I don’t know whether or not you’ve read Mattias Desmet, ‘The Psychology Of Totalitarianism’, but either way ‘The Indoctrinated Brain’, by Michael Nehls is essential reading.
It details how the war against our brains and minds is being executed and how to regain optimal health in the light of the latest research.
I’m about halfway through it and already inspired.

It reminds me of a woke green architect I know of who designed accommodation for a girl’s boarding school in Victoria (Australia).

When the building was finished the school, who had obviously not been engaged in much oversight of the project, said “where’s the air con”? And the clueless architect said it wasn’t needed.

This was about 25 years ago in Victoria, back in the days when it actually used to be hot.

The school had to retrofit air con at huge expense and obviously a retrofit like that will never look as nice as if it was installed at the time of design and building.

I lean towards a combination of incompetence and lack of personnel.
I also don’t discount opportunists – security service people not taking action because they made an instant decision to do nothing when they saw what was happening.
I think the logistics of a real conspiracy are pretty large, with the chance of success diminishing as the number of collaborators increases.

The warehouse building was a staging area for local law enforcement, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi acknowledged in a separate interview.

A sniper from a local tactical team deployed to assist the U.S. Secret Service at former President Donald Trump’s rally on Saturday took a picture of the gunman and saw him looking through a rangefinder minutes before he tried to assassinate the former president, a local law enforcement officer with direct knowledge of the events told CBS News.

The sniper was one of three snipers, members of local tactical teams, who were stationed inside the building that the shooter used in the attack, the officer said. The operations plan had them stationed inside, looking out windows toward the rally, scanning the crowd. The details about the three snipers were first reported by the local news outlet BeaverCountian.com.

One sniper inside spotted the gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, outside and looking up at the roof, observing the building and disappearing, according to the officer who spoke to CBS News. The sniper observed Crooks as he returned to the building, sat down and looked at his phone. At that point, one of the local snipers took a picture of Crooks.

IMPORTANT: No direct communication between local police officers on the ground and the Secret Service protecting Trump

Next, the local sniper observed Crooks looking through a rangefinder, an instrument routinely used by marksmen to determine the distance of a target, and he immediately radioed to the command post, according to the local law enforcement officer. The local sniper also attempted to send the photo of the gunman up the chain of command.

The command post, according to multiple law enforcement officials, served as a central hub to streamline communications between U.S. Secret Service and the local officers from nearby state and county police forces. It is unclear if the command post received the alert.

Secret Service Director Allegedly Didn’t Want to Put Snipers on a Sloped Roof

We heard Monday from DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas that he has full faith in Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, who’s said she’s not stepping down after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump on Saturday. President Joe Biden told NBC News’ Lester Holt that he’d “heard from him.”

Cheatle was interviewed by ABC News and said the reason the Secret Service didn’t have snipers on the roof where the shooter managed to climb up is because it was a sloped roof.

“That building in particular has a sloped roof at its highest point. And so, you know, there’s a safety factor that would be considered there that we wouldn’t want to put somebody up on a sloped roof,” she said. “And so, you know, the decision was made to secure the building, from inside.”

            CORRUPTION

Biden’s Team Deliberately Kneecapped Trump’s Security To Allow An Assassination Attempt

            BY: SEAN DAVIS – JULY 16, 2024

They kept the rooftop open, watched the shooter, kept Trump on the stage, and didn’t do a damn thing until after he had been shot.

And we’re supposed to believe it was an innocent oopsie?

Nobody wants to hear this because of the implications, but oh well, because it needs to be said: Joe Biden’s security regime deliberately and with malice and forethought created the conditions that led to an attempted assassin shooting Donald Trump in the head. It is by the grace of God that he lived and our nation is not currently in the midst of a violent civil war.

They deliberately starved Trump’s security team of the resources it needed. And they did it repeatedly, over many weeks and months.

With Trump’s security detail understaffed, under-resourced, and stretched to its limits, Biden’s security regime reportedly diverted even more resources to a hastily planned Jill Biden event that just happened to be in the area.

