Queensland govt pays $320k to Al Gore to train people in climate witchcraft and gets Snow too!

Snow. Queensland, 2019.Al Gore is here in Australia to train 1,0o0 useful idiots on Unscience, neolithic reasoning and witchcraft. The man with no climate science expertise, and a huge vested interest is being paid by taxpayers to train people to chant “consensus” and pretend that wind and solar can stop storms and hold back the tide. These obedient fools help to destroy any conversation about science by reciting anti-science bumperstickers like “the science is settled”, “gravity is real” and “tobacco, tobacco, tobacco”. Because, hey, the tobacco industry funded merchants of doubt, and they were wrong, so therefore Ergo Prompter Upchuck, all government scientists are right on Everything, All Of The Time, and you are an idiot denier.

Repeat after me: There were no storms in 1703. Droughts didn’t exist. It wasnt hotter, colder, deadlier and more extreme for most of human history and 20 times as many people didn’t die of cold.

Global Bullies Unite and ask Anna Palaszczuk for money. Suffer the Queensland taxpayer. The Labor Party in Queensland should pay this money back, it’s an advertising expense.

Fittingly, The Gore effect strikes again. Snow fell in Queensland. (The last time it fell was 2015.)

Alan Jones asks why the Queensland Government is so awash with money

Taxpayers will fork out more than $320,000 for the Climate Week conference, where form US vice president Al Gore will “communicate the urgency of the climate crisis”.

“It is not believable,” says Alan, “that the Queensland government can be so awash with money as to bring this hypocrite Al Gore to Australia for a conference.

“When so many important instruments of government are underfunded, when farmers can’t feed their cattle in Queensland, and $320,000 goes to waste on this shonk.”

Queensland Govt was so proud to waste this money on abject nonsense when it announced the “tour” last November:

Former US Vice President Al Gore will visit Brisbane next year to conduct climate change leadership training for up to a 1000 people from across Australia and the Pacific.

The three-day event at the Brisbane Convention Centre 5 to 7 June 2019 – run by the Climate Reality Project(external site) – will see business and community leaders trained to be educators and take action with climate solutions, as the world moves to meet its commitments under the Paris Agreement.

Environment and Science Minister Leeanne Enoch said the Palaszczuk Government was a strong supporter for action on climate change and was proud to host the event.

“I spoke with Al Gore when I attended the Global Climate Action Summit in September, and encouraged him to bring himself and the Climate Reality Project to Queensland,” she said.

“By securing this internationally recognised event for Brisbane, the Palaszczuk Government is putting Queensland at the forefront of important climate change work.

The training will be free of charge and is expected to attract around 5 000 applicants, with between 800 and 1,000 selected to take part.

Further details are available on The Climate Reality Project website (www.climaterealityproject.org/training(external site)).

You lot are so pathetic, I’m actually attending here in Brisbane as I’ve been a Climate Reality Leader since 2012 and was joking with friends what denialist blogs will be covering this and guess what ?

It’s interesting that many of you so called scientists are quick to Condemn Al Gore but most likely have never actually met or spoken with him, not that its surprising as he told us about Spencer, Happer and Christie backing out of debating him as he contacted them directly away from the far right media that still spreads viscous lies about a man who only wants the best for humanity.

Anyway enjoy your little jokes that virtually no one will read because your the past and we’re the future.

Can’t even give an original reply, also interesting that Nova highlights the weather extremes as this was predicted by Al Gore years before all the false experts tried to debunk him.

Al Gore, like Tim Flannery is incompetent at mathematics. He was captain at football and his thesis was on the influence of TV in Richard Nixon’s campaign. Flannery’s degree like Gore’s was in English, not science.

Why do you believe they are scientists and know all about the weather or any other science? The have no qualifications whatsoever in anything approaching meteorology. Still when you really believe something, the facts do not matter.

Just tell me that in 31 years the seas have really risen for you, the world is hotter, the storms are worse. Or admit your gods are false gods.

