So far Woke they’ve become the racists they’re looking for…

What happens when the left overreach so far they lap the whole argument and hit themselves from behind?

When Wokes and Racists Actually Agree on Everything

Racist:

“We kicked someone out for marrying a black woman, but if you can prove hes still a racist we’ll let him back in”

I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.’

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

    I have a dream today.

And now we have these narcissistic, spoilt, over-privileged teens and youths attempting to destroy all that has been achieved in the past fifty years.

I can tell you that in Canada, their is a great deal of contradictions and confusions mainly put out by the media and government propaganda.
We no say on much of our governments policies from immigration to trade. The government knows best and never discusses this.
The problems are when we’re all suppose to integrate and be equal when our government pays out billions to our Natives to segregate and have special rights and privileges.
The laws and bi-laws have increased exponentially to the point you have no idea which areas have what laws you may be breaking.
It takes years to build to get all the proper permissions and permits.

Basicly the same in Australia too.
Infact, to the extent that many are desperately searching ancestry records for any faint connection to a “first Nation”. Ancestor , so that they can clain Aboriginal heritage any any advantages that may be exclusive to then (land rights etc)
It is actually establishing racism in reverse !

You make a good point about racial privilege. If you have access to free university education and study allowance, free dental care, free government provided housing, your own race based welfare, health and education services and land allocations equal to the size of western Europe, then you certainly have enormous racial privilege if people of other races are not entitled to the same. This is exactly what we saw with apartheid in South Africa and in my opinion this kind of racial privilege creates resentment from those members of the lower classed races that are not only excluded from the privileges, but they are forced to pay for them.

Of course the concept of first nation, that defines the privilege is also very flawed. For starters, it assumes that all indigenous people arrived at the same time and were then isolated until European settlers arrived. We already know this is not the case because Torres Strait islanders are a mixed race from New Guinea. A more likely scenario is that there has been a constant flow of people entering from SE Asia and New Guinea ever since the very first people arrived and racial mixing has occurred over this time, making the concept of first nations obsolete. In determining first nations, you would need to be able to determine a specific genetic test to work out who came 40 thousand years ago, which is not possible. It’s also possible that the first people were killed off by those who came later, but we would never know. At a very minimum, Torres Strait Islanders would need to be considered second nation citizens and have their entitlements removed or we should all have the same privileges because we all came at a later date.

Surely a real nation has certain characterics? A nation has cohesion, common laws and ethical outlook. A nation is not a collection of disparate tribes warring with each other, not to my mind anyway.

The Communist Party of Australia had as one of their main projects the establishing an independent communist republic in Australia. This comes from Lenin and his book National and the Colonial Question.
Communists party members were asked to volunteer to work in Aboriginal communities. White activists organised the initial land rights meetings. Some urban Aboriginals were trained in the Marxist theories. The Federal Aboriginal Affairs Department was being run by Aboriginal Activists and the Minister had no control or authority in that department.
The Marxist organisation, the United Nations started their First Peoples Project.
This was primary to attack Western Culture. Geoff McDonald,a former Communist wrote the book “Red over Black” which describes the actions of the Communist party in the devisive land rights movement. More to come

The point of the headline may be that there’s No commonly accepted, used and enforced code of behaviour that society can use.

The churches have collapsed in disgrace and can’t demand compliance with a Ten Commandments that guided many civilizations over the last few thousand years: and the present leadership vacuum can’t do anything more than analyze last night’s gushing, urgent News Broadcasts to work out the appropriate course to take to boost chances of re-election.

The chronic Verbalism that infests talk shows and radio interviews is tragic and doesn’t look good for our future.
    It’s pointless to go on.

A community, a society, can only be built from the ground up so that people working and contributing can see that their time and effort is being used wisely; not being frittered away or stolen.

I don’t know what to make of the current human damage that’s coming from the Lockdown but I do believe that it is significant and politically based rather than medically guided.

Then we look to the USA and find Woke Inspired Anger that permits violence and “blaming” to justify horrible antisocial acts.

    Society needs change and leadership that will reinstate;

    ETHICS.

        Hi Ted,

In the right system of thinking, skin colour should be irrelevant to normal life decisions.

As David’s movie preview below shows, there are many Americans of colour who have built wonderful lives while having that skin colour and who yet feel O.K. in USA.

        The problem is ugly behaviour.

Essentially he is neither Democrat nor Republican and to a significant amount he owes little or nothing to either of those voracious tribes.

I am amazed the BBC allowed this to be broadcast.