Biden’s security regime then ordered the most obvious assassination perch in the entire area to remain outside the main security perimeter.

Furthermore, Biden’s Secret Service director ordered law enforcement and counter-snipers OFF the roof the assassin used.

If that weren’t enough, Biden’s security regime also refused to block the line of sight from the assassin’s perch to Trump’s location. When law enforcement radioed in a suspicious person using a laser range finder at the building and even took photos of him, nothing was done to detain the assassin.

The assassin was so obviously a threat that bystanders at the event begged law enforcement to stop him, but nothing happened. And even as snipers on the roof near Trump saw a gunman on the other roof, Biden’s security regime refused to have agents immediately surround Trump or remove him from the stage to protect him from being shot.

Given the lies and nonsense from both Biden’s Department of Homeland Security secretary and his Secret Service director, it’s increasingly difficult to believe this was just a series of independent mistakes (Secret Service director Kim Cheatle at one point this week claimed snipers couldn’t be on the roof because it was sloped and they might fall and hurt themselves).

Director Cheatle has said the reason they didn’t put Secret service on the roof, 130 yards away from the stage was because side it was too dangerous due the roofs slope. So she’s clearly lying. The roof was less steep than the ones snipers were stationed on.

        Max_Fender3 @Max_Fender3

This is the dangerously steep roof that prevented a team to safely be stationed on! That might be a 2/12 pitch. Almost a flat roof. Director Cheatle is lying and can not be trusted!

It’s reasonable at this stage to suggest that the reason, that Secret Service agents were directed not to observe activity on the roof but to remain inside the building, was the recognition that an assassin could remain concealed there until signalled that it was time to shoot.

That clinches it for me. Had she simply confessed to an oversight I might have had my doubts that this was all a deliberate effort to provide an opportunity to kill Trump, but the fact that she says they deliberately left that roof available on the basis of a flimsy, transparent excuse nails it down.

Those security officers were actually instructed not to go up on the roof. Gotcha.

The ‘Climate Emergency’ is a Myth, Says Nobel Prize Winner John Clauser. Here’s Why He’s Right

    BY DR RUDOLPH KALVEKS

    8 JUNE 2024

In a recent lecture, Nobel Laureate physicist John Clauser exposed how the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) models and analyses, which are relied upon by politicians and activists to support claims of a ‘climate crisis’, do not meet basic standards of scientific enquiry. Clauser received his Nobel prize in 2022 for the observational measurement of quantum entanglement and understands well the problem of distinguishing a physical signal from background noise.

Clauser shows that, when corrected for the IPCC’s error prone arithmetic and statistics, the observational data do not support the power imbalance claimed to be responsible for global warming. Furthermore, the outputs of climate models are at variance with the observational record. Clauser discusses the roles of convection, clouds and their variability in providing a negative feedback mechanism, and proposes that this acts as a thermostat that stabilises surface temperatures. Clauser’s conclusion is that claims of a ‘climate crisis’ lack scientific substance and that Net Zero policies are an unnecessary hindrance.

    ….

    Conclusions

In conclusion, Clauser argues that the negative feedback mechanisms in the Earth’s climate system stabilise temperatures against warming due to increases in radiative forcing. As a corollary, there is no CO2 induced anthropogenic global warming climate crisis. The negative feedbacks similarly serve to stabilise surface temperatures against cooling. Such a thermostatic mechanism that draws on the thermodynamic properties of water can explain how a water-rich planet such as the Earth has been hospitable to life throughout history.

The climate narrative promulgated by the IPCC and its advocates is based on poor statistics, the flawed cherry-picking of data and an incomplete treatment of physical mechanisms, which includes ignoring important negative feedbacks.

The unique properties of water that ensure convective instability in the atmosphere regulate the energy balance. Prevents more energy in when ocean surface hits 30C and keeps more in when ocean surface is below 14C and essentially stops ocean heat loss when temperature gets down to -1.7C.

