What do you do when you can’t win elections legally — raid political opponents homes…

Anything but let Donald Trump run in 2024

A few perspectives on the FBI Raid of Mar-a-Lago that we didn’t hear on the ABC news tonight.

The word of the day is “Banana Republic”

There are two legal systems in the US now. If you’re on the same team as the Regime, the FBI will happily go slow on your laptop investigation, even if it implicates past Vice Presidents, and potential Presidential candidates and in an election year and on matters of national security. Likewise, using private servers while being Secretary of State and getting a subpoena and bleaching 33,000 emails. That’s OK too.

Mark Steyn: Criminalizing Opposition in a Pseudo-Republic

“we’ve now moved into hardcore banana-republic territory: the regime’s cops are busting into the home of the opposition leader. “

Steyn speaking three days after the “election”:

It’s my view that after the Biden regime takes power, as in many coup situations, they will want to have the previous leader arrested. I’m being perfectly serious here. It is the intention of the Democrat Party to put Trump in jail. So, when he launches the ‘Trump News Network’, it’s gonna need to be based out of Costa Rica or the Turks and Caicos or somewhere.

Just after the unarmed “insurrection” Mark Steyn predicted they have to erase him:

…it’s not enough for him not to be president, they don’t want him to be a former president either. They don’t want the Grover Cleveland scenario, where he comes back in four years. So it’s important to them, as I said this morning, that he be the most ex ex-president ever, more ex- than Nixon. Nixon they still invited when they had these photo ops in the Oval Office, where all the presidents get together and stand around the desk with the incumbent. They’re not gonna be inviting Trump to that. They want Trump to be an ex-president, they want to put him in jail…

This may backfire badly if it galvanizes Americans against corruption and injustice:

Is this the moment when they wake the sleeping bear? One former Secret Service FBI agent Dan Bongino is on fire: “the FBI has shredded any credibility it had”. “This is a freaking disgrace”. “The country you thought you lived in yesterday, you no longer live in…  “

On Politico:

“If they raided his home just to find classified documents he took from The White House,” one legal expert noted, “he will be re-elected president in 2024, hands down. It will prove to be the greatest law enforcement mistake in history.

Assuming that voting still matters, and Trump and his supporters are not in jail, this will turn Trump into an icon.

Random person on Twitter:

Twitter,

But was this more about provoking Trump supporters rather than just erasing Trump? If Trump supporters “take the bait” and do five percent of what the George Floyd fans did, that will be a handy excuse for the FBI to hike up the “War on Domestic Terrorism”. Beware, the brazen injustice of it may be the point.

Trump’s team released this on Truth Social today:

It’s a fight for the heart of America.

It’s unprecedented:

Armstrong Economics

Never in the entire history of the United States has a former president been indicted for any criminal conduct. This has not been because there was never such an incident. Most importantly, the historic precedent is that post-term indictment is NOT legally allowed.

Up until now, both political parties, as well as the public, see the prospect of post-term immunity as a guarantee that the country’s politics will remain civil and that power will transition peacefully from one party to the other. All of that is now crumbling before our eyes. That very percedent is what drove President Gerald Ford to pardon Richard Nixon. It was also the reason why the Office of the Independent Counsel decided not to indict former President Bill Clinton for perjury.

It’s serious:

The FBI And DOJ Criminalizing Opposition To The Regime Is How The Republic Ends

Joy Pullman, The Federalist

Locking Up Opposition Politicians Is What Putin Does

An indictment of former President Donald Trump would be a breathtakingly authoritarian turn. It would amount to the U.S. security state refusing to accept “no” from America’s voters yet again. An indictment would be an unelected and unaccountable federal agency overruling voters’ two-time rejection of impeachment through their elected representatives.

This is the core danger of the administrative state: Its now open propensity to go rogue. It is apparently hellbent now on turning the United States into a banana republic.

A two-tier justice system is not a justice system. It is a totalitarian system.

Certainly even more ordinary Americans are realizing through all of this that the entire federal deck is prejudiced against them. Desperation makes people do wild things.  … Equality Under the Law Is the Nonviolent Way Out

Remember, 75 million people voted for Trump in 2020. This isn’t some fringe Davidian cult, it’s half of the nation’s voters. — read it all

The FBI and DOJ are already known political players:

This is a provocation. They are trying to get a reaction that allows a further crackdown.

William A Jacobson, Legal Insurrection

It’s also a provocation to get Trump to declare his candidacy for President before the midterms. Democrats would love to turn 2022 into a referendum on Trump rather than the deliberate destruction of the national borders and inflation.

Would the FBI and DOJ do such a thing? Aren’t they “above” politics? The then FBI Director James Comey admitted to trying to set up the new President Trump by alerting him to the Steele Dossier, and then leaked the story of the briefing to CNN, which gave license to report on the false allegations in the dossier. So yes, the FBI and DOJ would do such a thing, and have done such a thing to Trump.

It appears to be out of all proportions: Is this really just about “archive material”?

Alan Dershowitz Raises Legal Questions

Reports are suggesting that this raid may be in relation to classified documents that they think should be with the National Archives. But if that’s the case, it’s an insane overreaction rather than just pursuing the documents in a normal manner. The family said they had been cooperating in reviewing documents that the National Archives might want. But to send in agents and just grab documents right and left, even breaking into the safe in the home is just wild and it sounds like a fishing expedition. Is it to try to find other things, with that as an excuse?

Constitutional scholar Alan Dershowitz is calling it “misconduct.” According to him, in an appearance on Newsmax, such a raid should be the method of last resort, unless they can’t get the documents through subpoenas or any other lawful methods.

Can Trump be ruled out of running for President in 2024?

On Politico:

There was a burst of excitement on Democratic legal Twitter after MARC ELIAS pointed out that one of the penalties for violating the statute on improper handling of government records is being “disqualified from holding any office under the United States.”