Dr. Tim Flim Flam Flannery did his BA in English, his Masters in Earth Sciences and then spent most of his university time studying kangaroos and possums for a Dr. of Palaeontology, before conversion into the cult of CAGWatology.

It would be interesting to see between him and Gore who has the most outlandish and most failed predictions!!

We skeptics might take you more seriously if you (a) didn’t always, and I mean always, make it personal, (b)didn’t habitually label us with variants of “denier,” an insult but also a religious term once used interchangeably with “heretic,” (c)didn’t idolize a man so ripe for parody, and who perfectly exemplifies the hypocrisy of the climate movement, and (d)didn’t spread obvious lies such as your ridiculous assertion that Happer, et al, men vastly smarter and more knowledgeable than Gore, backed out of debating him, as though scared to do so. That last part shows that your emotions have overpowered your intellect, such as it is, you do not judge situations correctly, and are dismissive of persons who hold opinions contrary to yours. These are disqualifying weaknesses, which render you negligible.

Yes the phrasing was weird and stilted plus the spelling and punctuation very odd. That is why it was ripe for parody as no one would write such rubbish. The content was as lacking in credibility as the phrasing. The response showed a lack of comprehension of parody. My guess would be a foreign language troll or prankster.

Without such knowledge the BS filter is inoperative. Those with such a background and who still BELIEVE are prolly liars. I can’t think of any other reason for such beliefs.

OK Fletch, you want an original reply, so how about answering a simple question whose answer must support your position. If you’re so certain you’re right, this should be easy. Disregarding the question only means that you know the answer, but it’s too disruptive to your beliefs to acknowledge.

In the steady state, the average W/m^2 of solar forcing results in an average of 1.62 W/m^2 emitted by the surface, or about 390 W/m^2 of surface emissions from 240 W/m^2 of solar forcing. One W/m^2 of the average emissions is offset by the forcing and the remaining 620 mw per m^2 are replaced by surface energy absorbed by the atmosphere in the past and returned to the surface. The 620 mw per W/m^2 of forcing quantifies the total effect from all feedbacks, positive, negative, known and unknown where the zero feedback case is an ideal black body that in the steady state emits exactly 1 W/m^2 per W/m^2 of forcing, independent of its temperature.

The IPCC presumes that the next average W/m^2 of forcing (ERF), whether from the Sun or an equivalent increase in CO2, will increase the surface temperature by about 0.8C corresponding to an increase in surface emissions of about 4.4 W/m^2.

How can the climate system distinguish the next W/m^2 from all the others so that on a Joule by Joule basis, it can be about 3 times as powerful at warming the surface than the average W/m^2?

If you think it’s feedback, then you still need to explain how the Earth can tell the difference so that the next W/m^2 is subject to far more ‘feedback’ than any other. If all W/m^2 from the Sun were subject to the same feedback claimed to affect the next W/m^2, the surface temperature would be close to the boiling point of water.

BTW, whether your statement is true or fabricated, I would have little interest in debating Gore on the science either. His understanding of the science is so limited, he would be bottomed out in minutes and while making him look stupid would be fun and easy, it does nothing to fix the science. I’d much rather debate someone who claims to be an actual scientist, like Gavin Schmidt, as making him look stupid would be just as easy and have a greater impact.

Interestingly, he claims he leads a carbon free lifestyle and this makes sense when you realise all his emissions are fully paid for by other people (ie: all free), including this taxpayer funded trip to QLD, where the Gore effect didn’t let us down, with snow falling west of Brisbane.

“Arctic” if you don’t mind. I watched Gore’s film many years ago. For all intents and purposes it was the same as meeting him. Sea levels should have risen a metre by now. They haven’t. The only solution offered was to change light bulbs. Kids were left with the impression it was a trivial matter to fix the non-problem. No wonder they’re now all behaving like something from a rejected Monty Python skit.

I went down to Miami and saw fish from the ocean swimming in the streets on a sunny day. The same thing was true in Honolulu just two days ago, just from high tides because of the sea level rise now,” he added.

