow was brought by OANN, a news network that Maddow falsely accused on her show as being controlled by the Kremlin.

Funny response to the Joe Rogan/Ivermectin from the Babylon Bee:

“Yeah, I’m still a little long in the face and am feeling a little hoarse,” he said to his podcast listeners Monday. “I’m just about ready to get back in the saddle, though. We’re gonna hit things hard when I come back, at a full gallop. The mane thing is we’re gonna ride this thing out and trot out our new stable of guests real soon here. Feels like I’m on the tail end of this thing and we can see the finish line now.”

“We’re on the home stretch and we whipped this thing pretty good.”

Rogan added that he was going to have to “pony up” a little extra to pay for his treatment this month, but it shouldn’t be a problem as Spotify bet a lot of bucks on him as their winning horse.

Hi all, a quick update regarding my legal enquiries into unfair dismissal for not taking the covid jab. First though, a big thanks to the show of support you gave me and the suggestions for possible strategies.
The legal advice I received was that public health orders overrule all previous laws where those laws contradict the health order. Where it is considered established law that informed consent must be given (which it can’t with the absence of long term safety data) and that coercion and threat of financial hardship cannot be used, the public health order has the higher standing. I was told that my best bet is to wait and see the outcome of the cases that are already proceeding through the courts as I would need 100k+ to even consider fighting the health order.

The stupidity/lack of logic of our Politicians/Health Personnel is mindblowing

      – If you are Vaccinated you can get Covid

      – If you are Vaccinated you can transmit Covid

      – If you are Unvaccinated you can get Covid

      – if you are Unvaccinated you can transmit Covid

What the heck if the difference?

The Delta variant had the same set of traits as described above for Mu.

Greater transmissibility, greater ability to avoid vaccine induced antibodies, but less deadly than the original virus. This mutation (ie variant) is why vaccinated persons were later discovered to be capable of being infected (with higher loads of virus) and transmitting or shedding the variant at higher levels. Thus, the need for a booster to target the Delta variant (shot 3).

Graeme, yes, you will have to have group representation. No way to go it alone. The logic used to you means “they” have absolute power, and as long as said action is under “ public health orders” they can do anything. I wish you all the best, and there must be organized group resistance and legal group class action. Does the Front Line Doctors organization offer any information on this other then US? Many would contribute to a legal fund to resist these actions.

          All the Best…

        OldOzzie asked:

What the heck if (is) the difference?

Answer – The load on the hospital system.

Vaccinated people are 1/10th the load on the hospital system. That is the prime reason for mobility reductions in 2020 before vaccines were available. There is compelling evidence that vaccinated people are far less likely to need hospitalisation.

NSW currently has 191 people in ICU. 75% of people have been vaccinated so the split would be 48 unvaccinated to 143 vaccinated if the vaccines were ineffective. The split is actually 155 unvaccinated and 36 vaccinated. If the vaccination was ineffective in reducing severity then 155 people would equate to 615 in ICU. So the vaccines are reducing the burden on ICU simply through their reduction in severity.

Victoria has 33 in ICU – none are vaccinated. Yet the population is now 62% at least one jab.

But the vaccines also reduce the ability to infect others because the duration of infection is shorter and fewer individuals are exposing carers to the virus.

Any country that has got the population >80% with antibodies, either by infection or vaccination, has an infection rate BELOW 1 even for Delta. That means they are gaining herd immunity with normal mobility.

Israel is struggling with COVID-19, despite high vaccination rates. What lessons can Australia learn?

New daily infections reached an all-time high of 16,011 on September 1, surpassing peak numbers seen in January (during the country’s second wave) by several thousand.

Israel recently recorded the highest seven-day rolling average of COVID-19 cases per million people of any country in the world.

Once again Old Ozzie…..the few people pushing vaxes on this blog are not interested in helping anyone. They are simple here to maybe convince passers-by who might look at this blog, to get the vax.

While the reasonable folk who believe in taking safe medicines are making no dough out of advising caution with these famous killer-vaxes, those promoting them are in for a cut of the maybe hundreds of billions of dollars = they are not to be taken seriously.

Kinda like a car manufacturer’s newest vehicles being known to burst into flames upon rear-end impact, and a shill for that car company coming on to say “but but but…we all need transport. think of what might happen if you have to walk everywhere. get one of those cars!”

I suspect it would be very interesting to discover if any Australian leaders are actually vaxed at all. An independent lab-test for SARS-CoV2 antibodies would be very illuminating indeed!

Manta ray, you are correct. It matters not how many times it is proven that the vaccines fail within six months. It matters not how many nations cities, Universities like UCSD in San Diego, or Cornell, etc…. Follow the Israeli pattern, they go on quoting studies based on initial vaccine effectiveness rooted in data from large Covid waves began before the vaccines. Within 6 months the vaccine becomes worthless. It is dangerous for transmission and infection.

A new study answers the question of are the adverse events agencies under reported? It answers the videos of Doctors and nurses reporting large upswings in physical problems. People noticed many varied health problems with cancer treatments like chemotherapy. No finally they did “ all cause” studies. They found that all those therapies contributed very little to living longer. ( However, they cost a great deal).

Well now that kind of study was done fir the vaccines based on the outcomes of the vaccine tests subjects, comparing the controls verses the vaccinated over the short study periods of 56 and 81 and 28 days. (So that potential harms like ADE and OAS are not even considered, let alone the vaccine failure 100 days down the line. The study results confirm that from the get go, the vaccines do more harm then good.

            Oldozzie,

If you go to the Israel dept of health dashboard, once you translate the hebrew into English, pretty much across the board for almost all age groups, you see a ration of 2:1 for vaxxed:unvaxxed in hospitals.

            https://datadashboard.health.gov.il/COVID-19/

The graph you want is :

            חולים פעילים – גיל והתחסנות

click on the drop down, choose the 2 top options and choose the right button.
It will show absolute numbers. Light green is partially vaxxed, light blue no vax.

            Better viewed on an ipad/laptop.

To say the shots reduces hospital admissions is not correct.

Up to 5% of victorian Ambos have refused the shot.

          NZ is similar:
None of the cases in the current Delta outbreak who were fully vaccinated for at least two weeks before testing positive have ended up in hospital. Of the 88 people who have needed hospital care so far, only one them was fully vaccinated and 15 of them had had one dose. When a two week gap since receiving a jab was taken into account, none of the fully vaccinated cases and only four people with one dose have been hospitalised. That means 84 out of the 88 cases in hospital – or 95 per cent – had not had a single dose of the Pfizer vaccine more than two weeks before testing positive.

The Delta is unlikely to even exist…..

So far no vax-pusher has explained why that Townsville delta-positive sheila with the 900+ contacts (according to Qld Health) had no transmission, nor the cairns cabbie with the hundreds of contacts, nor why the three people in Byron Bay with hundreds of csontacts had no transmissions.

Here’s the facts: the PCR test picks up something. that something needs to go through much more expensive and less common genomic sequencing to be pegged as Delta. NSW health admits is only very rarely does this, and in the US it’s about 3 out of 1000 positives = delta numbers are invented or exaggerated or darts thrown at number-charts.

You have been had…or else are trying it on with the ungullible. In either case it’s all BS. Love your perseverance however: didn’t you use to be a door-to-door Encyclopaedia Salesman?

No one argues that the vaccines are ineffective against Covid for the first five months. They all begin to fail on month 6. And they all are less effective against Delta and will positively produce vaccine resistant variations. ( W KNOW this, it always happens with EVERY coronavirus)

So STOP quoting based on initial efficacy. And stop ignoring all the vaccine harms, which from the get go are harmful. https://www.scivisionpub.co

So, let me see if I understand this:

If you get Covid and survive, you have wide and deep immunity to all forms of Covid because the immune system targets the entire virus, shell, spike, and all, and produces long lasting B and T cell memory.

If you got the Pfizer/AZ jab, that was 95% effective for the Alpha Cov19 original virus, but it is only 39% effective against the Delta variant, and lasts less than 6 months.

If you get the revised booster vax, it may or may not provide an additional 3 to 5 months of enhanced resistance to the 0.03703 chance for 65 to 85 yr olds who otherwise have a 99.6297 chance of survival.

Each mRNA vax induces antibody dependent evolution for the virus, so each time someone is vaxxed the probability of generating new variants increases with unknown future results. See: Marek’s disease in chickens, a fully fatal variation result of a non sterilizing avian vax.

Even if you get the vax, you can still suffer Covid, transmit Covid, and be a silent carrier of Covid.
This remains true for every booster vax et sequitor.

So a public health order that doesn’t result in public health because it doesn’t stop infection or transmission, somehow can order an experimental gene therapy to be required of a person without any obligation of care for health impacts and deaths, and further can result in unemployment, discrimination, denial of bank/health/commerce services if declined, because it provides no lasting benefit.

Sounds like a scam to me.

If you got the Pfizer/AZ jab, that was 95% effective for the Alpha Cov19 original virus, but it is only 39% effective against the Delta variant, and lasts less than 6 months.

The actual data in Australia shows vaccines are still 90% effective against Delta with regard serious illness.