But as NYT’s Charlie Savage expertly explains, that issue was well-ventilated back when conservatives wanted to throw HILLARY CLINTON in jail for allegedly violating the same law, and many scholars concluded that, as applied to a presidential candidate, it’s unconstitutional because the Constitution alone sets the eligibility criteria for the presidency. (Former A.G. MICHAEL MUKASEY was a fan of this theory, but Savage notes that he later recanted.)

Or was it a fishing trip to find a better reason?

Bonchie says “Don’t take the bait”

There is nothing the Biden administration and the left at large want more than another January 6th moment before the mid-terms. They long for it, and they are willing to do anything to try to manipulate a reaction out of the right to feed into their narrative. Why? Because they believe it can save them from certain destruction in November.

Further, the FBI specifically wants justification to fight its war on “domestic terrorism.”

To add another new flavour of potential corruption to this cake: Apparently the Judge that signed the warrant is likely to be Judge Bruce Reinhart, who was also a donor to Barack Obama, once worked at the US Attorneys Office and left to become an attorney who represented employees of Jeffrey Epstein. By apparently flipping sides in the Epstein legal battle he was then accused of leveraging “inside information about Epstein’s investigation to curry favor with Epstein.”

It’s like a movie script.

    From Martin Armstrong –

“We now stand on the precipice of the Decline & Fall of the United States. It will soon be time to turn off the lights. Neither political party has EVER violated the post-term immunity of former presidents that has distinguished America from every corrupt two-bit government pretending to be democratic while imprisoning their political opponents. It has been that guarantee that the has created the union of 50 states and secured the country’s politics would remain civil whereby the power was always a peaceful transition from one party to the other.”

This attack on Trump is an attack on the people.
It is an attack on their freedom and democracy.
It won’t work and the people will rise up . .

“It won’t work and the people will rise up . . ”

Which is exactly what ‘they’ want. This outrageous provocation can’t be explained any other way. They want another Jan 26th which they can then use to justify ramping up oppression of their opponents. Even if any protest is minor, if they add some covert provacateurs, ensure that some fringe nutjobs are involved and the media are onside to selectively cover the ‘violence’, then they have all they need. As with the so-called Capitol Insurrection, the reaction will be totally over the top and require a raft of new ‘counter terrorism’ measures during which Trump and his supporters can be rounded up – again. But next time they will go in much harder to stamp out, not only Trump, but any other grassroots conservative opposition.

Hope you are wrong. I meant ‘rise up’ as a figure of speech. Not necessarily rampaging in the streets . .

It doesn’t have to be an actual riot, or “rampage”. A simple protest will suffice. They can easily perform a bit of theatre to make it all look like a real insurrection by sending in armed ‘police’ with shields etc. Knock over a few protesters who will try to defend themselves and that’s all they need to ramp it up and, before you know it and with a few added actors to give the attending media some tasty footage that can be cleverly edited and bingo …

It’s been done before in order to justify political clampdowns and arrests of opponents, just never in America before now.

    And from Martin Armstrong –

“It does not matter if people hate Trump and will rejoice to see him in prison just because. The respect not to weaponize the rule of law for political purposes has been the very precedent that caused President Gerald Ford to pardon Richard Nixon and for the Office of the Independent Counsel not to indict former President Bill Clinton for perjury. Attacking a former president has always been off the table because that will divide the country. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart approved the warrant that enabled FBI agents to raid Trump’s home. He has earned his slot in history and will be remembered.

This is a tactic that leads only to tyranny. Adolf Hitler seized power in the same manner. While the Democrats are staging the January 6th hearings as an “insurrection” to justify emergency powers to govern by decree, Hitler did the same following the incredibly well-timed February 27th, 1933 arson against the Reichstag, Germany’s parliament building. He then began the shutdown of dissent and diversity in German publishing and culture through a policy of Gleichschaltung, or forcing everybody onto the same page. Today, we see the cancel culture doing the very same process of silencing dissent.”

The documents you speak of were packed by government employees, sent to his home by government employees, FBI had access to them whenever they wished (as late at 2 months ago). Why can’t you tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth? Why do you feel the need to embellish, sensationalize, and mislead? Simon never does his homework that’s why he is always half cocked!

NBC News initially in February that the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) found items “marked as classified national security information” within boxes sent to Mar-a-Lago.

Kash Patel, former top Trump administration official, told Breitbart News in an interview in May that the story was “just another disinformation campaign designed to break the public trust in a president that lived on transparency. It’s yet another way to attack Trump and say he took classified information when he did not.”

He told Breitbart News, “The White House counsel failed to generate the paperwork to change the classification markings, but that doesn’t mean the information wasn’t declassified.”

“I was there with President Trump when he said ‘We are declassifying this information,’” he added.

Patel said Trump had declassified whole sets of materials in anticipation of leaving government that he thought the American public should have the right to read themselves”

      Simon,
The political motivated ‘raid’ on Trump’s private home is an obvious/failed attempt to distract the public from the failure and corruption of the Democratic party of America. The ‘raid’ will be one of the reasons why Trump will win the US 2024 election. The US constitution and Supreme court limits the power of government and protects the rights of citizens/past Presidents, from political attacks and political madness. The Chinese people have no protection from their government.

The Raid: Difference Between Trump and Clinton

What kind of evidence was the FBI looking for yesterday? Classified material.

So, now, conservatives and Trump supporters are enraged, while liberals and leftists on social media – specifically Twitter – are saying that we are hypocrites, since, after all, we have been shouting “lock her up” ever since it was acknowledged by this very same FBI that Hillary Clinton commissioned an unsecured server to be built in her Chappaqua, NY home and allowed classified material to be routed through it so that anyone, anywhere could have access to it.

      Same crime, right? Probably not.

