Crowder sues Facebook for fraud, false adverting, vows “we kneel for no one”

Stephen Crowder is going after Facebook for a seven figure damages bill. He says he will take this all the way to the Supreme Court, and is practically daring Facebook to silence him.

Facebook LogoAs a business — Facebook was selling something it had no intention of delivering. Those who invested their creative work, time and advertising money were falsely and deceptively led to expect that Facebook was a neutral platform that had policies that were not politically or racially biased.

Instead they took intellectual property, time and data based on false premises.

Imagine a covert political lobby group set itself up as a Telco and Cable entertainment complex, then after everyone paid for the wires and poles and the miniseries,  they announced they would cancel anyone who didn’t believe in their religion, or wouldn’t kneel before it. People had spent years building a sales network or a community that could suddenly be rendered worthless, or held to ransom:

Steven Crowder Announces Lawsuit Against Facebook

Epoch Times

Conservative host Steven Crowder said on Feb. 1 that he’s suing Facebook over “unfair competition, fraud, false advertising, and antitrust.”

“Our broader point is that we are pro-business but anti-fraud. Facebook lured consumers and creators to spend money and provide data and views under the promise of not engaging in political, racial or religious bias in enforcing their policies, but they have done so both expressly and secretively, and hence, the suit.”

In the YouTube clip, Crowder said his Nov. 3 election livestream was cut off in the midst of his coverage. Crowder said he was never provided a reason for why the stream was taken down.

“They removed the biggest stream that has ever existed, from the biggest platform that’s ever existed, with no reason,” he said.

Take No Prisoners:

Crowder made reference to the lawsuit on Jan. 31, writing on Twitter: “I do not know what will happen February 2nd. But tomorrow, we will NOT self censor, we will NOT be bullied, silenced or intimidated. We will kneel for NO one.”

Doubt it. The Russian people are as obdurate as they come and largely won’t tolerate these Western woke types. Those who think that “there’s something happening here – what it is ain’t exactly clear…’ will be waiting a long time.

That may be true for sleepy Australians but for millions of Americans who actually believe whole heartedly in libertarianism the day of reckoning will be upon the US eventually. Whether that means civil war or not depends on which side caves in first, if at all. If the left cave in first then there will be a peaceful elimination of the Democratic Party in it’s current form. If the other side caves in first then the US will move ever closer to becoming a dictatorship not much unlike that of China. Then certain states will secede and the union breaks apart. Still a peaceful transition albeit with some turmoil. If neither side caves in then there will most assuredly be a civil war.

Are Big Tech Censors Taking a Page from Soviet Psychiatric Gulags?

If that phrase in the headline above — “Soviet Psychiatric Gulags” — doesn’t ring a bell, allow me to refresh your memory, or, if you are under 30 years of age, perhaps introduce you to a horrid chapter of recent history.

Before the Soviet Union’s fall, the Soviet Communist Party killed tens of millions of people during its existence from 1917 to 1991, with dictator Josef Stalin ordering more than 3,000 executions in one day alone in 1937, according to Robert Conquest.

Millions more were sent to labor camps, many in Siberia, where they were worked under the most inhumane conditions. As bad as the labor camps surely were, the psychiatric hospitals described by Alexander Solzhenitsyn were worse in some respects.

Dissidents were sent to the hospitals for the “crime” of criticizing the Soviet regime. After all, anybody who would criticize the Soviet paradise must be nuts, right? There, they were they were subjected to unbelievable torture techniques like this one described by the Mises Institute’s Mark Hendrikson:

“One of the ‘therapies’ administered in a psychiatric hospital was putting a cord into [the patient’s] mouth, then threading it from his throat up through his nasal passages, and then drawing it out through one of his nostrils.” Even if the cord wasn’t used to deliver electrical shocks, this must have been an agonizing experience.

Hendrikson explains the origins of the Soviet psychiatric hospitals in one of Karl Marx’s most basic doctrines:

No, the Big Tech giants haven’t taken the next step and recommended mandatory psychiatric treatment for those who protest censorship of conservative “hate speech,” but it seems reasonable to wonder if the predicate is being set.