All the oceans are connected, and I am not naive enough to neglect decadal oscillations and other effects on local tide levels BUT 70 years ago I lived on low land, but it did have concrete gutters. The spring tides used to run up the gutters in front of the house and sometimes wet our backyard. Dad filled the back to keep it dry.

Today, the tides still come up the gutter but the house [it was old when I lived there] would still NOT be on the market cheap ie It is not being abandoned to the seas.

Stating that “No actions are too extreme to take.” when you have just admitted that what you were told in untrue SHOULD make you re-think your position and absolute belief in Gore’s prognostications but I doubt this will happen, given all you have submitted in this thread.

              Julian:
Mr Albert Gore will also have to retract his statements blaming or trying to blame CO2 for increasing hurricane power and frequency. That is solely the dominion of the Sun.

All Tropical Cyclones (hurricanes, typhoons, medicanes and plain ordinary tropical cyclones) are created by the Solar Wind when it stirs up our planet’s ionosphere. Their frequency and power are solely the prerogative of the Sun. Our atmospheric CO2 has absolutely no effect at all on the Sun nor on those storms.

Our friend Fletcher raises an interesting point that sceptics of man-made global warming need to be aware of. We are all waiting to see how in the long run the Earths climate will continue to vary from warm to cool as it has for the past 4 billion years.

However if nothing noticeable outside the known highs and lows e.g. the Roman warm, the dark age cool, the medieval warm, the 17-18th century cool and the recent warming, happens to the climate then the likes of Al Gore and his fellow hysterics will claim that nothing happened because we cut emissions, just in time to save the day.

You can not win an argument with people who use circular logic as the basis of their “beliefs”. Too hot too cold, too much water not enough water, too much ice not enough ice etc. etc.. it’s all climate change. If something happens we didn’t do enough, if nothing happens we did just enough. No win!

It’s all about who controls the means of production and in modern industrial society that means who controls electrons in wires. There is a reason that the left and right are on different sides of this argument and that is because it is about political power and control. It has not been about science for at least 20 years.

slightly tangential but not to climate alarmism; over at WUWT they’re reporting a paper published May 30th by Australian think tank the Breakthrough National Centre for Climate Restoration.

A NYT report on this’paper’ claims: “A harrowing new climate change report warns we may be on the way to extinction, claiming there is a “high likelihood” human civilization will come to an end by 2050 unless action is taken on greenhouse gas emissions.”

Here is the comment I made and perhaps you and others might consider the practicality of doing this:

“I think it is time that organisations like this were Sued for Damages on behalf of children who live in fear as a direct consequence of the deliberate manipulation and misinformation now constantly being thrown at them.

Perhaps some Australian parents could start crowd-funding to commence an action.” seeking damages on behalf of their children.

The funniest thing in all this global warming opinionated entitled misery, is that when the inner city dodos manage to destroy their sources of fuel and food, its my door they’ll come crawling to if they make it out of the dying cities. I’ll still have food and power, because I understand both. Will I help them? Yes, but only at the cost of intellectual engagement and their own labour for food. Heaven help them if they try to steal from me though.

I’d love to shortcut all this, with a National Month of Zero Fossil Fuel usage – no diesel, petrol, gas, or coal. That would end this global warming stupidity once and for all, at a much lower cost of life than the current socialist manifesto, from which there is no recovery.

One of the reasons given for becoming a leader:

            TRUSTED MESSENGERS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE
Your friends and family trust you. When you speak, they listen. Learn how to use your position to open minds and inspire action.

They have to be joking. I think most families survive because of (1) an implicit “agree to disagree” pact and (2) never raise the subject.

Dear Julian, You claim that “we’re the future”.

Don’t think so ……. you haven’t got a future according to your own doctrine and gospel ….. if just a fraction of the false claims made by climate activists are true you’re going to fry.

You also should take note of the so-called ‘populist’ movements growing around the world and rejecting your attempts to impose socialist-marxism on democratic societies via the IPCC and UN.

