Gab, surging, has copies of all Trump’s tweets

The great regrouping of Global Social Media is just starting.

Gab LogoIn the last four days 1.7 million new users have signed up to Gab — an alternative site to Twitter. The surge is so strong the site is swamped under the load. Gab are upgrading all the servers to deal with the growth. (The CEO is asking for patience).

Gab has already been thrown off both the big Ap Stores and Amazon too, back in 2018. To ensure that wouldn’t happen again, they bought and set up their own private servers.  (The internet really is hardware, after all).

They not only set up their own servers, they even created their own web browser (called Dissenter). They also built a video platform (Gab.TV.) and an encrypted email chat messaging service (Chat.Gab.).I have used Dissenter for months. I like it. There are rumours they are working on a Gab Phone as well.

Nothing will hurt Google, Amazon and Twitter like losing half their base.

It’s been a four year war for the CEO, Andrew Torba.

Look at the vilification this 30 year old outspoken Christian has had to endure:

As a result of Torba’s free speech principles, both Gab and Andrew have been no-platformed and banned by 25+ service providers over the years including both App Stores, multiple payment processors, and hosting providers.

Torba himself has been personally banned from online banks, cryptocurrency exchanges, and Twitter for many years now. His family is also blacklisted by VISA.

Andrew Torba has also faced numerous threats of violence, doxxing, stalking, and more for his fight to defend free speech online for all people.

Want to see ALL Donald Trumps Tweets?

The CEO Andrew Torba had the wit to back up President’s Trumps entire Twitter account before it was deleted.

So far President Trump has not added any new tweets Gab’s mirror account: @realdonaldtrump. (Which is very slow to load).

It’s possible to read all the Presidents tweets without Warnings and deletions. Not being treated like a baby might catch on?!

I deems commenters here have totally missed “the bleeding obvious” in their rants against freedom of speech. Of course freedom of speech wasn’t affected by Trump’s banning as all he had to do and did do was move to another provider. Problem solved

        OPINION: WASHINGTON SECRETS

Exclusive: 60% call impeachment a ‘waste of time,’ Big Tech backlash for censoring Trump

And it found a backlash to Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms that have erased Trump for his comments on last Wednesday’s Capitol protests.

The fear found in the survey is that if Big Tech can ban the president, there is nothing to stop it from censoring regular members of the public.

Matt Gaetz Goes Nuclear On the House Floor and Dems Lose It as He Calls Out Their Hypocrisy for Months of Riots

If we’re playing by the left’s standards, then Democrats are wholly guilty of the assaults, lootings, burnings, destruction, and even murders that happened as a result of the Black Lives Matter riots. However, they refuse to hold themselves accountable and even make excuses for it as CNN’s Don Lemon did on Tuesday night where he justified the violence of Black Lives Matter because it was a movement “built on people.”

Our riots were cooler than yours: During their handoff tonight, Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo argued that the BLM riots they encouraged over the summer were more righteous than the Capitol Hill attack, thus they’re not “apples to apples.”

They reacted to negatively to Gaetz because what Gaetz said is absolutely true and the left knows it.

As I’ve said before Trump hasn’t drain the swamp, but he’s lowered the level enough to make a lot of the creature break cover.

You’re full of it. There was some semblance of truth in your assertion up to the point that Parler was deplatformed.

But even before that, those tech firms removing conservative posts, tweets, videos, articles from their platforms is clear violation of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act as it turns them from being distributors to publishers.

So selective freedom of speech is acceptable is it?

It has always been thus … you can’t call out “Fire!” in a crowded theatre. And a huge range of speech types are not protected by the First Amendment (some of them are listed in s230).

And in any case – Twitter etc are not government agencies, and the First Amendment does not apply to them legally. I concede that socially and politically – it’s a different matter, but the mantra of “free Speech” is a misnomer in this context.

So why did Democratic politicians and journalists focus on Parler rather than Facebook and YouTube? Why did Amazon, Google and Apple make a flamboyant showing of removing Parler from the internet while leaving much larger platforms with far more extremism and advocacy of violence flowing on a daily basis?

In part it is because these Silicon Valley giants — Google, Facebook, Amazon, Apple — donate enormous sums of money to the Democratic Party and their leaders, so of course Democrats will cheer them rather than call for punishment or their removal from the internet. Part of it is because Parler is an upstart, a much easier target to try to destroy than Facebook or Google. And in part it is because the Democrats are about to control the Executive Branch and both houses of Congress, leaving Silicon Valley giants eager to please them by silencing their adversaries. This corrupt motive was made expressly clear by long-time Clinton operative Jennifer Palmieri:

It has not escaped my attention that the day social media companies decided there actually IS more they could do to police Trump’s destructive behavior was the same day they learned Democrats would chair all the congressional committees that oversee them.

