Trump wins — “This will be the golden age of America”

By Jo Nova

A historic victory — The greatest political comeback in the USA

Talking about Elon —  Trump raved and said “We have to protect our super geniuses”. This is so incredibly rare — the recognition at the highest level that scientific and engineering genius needs to be protected.

I’m still the cynic looking for the gotcha — but he has also won the popular vote (51.1%), seemingly every swing state (so far*) and taken back the Senate. This is excellent. How can the Blob cheat their way out of this? Could they have planted “fake votes” for Trump to pretend he cheated and dispute the results, could they claim he is an insurrectionist on January 6th to disqualify him, after all his supposed “crimes” were laundered before the voters and the voters still voted for him.

Imagine how many votes he would have won if the media hadn’t worked against him every minute.

In Australia, our entire national renewable energy policy just turned into an albatross.

But the dark malevolent power of the ACMA Misinformation Bill was on the agenda in the Australian Parliament today. This legislation threatens the existence of this blog, social media, and all the independent voices that are not already under government control. With the Anglosphere under the protection of the USA in a hostile world, all it would take is a word from Trump about the need for their closest allies to protect free speech.

_______

*According to Politico – only 54% of votes have been counted in Arizona (is this the 21st Century, and what use are electronic machines?). Trump 50.9%, Harris 48.3%. In Nevada, Trump is up 51.5% to Harris 46.8% with 83% counted. In Pennsylvania — 96% counted, with Trump at 50.8% to Harris 48.2%.  Florida used to be a swing state, but now it is 56% for Trump. California, on the other hand, went 58% to Harris.

h/t David Maddison about the ACMA bill. The Labor Party were hoping we wouldn’t notice.

The people have no faith in the MSM, so they would automatically ignore propaganda. It gives us the opportunity to analyse media behaviour in the aftermath.

‘He has outperformed the polls and appears to have broadened his appeal. It’s a remarkable victory.

‘His critics may want to paint his resurrection as an aberration or a sign of electors who aren’t paying attention.

‘While his 2016 victory may have been fuelled by a willingness to take a gamble on a political unknown, this time the American people know exactly what they are getting and they have collectively decided they want him to be their president.’ (ABC)

The polls are just as corrupted as the fake news. All that happens with the polls is that some recent woke phsycology student believes that false or inflated polling will influence the less intelligent and that they can easily influence the electorate!

I said this at the earlier Post.

Man, in the old days you had to wait till you were 21 before you could vote.

So, my first election was the Queensland State Election in 1972 when Joh Bjelke-Petersen won.

Since then, I have heard so many, so many, election winning acceptance speeches from every side of politics, and from most Countries.

There has been NOTHING like tonight’s acceptance speech from Donald Trump, nothing.

    Tony.

I am sat on a railway platform in the UK listening to Trumps victory speech and realised that I turned the volume right down whenever anyone walked past. I am so used to the sheeple here being continually brainwashed by the MSM that Trump was evil that you couldn’t show any interest or opinion for fear of being thought a white supremacist conspiracy nut. It may take a while for me to come out of the closet.

In our newsagent I would say people were generally pleased. I think the bigger topic was how on earth someone so weak as Harris could be selected in the first place.

She was selected because she was weak. Biden and Harris were sock puppets. Always. Only Obama/Clinton/Pelosi and behind both Pelosi and Harris was 90 year old Billy Brown who was the California Democratic Party. More dangerous than China.

    Mike Reed
I woke early this morning am away in Chile went straight to my laptop to find what looks like a convincing win by Trump HOORAY HOORAY HOORAY etc etc and so and so forth.
So it turns out the plain truth triumphs over mis and disinformation and the appalling Trump is Hitler Mk2.
I am not sorry for people who suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome-plainly because they can never explain how or why Trump is not worthy of being the POTUS again.
I have been following this election closely and thought towards the end –the last few days (I began to feel) that Trump would win hopefully and with a strong enough result to even beat fraud.
So their must be tears at Albo’s and KRud’s respective houses -boo hoo oh and Kamala’s for sure -she can’t even come out and accept the loss, apparently their houses are made of cards.