Enjoy your fear-mongering whilst you can, your climate alarmism is being proven false by the world itself and it is beginning to fall apart as earth disproves your propaganda.

Have a good day – and although I doubt you’ll read this here are a few Facts as opposed to the politico-warmist propaganda you have swallowed hook, line and sinker:
Here in England it is unseasonably cold; German Alps have record May snow fall and snow depths not seen for around 40 years; Hamburg recorded the latest Spring (by some 14 days) in more than 30 years; Japan Meteorological Organisation shows with untampered data that Ireland, parts of Japan and China and large parts of Europe have seen an overall 1C Drop in temperature over the last 30 years; Remote Sensing shows the temperature above Antarctic sea ice have Dropped by some 2.4C between 1982 and 2015 – the 11 weather Stations outside of the West Antarctic volcanic zone show No Temperature increase in the last 35 – 40 years; Antarctic Sea Ice has been Increasing since 1978 at an average of around 17,000 sq km each year.

Not quite what your propaganda machine likes to hear and I have no doubt that is why there is such a frenetic outpouring of warmist propaganda over the last 6 – 8 months. A quiet sun during a grand solar minimum has far greater influence than the trace gas CO2.

Oh and btw James Cook University published a paper 2 or 3 weeks ago that found that Global Vegetation was now removing more CO2 from the atmosphere each year than mankind was emitting …..its an absolute disgrace that wind turbines and solar which actually increase CO2 emissions are pushed as a fake means of reducing CO2.

    “Commentary

“The Australian election on May 18 was one of the most significant in the nation’s history.

“The choice was simple: either to continue with a relatively sound Liberal-National government under Prime Minister Scott Morrison or plunge into a suicidal downward spiral presided over by a Labor Party under Bill Shorten, locked into an alliance that dare not speak its name with the cultural Marxist Greens.

“The commentariat, politicians, and pollsters were overwhelmingly united in predicting an inevitable Labor-Greens victory; only a very few dissented.
Australians seemed doomed to becoming, if not the Venezuela, the Argentina of the South Seas.

“The comparison with Argentina is highly relevant. When the six self-governing colonies which straddled the continent were united into one nation on the very first day of the 20th Century, Australia and Argentina were, on a per capita basis, probably the richest countries in the world. Since then, Australia has remained an advanced democracy making a significant and disproportionate contribution in the defence of freedom, especially in the world wars; Argentina has not.

“As the election approached, unease and gloom swept the land as hardworking Australians, those in small business, farmers, and especially self-funded retirees were caricatured as modern Kulaks coming from ‘the big end of town’ and enjoying their ill-gotten gains on their yachts.

“Those few who dared ask about the costs of Labor’s extremist plans to reduce CO2 emissions were dismissed as ‘cave dwellers’ and ‘knuckle draggers.’ Even to ask about the cost of this was labelled ‘stupid, ‘dumb,’’ and ‘dishonest.’
The Labor-Greens clearly decided that their divisive language and radical program would prove popular with Australians who receive most of their information from left-leaning TV networks.

“Fortunately, Australians have a disdain for political games and for most politicians. And including this election, they rarely resort to the violence and disruption that is common in some countries, even those as advanced as France.

Meanwhile, reported on News.com, we only have 30 years left before the end of civilization as we know it. A heat wave in India with temps up to 50C and snow in Queensland are all indicators of a climate catastrophy. The Indian heat wave has caused 8 (thats right ) deaths. No mention of the health status of the victims, just the fact that climate change caused their demise. The snow in Queensland is just an indicator of how “crazy” the weather has become. Don’t mention that where it has snowed in Queensland they have grown apples for over a 100 years. Apples you say, yes, these trees require a substantial amount of cold frosty conditions to produce fruit. Guess the original orchardists could predict global cooling well into the 21st century

The Qld government has a declared renewable energy target of 50% by 2030, but their plans fail to declare which coal-fired power stations they intend to close. And without any specifics, “the Expert Panel’s modelling estimated the target would have a broadly cost neutral impact on electricity consumers, and security of supply would be maintained through the transition”. But not to be outdone, the Qld Greens are advocating for 100% renewables by 2030. So they get Al Gore to train people as climate campaigners, rather than as engineers.