Consider these things. Assuming that Trump did have allegedly classified material in his possession, when did he acquire it? It had to be sometime before Inauguration Day 2021, meaning when he was still the POTUS.

And guess what! Any sitting POTUS has the intrinsic authority to declassify any classified material.

      That’s right.

Therefore, I’m guessing that Trump declassified any previously classified material that may have been in his possession in 2022.

Authority. And Power. That’s what separates these cases. He had [sic] it and she didn’t.

But I’m just speculating – which, in itself, has damn near become a crime.

The law says anyone who “willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies or destroys” government documents is guilty of a crime carrying a penalty of up to three years in prison. In addition, anyone who violates the law “shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States.”

But the law can’t override the U.S. Constitution, which provides the qualifications for president, according to experts cited by the New York Times and a post at the Election Law Blog by Rick Hasen, a professor at the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law.

Jason Willick, a columnist for the Washington Post, summed up the argument in a tweet.

“Nope, can’t impose qualifications on holding the presidency by statute—the qualifications are set out in the Constitution. The search for ‘one weird trick’ to banish Trump from politics will have to continue

That is not the full story Simon. The Trump appointed judge who issued the permission to raid was acting on overwhelming evidence and the fact that Trump was not cooperating. In all these what-about arguments (Biden, Clinton etc), no raids occurred because they cooperated with the investigations. The things that were requested were handed over.

Also, whatabout the FBI and certain emails in the lead up to a particular election?

Good morning Gee Aye; You wrote something that is continually stated by the left; “The Trump appointed judge…” Your own words indict you and those of like mindedness. Your words imply a judge appointed by a President owes his/her allegiance to that President. And by your own words that is what you believe and expect. But judges are sworn officers of the law and owe their loyalty to the US Constitution and the existing laws of their jurisdictions, not to the person that appointed them or got them elected. But judges, etc., appointed by democrats are expected to rule in support of democrat causes and against causes contrary to democrat goals, were as there is no such expectation on the part of Republican appointed judges. This judge signing the warrant was in full support of democrat goals and his expectation is that he will be rewarded by democrats for his loyalty to the party. Loyalty to the party…does that sound familiar? Good day to you.

Correct. The judge should not be partisan. This is the line being taken that is worrying. The people who are decrying this raid are saying that the judiciary is partisan. This is a very dangerous point of view to be taking.

The President is the ultimate classification authority, which means that if Trump has any classified docs, he by definition declassified them beforehand. Cash Patel verifies this. In the world of classified material manufactured during his term in office and in his possession from that time, Trump IS the law.

As an example, LBJ declassified the SR-71 by running his mouth in an July 1964 speech in response to criticism by Barry Goldwater during the presidential campaign that year. Cheers –

According to the NY Times, these documents went missing after the election defeat. Government and Trump lawyers have been haggling for months over their return. A search warrant was issued and approved. There is legal precedent. Nixon trued to do the same thing but was overruled by the Supreme Court. The law was then changed to ensure classified documents remain the property of the US Government.

Simon >”The law was then changed to ensure classified documents remain the property of the US Government”

Wrong. Ownership is “public” not Govt:

Presidential Records Act (PRA) of 1978

The Presidential Records Act (PRA) of 1978, 44 U.S.C. ß2201-2209, governs the official records of Presidents and Vice Presidents that were created or received after January 20, 1981 (i.e., beginning with the Reagan Administration). The PRA changed the legal ownership of the official records of the President from private to public, and established a new statutory structure under which Presidents, and subsequently NARA, must manage the records of their Administrations. The PRA was amended in 2014, which established several new provisions.

        Specifically, the PRA:

Establishes public ownership of all Presidential records and defines the term Presidential records.

        [Snip]

Establishes that Presidential records automatically transfer into the legal custody of the Archivist as soon as the President leaves office.

Those of us with some experience with “sensitive” documents, (“Commercial in Confidence”, for example) are actually aware that the term “classified” simply means that someone, somewhere, has had the authority, to assign a “classification”to a document.

This can range from “Unrestricted” (an actual “Classification”), to extreme levels .

Governments allocate “security clearances” in an arcane but logical manner, as do military organizations. NOBODY gets a formal indication of their “security clearance”, be it “government”, military or commercial. You may be “cleared to “Secret”, but may NEVER see anything higher than “Restricted”.

This whole caper reeks of theatricality, with the script being written by cheap hacks, who, if it all falls over, can be burned with impunity. If someone you don’t know shoves a file marked “Top Secret” into your hands it WILL be a stitch-up. Especially if you are NOT a member of the “originator’s” organization.

If you do work in an organization which routinely holds “interesting information”, and IF your immediate supervisor hands you a “Secret” document, it may be a test, or it just may be that you have at least a “clearance to “Secret”; maybe more, but certainly no less.

If you blab about ANY of this to ANYONE, you may suddenly find yourself in a small room with strangers, or you may never see anything more “serious” than “unrestricted”, ever again and your “career progression” will suddenly go very slowly. Note that this most certainly also applies to commercial operations as well as the more obvious ones.

ALL of this happens on a “need to know” basis. Put simply; if you don’t need to know, you will probably be blissfully unaware of said documents, which can range from an office “memo” to a key doctrinal manual.

Anyone who has ever worked in a large company handling estimating or actual contract material, will be all to aware of what can be at stake if financially sensitive information “escapes” to a competitor. The common term is; “Commercial in Confidence” and the same rules apply, ESPECIALLY if you signed a coverall “Non-disclosure Agreement”” at the commencement of employment. NDA’s are everywhere, even in “sports”, as has come to notice, recently.

“That’s classified” is basically a stock Hollywoodism, beloved of cheap churnalists and polli-muppets. It is HOW things are “classified” that matters, so, yes, this Mar a Lago caper IS a political / deep state operation, cheered on by the usual partisan churnalists.

