The death of the Butcher of Tehran was celebrated in Iran. But the funniest response was the discovery that the pilot was a Mossad agent by the name of Eli. Eli Copter.

Another comment in Tehran was that it was the first time in recent history where a helicopter crashed and the entire country was hoping no one survived.

Supposedly the American Bell helicopter predated the revolution, I’m not sure transporting VIPs in vintage aircraft that you can’t legally get spares for, is particularly wise.

I was wondering about that. All the Shah’s armaments were American. So a 47 year old helicopter. Possibly much older. Vietnam war vintage.

In July 2013, after Asiana Airlines Flight 214 crashed during its final approach into San Francisco International Airport, killing three passengers, local station KTVU fell for a prank in which they were told the pilots on the flight had been identified as “Captain Sum Ting Wong,” “Wi Tu Lo,” “Ho Lee Fuk” and “Bang Ding Ow.”

My father (born 1914) had an uncle at Roma in Queensland.

    Via Jacinta Price:

They say Australia has an Oil Shortage:

A lot of folks can’t understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in Australia.

Well, there’s a very simple answer: Nobody bothered to check the oil.

We just didn’t know we were getting low.
The reason for that is purely geographical.

    Our OIL is located in:

    Bass Strait

    East Queensland Shale Fields

    Canning Basin

Perth Basin and North-West Continental Shelf

Our DIPSTICKS are located in Canberra!!!

In a funny way this is exactly the problem. Under the Constitution electrical, mechanical, oil power was NOT a function of Canberra.
All power came from State resources. Coal, oil, gas, hydro. There was not even an idea that Federal involvement was necessary.

And wind and solar are NOT state resources. So you could view the creation of an Australian grid, an Australian authority as another example of the Federal government literal grab for power. The control over oil, gas, coal is also positioned as part of an International political issue, not a state resource.

It’s a typical power problem with the attempts by the unemployed in Canberra to make more work for themselves by shutting down State control. Unfortunately that means the whole country has to run on sunshine and hot air.

Australia’s already spent billions on Snowy Hydro 2.0 – but this energy expert claims the massive project will never produce one watt of power

He said he was at a mining conference recently and the general consensus among energy experts is that the Snowy 2.0 project is potentially doomed.

‘They are very dubious about the outcome, and certainly there won’t be a commercial return, a positive commercial return out of the project, should it be completed.’

Proposals by Orchid Energy (2 years in preparation) to establish a 6000 MW capacity offshore windfarm adjacent to the Gladstone-Capricorn coast in Central Queensland attracted my great concern over recent months. These bird choppers (a minimum of 400+) would be smack bang in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park/UNESCO World Heritage Area, if ever approved. They would be just as destructive to this marine environment as the nearby land-based plants, highlighted by CO2 Lover above, are to our previously protected ‘high’ country.

I lobbied all the Local, State & Federal politicians (all parties) as well as the relevant State & Federal Ministers to shut down this stupid proposal immediately, but nothing but perfunctory replies were received. Then I made a submission to a current GBRMPA Southern Plan of Management Consultation ( submissions close late June). I was pleasantly surprised that, in advance of this Management Plan being forwarded to the Federal DCCEEW, my submission was passed onto that Department forthwith.

Lo & Behold – I received the following Official reply from DCCEEW “In advance of our more detailed response, the Australian Government is not considering the declaration of any area for offshore wind within the region covered by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park”. A win for the proles!

I just stumbled across a major reissue of fairly obscure Ion Idriess books on Booktopia. Over the last few years it looks like 20 – 25 of his books have been reprinted. So if you like being taken to another universe, by a very good writer, check him out. That other universe was the Australian far outback in the first decades of the 20th century. This is not ‘On Our Selection’. Idriess was Australia’s most famous, and prolific writer, from the 1930s to the 1960s, and he traveled, prospected, worked, and researched across the far north of the continent. (and New Guinea. He was on the first expedition to cross the island via the Fly river.) There are chapters in some of these obscure books that would make some of the best Australian short stories.
I would give 6 stars to ‘Over the Range’, ‘In Crocodile Land’, ‘Coral Sea Calling’, ‘Forty Fathoms Deep’, and ‘Drums of Mer’. I have never read Lasseter, Flynn or ‘The Cattle Kings’, and the only one of his own stories I didn’t like, was ‘One Wet Season’.

    The Irish are revolting!

Locals are destroying equipment being used to build houses for illegal fake refugees near Clonmel Ireland.

The equipment rental company is refusing to provide any more.