In a reply under the Nuclear Power Plants blog, Pat had some statements from Gore.

“Fossil fuels can no longer compete,” Gore, who graduated from Harvard 50 years ago, said in comments to students at the school’s 2019 Class Day ceremony on Wednesday. “The largest sovereign wealth fund in the world, in Norway, financed completely by oil and gas revenues, has started divesting from fossil fuels, and so should Harvard University.”

Gore, who chairs sustainable investment firm Generation Investment Management, said holding onto fossil fuels is a “moral issue” and he compared them to the school’s past decisions to divest tobacco- and some Apartheid-related stocks.

It has already been said that Gore has no science qualification and based on his statement that fossil fuels cannot compete he has no finance or business qualifications either, and his education record shows that.

So much of Al Gore’s rhetoric relies on the information from the IPCC and their wretched Climate Models, so I find it heartwarming to see work from honest scientist critiquing them gets through …

    From https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0378437118301766

Physica C. Essex, A.A. Tsonis, Model falsifiability and climate slow modes,
    https://doi.org/10.1016/j.physa.2018.02.090

    Highlights

    • Climate models do not and cannot employ known physics fully. Thus, they are falsified, a priori.
    • Incomplete physics and the finite representation of computers can induce false instabilities.
    • Eliminating instability can lead to computational overstabilization or false stability.
    • Models on ultra-long timescales are dubiously stable. This is referred to as the “climate state.” Is it real?
    • Decadal variability is understandable in terms of a specific class of nonlinear dynamical systems.

    Abstract

The most advanced climate models are actually modified meteorological models attempting to capture climate in meteorological terms. This seems a straightforward matter of raw computing power applied to large enough sources of current data. Some believe that models have succeeded in capturing climate in this manner. But have they? This paper outlines difficulties with this picture that derive from the finite representation of our computers, and the fundamental unavailability of future data instead. It suggests that alternative windows onto the multi-decadal timescales are necessary in order to overcome the issues raised for practical problems of prediction.

So Mr. Gore the climate models are not a good way to verify the climate actuality, or to give reasonable ‘projection scenarios’ (aka predictions) about the future.

    180

    • #
      theRealUniverse

There is another factor, the SUN. You HAVE to take the solar wind and mass ejections in the FUTURE to even try to look at future climate influence. This is physically impossible. Therefore models WONT WORK!

4 Jun: Bloomberg: The Couple Who Feds Say Scammed Berkshire Hathaway for Millions
The FBI alleges that DC Solar ran $800 million Ponzi-type scheme using lure of big federal tax credits
By Brian Eckhouse, Katherine Chiglinsky, and Mark Chediak; With assistance by Anousha Sakoui, and Steven Church
Jeff Carpoff (wife, Paulette) had a lot to celebrate as friends and business associates gathered at his company’s Christmas party last year…
Their business, making mobile solar generators, had afforded them lavish goodies. They owned more than 90 cars, from classic Fords and Plymouths to Bentleys, at least 20 properties, and even a professional baseball team in Martinez, just northeast of San Francisco…

A few days later, when law enforcement agents showed up at their front door, the Carpoffs’ extravagant life came crashing down. It was an edifice largely built on an alleged fraud — a Ponzi-type scheme, in essence, say federal authorities — that was as elaborate and brazen as their spending habits.
Their company, DC Solar, is now out of business, most of its 100-strong workforce unemployed. Their home in Martinez, a sprawling 4,100-square-foot affair, is in foreclosure, the swimming pool littered with leaves. When FBI agents visited the home on that day in late December, they took many of the luxury cars. They also seized a pile of cash — $1.8 million in all — that had been secreted away in a safe and elsewhere in one of the couple’s offices.