The key part I find remarkable is the following:

“It would be unfair to judge a 19th Century man by 21st Century principles.
Assessing the people of Africa’s past by today’s standards would compel us to cast the majority of our heroes as villains, denying us the right to fully celebrate anyone who was not influenced by Western ideology.
Igbo slave traders like my great-grandfather did not suffer any crisis of social acceptance or legality. They did not need any religious or scientific justifications for their actions. They were simply living the life into which they were raised.
    That was all they knew.”

Yet so much criticism is flying around based on 21st century principles.

Nevertheless, there was religious acceptance of slavery as a fact of life.

Every nation following their own god in the Jewish chronicles of the Torah engaged in slavery. So did the Greeks, the Byzantines, the Persians, the Romans, the Huns, the Germanic tribes, the Slavs, the Normans, the Vikings, the Mayan, the Aztecs, the Inca … human history is extremely tightly bound to slavery.

Today we have slavery in the form of China and the Uighurs, SE Asian fishing fleets unloading their catch at sea, and Democrats pushing for unrestricted illegal immigration into the US (to name but a few.)

Wait … how is illegal immigration into the US “slavery”? Economic slavery is no different than putting shackles on someone, and Democrat open border supporters are all for keeping slavery alive—right in line with their history of forming the Confederacy and the KKK in American history.

And yet slavery still existed in Buddhist or substantially Buddhist countries.

Japan officially abolished slavery in 1590 but it persisted plus also “comfort women” slaves before and during WW2.

Sri Lanka abolished it 1820’s but forced to by British.

In Burma, forced by the British late 19th cent.

In Laos forced by the French late 19th cent.

In Cambodia forced by French late 19th cent.

In Thailand 1905 due to pressure from Western powers.

In Bhutan 1962 due to Western influence on the education of Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.

Even in those countries it was the people that the Left hate so much, white Europeans that forced the abolition of slavery (except Japan).

“One of the less well known aspects of the history of slavery is how many and how often non-whites owned and traded slaves in early America.

Yes indeed, slavery has been endemic from the first cities of Mesopotamia. They built the egyptian pyramids, the Parthenon, the acropolis, Mayan and Aztec pyramids, the great wall of china . The worst perpetrators were the black slave traders but above them all were the Arabic slavers.

It is little known that whites were also sold into slavery from the Romans, through the Viking age- the biggest slave market in Europe was in Dublin- and black and Arabic slave traders used to raid European shores and snatch people from coastal towns including towns very local to me in Devon.

Some 1.6 million white slaves were thought to have been enslaved and this was only a trade that was broken when the British destroyed the home of the Barbary pirates in Algiers around 1820

In the 15, 16 and 17Th century white slaves were more trafficked than black ones.

The danger posed by the white slave traders was obviously deeply ingrained. I remember my mother born around 1920 used to say to my sister in the sixties, ‘you’d better be back early or the white slave traders will grab you.’ My wife also remembers HER mother saying the same thing!

Unfortunately slavery has resurged with some 100 million estimated to be trafficked every year mostly in Africa and the middle east

It is a shame BLM don’t concentrate on modern slavery rather than being so concerned about events of 200 or more years ago

Everything the “woke” and the “racist” person said in the video has recently been stated by Leftists.

The racism of the Left became particularly apparent during the BLM protests. Also, it took Donald Trump to demonstrate the racism of the DemocRATs, the traditional party of slavery, how it is the Dems that have always suppressed black people in welfare slavery. Trump created the biggest black employment EVER.

And if you want to see another example of Leftist slavery, look at how black conservatives are treated by the Left.

    Some facts. In the US:

Republicans voted to abolish slavery. Dems voted to keep it.

Republicans voted to give blacks the vote. Dems voted against that.

Republicans passed the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Dems opposed it.

The first black Republican was voted to the US Senate in 1871. The first Dem senator was not elected until 1993.

The first 22 blacks elected to the US House were all Republicans.

Martin Luther King Sr was a Republican.
Martin Luther King Jr was an independent.
    Jim Crow was a Democrat.
    Abe Lincoln was a Republican.

The original incarnation of the KKK was a paramilitary wing of the Democrats. (Leftists deny this but see

It stands to reason that the current situation is unsustainable and will eventually collapse. Why? Reason has been re-defined to be totally disconnected from reality. That means we have those who are disconnected from reality (the insane), and those who are reported to use reason who are by definition disconnected from reality (the also insane).

As a consequence, reality is held to be optional and subject to mob rule. Hence a riot in which people are killed, wealth is stolen, and business are burned is a “peaceful protest”. A mob yelling and screaming “we are going to kill you, burn your house, and live in the house we have burned” is also a “peaceful protest”. All because the political leaders in charge have said it is. Self defense against such “peaceful protest” is held to be a violation of the “peaceful protestor’s” constitutional rights. All because the political leaders in charge have said it is. Clearly this cannot stand. Why? Because reality has been defined out of existence by decree of the political leaders in charge.