Cheers Mike Reed and may God bless America

Yes, the US news is full of election material … mostly rubbish.
I think the media here was in shock and delaying saying it out loud.
For me I’ve gotten some better perspectives from you.
For example, I learned about the GEC from you.
Also realizing from your article that the US media dissembled into propaganda about that same time.

I think, maybe being Australian, you have a outside view of things that I really appreciate.
You and the commenters here, have been one of my main sources of news for a while.
As I’ve said too often, I think the climate issue is a foundational symptom of the weird politics we been experiencing now for a couple of decades at least.

I’d also would like to see American lead by example where necessary, and follow when necessary, as real leadership does.
I’m so hoping Trump can draw in the war machine at least a little.
          Here’s to you.
And your great and beautiful country.
          Thanks for what you do.

Honk, even though we’re a long way from the US, these days we’re really not. You would not believe the influence of US culture, media, politics, science policy etc on Australia. This is not unusual as many countries experience the same effect. It was concentrated even more during COVID, where we had public health officials here basically following all Fauci’s edicts and aping US media. In a lot ways Australia is a bit of a “mini” USA. A lot of Aussies would not like to admit it, but it’s true.

All the pre-perpared headlines and stories about the ‘First Woman President’ have to be junked. And now their brains have frozen, as they contemplate the reality that no one takes any notice of them anymore. It’s a decisive victory (for the people) and total defeat (for the media). This was less about Trump vs Harris and more about, The People vs The Media. There is an entire generation in the media who thought they ruled the world.

        Yes.

There is a lot of tip-toeing euphemism about Trump’s “persistence” and energy.

Very few describe it, properly, as courage. I suggest this is so because most politicians lack that courage and quite wish it not be obvious. So they describe Trump’s most admirable quality as something lesser than it is.

The biggest surprise for me is is that Trump made his biggest gains in deep blue states.

He lost California by 30 points in both 2016 and 2020. In 2024 he got it down to the mid teens.

He lost New York by over 20 points in both 2016 and 2020. In 2024, he got it down around 10 points.

Even people in the bluest of blue states were tuning out the ‘Trump is a racist, nazi, misogynist who wants to put you all in camps and put a padlock on your uterus’ legacy media propaganda firehose and casting their first vote for the Bad Orange Man. I never thought I would see that happen. It gladdens my heart to see that even in the most liberal states, people are capable of engaging their critical thinking and see through the gaslighting.

I think he’ll do better than last time due to lessons learned – better people around him and probably toughened resolve to handle resistance from the bureaucracy.
But like any government, there’s stuff he’s not going to deliver for one reason or another.
The main ones I hope he makes significant progress on that his successor can build on are immigration, putting a lid on the green/ESG BS, reining in the power of Big Pharma and the Wall Street cartel, getting Russia and Ukraine to bring the war to an end, and pulling the US back out of the WHO and out of the UN, and putting China back in its place.

He’ll definitely have a more united administration now that he has people who believe in him staffing it up rather than rat bastard neocon Quislings like Reince Priebus filling the White House with a bunch of fellow travelers who will sabotage Trump at every chance they get. It will also help that Republican voters have spent the past eight years primary-ing establishment country club Republicans like Paul Ryan and Liz Cheney and chasing them out of the party.

Trump won’t have to fight his own staff and his supposed ‘allies’ on Capitol Hill this time around. Now he can give his full concentration to playing divide and conquer with the Democrat side of the aisle, where there are plenty of opportunities to drive wedges in their coalition and work the Art of the Deal on them.

How can the Blob cheat their way out of this?