NSW has 75% with one jab and currently 191 in ICU; 151 are unvaccinated. If the vaccine was ineffective then there should be 465 vaccinated. In fact there are only 36 unvaccinated. That demonstrates 92% effective in reducing serious illness.

In Victoria the vaccines are currently proving 100% effective; 33 in ICU none vaccinated. Population now 62% with one jab. So vaccines are achieving a massive reduction in hospitalisation.

Also 87% of the 1175 people in NSW hospitals are under 50. Old people were given priority for the vaccine and now represent a very small number in hospital – complete contrast to 2020 without vaccinations when most of those hospitalised were over 50.

they see 6 months ahead (the powers that be in Au) and no more. if you look at it this way, then it is easy to understand the logic. the hospitals wont cope with the influx. the thing is that this problem will not go away within 6 months. it has taken a year and half to even get to the stage of starting some form of herd immunity.

there is bed capacity there for the normal flu season which has been replaced by covid, the hospitals probably would have been overrun this season anyway. in fact they were overrun BEFORE covid, which is the problem here, not the virus.

we in QLD had ramping/overcapacity problems well before covid, and this problem has not been addressed. our premier is using this virus as a way of diverting attention away from her governments complete failure to actually do what they were put in power to do – build the infrastructure to cope with a increased & ageing population. now she is fearing the virus more than any normal rational person. her goal is to spread that fear as much as possible to make it seem as though her actions are reasonable. thus we get lied to daily and the media quickly backup those lies to make the situation seem worse than it really is.

imagine if any of them laid out the truth, warts and all.. it would be the end for their vaccination campaign and vaccine passports would been seen for the con that they are, so dont expect the truth to be laid bare any time soon. they simply dont think people are smart enough to comprehend their mighty understanding of the situation, even though they are too stupid to look past 6 months themselves.

and i would like to add to that that the QLD premiers solution to the problem of covid is not to build hospital capacity, but to build quarantine camps, next to a hospital that is regularly at 120%+ capacity.. fear again over dealing with the problem at hand. if she really did have an interest in protecting the people of QLD, she is doing the exact opposite of what is needed.

Those who are against vaccines won’t accept this, since it does not accord with their narrative. They just wish to highlight the (slim) evidence that the vaccinated can become infected, and be infectious, just like the unvaccinated.

But even this is disputed – with evidence showing that the vaccinated do not get infected easily, and if they do, the viral load is much reduced.

However they ignore the critical point – almost no-one who is vaccinated is winding up in hospital, let alone in ICU, or dying.

They want their cake and eat it too. They want all the benefits that vaccination and herd immunity will bring (end of lockdowns, pubs and business re-opening, travel bans lifted, etc), but will not do the socially responsible thing.

Anyway – I think they will find that vaccine mandates will cover a lot of venues and a lot of activities.

I think the Andrews government very nearly put a measure through parliament which eliminated courts altogether; something even worse is likely to be in the legislative pipeline to judge by the increasingly fanatical demeanour of the premier and this whipping up of hatred towards those who decline the offer of free vaccinations which untold billions of taxpayer money have financed so far.

          So Graeme,

The answer is that you do not know.
Whether your Lawyer does know or doesn’t, my advice is simple for a litigation. From my experience, you do not go to a lawyer or allow the matter to go to a court unless you are forced to, and if this does occur you need to know the law, the precedents and work your butt off to brief your solicitor. If you don’t you will be toast. There is no incentive for a lawyer to act in your interest, you will be paying up front and if the other party has more money or their Lawyer has more influence you will lose. Even if you win and are awarded costs you will still have lost as costs are at a nominal rate and you rarely will be granted %100.

Do not go to a court expecting Justice. Do not go to a Public Servant and expect service and do not go to your local Politician and expect representation. These were ancients traditions that disappeared when their wage increases were indexed to each others.

One more question. Are you Antifa of a rabid environmentalist? If so go for it you are guaranteed a win.

The legal advice I received was that public health orders overrule all previous laws where those laws contradict the health order.

Wow … health order sovereignty, that’s an interesting new legal concept.

Therefore a non-elected Chief Health Officer could in principle sack all the politicians, and declare an independent feudal monarchy … thereby overruling all previous laws right back to the establishment of the state.

Hmmm … I have a feeling you might have been given a fob-off answer there.

The CDC Just Made an Orwellian Change to the Definition of ‘Vaccine’ and ‘Vaccination’

For your entire life, you’ve known that when you get vaccinated, you’re protected from a particular disease. You’ve probably been vaccinated for such diseases as polio, tetanus, measles, diphtheria, and others, and you no longer have to worry about them, because the whole reason your parents took you to the doctor to get those shots was to protect you from those diseases. Polio, in particular, has been completely wiped out in the United States thanks to the immunity created by vaccination.

This is why the CDC says that vaccines provide immunity, which means that we can be exposed to a disease without becoming infected by it.

    At least they used to.

A recent change on the CDC website should disturb all of us because it appears that the CDC is trying to change how we understand vaccinations.

Here’s the “Definition of Terms” for Immunization as captured on August 26, 2021. I’ve highlighted the key points.

Immunity: Protection from an infectious disease. If you are immune to a disease, you can be exposed to it without becoming infected.

Vaccine: A product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease, protecting the person from that disease. Vaccines are usually administered through needle injections, but can also be administered by mouth or sprayed into the nose.

Vaccination: The act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce immunity to a specific disease.

Immunization: A process by which a person becomes protected against a disease through vaccination. This term is often used interchangeably with vaccination or inoculation.

These definitions have been in place since at least May 16, 2018.

Here’s the “Definition of Terms” for immunizations now, which was updated on September 1, 2021, with changes highlighted.

So in a week, a vaccine went from being something that “produces immunity to a specific disease” to something that merely “stimulates the body’s immune response against diseases,” and a vaccination no longer “produces immunity” to a disease, just “protection” from a disease.

Does anyone else find this disturbing? Why did the CDC suddenly redefine “vaccine” and “vaccination” to make them sound similar to your basic non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug or a prescription drug you have to keep taking regularly?

No explanation for the change is given.

Most of the population would have the same understanding, that vaccines make one immune, so they are probably getting vaccinated undsr that illusion. The 95% effectiveness would glide past their understanding.

These guys could have shot themselves in the foot if it becomes widely known, as they suggest, it may increase vaccine hesitancy 😉

        If troubles reading above

Vaccination (pre-2015): Injection of a killed or weakened infectious organism in order to prevent the disease.

Vaccination (2015-2921): the act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce immunity to a specific disease.

Vaccination (Sept 2021): the act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce protection from a specific disease.

In science as knowledge increases it is necessary to revise definitions to reflect these changes. It isn’t some conspiracy as is shown by the necessity to be vaccinated yearly against the ‘flu virus to maintain protection.

This is from the Influenza (flu) immunisation service which was updated June 21 2021
        https://www.health.gov.au/health-topics/immunisation/immunisation-services/influenza-flu-immunisation-service

“Influenza (flu) vaccines are given as a needle each year to protect against the most common strains of the virus. They can be provided through a range of recognised immunisation providers. If you’re eligible, you can get the influenza vaccine for free under the National Immunisation Program (NIP).”

        and

‘Influenza (flu) vaccinations are the number of Australians who have been vaccinated for influenza in 2021 as reported to the Australian Immunisation Register.”See the weekly immunisation figures.”

It is plain that concurrent use of immunisation and vaccination is perfectly acceptable

Vaccines that give lifelong immunity and vaccines that don’t are still agents that stimulate the immune response and it is that stimulation that defines a vaccine

I also believe that tetanus boosters are common at the time of potential infection.

Multiple vaccinations and boosters are quite common in my experience.

The AZ jabs for me involved a 5 minute wait at the GP reception and they insisted on a 20 minute recover in the reception after each jab that were spaced 3 months apart. Each jab done in 1 hour including a vast to the grocer. I had mild side effects that gave me some confidence that my system responded to the jab.

T°he COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, virus was created in a lab.  The vaccine was created to address that virus. However, the vaccine created variants.  The variants require boosters…. which generate variants…. which require boosters…. which generate variants.   It seems like one long ronacoaster that you get locked into once you take the vaccine, and you ain’t getting off until the strain of the variant gets so weak that it no longer requires a booster to chase it.

If you accept the virus was created in a lab, then this quest to chase its variants does actually make sense.

      https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-01529-3

and as for variants, influenza wasn’t created in a laboratory but there are several variants in each of the four major strains. This is why yearly vaccination against flu is necessary

That was a quote from the article, here is the next paragraph:

This was the warning message sent out by renowned vaccine researcher Geert Vanden Bossche [SEE HERE], who received his DVM from the University of Ghent, Belgium, and his PhD degree in Virology from the University of Hohenheim, Germany.  Dr. Bossche sent an early warning letter about this exact scenario to the World Health Organization.  [pdf LETTER HERE].

Dr. Bossche is not alone in his research and opinion.  This is now a widely distributed discussion amid the small world of vaccinologists, vaccine researchers and vaccine creators. The man-made nature of the virus (it was not naturally occurring, combined with a man-made mRNA approach to a vaccine as a solution, has resulted in a process that is dangerously undermining the human bodies’ natural immunity process.