One thing which amazes me about the US system is that people retain their clearance level after leaving the role for which that clearance was granted. It should be immediately downgraded or revoked on taking a role which doesn’t require that level.

Security clearances are supposed to be like the Fight Club’s Rule 1.

Simon >”Trump was holding classified documents at his estate. He is not allowed to do that. Noone is above the law.”

      Not allowed by what law?

A Brief History of Presidential Libraries
      https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/88504/brief-history-presidential-libraries

The Watergate scandal had a major impact on the contents of presidential libraries. Incensed by Nixon’s role in a break-in at the DNC headquarters, Congress passed the Presidential Records Act (PRA) in 1978, which decreed that the paperwork of an outgoing commander-in-chief elected after 1980 must be made public through Freedom of Information Act requests five years after he or she leaves office. However, the PRA does allow a president to withhold certain sensitive documents from the public eye for “up to 12 years.”

The National Archives were all over the documents back in February. No breach of the Act identified (see next).

The records are primarily the purview of National Archives (not the FBI):

Trump was already cooperating with National Archives, so why the dramatic, unprecedented raid?
        https://www.jihadwatch.org/2022/08/trump-was-already-cooperating-with-national-archives-so-why-the-dramatic-unprecedented-raid

It is peculiar that Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence was dramatically raided at this particular time, in a stunningly unprecedented act by the FBI, when National Archives had already inventoried the contents of Trump’s boxes back in February. The National Archives was quoted as stating in February that it was “in the process of inventorying the contents of the boxes,” and also insisted that the process was “part of a MUTUAL ongoing effort to retrieve presidential documents, not a raid.”

If Nation Archives had identified a breach of the Presidential Records Act back in February we would have known about it.

The Democrats are terrified of losing power in three months, having controlled both houses and the President.

It’s fits with Nancy Pelosi’s unexplained and very dangerous and sudden trip to Taiwan. It’s all provocation, desperation. The January 6 circus is just not working. And the Never Trumpers are falling like nine pins while Liz Cheney is out of a job despite asking Democrats to change sides and vote for her in the Primary.

They want to upset the whole game because they cannot win in November. And their fear of Donald Trump is visceral, not just politically but because there are so many skeletons in so many closets. Clintons, Obama, Epstein, BLM, AntiFA, Hunter Biden, Ukraine, China and behind it all, the Democrat’s own FBI which is now down to terrorizing parents on school councils.

And behind it all, a geriatric sock puppet in Biden and his family who makes Hillary Clinton seem honest in comparison. And over 98% of Washington voted for Hillary, which tells you why the swamp is still in total control. It’s a Federal police state where the former head of the FBI wore a wire to the White House to trap a President and they lied repeatedly to the FISA court to wire tap Trump, then just a private citizen. The Constitution clearly means nothing when you know nothing will happen. Unless Trump gets back in. The FBI have nothing to lose given over 40 people went to jail over Watergate and this is far bigger.

Trump is their nemesis. He must be taken down before November.

The idea that Jan 6th was a serious attempt at an insurrection is utterly laughable but the Democrats have invested everything in that in order to block Trump.
I don’t like Trump’s personality and his verbal delivery is wayward (though I could discern what he really meant and many others also did) but he was right on all the main issues of principle.
Trump was in favour of energy independence, in favour of Europeans pulling their weight in NATO to hold Russia back (yet they stupidly tried to claim he colluded with Russia) and eager to control unlawful immigration. He supported economic revival in poor black communities and tried to reduce regulatory pressures on them. He wanted to help honest black folk fight back against crime in their communities and supported economic recovery wherever there was deprivation.
He might be a ‘bas**rd’ in some ways but he was our ‘bas**rd’ and on our side.
Foreign enemies were afraid of his bluster and unpredictability but Biden is a mere cypher that they felt they could rollover so we now have crises over Ukraine and Taiwan.
Now we have the prospect of Democrats having so little talent in their party that they are talking about Meghan Markle as a potential candidate.
    Words fail me.

It is interesting and significant that in the UK, US and Australia, the working class are changing sides. As are the elites. And even the big ethnic groups like Hispanics and blacks in the US. It was spectacular in Boris Johnson’s success where the Red walls fell while so many Tories elites were remainers. In Australia the elites vote Teal and the workers are fighting the CFMEU while Labor Leader Albanese is acting like a middle of the roader while being a lifelong Trot.

But when inflation in the US is 9.1%, the FBI investigate parents who do not want their children taught racism and being groomed or in Australia where the worked were locked out by a Labor premier because they dared to protest lockdown, everything is changing. And in Europe, the massive protests by farmers in the Nederlands and Germany are a reaction to more elitist control over their lives.

The new NAZIs are the establishment and elites, the World Economic Forum. But the damage to teh supply of essentials including food, the rapid devaluation of earning power with inflation and the skyrocketing electricity prices which are punishing the poor and shutting down manufacturing presage a revolution against elitist groups and dictatorial governments.

And what could be more like a dictatorship then 60 federal police dressed in black waving machine guns raiding the private house of an ex President? And what could be more likely to generate overwhelming popular support for Donald Trump than such an obvious intimidation and physical threat?

In what other country would this happen today?

Donald is a populist, the elites on both sides of the political spectrum fear him.

Populism usually combines elements of the left and the right, opposing large business and financial interests but also frequently being hostile to established liberal, socialist, and labour parties.’ (Brittanica)

The desire to label people is a post modern idea, the group is more imporant than the invidual. So the logic is that now labeled as a ‘populist’, that defines someone. This posits that the group controls the person and that people cannot think for themselves.

Personally I believe the opposite that people are all individuals and pidgeonholing them is offensive, convenient, wrong, extremely predjudicial and manipulative.