Check it out: Libs of TikTok https://x.com/libsoftiktok

What Patty is referring to in condensed form, by LoTT:
    .
Meet Alison Scott, a teacher at @Ardmore_Tigers. She appears sad the sh**ter missed and “wishes” he had a better scope. These are the people educating your kids.
    .
Meet Jessica Fore, a Democrat activist in Georgia, who tried and failed to run for public office. This is how Democrats are “toning it down.” Making H*tIer references. They can’t help themselves…
    .
They’re sending “condolences” to the sh**ter now. These people are seriously disturbed.
    .
    They want us all dead.
    .
Meet Shawn Raup-Konsavage @shawnraup, the Mayor of Bernville, PA. He reportedly said “try harder” after the sh**ter missed. A petition is going around to get him removed after he allegedly bragged about no one being able to kick him out of office. Our tax dollars fund his
    .
Anyone noticed that most of the people crying because a US President wasn’t ass*ss*nated have pronouns in their bio? These are the people who preach “tolerance” and “love.” “Hate has no home here” right?!
    .
Meet Jennifer Miralles, an attorney for Iowa’s State Public Defenders Office. She allegedly made this post about being upset that the sh**ter missed. Iowa’s State Public Defender Jeff Wright responded to our request for comment stating, “This type of rhetoric should not be condoned or tolerated.” However, in a follow-up email, he declined to comment on Jennifer’s employment status.

Tenacious D NZ tour cancelled after Jack Black ‘blindsided’ by Kyle Gass’ Trump shooting comment

      https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/522351/tenacious-d-nz-tour-cancelled-after-jack-black-blindsided-by-kyle-gass-trump-shooting-comment

The 64-year-old was presented with a birthday cake on stage when it all went south. Gass was asked to make a birthday wish, to which he apparently replied, “don’t miss Trump next time”.

An hour later, Gass expressed his regret for the comment in an Instagram statement.

“The line I improvised onstage Sunday night in Sydney was highly inappropriate, dangerous, and a terrible mistake. I don’t condone violence of any kind, in any form, against anyone.

“What happened was a tragedy, and I’m incredibly sorry for my severe lack of judgement. I profoundly apologise to those I’ve let down and truly regret any pain I’ve caused.”

“Staged Theatrics To Win Idiots’ Vote”: Virginia Prof Declares Trump Shooting Was Faked

      Authored by Jonathan Turley

      https://www.zerohedge.com/political/staged-theatrics-win-idiots-vote-virginia-prof-declares-trump-shooting-was-faked

Turley – So let me get the conspiracy down.

The Secret Service allowed a kid who flunked out of the high school shooting club as a bad shot to fire multiple rounds at the former president from a sloped roof at 130 yards in the hope that he would only wing him?

University of Virginia Assistant Professor Sethunya Mokoko

He is not alone. Within minutes of the assassination attempt, the staging theory was going viral and has been picked up by many on the left. For example, actress Amanda Seales took to social media to claim that Trump used fake stage blood and sound effects to stage his assassination attempt.

Tennessee state Rep. Antonio Parkinson posted a statement that “I certainly hope this is not a staged act. But.”

Colorado state Rep. Steve Woodrow, D-Denver, declared “The last thing America needed was sympathy for the devil but here we are.”

Aberdeen, Wash., Mayor Douglas Orr declared “The shooter is dead so we will never know if this was staged. I hope I’m wrong, but because of his record of deceit, that’s the first thing that came to mind.”

Still others accepted that the shooting was real, but complain that Crooks should not have missed. Bellarmine University English instructor John James posted on Instagram: “If you’re gonna shoot, man, don’t miss.”

Jack Black’s Tenacious D partner Kyle Gass made a wish while performing with Black that the next assassination would not miss. Various people joined in on regretting that the assassination was not successful.

    Barf Alert – Reuters article

Joe Biden admits it was mistake to say Donald Trump should be put ‘in a bullseye’

    https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/world/522273/joe-biden-admits-it-was-mistake-to-say-donald-trump-should-be-put-in-a-bullseye

“It was a mistake to use the word,” Biden said in an interview with NBC’s Lester Holt, referring to the “bullseye” comment.