The Carpoffs, authorities contend, had managed to parlay a do-good incentive to encourage solar investments into an $800 million fraud scheme. Promising big federal tax credits and profits, their pitch enticed sophisticated investors, even though it came from an enterprise little-known outside of California and the car-racing world.

Not only did Berkshire bite, sinking $340 million alone, but so did insurer Progressive Corp. It had to reverse tax benefits worth more than $150 million due mostly to its DC Solar investments. A half-dozen or so regional banks were financial backers, too, including East West Bancorp Inc., Valley National Bancorp and United Financial Bancorp Inc. All plunked their money in funds set up by DC Solar that afforded significant tax credits and possible profits…

Dozens of the country’s biggest companies, from JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Bank of America Corp. to even paint maker Sherwin-Williams Co., now invest in renewable energy to benefit from the tax credits. (Sherwin-Williams was among DC Solar’s investors.)…READ ALL

4 Jun: ClimateChangeNews: UK government mulls emissions fudge, against official advice
The Financial Times reports the government will ignore guidance and use surplus from outperforming one carbon budget to meet the next goal
    By Karl Mathiesen
The UK has reportedly decided to count “surplus” carbon emissions toward future targets, an action advisers have warned would “undermine the integrity” of its climate regime and break faith with the Paris Agreement…

(CCC chair John) Gummer said carbon budgets had been set by the CCC on the understanding that it was UK policy not to transfer credits between periods. Cuts that beat the first budget were dropped. Changing policy now, he said, “undermines the integrity of the framework for emissions reduction”…READ ON

Interesting quote from Gore’s interview with ABC RN at 6.30am on Thursday 16 May:

ABC RN: “Over the last year we’ve seen activism on climate change take on a slightly more radical bent. We have seen school strikes and so on. But we have also seen the Extinction Rebellion spread around the world. They have disrupted events, shut down streets and so on. What do you think of these more radical activist movements?” (6.30 min.)

GORE: “Well, (chuckles), I have to admit to you I have applauded most of them. I think the young people involved in the school strike movement – inspired in part by the young [sixteen-year old] Swedish girl, Greta Thunberg, have really captured the imagination of their peers around the world. We have a school-strike movement in the US now. One of the leaders is a thirteen-year old girl. She’s a graduate of one of my training programs here in the US, so I’m cheering them on!” (7.10 min.)

4 Jun: ClimateChangeNews: I am a denier. A human extinction denier
Comment: The rhetoric of extinction and emergency does not adequately describe the situation we find ourselves in and is counter-productive
    By Mike Hulme
(Mike Hulme is professor of human geography at the University of Cambridge. This article originally appeared on his blog)
This rise in extinction rhetoric in (largely) English-speaking societies over the past 12 months is in part linked to the IPCC’s Special Report on 1.5C Warming published last October. The slogan “we have only 12 years left” has somehow been extracted from this report and feeds the rise of climate clocks such as this one from the Human Impact Lab in Montreal. But the IPCC report offers neither scientific nor historical evidence for human extinction.
From this extinction fear arises the “panic” that Greta Thunberg has called for…
So here are five reasons why I am an extinction denier.

The rhetoric of climate change and extinction does not do justice to what we know scientifically. Climate prediction science is fundamentally based on probabilistic forecasts which underpin the quantification of risk. There is a range of possible values for future global warming. It is as false scientifically to say that the climate future will be catastrophic as it is to say with certainty that it will be merely lukewarm…READ ALL

Slogan: “we have only 12 years left” (2018)

Another UN false fact. It wants the global climate to confirm to its sustainable development 2030 goals, hence the twelve-year figure.

Here’s the UN S-G ratcheting up CC alarmism another notch last year:

António Guterres, the UN Secretary-General, issued this ultimatum on September 30 2018 of the “threat of runaway climate change” – whatever that is – by 2020 if nothing is done.

The bogeyman of our age is apparently “moving faster than we are”; or at least faster than dollars are moving from developed economies to the UN Green Climate Fund.