As for Britannica, that is the definition of the pidgeon hole, not the person.

Donald Trump is a person, not a political construct and I admire that a man who has everything most people would ever want still has the courage, the perseverance and the morality to demand the welfare of his country and its citizens is the most important principle in his life is a person to be admired. He is not on one side or the other. He is on his own side. And that of the 350 million people who call themselves American.

November elections are looking horrendous for the Dems. When Trump was POTUS, no one side had full control of Congress and the Senate. November, at this stage, will have the Republicans firmly in control of both houses such that they’ll override any presidential veto as well. With Trump influence in the Republicans still strong, it is looking to be a bloodbath for the Democrats in 2023 and 2024 in multiple ways…And it’s getting worse, not better. Most of the state governors are Republican as well and there’s a r conservative tilt on the Supreme Court. As i understand it, a few more Republican governors and the Constitution can be amended. The Dems are getting absolutely desperate.

    IF.

If there was ever any doubt about what’s going on in America, this, finally has cleared it.

If there is a small swamp you can possibly walk around it, but when that swamp engulfs every part of the nation’s capitol and brings States and Cities into democratic chaos with the whole public service compromised; then it’s time.

The only question is; Time for what.

An important consideration is that Australia has been rorted by the Climate Change Control Mechanism, shut down through the Concentrated Covid Catastrophism and incessantly VaXXinated into an unbelievable state of collapse and disarray.

Australia is de-industrialised, de-educated, demoralised and living on borrowed time and money: this can’t continue.

In both Australia and the USA, politicians believe that they are in a “self service” position and ignore the laws and constitutional guidance which should drain the swamp.

    We must fix that Misconception!

A further excerpt from the ‘Legal Insurrection’ article Jo has linked to:

My overall sense of what happened at Mar-a-Lago is that this is a provocation.
If New York Times reporting is right — and they never err on the side of being soft on Trump — then this raid was over documents the National Archives thinks Trump should not have, or perhaps classified documents in his possession. That is not something the FBI raids major political candidates over — See, In Re Hillary Rodham Clinton.
This is a provocation. They are trying to get a reaction that allows a further crackdown. See, In Re J6.
It’s also a provocation to get Trump to declare his candidacy for President before the midterms. Democrats would love to turn 2022 into a referendum on Trump rather than the deliberate destruction of the national borders and inflation.

The consensus amongst conservative commentators is leaning towards this being a provocation. Let’s hope that conservatives have the sense NOT to take the bait.

Mark Dice covers the ‘classified documents’ aspect of it.

I’m guessing DJT might have some type of records that are damning to those in present office. Think: Maybe going to jail kind of documents.

This is a fishing expedition /damage control operation designed to prevent said documents from becoming public information.

Whatever DJT has or had, have many copies, and those distributed for “insurance”. Give that a think.

The President is the final authority on Classification of any document. It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks or says. If the President declassifies it, or believes it to be declassified, then by definition it is not Classified. Period. The End. The Authority is Absolute.

Democrats are terrified of what might be on record, might become public, and who might be elected, and when their power will end.

Republicans guilty of malfeasance are equally terrified. DJT isn’t “beholding” to any of them. He’s the wild card that can jail them.

This isn’t over, and it won’t be for a good while.

    Jan 6th was nothing.

It was a walk-in, not an invasion. Security guards even removed barriers and opened doors to allow the peaceful protestors in. This is documented on video.

It was not a riot and did not involve arson, mayhem and murder like BLM and other Leftist riots. (Except one protestor was murdered by a security guard.)

There are still uncharged political prisoners in jail from Jan 6th in violation of numerous US laws and Constitutional rights.

Jan 6th protestors were also infiltrated by a number of Leftist agent provocateurs that broke a window etc..

More than 500 pages of internal documents from DC Metropolitan Police concerning the fatal shooting of Ashli Babbitt in the Capitol on Jan. 6 reveal witness accounts stating she was not holding a weapon at the time of her death and how “upset” the officer was after shooting her.

“These previously secret records show there was no good reason to shoot and kill Ashli Babbitt,” stated Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, which obtained the documents through a May 2021 FOIA lawsuit.

I think the FBI are a disgrace and they are firmly in the Demorats camp, but I also think Trump should not run in 2024.
The dream Republican candidate is Ron DeSantis and he has the guts to take on the loony WOKE PC extremists and WIN.
Trump is now too old and he also has too much political baggage to further burden his journey.
DeSantis is very sharp and understands what the majority of the voters want on every issue and he enjoys taking on the lefty loonies of the Demorats.
And his appeal is much broader than Trump today and the Hispanics, Blacks and other non whites seem to be falling into his camp.

As for political baggage, Trump doesn’t have any of his own doing. He has had numerous plots against him but the DemocRATs have been after him for over half a decade and found nothing. He is squeaky clean, (as would be befitting of a germophobe, which he also is).

OTH DeSantis is a conviction pollie and actually believes and THINKS about his conservative values and will vigorously fight to defend them and of course he’ll harvest a lot of minority votes along the way.
A Trump GOP pick is a guaranteed waste of time and many more TRILLIONs of $ to be wasted by the next Demorat President after 2024.
And I doubt the 2024 Demorat Presidential candidate will be Biden and certainly not the Harris loony.
And if he/ she is also a relative clean skin and they tone down their delusional L W social policy lunacies, then Trump will not stand a chance.

The Jan 6 hearings expedited by and for the Democratic Party is a kangaroo court for all to see .
However the average person in USA or the world has only been shown one side of the story , the media is as much embedded with or delusional about socialist anti Trump capitalist ideals that they do not see or they hide the other side of the story .
There is irrefutable evidence of corruption or illegalities committed by Hunter Biden on behalf of his father the big guy also the Clintons and their fundraising amongst other irregularities yet the media look the other way and it seems so do the FBI .
Somebody or ( country ) must be spending a lot of money to buy all this influence .
Trump wanted to clean out the swamp , unfortunately he didn’t succeed fully and the turds that are still floating around are doing everything possible to stop him coming back to finish the job and put them out of business .