“I meant focus on it, focus on what he’s doing … Focus on the number of lies he told in the debate.”

“I’m not the guy that said I want to be a dictator on day one. I’m not the guy that refused to accept the outcome of the election,” Biden said.

“How do you talk about the threat to democracy, which is real, when a president says things like he says? Do you just not say anything because it may incite somebody?” Biden said. “I have not engaged in that rhetoric. Now … my opponent’s engaged in that rhetoric.”

Reuters – Trump repeated well-worn falsehoods during the debate, including that he won the last election.

    Labor Government Incompetence at Work!

Catastrophic weather cuts off last road into Jenolan Caves

Years of catastrophic weather ranging from fire, floods, storms, landslips and endless rain has led to the closure of world heritage-listed Jenolan Caves precinct for at least 18 months for repairs to the only remaining access road and historic Caves House.

Critics say the long closure may have been avoided if the NSW government, which owns the property, and Transport for NSW, which manages Jenolan Caves Road, had acted faster.

A Transport NSW spokesperson said the road was on extremely challenging terrain. It was badly damaged by bushfires in 2019 and 2020, and severe weather in 2021 and 2022, and again in April this year. The caves were closed for 230 days in 2022, and most of January and February in 2023, because of bad weather.

As Jenolan Caves Road has been forged through mountainous terrain, the road itself and the slopes adjacent are susceptible to instability,” the spokesperson said. Workers repairing the road near Hampton had to abseil down the slope.

The NSW government has committed $50 million in natural disaster funding to remediate Two Mile Hill.

Bruce Welch, the chair of the Jenolan Environment Protection Committee who once discovered a new cave in the system, said the damage need not have been catastrophic.

Heritage expert and former chair of the Jenolan Caves Trust, Professor Richard Mackay, said the NSW government had not done enough to protect the precinct.

Mackay said there had been major damage to infrastructure. “Meanwhile, you have a globally significant cave system which has historically been a major tourist attraction for more than century, and it can’t be accessed and enjoyed by the community.

“It is just tragic that such an important part of the Greater Blue Mountains world heritage area is under such pressure because of recent disasters like bushfires and floods.”

Repairs by Transport for NSW to the Two-Mile Hill section of the steep and windy Jenolan Caves Road will begin in August. Transport for NSW said it had identified nine failure sites, of 500 metres in length, which will need to be reinforced.

The road to Wolgan Valley, also in the Central Tablelands of NSW, has been closed for indefinite period, after a landslide following heavy rain made the road impassable. It will require huge funds to restore it – & apparently Lithgow Council does not have such funds available. Residents in the valley are permitted to access a track into the valley, but only with an escort vehicle.

I would have thought the Emirati, who have an expensive resort in the valley, may have offered to finance the road restoration – but apparently not.

        Emirates wolgan valley

Located in the World Heritage-listed Greater Blue Mountains region, approximately 2.5 hours’ drive from Sydney, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley is an ultra-luxury conservation-based resort. Set on 7,000 acres of carbon-neutral conservation and wildlife reserve, the resort combines absolute luxury with a focus on sustainability.

        Current Status

After being closed indefinitely since June 2023 due to ongoing challenges with road access, the resort has announced its plans to reopen. A meeting between Lithgow Council and Emirates representatives led to an agreement on temporary and permanent road access solutions. The resort is expected to reopen soon, with a commitment to operate at 50% capacity initially.

        Key Features

. Spectacularly located at the southern end of the Wolgan Valley, at the foot of Mount Wolgan and Donkey Mountain
. 36 one-bedroom Heritage Suites constructed from wood and stone materials, inspired by the Federation period
. Recreational amenities include outdoor tennis courts, an outdoor pool, and a sauna
. Private road branches off Wolgan Road to follow the river to the property

The resort has applied to increase helicopter flights to transport guests over flood-affected roads, with a proposed increase from 14 to 105 weekly flights

We can’t trust politicized FBI to handle probe of Trump assassination bid

President Biden on Sunday announced an FBI investigation into the Secret Service’s astounding failure to protect Donald Trump at the rally in Butler, Pa., promising the probe would be “thorough and swift.”