They were still trying this time. Reports (with pictures) on Twitter/X & Gab showing boxes of ballots being unloaded from cars with out-of-state registration plates after voting had closed. Philadelphia tried to stop counting early, until RNC lawyers intervened and forced them to continue through the night, as they are legally required to do. Independent voting observers being turfed out until (once again) lawyers threatened action if they weren’t allowed to do their jobs. And, not forgetting, many areas suffering voting machine “Malfunctions” – with people being told their ballots would be counted later – just like in 2020. Fortunately, enough people voted early to overcome their desperate efforts. And a whole bunch of Amish voted for the first time after having their farms invaded by meddling health officials earlier this year.

20 hour day yesterday. Report from the ground.

My wife and are Chief Election Judges in Montana in (2) precincts in a Red County in a Red State. This was our 5th presidential election.

We were stunned all day as to how many people voted in person. There was a line waiting at 7:00 am and people were still voting right up to the deadline at 8:00 PM. 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020 were not like this at all. We collected dozens and dozens – maybe 100 Absentee ballots. We lost count. These people didn’t want to use the US Postal Service. Some drove 20 miles just to drop off an envelope. It was totally different and wonderful to see.

You could actually feel what was about to happen. Woke up after 4 hours sleep and feel just great.

I love America, served my country in the US Army and I am so relieved America did not go down the Marxist path electing the daughter of a Marxist professor.

The turn out was stupendous, indeed. When I took my elderly father in to vote absentee, because he is on a walker or wheel chair and can’t handle the standing in lines, the workers said they they had never seen it like this before. We still had to wait in a line briefly.

Then yesterday when I went to the polling place it was pandemonium. Lines out of the building. It was like getting tickets for a Beatles concert circa 1965. I didn’t know so many people existed in my precinct. And the weather was abominable. Blowing snow and a icy wind that could cut you in two. I often work out in the elements, but it was terrible weather even for me. The people braved the weather, it was that important to them.

      A Landslide. And a mandate.

Here in Northeast Ohio, I voted at 9AM and it was definitely more crowed than normal (I have been voting at the same polling place for the past 20 years). One of the poll workers said that there was a long waiting line that wrapped around the building when the polling placed opened at 6:30AM.

It’s quite bizarre the US election system. Certainly you have 10x the number of people needing to vote than Australia. So, there’s that. But everything is relative , you would think you would have 10x times the number of polling stations. In Australia, state/federal elections are held on a Saturday. ( most peoples’ day off) and the longest I have ever probably waited in line to vote would have been 15mins. All voting pencil and paper after having your name ticked off the electoral roll (ruled out with pencil), then your folded completed paper vote shoved into a box. All supervised by our AEC with very few glitches. Amazing difference, hopefully that might be one of the things that the Trump administration fixes.

Here’s the problem in the US.

          States control the elections.
50 states – 50 different sets of rules
States let the counties decide what to do
3,144 counties in the US – 3,144 different sets of rules

          Montana as an example.

145,000 square miles and 1 million people. My county is the size of the state of Connecticut – 5,400 square miles but only 3% of Connecticut’s 4 million people. We use paper ballots, no internet nonsense and ballots are counted by simple machines that are accurate. Pretty easy.

Petroleum County on the Montana prairie (we call these people “flatlanders”) is bigger than the state of Rhode island. Rhode island has 1,000,000 people – Petroleum County has 543 people. That’s it and maybe 350 voters. They close the polls at 8:00 pm and four volunteers count the ballots by hand for an hour and that’s that. Done.

Try and reform all this is difficult.

          100

          • #
            Sceptical Sam

Well, it might be difficult John Galt III, but it is also a strength.
That complexity makes it very hard and costly to manipulate all the counties.

Imagine the situation if it was all run by Washington with Online voting only.

Even in Australia we still don’t have to show ID to get our names marked off the electoral roll. Vote early and vote often could have been invented here. Who’s to know how many times an individual has voted? Each electorate has multiple polling booths. All with the same electoral roll. You can go to each booth and vote. Nobody would know on the day that you’d already voted. When the Electoral Commission comes a-knocking at your door, what do you say?