Maybe the plan is to create enough civil unrest for Biden (or whoever tells him his lines to read) to declare a state of emergency and cancel the midterms and possibly all future elections. The US is presently a uniparty cabal-run pseudo-republic anyway from all appearances. Elections are just theatre.

Must be a Lot of Cross Dressers in the American FBI

FBI searched Melania’s wardrobe, spent hours in Trump’s private office during Mar-a-Lago raid

    By Miranda Devine

FBI agents scoured Melania Trump’s wardrobe and spent several hours combing through Donald Trump’s private office, breaking open his safe and rifling through drawers when they raided the former First Family’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida Monday morning.

The Post has learned that the search warrant used by the FBI to enter the palatial Palm Beach property focused solely on presidential records and evidence of classified information being stored there.

A source close to the former president expressed concern that FBI agents or DOJ lawyers conducting the search could have “planted stuff” because they would not allow Trump’s attorneys inside the 128-room building to observe the operation, which lasted more than nine hours.

The raid by over 30 plain clothes agents from the Southern District of Florida and the FBI’s Washington Field Office extended through the Trump family’s entire 3,000-square-foot private quarters, as well as to a separate office and safe, and a locked basement storage room in which 15 cardboard boxes of material from the White House were stored.

    Feds arrived at 9 a.m. and didn’t leave until 6:30 p.m.

An eyewitness to the raid said all of the boxes were confiscated by federal agents Monday, but it is unknown if anything else was taken as no itemized list of items was provided by the FBI.

The boxes contain documents and mementos from Trump’s presidency, reportedly including letters from Barack Obama and Kim Jong Un, and other correspondence with world leaders.

A legal source said that the boxes had been packed up by the General Services Administration and shipped to Mar-a-Lago when Trump left office in January 2020.

Trump’s attorneys, led by Evan Corcoran, had been cooperating fully with federal authorities on the return of the documents to the National Archives and Records Administration, according to sources.

The demeanor of the three DOJ lawyers who accompanied the FBI was described by one eyewitness as “arrogant,” and they repeatedly told Trump representatives: “We have full access to everything. We can go everywhere.”

    From the Comments

    – Apparently – the FBI raided Melania’s wardrobe as Biden had asked them to snatch a few undergarments for Hunter to play with. To be continued,

You would have to think there are FBI agents hoping Trump will never be President again. I wonder if he got the names of those involved in the search.

Some FBI agents may be doing more than “hoping”. They will be actively plotting to ensure he never gets the opportunity. The outcome may be something even worse than Putin does to his political adversaries.

Legal betting agencies are not permitted to give odds on assignation. But you can get odds on Trump being indicted. I can see that happening for no particular reason other than damaging his reputation.

USA could end up so bad that current Democrats beg for Trump to return.

    – No longer a swamp. It’s quicksand. Look at all the dubious connections between Judges, FBI administrators, Foreign entities, elected officials, etc.. We do indeed have a very corrupt government that is slowly eroding the foundations of America and they are on the brink of winning. Trump is a man they have feared since he ran for President and continue to fear thus seeking to completely destroy him. The American people better wake up and take control of their government and rid it of the criminals currently in the majority.

    – Trump has been saying it best: “They are not coming after me, they are going after you. I’m just standing in the way.” Trump was right AGAIN!

Rep. Scott Perry says FBI seized his cell phone — one day after Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home raided

Staunch Donald Trump ally Rep. Scott Perry said FBI agents stopped him and seized his cell phone one day after the federal agency raided the former president’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

Perry, a Republican from Pennsylvania, told Fox News that while traveling with his family on Tuesday, three FBI agents approached him, issued him a warrant and demanded he hand over his phone.

“They made no attempt to contact my lawyer, who would have made arrangements for them to have my phone if that was their wish,” he said in a statement to the news outlet.

“I’m outraged — though not surprised — that the FBI under the direction of Merrick Garland’s DOJ, would seize the phone of a sitting Member of Congress.

“My phone contains info about my legislative and political activities, and personal/private discussions with my wife, family, constituents, and friends. None of this is the government’s business.”

The five-term congressman added, “as with President Trump last night, DOJ chose this unnecessary and aggressive action instead of simply contacting my attorneys.”

GOP HOUSE MEMBER WHO VOTED TO IMPEACH TRUMP CONCEDES:

“Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, one of two Republican members of Washington’s congressional delegation who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump, has conceded her reelection bid after being overtaken in late vote tallies by an intraparty challenger. Trump had targeted the six-term incumbent and endorsed Joe Kent, a former Green Beret, in the 3rd Congressional District contest. (1) More bad-faith actors in the FBI, have been identified: agents Auten and Thibault.
Both actively buried the “Hunter’s Laptop” investigation.

    (2) Fourteen FBI whistleblowers have come forward (YES 14!)…that’s according to someone in the know (Chaffetz? Jordan?) — anyway it was reported on Fox News.

If a tide of whistleblowers come forward, that could be damning for the FBI.

A cabal in the Democratic party had a plan.
It might be that things are proceeding according to plan, and they are hoping to indict Trump, or get an an over-reaction they
can violently supress, or some other nefarious undertaking. Or it might have been half-baked fever dream of an idea a few dozen
TDS deranged DOJ folks thought up whose clockwork designs didn’t survive first contact with the enemy. At this point it reminds me
of a dead heat on a merry-go-round….supposedly the democrats don’t want Trump to be candidate…..yet if they make him a martyr his
supporters will not abandon a conservative like DeSantis. If Trump survives and runs he is phoenix rising from the ashes and need
only hold up a mirror to his opposition; the left has guaranteed turn-out on the right. While they have made an art form of whipping their
acolytes into massive street riots when upset, the right has no such shock troops, massed WhSupps being a figment of CNN’s imagination.
The follow travelers who take advantage to loot and create mayhem also seem to be mostly denizens of purely blue population concentrations.
Jan 6 was a one-off, and likely, in truth, required agents provocoteur to reach critical mass.