It is excellent and necessary that conservatives have free speech platforms to go to while the Left have their “safe spaces” where they are protected from any hard questions, or any at all.

However, the basis of representative democracy is about being able to have robust, polite debate, but this is now prohibited by the Left and will only get worse.

We have now a situation in America which is also spreading worldwide (with equivalent Leftist and conservative political parties and people) whereby in America:

    1) The working and middle class including various minorities vote for andvare catered for by Trump and MAGA members of the Republican Party.

    2) A certain element vote for non-MAGA Republicans because their parents did so.

    3) The Elites and most members of the extremely rich, plus members of their mostly-poorly-educated slave army of useful idiots vote for the Democrats.

One side, the Trump Republicans, is the party of reason abd moral clarity, the other, the Democrats is the party of confusion and amorality and appeals to primal instincts such as lust, violence and greed (“free stuff”), “anything goes”, “whatever it takes” etc..

It’s too late for President Trump, as he has been robbed of the 2020 Election. In retrospect, there are questions that come to mind:

    — It seems Trump knew the steal was coming. Is it really the case that he couldn’t do anything to prevent it?

    — Why didn’t he put someone he could trust at the head of the FBI long before the election, to deter fraud and swiftly investigate results afterwards?

    — How was he not aware of the high probability that the January 6 protest would be infiltrated by agents provocateurs and turned against him?

    — Why are about two-thirds of elected Republicans seemingly ready to accept total electoral defeat in a rigged election just to get rid of Trump?

I’ll take a shot at it:
        a) Art of War: Do not interfere while an opponent is making incriminating mistakes.
        b) The swamp is so ubiquitous that in selecting a bureaucrat the probability that the candidate is corrupt is about 90% They don’t have “BAD” stamped on their forehead.
        c) What is the probability that the Capitol Police would ESCOURT four busloads of criminals into a peaceful potest? See (b) above).
        d) Estimates range from 70% to 85% of congress is corrupt, and influenced in one way or another by the CCP. “RED” and “Blue” is an illusion. It is all one Uniparty. Trump and Trumpers are not Republicans. The new plitical party will be called “Great America”.

Tulsi Gabbard Pulls Back the Curtain on Why Congress Won’t Act Against Big Tech

Gabbard notes that despite all the committee hearings and big talk, nothing has been done. So why?

“It goes to money,” said Gabbard.

“I’ve seen it happen,” she continued. “Google will have a bit reception and members of congress will go and pick up their checks. Facebook will have a big reception and they’ll go and ‘hey, where’s my check?’”

It’s an Occam’s razor situation where the simplest answer is usually the right one. As Gabbard reveals, the reason no one is acting on big tech is that the companies are inviting our elected members of congress into their very deep pockets.

This is a massive abuse of power on several levels and if our elected officials can’t resist the temptation of extra money in their pockets, then they need to be removed.

        DOC

Aussie Pete. I would suggest that many Republicans are as much committed to the swamp as are in the Democrat Party. The swamp includes many long term, totally career politicians and bureaucrats that have worked their way up the foodchains of their chosen lifestyles. Just look at the resignation in the bureaucratic ranks and others eg the Armed Forces Generals, Roberts’ alleged outburst to the justices of SCOTUS that had Thomas saying obeying his demand spelt the end of Democracy. Last Weekend Australian was it, that outlined the dependency of even McConnell on China for growing his shipping business etc.

The implications for the USA in the midst of all the foreign policy problems it has with many of its politicians feeding off the now deemed ‘unfriendly’ foreign nations to make their squillions are, frankly, frightening in the extreme. In WW2, Britain had merely to worry about pro-nazi verbal support in some of its senior ranks. The USA seems to have a profusion of its governing politicians financially dependent on China, Ukraine and Russia it seems. How would you like to be an American patriot trying to come to grips with all this when he or she is censored out of commenting on official blog-type comment sites run by billionaires. Or what do you do when friends of these controversially stained politicians can separate you from your means of making a living, just because they disagree with you? What other politicians have nationally dangerous liaisons with other nations no less friendly than the above?

I would love to see what Morrison and Abbott now think about their ideas that freedom of speech is merely a second or third rate topic for consideration in these times. That always was a cop out and unfortunately, all the chickens are now coming home to roost because of their lack of courage or just plain lunacy in making such statements because they also have large numbers of members, often controversially calling themselves ‘progressives’ from the same swamp.