But it’s folly to trust a federal law enforcement agency to obliterate interagency niceties by exposing all the foibles and flubs of fellow G-men.

Instead, we’ll likely see a vintage DC investigation along these lines: Please tell us if you screwed up. Also, is there someone else we can blame?

Yet the White House is telling Americans to blindly trust an agency whose acronym is now widely presumed to stand for Following Biden’s Instructions.

Good model, would have liked to see more of the structures adjacent to middle of carpark where, I think, Crooks propped his ladder and climbed up.

Also detail of the link canopies between sheds where Crooks “moved roof to roof”. Detail lost in that model although you can see them in the first direct overhead view

      Some thoughts:

      1) Team 1 snipers nearest probably were obscured by the tree when Crooks first climbed the ladder to first shed roof. Clear view after that except down on link canopy (which one?) and bear crawling.

      2) Naked eye stuff. With all the vision aids – 4 sets of binoculars and scopes – they should have had no difficulty when Crooks actually visible over the roof ridge. But not a criticism really unless actually doing it (easy from the armchair though). Sloppy pre-emptive work, prompt action by others, and communication issues (?) preceded all that.

      3) Team 2 had line-of-sight the entire time except below ridge lines. They ultimately made the kill shot (I think).

      4) The police guy that confronted Crooks was daft. He would have approached via the link canopy out of sight of Crooks. He then tried to climb on the shed roof with “both hands” on the edge – crazy. Weapon (surely he was armed?) in one hand other hand on the roof edge I would have thought, take look presenting minimal target and ready to duck down. And why the hesitation to shoot? Again, easy to criticize from the armchair.

      5) I’ve commented previously that if an entity serious on offing Trump would have access to sniper rifles at least as good as USSS and probably better (others noted 2000 yds capability) and skilled snipers to pick from (or hunters) and maybe multiple to make sure. They would not need an intermediary doofus.

      6) Re 5) and the terrain features available for long shot(s) by sniper(s) skilled in both shooting and camouflage, It was noted by a guy on site that there were some other nearby features where a sniper(s) could have taken a position.

      7) Re 6) The criteria, as I remember from compulsory military training at school in NZ long ago (yes, live fire at targets too), for camouflage is SSS – Size-Shape-Silhouette.

      8) Water tower (see model) – fails SSS and is within naked eye sight anyway and obviously not a long shot.

      9) Trees – not ideal for sniper rifle.

      10) Elevated ground – plenty of options.

      11) There’s another overlooked option: Plenty of other elevated structures in the distance (see model)

        My contention.

It is my contention that any serious and well resourced attempt at presidential assassination in 21st century firearm equipment and military/hunter skills that there would be multiple long-shot shooters; that no-one, like USSS, would know where the shots came from or even hear them (SS gals at the podium were in complete disarray in this latest case for example)

Also my contention, contrary to many including my own initial suspicions, that Crooks acted alone; scouted the place in advance; probably had ideas previously but was very late planning his act (e.g. evidenced by late purchase of ladder); was opportunistic driven by, probably, social media, but little more than an impromptu act when realizing Trump was in town; and, had extraordinary luck in execution.

          From article previous:

One of the more interesting aspects in the flood of analysis on the attempted Trump assassination is the commentary by former military and SWAT snipers experienced in providing security details for political figures. Nearly all of them confirm that the Secret Service surveillance planning during the Butler, PA rally was perhaps the worst they have ever seen. It was so bad, in fact, that it almost appears as if the massive holes in the perimeter were deliberate.

          From article previous:

The 140 yard shot gift-wrapped and handed to alleged shooter Thomas Crooks was so easy, even for an amateur, that Trump should not be alive today. The bullet, reportedly fired from an AR15 running 5.56 (or .223 ammunition), would have left a deadly and expansive impact wound had it been less than an inch to the shooter’s right. Here is test footage of .223 rounds impacting a realistic ballistic gel head for a visual reference:

[ballistic gel and a cast resin skull filled with fake blood]

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrwKqQpa_YQ

Trump lucked out with the worst assassin possible. This does not take away from the fact that Crooks was somehow allowed to casually approach the AGR building and climb to the roof with a rifle only 140 yards away from the rally stage without any intervention from Secret Service. Crooks had every card stacked in his favor. Why was there no security on that roof? We are still waiting for answers.