I vote for a dumb plan, a fumbled followup, and half of the Democrats totally mortified that they have to publicly support this crap knowing that chickens like this always come home to roost.

The possibility of a hostile takeover of the United States by people who don’t accept or follow the laws or Constitution is exactly why the Founding Fathers provided for the Second Amendment.

It is the ultimate “reset” button for the Constitution and nation as a whole and is a self-protection mechanism for the Constitution.

According to the US Constitution it is “The people” who have the ultimate power in the United States, not the Government or it’s agents. It is Government for, by and of the people. If those in power don’t respect that, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish the violating government.

And Berger got a $50K fine for stealing classified intel?

To understand how deep the corruption is at the Department of Justice, and not just at the top, all one needs to do is compare the treatment of former Clinton National Security Advisor Sandy Berger and former President Donald Trump.

Whatever concoction the DOJ serves up to frame Trump, it will not match what Berger actually confessed to doing.

In April 2002, former President Bill Clinton designated Berger as his representative to review intelligence documents in advance of the various hearings on 9/11. As a 2007 report by the House Committee on Government Oversight and Reform made clear, Berger did not exactly welcome this assignment. The archivists told the House committee, in fact, that Berger “indicated some disgust with the burden and responsibility of conducting the document review.”

To fulfill his obligation to the Clintons, however, Berger was prepared to sacrifice his reputation and very nearly his freedom. According to the House report, Berger made four trips to the National Archives. He did so presumably to refresh his memory before testifying first to the Graham-Goss congressional committee and then to the 9/11 Commission. He made his first visit in May 2002, his last in October 2003.

During at least three of those visits, he stole and destroyed an incalculable number of documents. “The full extent of Berger’s document removal,” said the House report, “is not known and never can be known.”

It’s now an information war. Forget about all the other stuff. If the Democrats have the social and heritage medias tied up, they control the narrative. The Trump side of politics ( which is not even all the GOP) can use other outlets like Rumble, Substack, Alternate Podcasts, Alternate Blogs, Telegraph etc, but they are only fringe occupants of the space. If Google/ Alphabet, Microsoft, Twitter, Facebook and most of the US media want to portray Trump as being unsuitable, then it’s going to be a struggle for him and probably every other contender. Maybe the midterms might help a bit, but I wouldn’t be depending on the GOP to be backing Trump either. Too many RINOs.

Schweizer: Paul Pelosi, Jr. Consulting ‘Very Reminiscent’ of Hunter Biden

Breitbart News senior contributor and Government Accountability Institute president Peter Schweizer said Monday night on FNC’s “Jesse Watters Primetime” that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) son Paul Pelosi, Jr. is consulting in a way that is “very reminiscent” of Hunter Biden’s business dealings.

Schweizer said, “This is a particularly cynical and galling move by the Pelosis. First of all, as you pointed out, Paul Pelosi Sr., Nancy’s husband, has been under scrutiny for insider trading issues the stock trades. He has to, of course, disclose his finances because he is the spouse of Nancy Pelosi. Your adult children do not need to disclose their financial transactions. So, it seems like they switched attention to their son’s commercial activities.”

He added, “To put even a tighter note on this, Jesse, look at what is happening here. Nancy Pelosi is flying to the Asian Pacific region as the entire region is nervous and scared about the looming threat posed by China.

You have got the Speaker of the House coming in with a couple of other Democrats. They certainly want to have her good favor, and all of a sudden, her son is along for the trip. He is not a foreign policy adviser. He has no background, looking for business deals. This is what you call leverage. This is the sort of stuff you would expect from the M@fia, where you kind of create a demand for your own services. The kind of services that Paul Pelosi Jr. is offering are very reminiscent of Hunter Biden’s, by the way. They are vague. They are consulting are offering advisory services. They don’t actually have some product they are trying to sell.

It’s particularly a galling and cynical move. I applaud you for covering this because the rest of the mainstream media is totally ignoring this story.”

    Has warrant been published?

Trump Attorneys Spill the Beans on Issues With FBI Raid, Warrant

Trump attorney Alina Habba appeared on Fox News with Jesse Watters. She said that they had been cooperating with the National Archives over the records and that this was completely “unconstitutional.” She said the FBI went in when he wasn’t even there, and then told his attorneys to leave, that they couldn’t watch or be there. “That doesn’t sound good to me,” she declared.

Habba said the agents came in wearing backpacks, and she was concerned that they could have planted things since they were trying to get the attorneys out of there. Habba said she believed this was all part of the effort to try to take Trump down, and that people were “working in tandem” with other efforts.

Watters asked about the warrant, and Habba said the attorneys on the ground weren’t given the warrant during the raid — they were only allowed to look at it.

Now, here’s Trump attorney Christina Bobb on Real America’s Voice. She was the attorney who was on site. She explains that they initially wouldn’t even let her see the warrant, but then did; they were reluctant to let them have it. It’s not clear from what she says if they ultimately were able to obtain it at some point. She also explained that the probable cause for the warrant was sealed, so that they can’t even know what it was unless they go to court to find out.

She confirmed that it was due to the Presidential Records Act, which the host indicated has never been prosecuted–one of the many reasons this “rationale” to seize documents from Trump’s home is ridiculous. She said they also were looking for classified documents. “The irony of both…is it is the president [Trump] himself who gets to decide what is a presidential record. So, why they get to redefine that is unclear and why they get to search, why that’s even in a warrant, it doesn’t really make any sense,” she said. “The same thing with any potential classified information.”