When a career in politics becomes the aim, replacing the idea of serving the nation, a politician becomes more interested in chasing votes. When one develops a rapport with an unfriendly competitor of one’s own nation, and gains financial support for campaigns, one becomes morally compromised. When one takes on positions with financial reward for ones self, no matter how far down the track, then one is disastrously politically compromised against serving the best interests of one’s own nation -IMO.

Currently, the USA politics, media of all types, monied classes and it seems anyone further left than centre left, are corrupt to the core. It’s FBI, CIA, DOJ, FISA Court, and SCOTUS (if the whistleblower was truthful) are either corrupt at the top or so weak-kneed that they serve no positive useful purpose for the nation. To have allegedly contrived to bring down a President to the point of constructing and then supporting all aspects of the Russian hoax, is in my non-legal position, treasonous. In fact, Mueller was so close to actually being a ‘patriot’ in voicing his opinion that Trump was clear of those charges; he destroyed that kudos by adding he couldn’t clear Trump on other matters which were never in his bailiwick to consider in the first place. Mueller showed more courage than any of those SCOTUS Justices – on the whistleblower’s allegation – he defended the law at a level which should have those Justices grovelling to the US public for forgiveness. Mueller didn’t incite a riot!

Trump’s decision making as per all this stuff, is enigmatic. He is a businessman, not a swamp politicians. His knowledge and values would be different. Was he trying to change the system from within knowing he had no chance changing anything by using the US’s current legal system. He would have failed in that having to deal with swamp people like Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff etc. The treacherous Republicans that crossed the floor to impeach him would never have been supporting him, so if he tried to do anything via the Senate he would have got nowhere. The DOJ Report and the Barr Report were tame and suggestive of the same weaknesses as above when it came to the crunch. Where is the outstanding Report that we don’t even get a leak from – supposedly being compiled by a no nonsense legal brain and personality? It will now be buried anyway.

The USA is really in a desperate place. Just how are its citizens going to handle the dictatorial position of the government they voted for, and the censorious nature of a huge part of their media and information sources? How long can billionaires and Marxists, natural enemies, hold together? When the market threatens the huge monopolies, how will they react? Will the government attack their new competitors through law making? Will the USA descend into China2, which is the direction it appears to be going?

Will COVID Numbers Now Shift for Biden’s Benefit?

How much of the past year was about the actual coronavirus rather than a political weapon to damage President Trump and remove him from office? The answer is obvious. We have had viral pandemics before, including a seasonal influenza, without mask mandates, social distancing, business closures, travel restrictions, and hysterical media coverage.

Much of the hair-on-fire reporting is over cases and deaths. As I have previously written, a positive test is not the same as a case, and a death with COVID is different than death from COVID.

What if these definitions suddenly change in the upcoming weeks, once Joe Biden is in the White House, creating the impression that getting rid of the Orange Man caused the case and fatality numbers to suddenly plummet, not because of anything Biden did, but simply because he isn’t Trump?

Rewriting history is a popular pastime for the left. Just ask George Orwell or observe current events including the social media purge and cancel culture. How might this play out with COVID?

Yes, it has already begun. Cuomo has stated that New York is close to herd immunity and everyone needs to get back to work. The PCR test is not fit for purpose, it was developed for measles. There will be more emphasis placed on the number of false positives rather than assuming that every positive test is positive. The number of replication cycles during the testing procedure will be reduced so less bits of RNA will be found. People will be diagnosed as having the flu.

BernardP: — “Why are about two-thirds of elected Republicans seemingly ready to accept total electoral defeat in a rigged election just to get rid of Trump?”

A struggle last week between FEAR – of another “civil war” – and electoral FRAUD. FEAR won. Republicans chose a “peaceful loss” instead of the possibility of more chaos.

They will regret their lack of spine since November 3 for a long time. That said, what would we/you have done in their situation?

Democrats are determined to bury Trump – and others, including Sidney Powell – under huge lawsuits. The (legal) process – as Mark Steyn often said – is the punishment.

After weeks of silence, Dominion Voting Systems has launched a US$1+bn “complaint” against attorney Powell. Interesting timing.

How quickly the CAUSE of this mess has been buried under Democrat/MSM rhetoric about “insurrection” and so on.

We can’t have the people questioning the integrity of the electoral process itself, can we? Why, that would make US just like Uganda, etc.

Inauguration Day will be interesting. New President’s speech apparently will be about UNITY. Good luck with that exercise, Joe.

I don’t know anything about it but Orbys is a new free-speech oriented alternative to Facebook.