            Prove it, buster. Buggar off!

I’m watching the Channel 9 post election coverage. More of the same from the MSM (they are using mainly CNN coverage.) It’s pathetic and you can see the pain on their faces as they try to explain their loss. Nothing objective in this coverage except for one Australian analyst (didn’t catch his name), who was excellent. I will search his image on Google later. I called my son, over in Wollongong, this afternoon, where he runs a heavy equipment service company for the mining and energy industry. He had just arrived home and was sipping champagne.

Kamala will still get to be the first woman (and woman of color) to be POTUS. Here’s the scenario. Hunter Biden will be pardoned by Joe for all crimes committed. Joe will then resign making Harris POTUS until Trump’s inauguration. She will issue pardons to Joe for any crimes he committed such as taking bribes and failing to pay taxes of income claimed to be loan repayments. She might well issue pardons to others in the administration.

Kalifornia, on the other hand, went 58% to Harris.

I took the liberty of fixing the spelling.

But outside of the big urban centers Cali is mostly red. There is probably far less cheating in the rural counties too.

“Talking about Elon — Trump raved and said “We have to protect our super geniuses”. This is so incredibly rare — the recognition at the highest level that scientific and engineering genius needs to be protected.”

That’s an experienced businessman talking, not a politician. Good businessmen understand that success is built on a foundation of good people and fostering excellent teams. Politicians simply don’t understand that.

The other difference between Trump and career politicians is his effectiveness in putting together deals. He knows that the best deals benefit BOTH sides and that compromise is sometimes necessary. He knows that presenting a strong face to the guy on the other side of the table is absolutely vital, and that effective negotiation requires strategic thinking, plus understanding what the other guy really needs – and where his weaknesses are.

Still, I remain pessimistic about what Trump will be allowed to do. How far the obstruction and sabotage will go is hard to say at this stage, but for sure the Democrat elites won’t give up easily.

yes indeed – we can look forward to endless court cases trying to pin Trump down in every felony they can imagine – then will come the impeachment attempts to try to remove him like Nixon. The deep state does not forgive or forget they just try to get even – or ahead – for that matter. Good luck America! We will be watching.

Who knew that putting forward policies that actually made life better for your citizens instead of pandering to supranational unaccountable organisations and making things worse for your citizens would be popular?

Feels like there is a real groundswell of political parties starting to turn in this direction.

And watch how they are all called fascists by wailing progressives.

If the Democrate old guard step aside right now. They might recover in time to mount a challenge to Vance in 4 years. If they have to have the reins of power prised from the icey grip of their cold dead hands (as I suspect) we are looking at a possible 12 year GOP run.

A few weeks ago I commented about following the US vote counting in 2020, noting that Trump was ahead until “Then a miracle happened” with a pause, after which suddenly in several key States Trump was no longer leading. I threw down my pencil in disgust at the blatant cheating.
Several people criticised my take, saying there was no evidence of cheating, that this late Democrat surge was expected from the patterns of voting booths, etc.
Now, after the Trump 2024-5 victory, where was the “expected” late Democrat surge? It was absent.
I was not wrong to cry foul in 2020. Nor was President Trump wrong. The Dems cheated. Geoff S

Now here is a strange thing Geoff.
It is being reported that there were about 15M fewer votes cast in this election than in the previous presidential election in 2020. Were all those votes fr….ent manufactured votes?

Even Trump seems to have had fewer votes, despite the reports of record turnout at polling booths. How does that work?

Really happy with the result, especially with the odds I got on Trump winning 5 weeks ago. With the winnings will buy a new paddle which will be given the name “The Don”.

    Seemed totally obvious to me.

KH was a terrible candidate who had never gone through the primary process to refine her message and take the hits needed to work out a good defense.