What is ridiculous about all this is how opposed this is to how they treated Hillary Clinton, whose home was never raided, who was never gone after for getting rid of her emails or having classified documents on her private server.

Bobb explained to RSBN how this was completely unprecedented to pursue a former president this way — that Hillary Clinton even took furniture and other items from the White House when the Clintons left, and she just got an email to return things.

On top of what the attorneys said, as I noted in my Trump family reaction story, the FBI also wanted the Mar-a-Lago security cameras shut off while they were conducting their raid. Why? The only thing one can think is that they didn’t want the camera to catch something that they were doing.

What do you do when you can’t win elections legally — raid political opponents homes? – Next Step

Do Those 87,000 IRS Agents Look a Little Different This Morning? They Should.

Build Back Better Light contained one of the provisions that caused backlash the first time Democrats proposed it. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) received billions of dollars to conduct millions of new audits and hire at least 80,000 new agents. Even vulnerable Democrats have decided to ignore that nearly 60% of likely voters believe that federal agencies are too big and politicized. Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.), and others up for re-election voted to make the IRS bigger.

We should review the more than doubling of IRS staff in context. As of 2021, the IRS had 81,600 employees. Adding 87,000 new staff members will exceed the current number. The total will end up near 168,000 IRS employees. Their mission is to wring every available penny out of working Americans to pay for Washington D.C.’s addiction to spending money they don’t have.

    Some other numbers to consider:

The political nature of the IRS became apparent during the Obama administration. We all recall Lois Lerner and the agency’s admission of political bias. However, have you forgotten Dr. Ben Carson? Following his viral speech at the National Prayer Breakfast in 2013, Carson reported that his real estate holdings got audited. In the same year, two of Franklin Graham’s not-for-profits received audits. Both men had been operating for decades with no IRS issues.

Related: Why Does the IRS Need 5 Million Rounds of Ammo?

With multiple agencies weaponized, as we have seen clearly with the DOJ, FBI, and intelligence community, will the IRS pick up low-level enforcement? The FBI can’t arrest all of the regime’s opponents. It doesn’t need to. Enough tax liens, additional payments, and lengthy investigations will subdue most average Americans. The process is the punishment, and the IRS can bankrupt the average family faster than the DOJ bankrupted Gen. Michael Flynn.

According to Republicans on the House Oversight Committee, Democrats have vowed to revive their banking surveillance. You may recall that their initial Build Back Better proposal was to audit every banking transaction over $200. Supposedly that is why the IRS needed to double in size in the first place. And the IRS is doubling in size. Manchin and Sinema will obviously cave with the correct incentives. And you should not put anything past Democrats at this point.

Keep your receipts, and find a good accountant.

US politics is a false binary. Two ” rival ” outfits, let’s call them the Demlicans and the Republicrats, pretend to compete in things called elections. Meanwhile the uniparty has already decided the outcome. The best way to do it is to run an unelectable candidate on one side against the chosen winner. Thus old skool neocon John McCain ” ran ” against Oback Barama (was that his name? The Hussein guy.) in 2008 when America was sick to the gills of Bush’s wars. To no one’s surprise the younger man with his carefully crafted hope and change schtick romped in. In 2012 they used the same playbook, running Mitt Romney who had all the charisma of a mortician against the anointed saviour of the world, Nelson Obama Mandela. Oops, got him wrong again. Oh Bama, I meant. What a surprise, the incumbent stays in office.

Hillary Clinton patiently waited her ” turn “. But usually the uniparty does two terms of Demlican followed by two terms of the other mob to maintain a veneer of choice so that Washington can preach on the world stage about ” freedom and democracy ” whilst the CIA installs various dictators and soaks in Saudi oil dollars.

Why they let Trump run is one of the mysteries of the ages. But the Trumpeter, with his constant criticism of the US, is also saying what the globalists want to hear: that America is in grave decline. True or not? You decide. My rant is over!

There is another angle in this. The whole partisan January 6th Commission is an attempt to smear Trump. But to get value, they have to make Trump the focus of the mid terms in November and keep him in the public eye as an alleged villain, make the November half election solely about Trump, not rampant inflation, Afghanistan, China, gas prices, mass illegal migration and $300Billion in the Climate change trough while begging autocrats and communists for energy. Build back nothing and 81,000 new tax inspectors to audit everyone. That’s going to be popular, the elites auditing ordinary wage earners for more cash.

Meanwhile Trump is refusing to nominate for 2024 despite his electioneering style videos. And the Trump influence is heavily biasing the primaries, creating a huge raft of potentially new congressmen and women who have already stated allegiance. It means instead of being a rank outside against a sea of never Trumpers, it will be a united party under Trump. And top Republicans are not happy.

Former Congress head Paul Ryan and his never Trumpers frustrated the new President for the first two years until and then impeachment for the second, supported by many Republicans. Now Mitch McConnell stands nearly alone representing the pro China and anti Trump brigade and he absolutely refuses to criticize the DOJ for the raid on Trump, so he is part of it.

The unprecedented and utterly unjustified armed raid on his family home is a combination of massive intimidation of a private citizen and provocation. Not just of Trump but his whole family. If Trump nominates for the 2024 Presidency, he will do it after the mid terms. But the Democrats and their private police force want to make the mid terms all about Trump, who remains an ex President but also frustratingly a private citizen rather than Presidential candidate. So it’s back to chasing his tax returns.

And the Democrats have no idea what to do about Biden and Harris, the most unpopular duo in US history, a failed Presidency half completed. And as Trump points out with more Wuhan Flu deaths on their watch than on his. It all points to a Republican landslide in November. The Democrats desperately need a big distraction, like Taiwan.