Well put together, Richard. There are still unanswered questions regarding the lack of security on the shooter’s roof position, and also the delay in the final shots by the police spotters. But I still believe that incompetence, and antipathy towards the Trumpian occasion, may explain any remaining reservations.

Zoom in and you can see the loading ramp area where Crooks (I think) placed his ladder.

You can also see the 2 link canopies between near-side and next shed roofs.

And all the roofs in that corner in detail.

I’m still amazed that Crooks got up so easily by ladder. I expected facility roof access, having been around similar structures like kiwifruit packhouses linked to coolstores by link canopies. Although access there is by scissor lift generally.

Officers kill man with no active warrants at wrong house

Documents show that Southaven officers went to the wrong house to serve a warrant on Monday, which resulted in the shooting death of a man who did not have any active warrants out for his arrest.

A warrant out of Tate County shows Samuel Pearman was wanted for domestic assault. But, when Southaven officers arrived on Surrey Lane to arrest Pearman, they did not show up to the correct house.

Instead, officers missed their target by 36 feet. Those 36 feet made all the difference to Ismael Lopez and his wife.

SMH is hot! Dishonesty and lies of this magnitude should be punished.

“Dutton’s nuclear ‘frolic’ a recipe for higher bills and blackout risk: Energy Minister Chris Bowen will say Australians can choose “reliable renewables or risky reactors – but not both”.”

“Nuclear not the solution Australia needs, says electricity grid chief”

“Unpick the damage that’s been done’: The Minns government will tighten land-clearing laws loosened by the Coalition in 2016 and strengthen the contentious biodiversity offsets scheme.”

But not worry about land being cleared for the wind farms of course!

There is the repeated “Appeal to Authority” logical fallacy and the SCIRO “GenCost” report which is complete garbage as it does not factor in the cost back-up batteries for unreliable wind and solar where the cost for these run into the A$ Trillions without coal or gas back-up. Even base-load nuclear will require some gas back-up for peak periods

..and the Lancet is trying yet another way to make sure only approved ‘science’ is published. Good or bad, their record, and “Nature”s speak for themselves.

“There’s a litany of other examples where discounting dodgy data can fundamentally alter the evidence that shapes clinical guidelines. That’s why, in The Lancet’s clinical journal eClinical Medicine, Mol and his colleagues have reported a new way to weed out bad science before it makes it to the clinic…..

The world-first framework lays out a series of steps researchers can take when conducting a meta analysis or writing medical guidelines to exclude dodgy data and untrustworthy findings….A panel decides if a paper has a medium to high risk of being untrustworthy.

In 2023, researchers applied RIGID to the International Evidence-based Guidelines for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), a long misunderstood and misdiagnosed syndrome that affects more than 1 in 10 women. In that case, RIGID discounted 45 per cent of papers used to inform the health guidelines.”

Lets see what happens when they apply their new ‘fact-checking science’ to the Ivermectin research. I’m sure they won’t run it over the Pharma research on Covid!

    All me a conspiracy theorist.

Dr Jill Biden recommended the apppointment of Kimberly Cheatle who she personally knew as the Director of the Secret Service.

Kimberly informed Dr Jill of the security arrangements being made for Trumps last public appearance before being offically confirmed as the Republican presidential candidate where he would announce his VP and heir apparent. This was the last chance to derail the Republician looming victory, with Trump leading Biden in the polls.

Dr Jill then arranges her own event requiring Secret Service coverage and the best agents are assigned to this event – leaving poorly trained amateurs to cover Trump’s event.

And the rest as they say is history – but not as planned by Dr Jill and her besty – Kimberly Cheat-le (who is now in full damage control mode claiming the roof their shooter used was too steep and HR Safety Policy prevented snipers being posted there – but it is OK for agents to but their bodies between the protectee and a potential second shooter!).