Again, bottom line.  The vaccines are likely creating more danger, through mutations, than the original SARS-CoV-2 virus itself.

              But it is, GA.

You create an environment where the Alpha variant is squashed, then as soon as a new variant appears (delta) that isn’t squashed, that variant takes over.

The action of the vaccine has caused the rise of the new variant.

“Vaccines do not cause variants. Variation comes from random mutation”

To elaborate a little, for those that may not know much about random mutation as viruses multiply random errors in copying their genes can cause change the surface proteins. This is called antigenic drift. These changes may not be recognised by our immune systems so the virus can multiply and cause infection.

Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution is based on the changes to genes caused by random mutations although he knew nothing about genes and nucleic structures. However his theory was proposed later than that of Lamarkewho claimed in 1809 the changes occurred due to adaptive changes. A well known example of Lamarkism is that giraffes grew long necks by continually stretching to eat theleaves of high branches. Darwin’s theory of evolution published in his book Origin of species” in 1859 was based on natural selection. In this scenario giraffes with long necks had an advantage over those that didn’t as they could reach high leaves and so were able to survive and procreate while those without long necks who couldn’t reach high leaves gradually died out. He didn’t know the reason for the long necks was possibly due to a change in the DNA due to random mutation.

So the change or mutation in the Delta variant seems have been beneficial to SARS-CoV-2.

Are you really attempting to claim that environmental factors have no effect on evolution?

Let’s suppose a child ran onto the road and the driver was coming … the driver saw the child and swerved the vehicle, then crashed into a nearby tree. Most normal people would say that the child caused the accident and not the driver … even though it would be possible to make the literally correct, but highly misleading statement that the driver chose to hit the tree.

Your claim “Vaccines do not cause variants” is wrong, and almost certainly deliberately misleading.

Your explanation “Variation comes from random mutation” would apply to every living creature on Earth, and yet it is completely well understood by Biology that creatures do adapt to their environment. Bacteria also have random mutations, but the outcome of many random mutations in the presence of antibiotics is that bacteria have evolved antibiotic resistance … hence they have adapted to the situation.

Exactly the same thing happens with a virus … each mutation is random, but currently the environment selects for vaccine resistance, as per completely normal evolutionary theory.

You are smart enough to understand this I’m sure, so why make a misleading statement? What are you attempting to achieve?

But the question is “why do they adapt to their environment?”

Random mutation is a major cause why creatures adapt to their environment If a “creature” has a random mutation that permits it to survive when its environment changes then its progeny will also have that change enabling them to survive. .In contrast a creature that does not have that random mutation will not survive the change in environment and will eventually die off. Thus the creature that has inherited the random mutation eventually becomes the dominant member of that species.

All living creatures have random mutations when they replicate. There is nothing special about this … no living creature exists without a tendency to adapt.

A virus has greater number of mutations because of lack of error correction, but it also reproduces much faster, therefore it adapts faster.

The adaptation mechanism is “Natural Selection” and you could look it up yourself but here is a starter.

                https://evolution.berkeley.edu/evolibrary/article/evo_25

All of this is getting away from the original point which is that when a vaccination program changes the environment for the virus, you would expect adaptation to that changed environment. Therefore the vaccination program caused the change, as per the normal meaning of the word “cause”.

What I said is not in any way a longer version of what you said, and that is perfectly clear. On Global Warming I would like to propose the formation of a Friends of CO2.

Everything we love about this planet is made or decorated by two things, CO2 and H2O. All living things, people, animals, birds, insects, fish, algae, lichen,.. The rest is inedible rock.

And they all consume CO2 because life is powered by sunlight and the creation by plants of hydrated CO2, carbohydrates and finally hydrocarbons. Plants even ate all the CO2 until there is precious little left but we have a new oxygen atmosphere and we can breathe. Fish invented that and they breathe underwater. But we do not have the huge forests of ferns and the dinosaurs of the Carboniferous and later ages, which is on balance a good thing. You can have too much CO2 and too much life because we too are edible.

So after 150 years of “Global Warming”, what is the nett result? An increase of 1.5C over two lifetimes, 0.7C per lifetime.

And an increase in CO2 of 50%. That has dramatically increased crops by 50% as admitted by even the CSIRO, NASA and more. And the world population has increased by an astounding 700% and life on earth is better for most than it has ever been, particularly in China. And few are starving. Life expectancy in some countries has really soared, especially India. And infant mortality, maternal mortality has plummeted. And no dinosaurs. The odd shark and crocodile and turtle though.

And we owe it all to fossil fuels. Fantastic! So what is the downside? +1.5C? Who could even feel a change of 1.5C? It’s small price to pay. For some cold countries, any warming is good. And for the tropics, they are water moderated anyway.

We need more CO2. It’s great stuff.

The big fear as in the 1970s is that temperatures go down fast, CO2 goes down and we all starve presaging a new ice age. Now that’s scary and it has happened before. So keep mining that free coal. And coal, oil and gas are free, as free as the wind and the sun and the rain.
It’s a gift and we are so lucky that the UN demands today that we should keep our coal all in the ground for someone else. Any idea who might want it?

Lessons for all in UK’s uncomfortable energy transition

Britain’s uncomfortable experience of energy transition, exposed this week, should be a lesson for Australia.

As winter fast approaches, energy prices have spiked to record highs thanks to a perfect storm of unusually calm weather shutting down wind farms, which form the main renewables engine for the country, and a global shortage of natural gas, which typically supplies almost a third of Britain’s electricity.

The stress in the British energy system comes as Australia plans to restructure its National Energy Market. That includes the new idea that energy suppliers will be paid for capacity to deliver energy as well as the energy itself. This is already operating in Britain and thank goodness it is.

Most of Britain’s coal-fired power station have been shut down. But the need for coal through the transition and increasingly through this winter is an inconvenient truth just seven weeks ahead of the United Nation’s COP26 conference which the UK is hosting in Glasgow (where it will be both dark and cold). Britain will be flying the flag on net zero emissions.

A number of heatwaves of the European summer have caused the underperformance of wind. The three-day heatwave in Britain this week did the same thing to wind turbines. As a result wind, which has provided an average 18 per cent of the electricity over the last 12 months, was contributing less than 5 per cent, and the coal contribution had doubled to 5 per cent. Around 45 per cent came from gas.

A new capacity market in Australia recommended by the Energy Security Board’s Dr Kerry Schott was criticised by some renewables providers that believe it is an underhand way to delay the exit of coal.

The Comments are not kind to Renewables.

A useful phrase I read recently is the problem with wind drought. It can happen in summer or winter, any time. Then what do you do?

Plus what everyone overlooks, energy commandability. Our modern world wants power when the aircraft is in the air, not when the energy is available. When you want to go up a hill, not when you are parked. And you need the lights on and the heart bypass machine and the lung bypass machine to work during an operation and not to stop or hesitate or ramp up and down.

So how do you do that at night in a wind drought?

I have three petrol generators ready for a dangerous summer. The risk isn’t fire or heat. The risk is widespread blackouts to add to our misery. All through trying to please the communist UN while we pay the world’s biggest carbon tax, hidden by law in our electricity bills. The Government cleverly does not touch the cash, but administers the robbery. Legislated theft of the people’s money for friends of government was stopped with Magna Carta.

If someone would challenge the RET in the High Court, it would be thrown out. No government has the right to cash except as General revenue and no government has the right to order the wholesale theft of people’s money to reward owners of windmills and solar panels. This law was so effective, it was copied in the UK. Like Australians, the poor sods have no idea they are being robbed.

Pretty much what Sth Australia does. Have half a billion dollars worth of standby generation and a token battery at the ready. Because duplication and management complexity will always “put downward pressure on costs”

I’m not so sure that the big battery is a token.

I think of it more as an arbitrage machine. Buy when electricity is cheap. Sell when it is expensive. Nice work if you can get it.

The big battery proved useful, for the wrong reason.

The storage itself amounted to a few minutes so next to useless.

But that was enough to keep the grid voltage, phase and frequency stable when a windmill went suddenly offline and prevent catastrophic collapse of the entire system.

Think of it as the Rockettes line of high kicking dancers. How often, how high and when are all critical or it collapses into farce. And not only did you lose everyone, it is far worse because the windmills had to start carefully one at a time to enter the line, matching height, frequency and amplitude perfectly. It could take hours, even days to get the grid started again. All because the grid is AC.

This was Tesla’s argument against Edison. But Edison could cover great distance and Tesla could not and the world went to AC. However with HVDC, Tesla has finally been proven right, super high voltage and very small current, even greater distances at greater voltages.

But the benefit of the $100Million+ SA battery was a total fluke. Which shows that with politicians making really bad uninformed and even wilfully stupid decisions, serendipity sometimes works.

I am always amazed that historians credit winning the Battle of Britain to the fact that ‘the Germans’ switched to bombing London instead of slowly destroying the British aerodromes and aircraft and radar stations. At great cost in human lives and property, it saved the day.