Reality is what it is and is not what it is not. No amount of redefinition, evasion, politically correct commandments, nor mob rule can change that. Only if respect for what reality is and respect for acting consistent with that reality can civilization be sustained. Without that respect the only question that remains is the irrelevant details of how civilization will be destroyed and how fast it will happen.

You thought COVID-19 was the most fearful thing we had to worry about. Think again! It is a mild head cold by comparison.

I currently see this insanity from reality almost everyday from our politicians.
New bi-laws with hefty fines from mayors across my Province. Some imposing parking fines as people try to escape the cities to the beaches along with social distancing fines. New laws on all businesses which really has made all the bars and restaurants unable to open due to large fines for any infractions to pulling business licenses. Two $25,000. fines already imposed on bars. Mayors threatening 60% property taxes really make people want to leave and fast. All public areas not wearing a mask is a fine including apartment buildings.

Lionell the “leftists” see themselves as above the law. Their idea of democracy is that winner (i.e. 50% + 1 when they get it) takes all.

Yesterday a prominent lawyer ventured the opinion that the Victorian premier acted unlawfully when he directed police to not charge people taking part in the BLM demonstration.

For me that is self evident. I hope to hear more of it.

Lawyers in Canada say that the lockdown and layoffs were illegal because it was done by a decree father than through changing the laws on the books. Any judge would have to agree give full severance to any and all effected. The money that governments are giving is not counted as it is the employers that illegally went with it, even if they pulled the business license, it is illegal by the courts. Yet to be tried though.

I suggest it is worse that “above the law”. It is reality does not apply to them nor does a law based upon reality. That is if they can by, hook or crook, “get away with it”. So far they are “getting away with it.”

The more moderate Democrats are afraid to oppose them. Too many Republicans are whistling past the grave yard and trying to ignore it. Most of the rest are just talk…talk…talk….

The definition of racism has being wickedly twisted by the far-left woke brigade and now it apparently only applies to white people. In the new definition, it is not possible to be a racist unless you have white skin and by definition, all white skinned people are born racist. In addition, white hatred is actively encouraged and celebrated in this new woke age, and even the utterance of “all lives mater” is forbidden and seen as racist because it could be interpreted to include white skinned people. However, the most bizzar aspect of this new racist concept is that it places blame on white skinned people living today for all historical events that are deemed as race crimes, going back as far as human history is recorded.

What is also notable in this new “woke” age, is that black deaths are almost completely ignored, regardless of how many thousands die and even when innocent women and children are victims, provided the perpetrators are black. However, one single black death at the hands of a white person will invoke hysteria on a scale beyond imagination and with violence that can engulf an entire nation.

When you view the new world from the eyes of a conservative, perhaps the most saddening part is the loss of a voice for the innocent black victims, who are now being forced to endure crimes in a world where no penalty is wanted for a black perpetrator and where the pertetrator is seen as both victim and hero by the broader community.

    Kind of.
I am much more inclined to see aggressive wokeness and the virus response as just a continuation of the same game of eroding the West that has been going on for some time. Hillary was supposed to win. Criminal acts were performed to prevent Trump from winning, and then to remove him. Instruments of the state were mobilised, but fortunately their usual incompetence overwhelmed their objective. Justice is severely distorted (witness the Flynn case for just one egregious example). The media is playing lapdog to the liars. There is a big game going on and our littluns are not getting much guidance except from liars and frauds.

Haven’t read the “Book of Woke” but as pointed out earlier slavery has been around long before Woke emerged as a cult. Current example of slavery is the “wage” paid to all those Chinese workers who provide us with our iPhones and the like. Anthony’s is moving to a new platform, so new posts are temporarily suspended.

However, there is a video, currently **near** the bottom of almost 600 comments that discusses whether the U. S. is close to, or perhaps in, a civil war.

Not to denigrate anyone’s knowledge of history, but the “Civil War” or “The War Between the States” (1861 – 1865) was NOT fought over slavery. Slavery was an ancillary issue to the initiation of the conflict, and yes, within the midst of the war, Lincoln issued the “Emancipation Proclamation”; the core issue that ignited the conflict was the question of how much power the States had, within their own borders, to manage their affairs. OF COURSE, this is a gross-oversimplification of a very complex issue, but it would be impossible to put a dissertation on the cause(s) of the Civil War here. Suffice it to say that the States that formed the Confederacy did so on the basis that they saw their internal power as different from what the Federal government in Washington, D.C., did.

As we have seen, those who fail to study history, are doomed to repeat it. I’m not competent enough to post the video link here, maybe someone else is able.