Whatever is the official version of events – do not believe it, especially as it is the FBI investigating.

        ‘Elegy’ vs. ‘Eulogy’

How to speak about what is lost
        What to Know
An elegy is a poem that expresses sorrow or melancholy, often about someone who has died. A eulogy is usually a speech that praises the achievements and character of a person who has died, often as part of a funeral service.

Y’day I knew nothing of Vance but I’ve watched half the movie [it’s a bit black and I was tired] and what I have heard and read today he sounds like a great VP pick. What I like is that it was an “up yours” to woke, a statement that he [Trump] is BOSS and doesn’t need a DEI pick to squeeze a few votes from some small group or state.

Yes, excellent point- Trump gives the feeling of The Boss all the time, he knows what he wants and doesn’t need to always compromise.

He may not be nice, or sophisticated, but I’d take him over these greasy politicians that you never know where they stand, anytime!

Exceptional conditions in south west Qld today –

At around midday “12C feels like 6C”.

I can remember two bouts like this since 1965. The 1965 one had snow at DC3 height that didn’t make the ground and snow on the Bunya Mountains which hasn’t happened this time so far.

Here for another week or so. Ought to mean that they’ll have to really wind the “fudging machine” up to get “The hottest July ever”

Now we need a model of who was the sniper(s) and how he shot the shooter (and did a second shooter get away)?

We also need the trajectory of the bullets that killed one supporter and wounded two others.

Based on my Older Grandkids thoughts through discusions, this would also apply in Australia.

    THE KIDS ARE NOT ALRIGHT

My organization sponsors a quarterly poll in conjunction with our magazine. Meeting Street Insights conducts the poll for us. For our Summer issue, we thought it would be interesting to poll young people in Minnesota, which we defined as ages 18 through 34. To my knowledge, no one has done this before. We asked young Minnesotans not about their views on politics or policy, but about their lives and concerns.

The results were stunning. Young people in Minnesota are deeply pessimistic about their futures, and their country’s future. We asked respondents whether their generation is better off economically than their parents’ generation, worse off, or the same.

Fully 90% said their generation is worse off than their parents’:

Our pollster was shocked at this finding: “You can’t get 90% of the people to agree on anything.”

Further, young people’s pessimism extends into the future. Asked whether the next generation will be economically better off, worse off, or the same as theirs, 68% said “worse off.”

In other words, the vast majority of young Minnesotans think they live in a country that is in a state of permanent decline. I have no reason to think the results would be much different in other states.

We asked our poll respondents whether they are concerned about a series of issues. Again, the results are striking. The concerns of young people are mostly economic, and fully rational. Eighty-three percent say they are worried about being able to buy a house. Sixty-four percent are concerned about public safety. Sixty percent are concerned about being able to pay off student loans, and 60% worry about being able to buy a car.

That’s refreshing! I didn’t realise the young people had such a good grasp of reality!

Now, what are they willing to do about it?

Massive press crackdown in Germany: Government bans Compact Magazine in unprecedented move, police search publisher’s home in early morning raid

    https://rmx.news/article/massive-press-crackdown-in-germany-government-bans-compact-magazine-in-unprecedented-move-police-search-publishers-home-in-early-morning-raid/

After the all-out assault on press freedom and the “show” raid by over 200 police officers wearing ski masks, legal critics are saying “Faeser’s actions are clearly unconstitutional”

Far-left German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser took to X to celebrate the banning of the publication, which she says she personally ordered.

Faeser herself famously wrote for Antifa Magazine, which was a publication supported by the VVN-BdA, which had been classified by the Office Protection of the Constitution (BfV) as “left-wing extremist.” She wrote the article shortly before she became interior minister.

Another thought on that “slippery roof” –

You can get a bipod for an AR. Which would have made the shooter a lot less obvious behind that ridge line.

Or was the roof just too steep to use one? Which smells of reconnaissance beforehand.

Or just “A tripod’s how the big boys do it”?

    Or something else