In any case, at the heart of the study is the contention that the prevalence of “engagement” — i.e. likes, comments, shares, etc. — constitutes “a rough proxy for popularity.” And indeed the data for 2020 through the November election shows conservative sites on Facebook, for example, having impressive levels of engagement:

And finally, there’s this: How many Leftist sites expressing support for violence-advocating groups like antifa and Black Lives Matter have been banned? None that I am aware of.

But then I must be crazy to think Facebook, Twitter, Google, Amazon, and the rest of the Big Tech censors are biased against conservatives, right?

He should be able to get around section 230 if it can be shown that Facebook acted in bad faith since the indemnification only applies to actions taken in good faith.

    • #
      cohenite

S230 broadly protects the platform from liability for what is published on it. Some qualifications have occurred such as Trump’s FOSTA bill to do with criminal sexual acts. However the platforms have grossly abused this freedom by being political in a way which is unconstitutional. They have done so because they have infringed Constitutional rights which the government cannot do while benefitting from government freedoms and exemptions, ie S230. This principle has a long Judicial imprimatur (see Norwood v. Harrison, 413 U.S. 455 (1973)). Therefore the act of censorship and political partisanship by the platforms is arguably illegal by virtue of the benefit they receive through S230, sort of eating their cake and having it too.

Despite this and the fact Crowder is a brave man he will need deep pockets, especially since the zombie joe’s commie government will no doubt see a benefit for them in supporting the big techs.

It’s also an extreme right-wing/fascist/nationalist socialist value, as demonstrated by Nazi Germany. They were very good at it. There are some differences. The left today are not as brutal, but the technology today more than makes up for that as it makes it so much easier to apply their draconian values.

National Socialism and fascism are NOT of the right. One of the biggest propaganda coups the Left ever pulled was getting them called “right wing”. All forms of tyranny are of the Left.

I didn’t say it was. Read my post again. I said extreme right-wing then added alternatives. In any case, saying only the left are tyrannical is a lie, clear and simple. For example, the National Fascist Party of Italy was certainly not left wing. Likewise the White Movement in old Russia. The Roman Empire was another. There are dozens of other examples.

Perhaps a better way to describe the numerous versions of political systems is not the left-right spectrum but the open-close spectrum. As Tony Blair commented, attitudes towards social issues and globalism are more important than the conventional economic left–right issues. It’s obvious he does have a point in today’s climate. In this model, “open” voters tend to be socially liberal, multicultural and in favour of globalism while “closed” voters are culturally conservative, opposed to immigration and in favour of protectionism (I read it as nationalism). It too is not perfect but it’s a more accurate way of describing the polarisation we are seeing today between those who favour globalism and those who favour nationalism. Globalism is clearly the trend we are in now. Trump was a nationalist and he was hated for that by the left and also by some elements of the right side of politics, and we are still seeing it now as they are working together trying to impeach him.

The frightening thing is the alliance between the Billionaire Socialists of Big Tech and the Useful Idiots of the Left.

They now have the power to control almost all major flows of information and censor, alter or delete it as they see fit in order to achieve their evil objectives.

They can now also swing elections as witnessed in the United States and also silence legitimate questions of election fraud. Anyone questioning fraud was silenced and/or removed from Big Tech social(ist) media.

Think of the worst excesses of the National Socialists and International Socialists and then realise we are talking about essentially the same people with generally the same ideology (with some modifications). And then understand how much more “efficient” their implementation of evil will be with the benefit of modern technology including their ability to track you everywhere by your phone and financial transactions; Facebook and Google spying on you as well as Big Brother. Plus they know your publically expressed thoughts on any matter as expressed on the platforms they own. It is their evidence against you for Orwellian “thought crimes”.