But the reason they switched is forgotten. Winston Churchill outrageously sent three bombers on a near suicide mission to bomb Berlin itself. There was no real damage but Hitler and Himmler were made to look fools. Goering promised that if a single bomb fell on Berlin, the people could call him Mr Meyer, a peasant. So Hitler immediately ordered the mass vengeance bombing of London. Later the German air raid sirens were known as Mr Meyer’s trumpets.

Little things like this make a huge difference when you get a politician like Hitler calling the shots. South Australia had Weatherill. Now I suspect everyone is quietly getting huge batteries for their wind networks, like the one big battery which caught fire in Geelong.

Britain’s uncomfortable experience of energy transition, exposed this week, should be a lesson for Australia.

Australia is leading the world in Random Energy lessons. South Australia is fortunate enough to be connected to a massive battery, called Victoria. As a result SA has been able to achieve very high levels of RE. SA leads the world in the lessons on RE. They have had the whole place blacked out for a few hours. They pay the highest electricity prices on the globe. They have a whole grid administrative group that is required to direct gas plants and RE plants on and off on a daily basis. They have installed synchronous condensers to maintain stability when the RE does what it does – behaves randomly.

The latest lesson is to subsidise coal generators to stay available without producing so they can provide back up when needed. So subside RE to build their generators; add massive extra infrastructure for transmitting power from remote, variable generators; add condensers and batteries to provide automatic and rapid response grid stability then subsidise fossil fuel plants to remain economically viable – all the time taking money out of consumer pockets (mostly in other states now)

However on the bright side for Australia, it takes a humungous amount of raw materials to build the useless RE generators. This is FABULOUS news for Australian extractive industries and the Australian economy. It will be a sad day for Australia when the world wakes up to the fact that RE is an illusion of something useful.

And on the previous post on Climate Changes to animals, that’s true. Humans are much bigger and healthier and there are a lot more of them since GLobal Warming started. Why not animals? More food, more floods/water, higher temperatures, you would expect animals to grow bigger. But it is unlikely, laughable that a tiny 1.5C is doing all this and forcing adapation. However massively increasing the the food supply would explain it.

So is there a problem if elephants have bigger ears and the odd parrot has a slightly bigger beak or wingspan. Or there are simply a lot more of them. You would think the WWF would be thrilled.

And the improved hunting habitat in the Arctic means the polar bears are getting bigger, fatter, nastier and in record numbers. Oh Happy Days. All due to Climate Change? Global Warming? No, the increase in CO2. And if it causes the other things, they are obviously helping a great deal.

Let’s hear it for wonderful, life giving CO2 and all the free coal and gas and oil. The same oil which saved the whales. The same coal which saved the forests of Europe. And the same coal which made international transport possible.

And coal of course allowed the production of steel rather than the cast iron available from the lower temperatures of charcoal from wood. (Char Coal). And this steel which started and fuels the Industrial Revolution which has brought the highest standard of living in human history and allowed the mining and that in turn allowed us to enter the electronic age. Plus steel reinforced concrete which has transformed our buildings, freeways, airports, houses, shops, bridges. Without coal, we have nothing. Without coal we could not build steel windmills and mine for the materials needed to make solar panels.

So of course the UN wants to send us back to the Medieval times and the Islam*sts want to take us back to the Dark Ages. It is amazing to me that anyone agrees with this. Anyone at all.

Mr. Biden is going to visit the attack sites on 9-11.
There will be carefully edited “news” coverage.
Think of it as a remake of “Triumph of the Will”.
    It will be difficult to edit out the protestors and hecklers;
consent of the governed is in the process of being withdrawn.
There is much talk of new restrictions, but the reality is
that more than token enforcement will meet resistance. Look in any crowd
shot for the mask around the neck look; token compliance at its best.
If, two weeks from now, our first football weekend was not provaably a superspreader event,
in most of the country the Dakota/Florida/Texas Model is likely to take over no matter
the screeching of the tiny tyrants.

Geert Vanden Bossche, DMV, PhD, independent virologist and vaccine expert, formerly employed at
GAVI and The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

To all authorities, scientists and experts around the world, to whom this concerns: the entire world
    population.

I am all but an anti vaxxer. As a scientist I do not usually appeal to any platform of this kind to make a
stand on vaccine-related topics. As a dedicated virologist and vaccine expert I only make an exception
when health authorities allow vaccines to be administered in ways that threaten public health, most
certainly when scientific evidence is being ignored. The present extremely critical situation forces me to
spread this emergency call. As the unprecedented extent of human intervention in the Covid-19-
pandemic is now at risk of resulting in a global catastrophe without equal, this call cannot sound loudly
    and strongly enough.

As stated, I am not against vaccination. On the contrary, I can assure you that each of the current
vaccines have been designed, developed and manufactured by brilliant and competent scientists.
However, this type of prophylactic vaccines are completely inappropriate, and even highly dangerous,
when used in mass vaccination the positive short-term effects in individual patients, but don’t seem to bother
about the disastrous consequences for global health. Unless I am scientifically proven wrong, it is diffcult
to understand how current human interventions will prevent circulating variants from turning into a wild
    monster.

Author: Geert Vanden Bossche, DVM, PhD (March 6, 2021)

In times of universal deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

The key questions are whether the treatment benefits the individual and whether the treatment prevents the infection being passed on to others.

Countdown to COP26 on the road to failure
    By David Wojick
    https://www.cfact.org/2021/09/07/countdown-to-cop26-on-the-road-to-failure/

    The beginning:

“It is less than 60 days until COP26 convenes in Glasgow. We can expect a flood of climate horror stories (including flooding). But there will also be some discussion of the actual issues, so here is a brief breakdown of the big four.

Keep in mind that the alarmists have a bit of a civil war going on, between what I call the moderates and the radicals. The moderates have been at it for over 30 years and the radicals are fed up. The moderates now have a net zero target of 2050, while the radicals want 2030, so the difference is pretty stark. The last two COPs were partly paralyzed by this split, especially COP25. This fight will be a major factor in Glasgow.

The first two big issues are old business, money business to be precise. Of course it is all about money but these two are that by name trading and finance.”

The analysis is in the article. Please share it.

    COP26 could be great fun!

COVID doesn’t account for troubling trend of unexplained US deaths

    Credit: Rice University

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, deaths attributed to many other health conditions have spiked in the U.S.: Alzheimer’s, heart disease, cancer and diabetes, for example, have killed far more Americans than would be expected in a pre-pandemic year.

This “excess mortality” data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) underpins a new dashboard created by Rice humanities computing researcher John Mulligan that sheds light on this troubling trend.

“COVID numbers are not the end of the story,” Mulligan said.

In Texas, for example, when you tally the number of people who died of heart disease or hypertension between December 2019 and August 2021, you would expect to see about 53,000 total deaths, based on the average from previous years’ CDC data. Instead, 60,264 Texans died of these afflictions during this time, about 7,500 more than would have been expected in a non-pandemic year.

Since last year, the Journal of the American Medical Association and other publications have warned that official counts are underestimating the number of deaths associated with the pandemic. Ongoing studies indicate the number of people who would not have died in any other year has been undercounted by 20% to 36%.

“This is not a normal year,” Mulligan said. “You get rid of COVID deaths, and we are still well above the average.”

These excess deaths represent a large, looming and mostly unaddressed public health crisis, especially as recent spikes in rates of positive cases show the pandemic is simply not over. Mulligan’s dashboard, developed in partnership between Rice’s Center for Research Computing and the Medical Futures Lab, shows this ongoing crisis unfolding in stark detail.

American Education Is Rotten from Top to Bottom

In reading the “overview” of Dr. Jill Biden’s 2006 doctoral dissertation from the University of Delaware, I am reminded just how rotten, from top to bottom, are America’s schools of graduate education. That a doctor of anything could write a sentence like the one that follows speaks to the historic worthlessness of most graduate programs in education:

Three quarters of the class will be Caucasian; one quarter of the class will be African American; one seat will hold a Latino; and the remaining seats will be filled with students of Asian descent or non-resident aliens.

An advisory committee had to approve this mumbo-jumbo. Apparently, none of the committee members noticed that when you add three fourths to one fourth, you’ve pretty much exhausted all the “fourths” available — all the seats as well. Although the temptation is to write Dr. Jill’s dissertation off to the power of political pull, her dissertation, from my experience, represents something of a norm in the illiteracy, innumeracy, and race obsession of grad-level education.

      Ha!

We received a parent survey from the NSW education department this week, requesting responses to various statements about our children’s high school education. On the very first page, of a very long questionnaire, were these 3 statements regarding mathematics:

      “The school provides enough resources for me to help my child with their mathematics learning at home, agree or disagree;

      I am confident that I can help my child with their mathematics homework, agree or disagree;

My child’s performance in mathematics is not that important for their future career, agree or disagree.”

So their message seems to be: if you aren’t well educated to teach your kids high school mathematics yourself, we’re going to outsource it to you anyway… but, on the bright side, don’t worry because mathematics isn’t all that important to their future anyway.

Biden’s Approval Rating Among CNN Employees Sinks To All-Time Low Of 98%

“This is extremely concerning,” said CNN president Jeffrey Zucker. “In spite of our best efforts to support our dear president, his approval among our employees has fallen to just 98%, down from a previous low of 99.2%. Rest assured—we will find who these employees are who disapprove and ensure they undergo disciplinary measures.”