“If we do not change course by 2020, we risk missing the point where we can avoid runaway climate change with disastrous consequences for people and all the natural systems that sustain us…..We are careening towards the edge of the abyss. It is not too late to shift course. But every day that passes means the world heats up a little more, and the cost of our inaction mounts.”

If Germany wants to achieve climate neutrality, it needs nuclear power
    Washington Post-14 hours ago

4 Jun: CleanEnergyWire: If Germany wants to achieve climate neutrality, it needs nuclear power – opinion
    by Sören Amelang
    Washington Post
If Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel is really serious about her promise to make the country climate-neutral by 2050, her first step would be to reverse the end of nuclear power by 2022, writes Charles Lane in an op-ed for the Washington Post (LINK). Lane argues the energy transition has achieved little in terms of reducing carbon emissions despite costing billions of euros, because Germany replaced some nuclear power with coal. “There is a global lesson here. For all its risks, nuclear remains a crucial source of low-carbon-emission baseload electric power,” writes Lane. “The point is not that Germany was necessarily wrong to pursue clean energy or that the Energiewende is doomed to fail. It’s just that Germany could achieve its carbon goals a lot sooner by keeping nuclear,” according to Lane, who also notes that “one of Germany’s cultural idiosyncrasies is a phobia about nuclear energy.”

VW CEO Herbert Diess this week drew heavy criticism for suggesting that Germany should first exit coal instead of nuclear power to protect the climate…

There have been a couple of recent scandals where “scientific research” has been shown to be funded by various interest groups, or directly by companies expecting a particular result (e.g. International Life Sciences Institute).

Oh the outrage! Ok, fair enough, it’s not science, I am not defending such practices, but nor am I surprised either. There have been numerous examples of this type of action in the past, and no doubt it will continue to happen.

Yet, from the deluded and the Climate faithful, there’s never any consideration that something orders of magnitude more profitable than junk food, tobacco, or asbestos could ever suffer from similar problems Nor do they think it’s a bit funny that Al Gore directly profits from his unscientific rantings. The cognitive dissonance continues to be breathtaking.

GASEOUS AL GORE, DOOMSDAY CULT CHAIRMAN OF THE APOCALYPSE

“If an age is imbued with an error, some always derive advantage from the error, while the rest have to suffer from it.”
    — Max Stirner

The sky is falling! The sky is falling! Women and orphans hardest hit!

The planet has been “cooling” for at least the past 20 years, or so — the recent cook-the-books massage job by NOAA notwithstanding. And the so-called “experts” have never “once” demonstrated, recorded, or proven human causation for “any” global warming — it’s all been projections based on computer models subject to bad historical data, divergent / incompatible or inconsistent instrumentation, exaggeration and the-sky-is-falling alarmism, and manipulation-for-profit — for taxpayer-paid government grants, carbon-credits schemes, and studies required by environmentalist wacko government regulations. Climate change occurs — this is “old news” — and human action has never been proven the cause of climate change.

The anthropogenic [“man-made”] global warming religion has proven very profitable for those who own the religion and who drag around by the rings in their noses the useful idiots, airheads, and drooling, googley-eyed, bobble-headed sycophants who have an intense itch to be followers, “a part of a cause bigger than themselves” — who project an arrogant condescension onto ignorant [unbrainwashed] dissidents.

Contemplate Gaseous Al Gore — that lying sack of nevermind and doomsday cult Chairman Of The Apocalypse — who sold his failed global-warming alarmist TV station to Al Jazeera — a propaganda arm of some murderous oil dictatorship, somewhere out there in Kaboomistan.

Now, didn’t Al Gore buy a 6,500 square-foot, $9 million, very-high carbon-footprint mansion in Montecito — “only” 480 feet above sea level where it is sure to be inundated by the HUGELY TOWERING WAVES of polar ice cap melt celebrated in scare-em-silly fictional environmentalist quack movies — if his boolsheet theory of man-made global warming actually proves true to reality? And this is in addition to his 10,000 square-foot mansion in Tennessee, another huge carbon footprint! And hasn’t OhBummer already bought the ocean-front Magnum-PI property in Hawaii? His bloody “rising seas” ought to swamp and drown him — else he is a lying hypocrite.