KH was terrible in her role as the Immigration Tsar; in an election where immigration was going to be a critical issue.

The Democrat party machine had destroyed its credibility with swing voters about the capacity of Biden to lead when it was obvious he was totally unfit; we were initially told he had a cold as the excuse for his cadaver like performance in the first debate before suddenly he was unfit to lead. To any unbiased person it was clear he was in cognative decline even in 2020.

Trump appears eternally optimistic that even if you don’t vote for him, he can still win your vote, KH seemed to run on the fact she was “Not Trump”.

MAGA is, even from a purely grammar perspective, a positive and active message about what is to come. It is a bit like “I love puppies”, if you against it you look bad.

KH wasted precious weeks at the start of her campaign with the “Joy Joy” and “Feel the Vibe” messaging instead of distancing herself from Biden and the terrible economic failings of that administration and talking about actual hard policies. Her answer to the very first question in the debate was dodging and evasive.

And from the BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics) website, you can track real wages of people by education level. The “no high school” and “high school grad” levels experienced falling real wages for three decades before Trump was elected, their real wages went up significantly during the Trump years (up to covid I thought he was a shoe in to be re-elected). Because of the high inflation triggered by the Orwellian named Inflation Reduction Act, real wages of the less educated fell sharply because of Biden economics. This is a really significant number of voters.

The NY Times had a fabulous graphic (https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/11/05/us/elections/results-president.html) showing the swing by county from 2020 to this election and the entire country (west coast had not been updated at that stage) was an almost unbroken sea of red. Only around Atlanta was there a tiny cluster of blue. Along the border the swing was consistently 15% to 20% with Maverick County swinging 28 points to Trump. This result was a total landslide.

Has anybody here watched Kamala’s ‘concession speech’? It is absolutely disgraceful. A blatant attempt to call out the troops. She briefly acknowledges that Trump won and blithely promises to work with him to “unite” America, yet she then goes on to call upon her supporters to continue to fight. I didn’t count, but she must use the word ‘fight’ fifty times or more. Pretty much the whole speech is a call to arms, an incitement to rebel against the Trump administration, far, far worse than anything Trump was ALLEGED (misrepresented) to have said before the Jan. 6 protest.

Of course the mainstream media will ignore this and call the speech ‘graceful’ etc.

Having another set of data points makes it quite clear that significant numbers of “voters”, who first cast a ballot by mail during Covid
when ballots were mailed out without request, chose this time neither to request a mail ballot or vote in person. The suspected anomolies are
now better defined in the data series, and will be used quietly to help pass some needed reforms, as will the few documented attempts by non-citizens to vote.
Also of note, voters appear to have rejected Ranked Choice voting everywhere it was on the ballot. Hanky and Panky are running for cover, and need
to be fully hidden before the Justice Department staff is swapped out.

Among all the day’s election coverage, I was reminded of something Pelosi said recently. In an interview, she said that Biden was such a great president that he should be immortalised on Mt Rushmore, alongside Roosevelt, Lincoln, Jefferson and Washington. Seriously. I don’t know if that shows how stupid she is, or how stupid she (and the Democrat elites) think regular Americans are.

That will be the first of many mobs to follow Harris’s call to “fight”. One of them even quoted that word on a placard, clearly showing that they were doing Harris’s bidding. All such demos and riots should be pinned on Harris and the Democrats, for subverting democracy and the will of the people. Perhaps Harris should be indicted and otherwise tied up in lawfare for the next four years.

The reality is that those behind Epstein Island, the media lies, the lawfare, the Climate Scam, the Immigration scam, etc., were entirely unaffected by the first Trump presidency so anyone who imagines the second Trump presidency will be anything but hot air is deluded.

Epstein Islanders are still in control – they still ensure that they are not being prosecuted by remaining in control, and with and without Trump, their corruption is endemic in the US and it is a system run by the corrupt for the corrupt and Trump will not change that.