Some anonymous sources have suggested that Biden’s approval rating at CNN is actually much lower, but that most employees have lied on the survey in order to keep their jobs. To find out who’s lying, Zucker will be mandating lie detector tests for all employees.

The survey did confirm, however, that CNN employee approval of Communist China, Big Tech, and Jeffrey Toobin still remains at a healthy 100%, at least among those named Jeffrey Toobin.

      Breitbart:

President Joe Biden’s approval rating has collapsed to 39 percent, the lowest point of his presidency, according to a Wednesday Economist/YouGov poll.

While only 39 percent percent approve of Biden’s job performance, 49 percent disapprove, a drop of six points in one week.

Overall, Biden’s evaporating approval numbers are primarily due to Democrats, who have begun abandoning him amid the challenges of inflation, Afghanistan, and coronavirus. Nearly nine out of ten Democrats had approved of Biden for almost half of his first year, but Democrats have since dropped support of the president by nine percent in one week (77 percent from 86 percent).

Australia’s COVID response is a warning for how easily core freedoms can erode away in even a well-established democracy.

The 18th-century English philosopher Jeremy Bentham came up with the idea of the panopticon, a prison designed to allow all the prisoners to be observed by one guard.

What even Bentham couldn’t conceive of, despite his creative musings about schemes of perpetual surveillance, was a society like contemporary Australia.

Heretofore an honorable member of the Free World, Australia has lurched into a bizarre and disturbing netherworld of bureaucratic oppression in the name of public health.

Australia’s COVID-lockdown mania has been so all-consuming that one assumes much of it would make Anthony Fauci blanch.

At the start of the pandemic, Australia determined to squeeze out COVID with lockdowns and travel restrictions and, as an island nation, had considerable success. It was the last of the G-20 countries to hit 1,000 total COVID deaths.

But this created an unrealistic expectation that Australia could have “COVID zero” as a goal for the duration, and use targeted restrictions and surveillance (“circuit-breakers”) to maintain it.

As the pandemic has dragged on, this has become completely untenable and done violence to liberty and common sense in a great English-speaking nation.

Lockdowns have cut a swath through the norms and conventions of an advanced Western democracy, from the suspension of a state-level parliament to the banning of protests to military enforcement of the COVID rules.

With the Delta surge, more than half of Australians are locked down, often in response to a tiny number of cases.

Australian authorities don’t fool around. State premiers have vast powers, and use them. In Melbourne, located in the state of Victoria, a curfew is in place, and limits apply to people leaving their homes. There are hefty fines for noncompliance.

The spirit of the lockdowns was perfectly captured a few months ago by the chief health officer of the state of New South Wales who warned, “Whilst it is in human nature to engage in conversation with others, to be friendly, unfortunately this is not the time to do that.”

Ah yes, the public-health threat of over-chattiness.

The Australian news media might as well be an arm of the public-health bureaucracy, producing stilted and hysterical reports about lockdown violators worthy of some dystopian future.

I think the unspoken reality is just like happened to Hitler, at some stage when people have had enough, so eventually something untoward could happen to a political leader as a result of the monstering and overt abuse of the population under the pretend covid public health “crisis”.

I am in no way advocating retaliation, in fact abhor violence of any sort.

I do however understand human nature and history.

People will eventually work out covid is relatively harmless, and vengeance against the powers that be will likely be swift and brutal.

The only reasons ACT is holding to such low numbers is:
      1. They ordered the jabs and gave it to themselves first before releasing extra to NSW GPs.
      2. They are a rule-abiding mob to the point of obsession. My sister-in-law lived there for a good part of her adult life and considered Canberrans to be the best queuers; always orderly and polite – never a queue jumper.

Victoria would have done well on the 6th lockdown without the “freedom rally” (aka major Covid spreading event). Also turned the corner sooner if Vic GPs had been given priority access to vaccines like NSW. Dan is angry over the priority treatment in NSW.

Kerry Chant is beginning to relax. She can see the vaccines are starting to crest the current wave. She is now talking up 90% first jab by the end of September.

If lockdowns worked, there wouldn’t be a second lockdown, let alone a sixth lockdown and freedom fighters.

Travis. The reason there are more lockdowns is usually because the borders were leaky, not that the lockdown failed.

l understand that you promote hiding within secure state borders Jo
but really you are an Australian first then a western Australian, this is an Australian problem
Scomo thought he was a smart guy giving the states there own say over their borders but all this has done is create division and separation, state against state,
this Wu Flu did not originate in Australia and Scomo should have had a handle on our country’s border but has not because he does not want the responsibility, not going that well for him lately though
FFS they allowed Bruce Jenner over to do big brother as well as all the celebrities who can travel here and interstate when ever
this BS about state borders is like a dog chasing its tail, as soon as you open up off you go again
what people should be worried about is how to get the EUA dropped so we can start using treatments that l know you agree with
your state will go @rse up as soon as you have to open up because you have not been tested
we are all wasting time on BS when the real answer is the already peer reviewed proven treatments
lockdowns and lockouts do not work if they did there would only be one 14 day lockdown needed
            as Travis said
l sincerely hope you and your state do not have to endure the misery of the lockdowns and curfews

Our levels of vaccination were functionally little better than NSW. We locked down and stopped the spread is the main reason with, I am sure, some minor component of vaccination assisting.

Which means that considering that the vaccinated are effectively mini covid superspreaders, as soon as restrictions are lifted mud october that within a month it will be deja vu….

Israel has demonstrated the futility of high vaccination rates and a stubborn 2:1 ration of vaxxed:unvaxxed in hospital.

likely all they have done is set up further waves and an excuse for more useless booster shots. I predict by jab 5 people will start dying rapidly as thier immune systems crash…..

Gee Aye, again with the Big Govt, Big Pharma line. How very unsurprising.

And in Townsville the delta-positive sheila had 900+ contacts, long before any locking-down was done (it was only AFTER she’d done the super-spreading they locked down) and still the “We stopped the spread” is as idiotic as alwaysThere was no spread.

And then the same deal with the cairns cabbie, and the three “super=spreaders” in Byron, and the tens of thousands of freedom Marchers, and the 40,000 at the Rugby Match in Brisbane where the “super-spreader” yachties were present. There was no spread

And then, of course, the tens of thousands of BLM marchers last year. And then the naughty Jewish engagement party in Melbourne, and all those ‘irresponsible” border-rule evaders. and and and. There was no spread

The SARS-CoV2 (alleged new; as if!) virus very clearly DOES NOT SPREAD very easily at all. That Big Govt tin-foil hatters reckon it does, despite all the evidence = we now know why Nigerian Princes, Ab-Blaster salesmen, Beautiful Russian Brides, Gambling Systems and every other scam works time after time….One born every minute.

The gullible are always being scammed by the unscrupulous. Which description best suits Gee Aye? (editor: Both?)

Mantaray, Covid is a cluster spreading disease. 8 out 10 people don’t spread it much, but 1 or 2 out of ten do all the spreading. The Townsville and Cairns examples were not superspreaders. That’s all.

There were some cases related to the BLM rallys in Melbourne, but of course, the media didn’t seem too excited about mentioning them.

Jo there’s nothing unusual about the unequal distribution of infections between individuals. It’s a Pareto Distribution which is approx 80/20 and it’s the most natural thing in the world. It has been observed in anything from computer code, to economics, to pea plants.

              https://www.juran.com/blog/a-guide-to-the-pareto-principle-80-20-rule-pareto-analysis/

I’m not making claims about exceptional events like BLM rallys but the 80/20 split is not specific to COVID.

My personal opinion is that general immunity is a lot higher in Australia, probably because an early version of COVID was already here in December 2019. I have now contacted quite a few people who were sick around that time and it was different to flu.

nope… no trend. I’ve been looking since the initial few days (not included here but were like 1 3 3 1). The only trend so far is that in the first half of the outbreak the number infectious in the community was lower than now. Trying to think why that is but I’d need better data to back up my hunches.

No upward trend either, so there is that.

The issue in Victoria is primarily through different households of the same family meeting. It only takes a single person in the household to bring it in and the whole household is infected. They wait out symptoms until one needs hospitalisation because they fear a fine for breaking the rules. I believe that is common in Sydney as well.

There’s also a hard core criminal population who’ll suit themselves irrespective of the rules everybody else submits to. Case in point a fortnight ago a young westerb suburbs bloke in his late twenties intercepted in stolen car in the middle of Gippsland some hundreds of kilometres outside the permitted five kilometre radius of his home during curfew tried outrunning the jacks and was apprehended with stop sticks. Uncontrollable people like him are legion in Australia and service the underworld’s commercial imperatives in defiance of all law, not just CHO emergency powers.