I have no problem with people becoming fabulously rich in the capitalist system, but the stink of hypocrisy of Gaseous Al Gore — that lying fascist skunk — is annoying. He must be laughing up his sleeve at all the idiots who have enriched him through his scam, his hoax, his fraudulent religion — man-made global warming.

So desperate now are the profiteers of his nutty religion that they are resorting once again to Hollyweird for scary big-screen movies and TV shows to carry their lunatic propaganda.

They turn scientific method on its head, demanding that skeptics prove “that there is not” any man-made global warming, but no one is obliged to prove any such thing — for the same reason that we are not obliged to prove that the moon “is not” made of green cheese.

It tells me something useful about opposing the former OhBummer dictatorship when my reference to the moon and the green cheese was hijacked for an OhBummer speech. Possibly his speech was written by Biden The Magnificent, that lobotomized serial plagiarist who served as OhBummer’s principal criminal accessory.

The ecofascists, ecofreaks, and enviromaniacs? Defy them or ignore them. Let’s just focus on ensuring clean air and clean water.

The uber-left treacherous Queesland government is so off with the fairies at the bottom of the garden, that it can not even manage to run a train or bus schedule on time, anywhere within the entire state of Queensland. Public transportation is a hopeless joke in Queensland, and it gets worse with every re-elected profoundly incompetent Labor government and their hopelessly administered public service, that WE PAY TAXES FOR.

So Premier Pluckachook gives away OUR money way to fatass dishonest Al-Gore!

Wot’s up with that, Pluckachook? Lost the plot completely have you?

And to do this The Plucka and her treacherous ‘government’ administration raises the cost of all taxed, all stamp-duty, all ‘levies’, every ‘surcharge’, every license, every bit of useless anti-economic red-tape compliance, and especially every fine imposed by it, for some imagined sin. Meanwhile Plucka garnisheeing all wages, wallets and bank accounts, and using courts to take away the little of people’s possessions they may have, and suspending their already-paid-for and very expensive licenses so that they can not even work or live, so Plucka and Trad can force them to cough-up the cash to give it to Al Gore, while impoverishing and making dysfunctional the State of Queensland.

Then pretending to have produced a budget ‘surplus’, when that’s all she’s actually ever done, while actually preventing people from working and living their lives, free of such a parasitic scumbag government.

Queensland labor are in every way the enemy of Queensland, they are clearly inimical to it’s people’s interests and future, and this arrogant promotion of the lies of Al-Gore at out expense, is just one more demonstration of what a devious treacherous socialist filth is currently running the State of Queensland.

That’s what’s truly goring about this. Gored by a bull, or gored by his bullsheet – you decide.

    “When Prophecy Fails”

    From wikipedia;
When Prophecy Fails: A Social and Psychological Study of a Modern Group That Predicted the Destruction of the World is a classic work of social psychology by Leon Festinger, Henry Riecken, and Stanley Schachter published in 1956, which studied a small UFO religion in Chicago called the Seekers that believed in an imminent apocalypse and its coping mechanisms after the event did not occur. Festinger’s theory of cognitive dissonance can account for the psychological consequences of disconfirmed expectations. One of the first published cases of dissonance was reported in this book.

So the Queensland government uses some of the BILLIONS of dollars it gets from coal mining royalties to pay a world class finger wager to tell them to stop mining coal? How guilty must poor old Al feel knowing that his global warming scare if funded from coal mining? How does he go on knowing that the more he works to save us all the more he increases global CO2 emissions?

The gap between reason and irrationality has never been greater at the highest levels of western society, fortunately most people are not fooled and as long as they allow us to vote in free elections the elites will never be allowed to go too far with their rubbish.