I looked at facebook when it first appeared (when not using capitals in titles was presented as being fake-humble and really ‘cool’) and it was immediately obvious that it was a devious attempt to control thought and speech, and fleece trusting foolish people of their personal privacy. Not saying I’m smarter, it was entirely instinctive, I saw an information attack vector, and lopped it off. I have avoided such sites completely, I tinkered with Twitter just to see how it worked, then abandoned it. Used completely false information to access it. I always make sure all background social media in phones and browsers of other software is turned of, deleted if possible, or banned by the fire wall. I use script tools to make sure they never get to run scripts within web pages, etc. If a site will not let me access it unless I allow a script from them, I don’t use the site. It does not bother me to never have used facebook. Never, anywhere. I have been told/advised constantly for about 10 years that I absolutely must use it, that it is the very future of personal computing and communication.

I wouldn’t even know. I use free and open sites that don’t want to run invasive data-phishing and harvesting on me, 100% of the time. When I use the internet, the only people who know who I am are the ISP and the Constitutionally approve legal authorities who have permission to know. I rarely give real information on the internet, and when I do, it is not identifiable. And employer can plug my name into a search to find out about me, and they will find no personal information they can connect. That’s called having personal privacy, it’s my legal and personal right and requirement to maintain this, as it is clearly not wise to not do so.

Handle such sites like a poisonous snake, it’s only a matter of time until they try to bite, it might take a decade, but they absolutely will try to attack you with your information, which you were silly enough to give to them for access to their trap. Somehow I managed to do everything I ever wanted to on the internet, without ever dealing with facebook or any other ‘social media’ on a personal level, and avoid use of real personal data. Jo knows my real first name, but she knows nothing else. Fake information is what must use to maintain privacy when others should not have that information, for any reason, unless you give specific access which only you control and allow. Anything else leads to infringements of personal privacy, exploitation, control and vindictive political, ideological and religious reprisals. Facebook has always been an exploitative control trap, that’s its nature and intent. It’s finally becoming obvious what an insidious construct it is, at depth.

Same for all the other personal info harvesting companies. These are all up to no good, even retailers. They will all use real personal data against you when they wish too exploit you, control you or make sly attacks on you. Not one of them can be trusts, not even legal authorities. None should be trusted. Not to be paranoid, as that does not help, but just because it’s wise to not trust those that you don’t need to trust.

Think of it as a Precautionary Principle.

The next step to this sly shameless personal information theft and accumulation is, “Vee will make you talk!”. That’s what’s now developing. I would much rather such clearly wicked people as the people who run facebook, and all other info-scams, know as little as possible about me as they are the smiling enemy who glad-hand people into their preferred forms of control traps. It starts as incentives and disincentives to alter behavior, Likes and Bans, then it escalates to what we see now, attempts to actually saddle your brain, like a farm yard animal being domesticated and trained to the expectations of the farmer. An information farmer, who gets fat on using you.

These are info-scams being run by manipulative narcissists, who will shape the information environment, until they have control, and you have no personal privacy at all, because you trusted them when you did not have to trust them.

Is it any wonder why the Union is very likely going to break apart? It’s the most peaceful option. Certainly is way better than having a civil war, which would-be inevitable otherwise as the left keep enforcing more and more draconian rules. The sooner the Union breaks apart the better for all of them. I can’t see how all 300+ million Americans would cave into neo-communism.

Yes, it’s possible but we won’t know for sure until it happens. Many predicted a NWO of sorts throughout recent history only to have egg on their faces. It’s truly a strange world we live in today. The POTUS can shut down important infrastructure projects that allow the US to be self sufficient and promote national security. Good on ’em! Someone has to start the avalanche. Where will the selective censorship stop, otherwise? Does Faecesbook have the right to block the page of a Christian church whose basic tenet is vehemently opposed to homosexuality and announces this Sunday that will the sermon topic. Meanwhile they keep up the page of a Muslim cleric, simply because he doesn’t announce his topic for his sermon on Friday is exactly the same? It is known by all prior to those groups setting up a page that those religions hold those beliefs and they will be discussed. So is one announcing on a purported open platform promoting ‘hate speech’ simply by speaking publicly? The parallels with communism persecuting religious observance is obvious! All happening on the device in everyones hand! There’s no tolerance in the tolerance movement!