Also, a man of conviction takes a stand:

Many good men are going to need to take bold stands in the near future, thanks to this upside-down clown world we’re now living in. The reason we’re in this mess? Not enough men took a stand early on, and now it’s do or die. Thankfully, many are stepping up, and the latest story is sure to warm the cockles of your heart. As many countries in Europe fall under the weight of “delightful” diversity and cultural “enrichment”—which are transforming once-beautiful cities like London and Paris into violent, filthy hellholes—some patriotic men are refusing to surrender their traditions and culture. That’s precisely what happened at a construction site, where a young Irishman walked off the job because he refused to participate in building a migrant village.

    https://x.com/UltraDane/status/1792257188024734169

Stand up for your country and culture or be taken over, and diversity and enrichment turns into one culture, and only one.

San Diego Is Cracking Down on Groups Exercising Outside Without a Permit

A revision to the municipal code made it illegal for groups of four or more people to convene in public spaces for commercial recreational activities without a government stamp of approval.

The idea that the code provision ensures accessibility, meanwhile, is richly ironic, as it explicitly excludes from access those taxpaying San Diegans who have the audacity to work out with other people sans a permit. That they have gathered together as opposed to separately, or to do a specific activity as opposed to something nebulous, should not suddenly necessitate approval from the government.

Whether or not the rule will survive is up in the air: An attorney for a group of yoga instructors on Friday served a cease-and-desist letter to city officials. Whatever the case, it’s an example of the government implementing a solution in search of a problem, which didn’t actually exist until city leaders created it.

No-one falling for the bird flu scam then?

In the interest of scientific inquiry and to further reaffirm consumer confidence, USDA scientists initiated a series of studies on ground beef and beef muscle samples.

While we have not detected virus particles in any of the beef samples that have been assessed, a study was conducted to determine at what cooking temperatures H5N1 could be killed in meat. Again, in the interest of scientific inquiry.

To conduct the study, USDA researchers inoculated ground beef patties at a very high concentration of H5N1 virus surrogate. Once inoculated, the ground beef patties were cooked at different temperatures. Researchers found that there was no virus present in the burgers cooked to 145 degrees internal temperature, or roughly medium, or 160 degrees, which equates with a well done burger, which is the recommended cooking temperature.

Likewise we have not yet had any individual farm workers who have availed themselves of the $75 compensation that we’ve offered to participate in CDC studies.

And that’s largely because we have not yet, in the past week, identified any farms or farm workers that were willing to participate with us. 😆😆😆

We’re not giving up hope. We are in constant conversation with a number of states. We’re getting closer, but as of yet, nothing across the finish line.

      G’day J C II,
I get a regular newsletter from America’s Front Line Doctors (AFLDS) via email and today’s has the heading:

      ” Bird Flu Fearmongering”.

As well as that, this included paragraph is cheering:
” The same protocols we championed, that were used successfully against COVID-19, have shown promise against a variety of single-stranded RNA viruses, including the bird flu. This approach, which utilizes zinc and zinc ionophores like hydroxychloroquine and quercetin, supports immune function and inhibits viral replication effectively. ”

(I’m a bit disappointed she didn’t include vitamin D there, but her emphasis was on the scares, rather the cures.)

      Cheers,

BBC Push WEF Plan for London to Become a ‘SPONGE CITY’

Sponge Cities are the latest idea from the WEF to get us all to comply with the UN’s 2030 Agenda by stealth. Those 2030 goals proving to be a plan to dismantle our current world and ‘build it back’ as a Marxist utopia.

    Another Chinese Communist Party Idea.

Sponge Cities is a ‘new urban planning’ model in China that ’emphasises flood management’ via green spaces, over traditional drainage. Proposed by Chinese researchers in early 2000 and accepted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the State Council as the nationwide urban construction policy in 2014. The concept of sponge cities is claimed to help solve climate change and that urban flooding, water shortage and heat island effect can be alleviated by having more urban parks.

Sadiq Khan who secretly signed London up to the C40 City agenda that effectively bypasses democracy in favour of WEF direct government, created the London Climate Resilience Review, external to assess London’s preparedness for supposed ‘extreme weather events’. As part of the review Khan’s team have created the ‘surface water strategy’, conveniently siting private driveways and garden paving as contributing to the capital’s flooding.

In reality the Sponge City gives local councils the excuse to implement a whole raft of new rules which will include the banning of anyone paving over any garden area, the ban on turning any part of a garden to off-road parking, a likely law requiring those that have already done so to return the property to it’s original state. No new urban ‘sprawl’. with the return of ‘tower blocks’ for population density requirements, a ban on any extensions to your property with the goal to cram more and more humans into smaller and smaller areas.

In today’s Oz, from The Times. Some things never change.