This is from 2017 regarding Moderna and a “new” medicine development known as MRNA
    .
It is new to me but maybe its been posted here before..
    .
….Lavishly funded Moderna hits safety problems in bold bid to revolutionize medicine….Jan 10 2017..
    .
Obviously written PRE Covid and free from any associated bias or hysteria – I found it very interesting.
    .
    .
    https://www.statnews.com/2017/01/10/moderna-trouble-mrna/
    .
    .
“But mRNA is a tricky technology. Several major pharmaceutical companies have tried and abandoned the idea, struggling to get mRNA into cells without triggering nasty side effects.”
    .
“Every drug has what’s called a therapeutic window, the scientific sweet spot where a treatment is powerful enough to have an effect on a disease but not so strong as to put patients at too much risk. For mRNA, that has proved elusive.”
    .
“In order to protect mRNA molecules from the body’s natural defenses, drug developers must wrap them in a protective casing. For Moderna, that meant putting its Crigler-Najjar therapy in nanoparticles made of lipids. And for its chemists, those nanoparticles created a daunting challenge: Dose too little, and you don’t get enough enzyme to affect the disease; dose too much, and the drug is too toxic for patients.”
    .
“Yet Moderna could not make its therapy work, former employees and collaborators said. The safe dose was too weak, and repeat injections of a dose strong enough to be effective had troubling effects on the liver in animal studies.”
    .
“The drug, ALXN1540, has since been delayed, as Moderna works on “new and better formulations” that might later reach human trials”
    .
“Until Moderna demonstrates that its technology can safely treat a disease, those questions will be tough to answer.”

Do the Spike Proteins in mRNA vaccines, get around the body more than we are led to believe?

Here’s the European Medicines Agency’s PRAC guidance, from July but still standing.

EMA’s safety committee (PRAC) has concluded that myocarditis and pericarditis can occur in very rare cases following vaccination with the COVID-19 vaccines Comirnaty and Spikevax (previously COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna).

The Committee is therefore recommending listing myocarditis and pericarditis as new side effects in the product information for these vaccines, together with a warning to raise awareness among healthcare professionals and people taking these vaccines.

Myocarditis and pericarditis are inflammatory conditions of the heart. Symptoms can vary but often include breathlessness, a forceful heartbeat that may be irregular (palpitations), and chest pain.

And if you thought your ACE2 receptors were potentially at risk from vax-induced Spike Proteins (or their subunits), Alex Berenson would like you to know about the CD147 receptors, located on your very own Pericyte cells:
    Read Alex’s piece here:

It all suggests to me that the mRNA-induced Spike Proteins CAN affect the Heart, in someone who is predisposed (why the link to young men? *) or just plain unlucky. The EMA’s reassurance that the rate of occurrence is low, isn’t necessarily comforting:

      • what about a lower level of heart inflammation? … dismissed as something that’ll pass. How common might that be? Who is looking for those cases? … Is recovery complete; or what lies down the road for those people?

      • if Spike Proteins can leave the zone of injection, what other organs might be affected? (Here I’m recalling the leaked Japanese data from Pfizer’s testing on rats, which showed ovaries and the spleen, received mRNA-induced proteins after injection in the hind legs — different proteins, by the way, because they wanted something that glows in the dark, but I haven’t seen anything that rules out a similar scenario in humans injected with Pfizer/Moderna vaccines.)
      .

      * checking Dr. Wikipedia? yeah I know but this sounds about right: “Young males […] testosterone levels creating a greater inflammatory response that increases chance of […] myocarditis.

More questions than answers from me, I’m afraid.
Call me names if you like but I don’t trust any Corporation, that has the prospect of imminent, massive revenue dangled in its face, plus NO legal liability, to do the right amount of due diligence on their new, revolutionary product.

Until I know more, I think I’ll take my chances with the Delta strain Spike Proteins, rather than the mRNA ones. I trust my preparations will enable my immune system to overwhelm any intruders inside my nasal cavities, and I believe I’ll be exposed to far fewer Spike Proteins than the guaranteed billions that come courtesy of the Vaxx Merchants.
All the usual oral supplements mentioned on this blog, sound good to me.

There are a number of countries now that have achieved herd immunity, despite high R0 of delta, with near normal mobility.

Spain is down to 1000 daily cases from a peak of 30k in their Delta wave:
    https://covid19.healthdata.org/spain?view=infections-testing&tab=trend&test=positive_tests
That is with mobility 17% down on pre-Covid.

Chile is down to 500 daily cases with mobility just 7% down on normal.
    https://covid19.healthdata.org/chile?view=infections-testing&tab=trend&test=positive_tests
Their peak earlier in the year was almost 9000 daily cases.

Uruguay down to 50 daily cases from a delta peak of 4500 per day at mobility 17% down:
    https://covid19.healthdata.org/uruguay?view=infections-testing&tab=trend&test=positive_tests

Covid cases in California appears to have peaked. About 20% of Californians will have natural immunity and 68% have had at least 1 jab:
    https://covid19.healthdata.org/united-states-of-america/california?view=infections-testing&tab=trend&test=positive_tests
This is with mobility 20% down on pre-Covid.

ACT, NSW and Victoria will have similar exponential decay during October given the current rate of vaccination. Looking forward to that!

Brazil also looking good with low numbers and reducing (at last).

The Covid death toll so far in Brazil is 584k. That translates to about 60M infected, say 30%. They currently have 60% of population with at least 1 jab. It would be reasonable to expect more than 80% of the population are carrying anti-bodies. They are one of the few countries back up at pre-Covid mobility.

Countries that did not lock down effectively have experienced a tough road. Brazil had reduced iron ore output due to Covid impacts. That was good for Australian economy:
        https://www.news.com.au/finance/economy/iron-ore-price-chinas-plan-to-punish-australia-through-brazil/news-story/5d74e067ae3cc09657e36e22490ad840

Brazil’s iron ore production has been impacted by a series of accidents and coronavirus-related shutdowns of the country’s biggest mines have hit the industry hard.

Iron ore price is already sliding as Brazil gets back up to capacity. China will now have a bit more clout in the market as supply outstrips demand.

The world needs more useless wind turbines made from Australian iron ore, coal and copper. Hopefully the climate ambition coming out of COP26 will fill China’s order books. A decent slice of the global climate ambition gets back to Australia through sales of iron ore and the coal, both thermal and met, needed to convert the iron ore to steel. ScoMo should set a 2030 net zero target that he has no intention of achieving like the climate zealots.

The Covid death toll so far in Brazil is 584k. That translates to about 60M infected, say 30%.

Is that a projection? Based on what?

Worldometer says the infections are 21M not 60M.

If it is 60M then the mortality rate has to be adjusted down by a factor of 3.

Whatever it is, Brazil is doing very well now, likely due to natural herd immunity.

Drug combo ‘can cure’ coronavirus symptoms, gastroenterologist says

    By ANTHONY PIOVESANNCA NEWSWIRE

    5:57PM SEPTEMBER 11, 2020

An “almost foolproof” three-pronged treatment for coronavirus symptoms is being rolled out in Victorian nursing homes, according to gastroenterologist Professor Thomas Borody.

The Centre for Digestive Disease professor said the “triple therapy” involved Ivermectin, Doxycycline and zinc and “cured” at least 15 of his COVID-19 positive patients.

“Within 48 hours their cough had gone down and fever decreased – their oxygen levels had also significantly improved in that time,” Prof Borody told NCA NewsWire.

The professor – famous for his development of the triple-therapy cure for peptic ulcers in 1987 – said “a number” of Victorian aged care facilities had this week signed up to start using the therapy, which was Federal Drug Agency and World Health Organisation approved.

Professor Thomas Borody says Victorian nursing homes are starting to use his three-pronged treatment against coronavirus.

“You need drugs that block enzymes in the cell,” Prof Borody said.

“When Ivermectin and zinc combine, it’s very important in killing the reproductive cycle where multiplication occurs.

“Virtually everybody gets cured – it’s so simple and in 10 days, side effects are virtually unheard of.”

Prof Borody said Ivermectin was widely used for parasitic infections and was being cited and prescribed as treatment against the deadly coronavirus in South America, Japan and the UK.

He called on Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews and the state’s chief health officer Brett Sutton to consider the research of the therapy.

“I’ve gotten a positive response so far from the Federal Minister for Health Greg Hunt and deputy chief health officer Dr Nick Coatsworth, but if we want to stop the suffering in Victoria, this needs to be prescribed to the masses,” Prof Borody said.

“This can open up aged care and end lockdown within the aged care system.

“You’ve got about 2000 active cases in Victoria and many more general practitioners than that – so if every doctor started prescribing this you’ll start to see the changes Victoria has been longing for.”

National Archives Slaps ‘Harmful Content’ Warning On Constitution, All Other Founding Documents

The National Archives Records Administration placed a “harmful content” warning on the Constitution, labeling the governing document of the United States as “harmful or difficult to view.” The warning applies to all documents across the Archives’ cataloged website, including the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence.

The NARA, which is responsible for preserving and protecting documentation of American heritage, noted that so-called harmful historical documents could “reflect racist, sexist, ableist, misogynistic/misogynoir, and xenophobic opinions and attitudes; be discriminatory towards or exclude diverse views on sexuality, gender, religion, and more,” and “include graphic content of historical events such as violent death, medical procedures, crime, wars/terrorist acts, natural disasters and more.”

Along with committing to diversity and equity, the NARA said it would “[work] in conjunction with diverse communities, [and] seek to balance the preservation of this history with sensitivity to how these materials are presented to and perceived by users.”

Israel, UK, Singapore: What living in an 80 per cent double vaccinated country looks like . Andrew Koubaridis . September 9, 2021

    ISRAEL
Israel was a world leader in getting its citizens vaccinated and reached high rates much quicker as a result.

It relaxed restrictions before it reached 80 per cent, but was then hit with a return of Covid-19 cases, with a surge in cases.

There have been big gatherings, festivals, and unrestricted travel – all largely without restrictions, including mask use.

So far in September, more than 10,000 confirmed cases a day have been recorded. This exceeded the peak number of cases from January. Israel has a population not much larger than that of NSW.

The cases are being caused largely by the unvaccinated – and children are catching the virus and spreading it to their parents, further fuelling the new wave of infections.

With under 12s factored in, only 68 per cent of its whole population is fully vaccinated

However, the seven day average of deaths, while climbing from recent months, is still below the January peaks – the rolling average this week is 23 deaths a day and was 61 a day in mid-January.

As of Sept. 6, at least 2.6 million people in Israel—around 28% of the population—have now had the booster shot of the Pfizer vaccine, according to the Israeli Health Ministry.

    SINGAPORE
Since August 6, fully vaccinated Singaporeans have been able to eat at restaurants in groups of five and households are allowed to receive five visitors as well.

Workplaces have been able to welcome 50 per cent of staff back to the office, in a staged return to work once the 80 per cent target was hit.

Live performances, sports events, weddings, conferences and cinemas can proceed with up to 1000 vaccinated attendees and up to 50 unvaccinated attendees.

Singapore is also relaxing its border to certain countries from this month – they describe their way of living as “Covid resilient” not “living with Covid”.

But Singapore has warned it may need to reintroduce restrictions, as new cases threaten its new model of living alongside the virus.

In the last week, cases have doubled to more than 1200 for the week ending September 5. Lawrence Wong, the head of Singapore’s Covid response, it was the rate the virus was spreading that was the biggest concern.

“We know from the experience of other countries that when cases rise so sharply there will be many more ICU cases and many more people succumbing to the virus,” he said

To combat the surge, beefed up contact tracing and isolating clusters is being used, as is weekly testing of high risk workers – it had been fortnightly.

Occupations that are subjected to mandatory testing has been expanded to include public transport staff, retail, and delivery.

Mr Wong warned: “If find that the number of serious cases needing oxygen in ICU care goes up sharply, then we may have no case but to tighten our overall posture, so we should not rule that out.”

Singapore is studying the efficacy of booster shots, and will soon begin giving them to thos egaed over 60, who had ther second jab more than six months ago

    .
    UNITED KINGDOM
The United Kingdom has provided good clues about what living with Covid-19 may be like.

With 80 per cent fully jabbed, all restrictions for those in England have been removed – the use of masks is now mandatory only on the Tube.

Travel has also returned – movement within the UK is no longer restricted and the list of countries Brits can travel to without quarantine is growing.

Cases have been steadily building – infections the past week have risen 15.3 per cent, and the death rate is up 26.1 per cent.

But the numbers are far below what was experienced last northern winter when thousands were being admitted to hospital each day and hundreds were dying a day.

Notwithstanding that, the latest deaths are the biggest increase in six months, and health officials worry about the return to school and university this month of students after their summer holidays.

Downing Street has not ruled out a “firebreak” lockdown as a last resort if the NHS were to be overwhelmed by Covid cases, but denied there were plans for one during October’s half-term school holiday.

When asked this week, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s official spokesperson said it was “not true that the government is planning a lockdown or firebreak around the October half-term”.

But he said further restrictions such as a two-week circuit breaker remained an option if the NHS were to be overwhelmed.

A booster shot program is likely to start this month, but it is unlcear if it will be for all adults, or just some vulnerable groups.

The israel data quoted here is pure BS.

Ive posted a link to thier govt dashboard that clearly shows a 2:1 ratio of vaxxed: unvaxxed is hospitals

The ugly reality is the vaccines don’t work , because if they did, you wouldn’t have vaccinated people in hospital!

No problem – The CDC just keeps lowering the bar..it is now little more than a subjective opinion…”produce protection”..how much?..how ever much suits THEM.
      .
Pre 2015 – the definition of “vaccine” – Injection of a killed or weakened infectious organism in order to prevent the disease.

2015-2021, the definition of “vaccine” on the CDC website was “a product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease.” The definition of “vaccination” at that time was “the act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce immunity to a specific disease.”

As of September 7, 2021 the new definition of “vaccine” on the CDC website is “a preparation that is used to stimulate the body’s immune response against diseases.” The definition of “vaccination” describes “the act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce protection from a specific disease.”

Has anyone here heard of the TNI? The Trusted News Initiative.

Just been watching Dr Peter McCullough’s latest video and he mentioned it.

    How the TNI Got Started

On June 24, 2021, a report from the Oxford-based Reuters Institute revealed that trust in the US media – ranking last among 46 countries – had descended to an all-time low of 29%.  Meanwhile, Canadian trust in media has sunk to 45%.[iv]

This downward spiral can only mean that people are going elsewhere for their news – a trend that has likely been accelerated by the emergence of a shadowy global censorship network called the Trusted News Initiative (TNI).

In July 2019, before the pandemic, the UK and Canadian governments hosted the FCO Global Conference on Media Freedom,[v] where then BBC Director-General Tony Hall announced:

“Last month I convened, behind closed doors, a Trusted News Summit at the BBC, which brought together global tech platforms and publishers. The goal was to arrive at a practical set of actions we can take together, right now, to tackle the rise of misinformation and bias….I’m determined that we use that [BBC] unique reach and trusted voice to lead the way – to create a global alliance for integrity in news. We’re ready to do even more to help promote freedom and democracy worldwide.”[vi]

The initial Trusted News partners in attendance were the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Facebook, Financial Times, First Draft, Google, The Hindu, and The Wall Street Journal.

This was the embryonic start of a soon-to-become global media-wide Early Warning System that would rapidly alert members to “disinformation which threatens human life or disrupts democracy during elections.”[vii]

    https://www.globalresearch.ca/covid-19-shadowy-trusted-news-initiative/5752930

Since early in the COVID-19 pandemic, which according to the World Health Organization kills only 0.23% of those infected[ii], enormous fear and panic have been fuelled by the hourly drumbeat of a “one-voice” media.

An international process of editorial standardization has delivered unprecedented news coverage of the monopolized message:

The pandemic threatens the survival of all humanity
There is no therapy to cure the sick
It is necessary to confine the whole population, and
The delivery will come only from a vaccine.[iii]

Involves facebook, twitter, youtube, cnn, and co.

    Very interesting article.

      A bit more

What do the inventor of mRNA technology; the lead author of the most downloaded paper on Covid-19 in the American Journal of Medicine; a former editor of the American Journal of Epidemiology; renowned epidemiologists at Harvard, Stanford, and Oxford; and France’s leading microbiologist – have in common? They have all been censored by a repressive media network that most people have never heard of. This network has outrageously conceived and conveyed a “monopoly of legitimate information.”[i]

‘The first Australians predate the Great Barrier Reef by some 40,000 years. The first Australian walked across from New Guinea during the depth of the last ice age when there was no Great Barrier Reef. In fact, sea levels were about 120 metres lower than they are today.

‘It is only in the last 10,000 years, since the beginning of this geological epoch known as the Holocene, that the Great Barrier Reef has formed. It formed after sea levels rose by more than 120 metres during a period from 18,000 to 10,000 years ago when the coastline was being eroded by up to 50 metres each year.’ (Jennifer Marohasy)

Many people are soon to face real dilemmas of the heart and mind over this issue.

It is clear the Covid passport is not a safety measure, it is a stick wielded about to coerce anyone teetering on the edge to succumb and get injected. Therein lies the problem. I will be shortly in a position in which my income will be greatly reduced due to my decision not to be injected. Sounds like the only shopping I can do will be on-line, no social life, pretty miserable.

I am not a threat to anyone else – surely AZ and Pfizer cocktails will protect those who have chosen to be injected on the off chance I get Covid and pass it on (that’s what we are being told anyway).

I have a history of blood clotting that has nearly killed me twice and have no desire to risk my health, which is very good beside the aforementioned issue, to be part of this experiment. However, it might send me broke. I’ll bet the farm there will be no Government assistance for the un-injected who lose income as a result of their very legitimate choice. In any event, I don’t want the Government’s grubby cash. I just want to go about my business, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and enjoy the fruits of a ‘free’ society … except it no longer exists.

Hopefully enough businesses and individuals will take a stand so this disgusting idiocy doesn’t snowball.

I’ll try your loophole Old Ozzie, but I think we’ve gone beyond that point.
I too will soon be on the scrap heap even though I have gone to a lot of trouble to make myself COVID-proof with multiple antivirals.

For those who don’t yet know, things have just gotten immeasurably worse in NSW. Our Tyrant-in-Chief has issued her latest dictates.

Under her roadmap to freedom, unvaccinated people will only be able to access “critical retail”.

“You have been warned. She says.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said it would be “extremely careless and reckless” if vaccinated and unvaccinated people were mingling. I myself would not want to be anywhere with someone who’s not vaccinated.”