“A report on Monday laid bare decades of a “chilling cover-up” by the National Health Service and governments in a “horrifying” scandal that has so far claimed 3000 lives, including those of 380 children, and infected about 30,000 people through blood transfusions and haemophilia drugs contaminated with HIV and hepatitis C in the 1970s and ’80s.

It has been labelled the worst treatment disaster in NHS history.

Doctors, health officials, the NHS, civil servants and government ministers are all accused of failing to put patient safety first over half a century of “systemic, collective and individual failures”.

Victims said they felt “validated and vindicated” by the report.

“We’ve known for decades, and now the country and the world knows,” Clive Smith from the Haemophilia Society said of the scandal and the cover-up.

Mr Sunak told parliament the report should “shake our nation to its core” as it revealed a “decades-long moral failure of the state”.

“The people and institutions in which we place our trust failed in the most harrowing and devastating way,” he said.

“This is an apology from the state to every single person impacted by this scandal … It should never have been this way.”

    Put it on the pile!

This will be the model which guides the handling of the even more scandalous Covid reckoning. Just like the tainted blood crime, it was known almost from the start that a massive mistake had been made, and a cover-up instigated to protect those responsible. As the scale of the damage became clear and calls for retribution grew, the illusion of progress was created through promises, fake investigations and other delaying tactics. Only when the scapegoats were dead did anything really happen, many years too late.

The same is happening now with Covid and I don’t expect that those responsible will face any sanctions – or even blame – for many years, by which time Fauci and his ilk will be long gone, along with many of his victims. Some future politicians will stand on a stage somewhere and, wearing a suitably grave face, admit that ‘mistakes were made’ (but not by me).

    Fun facts.

How many electrical accidents occur each year worldwide? About 400 people are electrocuted at home each year, resulting in about 200 deaths. On average, 4 people die from an at-home electrocution every week.

How many were killed by the Chernobyl accident? 78 are believed to have been directly killed by the disaster (31 due to the explosion, 28 due to radioactivity during cleanup, and an additional 19 for the same reason by 2004).

How many were killed at the Fukushima accident {Which was a civil engineering design failure)

In 2018, 1 cancer death of a man who worked at the plant at the time of the accident was attributed to radiation exposure by a Japanese government panel.

So why no alarmism over the use of electricity?

    Australian data:

In the 2-year period {2016-2018}, almost 1,100 hospitalised cases were identified as having an electrical
injury involving exposure to an electric current or lightning.

During the 2-year period, 55 deaths involving electrical injury were found in the National
Mortality Database—50 males and 5 females.

Of these deaths, 8 (15%) were Victims of lightning, all of them males. A total of 17 deaths
were due to Intentional self-harm by other specified means including electrocution (31%),
while 18 deaths were due to Exposure to other specified electric current (33%).

“Are You Staring Me Down?”: Judge Merchan Becomes an Oddity in his Own Courtroom

JONATHAN TURLEY – Res ipsa loquitur – The thing itself speaks

Below is my column in the New York Post on the meltdown of Michael Cohen on the stand in the Manhattan trial of former President Donald Trump. In a trial careening out of control, Judge Juan Merchan seemed to be furiously working to just get the matter to the jury as fast as possible. Judge Merchan seems in open denial of the legal farce playing out in his courtroom. He is only the latest person pulled into the vortex of the swirling corruption around Michael Cohen.

    Here is the column:

    From the Comments:

    – Juan “The Con” Merchan is going down in the dustbin of worthless, corrupt judges along with Arthur “The Moron” Engoron and Scott “The Clot” McAfee.

All three will be historically referred to as examples of sleazy, vile, dishonest, dishonorable, unscrupulous, unprincipled, amoral, untrustworthy, underhanded, deceitful, double-dealing, disreputable, discreditable, and shameful “judges.”

Their names will become words. When a case is brought before a judge taking bribes, for example, people will say, that judge was a real “Juan The Con Merchan.” And when a house is offered for sale at market price, but someone puts in a low-ball bid of only 20% of the value, people will say “that bidder really tried to Engoron me.”

      “SLOWLY ERASING THE FALSE NARRATIVE”

“Admitting error—or outright complicity with the Scam—during the Covid overreaction would entail losses of face and credibility. After all the harm the media has done, those consequences would be just and proper.

To avoid this result, the media and bureaucrats are backpedaling slowly to try to change their views without too many people noticing. In so doing, they’re very belatedly adopting the views of those, like me, who from Day 1, called out the hysteria driving, and the downsides to, the Covid overreaction.

But while they’ve incrementally changed parts of their message, they hold tightly to the central, false narrative that Covid was a terrible disease that indiscriminately killed millions. The Covophobes continue to falsely credit the Covid injections for “saving millions of lives” and “preventing untold misery.” ”