As for retail stores, restaurants, pubs, and other hospitality venues – they will have QR check-in codes in place which will screen if people have been vaccinated.

“If you want to go and buy something which is regarded as a non-essential shop, you will put up the QR code and if it is not a green light saying you have been vaccinated, you won’t be welcome inside.”

This whole vaccine passport sham is predicated on the fiction of having “fully vaccinated” people who are now superior to others in the community in terms of COVID transmission.

To me every person who willingly gets the “vaccine” is aiding and abetting the enemy — the powers that are withholding proper treatments which could bring COVID to heel in a matter of a couple of weeks and end all restrictions for good. By supporting the vaccine fiction they are prolonging the agony for everyone. Most do this unknowingly out of sheer ignorance because they are sheep who follow the mob; some do it out of community spirit; some do it out of pig-headedness; some do it out of malice.

I will not freely submit to ignorance and tyranny. How long before Gladys makes the unvaccinated in NSW wear red stars on their sleeves? She has made me an unperson. All of this based on the lie that the “vaccines” will halt any outbreak of COVID. A pox on her and her ignorance, lies and tyranny.

Our only hope now is the court case currently before the NSW Supreme Court against Hazzard and our CHO. I don’t why they didn’t name Gladys as a co-defendant.

NSW Health limits residents of locked-down tower block to six beers per day

Residents in a Sydney tower block under a strict coronavirus lockdown are having their alcohol deliveries policed.

            Anton Nilsson and James O’Doherty

            September 9, 2021 – 8:42AM

Residents in apartment blocks locked-down by NSW Health are having their alcohol deliveries policed as part of a policy to limit the number of drinks being consumed each day.

NSW Health has imposed rules limiting people in “NSW Health controlled buildings” to a certain amount of alcohol each day in a bid to “ensure the safety of health staff and residents”.

Mission Australia’s Common Ground building in Camperdown is the latest building where occupants are subjected to the harsh rules.

Residents of the social housing estate have complained that care packages sent by friends and relatives have been searched before they are delivered.

“They are searching all bags and things coming into the building … They confiscated a series of gifts. So things like bottles of spirits, we weren’t allowed to have those and we still (aren’t),” Common Ground resident Robin Elhaj said.

Residents are allowed to receive a ration of one of the following: six beers or pre-mixed drinks, one bottle of wine, or one 375ml bottle of spirits.

Excess alcohol is being confiscated until lockdown rules are lifted.

Residents can consult with a clinician if they think they need more than the allowed limit.

2 Articles in The Australian on this

High Court stifles free discussion – Editorial

In a blow to free speech and open debate, the High Court has opened the way for newspaper publishers and broadcasters to be held liable for defamatory third-party comments posted on social media platforms they do not control or moderate, such as Facebook – even when the publishers are unaware of such comments.

The court dismissed an appeal by Fairfax Media, Nationwide News (publisher of this newspaper) and Australian News Channel over a defamation case involving Indigenous man and former Don Dale Youth Detention Centre inmate Dylan Voller. Mr Voller wants to sue The Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian and others over comments made by readers beneath articles about him that were posted online. The case stalled when the media companies pointed out that they were not publishers of the comments, which appeared on platforms they did not operate.

But a NSW Supreme Court judge disagreed, concluding that by creating Facebook pages and placing content on them, the media companies “participated” in communicating potentially defamatory material. On Wednesday, the High Court threw out an appeal against that decision. “Each appellant, by the creation of a public Facebook page and the posting of content on that page, facilitated, encouraged and thereby assisted the publication of comments from third-party Facebook users,” the court ruled in a summary posted online. “The appellants were therefore publishers of the third-party comments.”

News Corp Australia executive chairman Michael Miller said the decision highlighted the need for urgent legislative reform. “I call on Australia’s attorneys-general to address this anomaly and bring Australian law into line with comparable Western democracies,” Mr Miller said.

The High Court decision in the Voller case is significant for anyone who maintains a public social media page by finding they can be liable for comments posted by others on that page – even when they are unaware of those comments. At the time the comments were posted, in 2016 and 2017, Facebook did not allow media companies to turn comments off. There is yet to be a ruling on whether the comments posted were defamatory. Media companies and others create social media pages to help provide information and participate in discussions. This decision will stymie the exchange of ideas, encouraging Facebook users to turn off opportunities for comment.

                Plus

The trolls will no longer have to be held to account – CHRIS MERRITT

The most objectionable aspect of the High Court’s decision in the Dylan Voller defamation case is that it undermines the law’s ability to hold online trolls to account.

Instead, everyone who has a Facebook page is now considered to be the publisher of defamatory comments that are left on those pages without their knowledge or consent.

That means the High Court has exposed individuals and community groups with Facebook pages to an unknown potential liability for damage inflicted by online trolls.

This defies common sense, runs counter to the goal of cleaning up social media and cannot be allowed to stand. It is an affront to the principle that everyone is responsible for their own actions – not those of others.

            Another Liberal Idiot

Incentives ‘not mandatory vaccination by stealth’: Bragg

Liberal Senator Andrew Bragg has rejected the suggestion that the federal government is “imposing mandatory vaccination by stealth” by excluding unvaccinated people from freedoms.

NSW on Thursday announced the state’s road map out of lockdown, which will take place when the 70 per cent of the state is fully vaccinated. Victoria is expected to release their road map shortly, followed by other states.
The road map included increased freedoms for vaccinated people, including access to restaurants, gyms and other people’s houses.

Senator Bragg said by giving freedoms to people who had gotten the jab, the government wasn’t mandating vaccination but rather incentivising it.

“It is not mandatory, but it is putting a significant incentive on the table,” he told the ABC.

I’m laughing at this “double vaccination” app. The intellectually challenged morons of the Health Departments (State and Federal) actually believe that every person in Australia has a smartphone which is connected to the internet. Sorry to disappoint you bubble-headed idiots, but this is NOT the case. If you’re not connected, what is the result? No freedoms? An alternative, like a certificate or card that you can put in your wallet/purse MUST BE VIABLE. Personally, I’m sick and tired of the authoritarianism that has been introduced in this country, under the guise of “we’re all in this together”. George Orwell must be spinning in his grave.

Echos of the dearly departed covidsafe app

And, even for its target environment it will be public service driven, poorly defined, quick and dirty and full of holes.

I know it doesn’t seem that way but covidsafe is still running. According to the app store v2.8 was released 2 months ago. Have you heard that it is not supported?

I heard a rumour that the old people without mobiles will be given a card which they can flash when necessary. Its says that you have been jabbed twice and are safe to enter any establishment.

‘A New Religious Cult Has Emerged: The Branch Covidians’
‘Branch Covidians love the lockdowns, rules, rituals and trappings, such as handwashing (baptism), mask wearing (Fauci’s black burka), social distancing, curfews and being locked up (BDSM and trauma based torture). The nasal swab test is the equivalent to the holy communion wafer.’

Oh no! We were planning to name our new music group _ _ _ _ and the Branch Covidians. Taking the proverbial out of them . A couple of the group were doubtful – too soon they said.

    You trust the experts then?

“How confident are infectious disease “experts” in the efficacy of the vaccines that they themselves have taken? Not very.

Most of them still won’t go to a movie, eat at a restaurant, or let their vaccinated kid go to school without a muzzle, half won’t even go to an outdoor sporting event or concert.”

Gladys Calls 57% of NSW Population Unclean

At the 9 September media nonsense, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian revealed just how twisted and unprincipled this policy disaster has become.

I predicted something like this as a result of exploding breakthrough cases. But it’s now. It’s just to coerce vaccination…and vindictively penalise people who don’t comply. You know, Deplorables.

This, despite the clear knowledge that the double-vaccinated can catch and transmit SARS-Cov-2. That for controlling the pandemic, there is only a short term and limited difference between the vaccinated and the unvaccinated. Just look at Israel, Hawaii, Iceland and Singapore. And that shops have been serving the unvaccinated for the past 18 months, apparently with no problems.

This is straight demonisation based on misrespresentation. Scapegoating of the worst kind. And she had the gall to talk about personal choice several times in the conference.

…I myself would not want to be anywhere, hehe, with someone who’s not vaccinated…[10secs]

We can’t afford to have unvaccinated people mixing with vaccinated people. [57secs]

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, Media Conference, 9 September, 2021 (Concerned about context? Video below)

It is a call to a caste system based on clean-unclean.

Breakthrough infections will come. And there is less reason for a vaccinated person to fear the unvaccinated than there is for the unvaxxed to fear the vaccinated. Why? Because the unvaccinated do have a higher likelihood of severe illness if they get sick. Even if vaccine protection declines quickly over time. The unvaxxed are taking on the risk voluntarily, in an informed way.

And Berejiklian even said if there were a breakout of cases in specific regions it would be because people were unvaccinated. Like Israel doesn’t exist. Again, just to demonise the unvaccinated.

Everyone has seen this yes? It’s finished once the Liberals are as bad as the Greens. Very depressing.

That Kean fellow is a disaster. The result of the education system, the time lag for these beliefs to come through after years of propaganda, is presented by this guy.