The problem that conservatives have now is that we’ve been removed, or soon will be, from the Leftist platforms where at least we were concentrated in one place on either Facebook, Twitter or YouTube. Now we will be spread over a variety of equivalent platforms.

Of course, we still have this site as a wonderful free speech platform (thanks Jo!), even for Leftists, a privilege we wouldn’t be allowed on a Leftist platform because Leftists can’t tolerate alternative opinions.

Remember the rules of the Left as espoused by Obama’s disgusting communist hero, Saul Alinsky.

Alinsky died in 1972 but sadly his rules lived on with the Left.

Because conservatives are generally decent and polite people they are incredibly naive with regard to the ruthlessness and unrelenting strategy of the Left.

    Alinsky’s rules:

“Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.”

“Never go outside the expertise of your people.”

“Whenever possible go outside the expertise of the enemy.”

“Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.”

“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. There is no defense. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage.”

“A good tactic is one your people enjoy.”

“A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.”

    “Keep the pressure on.”

“The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself. ”

“The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.”

“If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside; this is based on the principle that every positive has its negative.”

“The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.”

“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. “

House votes after U.S. Capitol siege to impeach Trump for second time after some Republican joined the Democrats; his fate in Senate hands. I love to see them try to impeach Trump before Jan 20. They will be risking a civil war. As one famous actor would say, go ahead, make my day!

You are confused. A President can’t be impeached after leaving office. By definition impeaching a President means removing him or her from office after impeachment trials. For that to happen he or she must still be POTUS. So, unless you think he will remain POTUS after Jan 20, impeaching him after leaving office makes as much sense as impeaching a rock.

          Its a technicality.

‘President Nixon needed to be pardoned by President Ford if he wanted to avoid prosecution. And he was, and that’s why President Clinton, a day before he left office, settled the case that the special prosecutor was ready to bring against him because once he was out of office, he wouldn’t have that immunity anymore.”

Indeed. Given the lefts complete vandalism of any traditions, I fully expect them to hold the impeachment out as a long threat as long as they can, and they may even do it months in the future.

Constitution and tradition be damned. The only principle, is “what can we get away with”.

Though I hear impeachment relates to holding profitable offices. If so, given that Trump doesn’t get paid, will even impeachment stop him holding an electable unpaid position?

Why do the Dems need to impeach him. They can just “e-flip” the election, yeah?. Is it just another propaganda tool to humiliate and demoralize the opposition.

Actually I think the opposite would happen. If Trump ends up in prison, millions who voted for him will feel more isolated then before and fear retribution for merely being a supporter, therefore they will feel they will have nothing to lose. Trump supporters will point to authoritarian countries that jail their opponents, and this could be reason enough to resist. Events could precipitate quickly, and also remember there is plenty of military who supported Trump, so it could end up being very messy. The Democrats are taking a very large risk of losing the Union with their endless pursuit of Trump. Remember the impeachment of Trump started even before he was sworn in.
        https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2017/01/20/the-campaign-to-impeach-president-trump-has-begun/
They never had a genuine reason to impeach from the start, but always merely hated him for his bombastic style and of course beating their darling Hillary (who by the way never actually admitted she was beaten fairly). The US Democrats still hold the record for the longest dummy spit on record, now culminating in attempting to cancel Trump altogether (see the attempts to also bring his business interests down too).

In regard to Google/YouTube, Twitter and Facebook, what other companies do you know that would happily throw away at least 50 percent of their customers?

The financial rewards for them must be very great to be able to afford to do that.

      From Article below

Investment Implications: Go Woke, Go Broke?

“Go woke, go broke” is the theory that if corporations pursued left-leaning policies, they would ultimately hurt their businesses, and so they would be discouraged from doing so for too long. This isn’t quite correct, as Mike Cernovich noted recently.

They don’t care. Twitter is a late stage company. All the founders and early VCs made their huge exits.

Twitter can exist as a shell for years, same as happened with Yahoo.

People who go to work for Twitter are ideologues glad to draw a 6 figure salary.

Twitter Is The Worst Company On Planet Earth. Here’s How To Bet Against The Stock—and Deactivate Your Account

For a social media platform to censor a world leader—while still giving a voice to preachers of hate like Louis Farrakhan Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei and even O.J. Simpson—isn’t just wrong from a free speech perspective, it’s actually terrible business. So, Twitter has shown little to no sequential growth in its user base of late (details below) but it is still valued like its Big Tech growth-y brethren. Twitter is not growing, it is shrinking, if measured versus the growth rate of the global economy, and that reduction will accelerate dramatically now that Twitter has offended every Conservative in America with its action to ban President Trump. Only fools in Congress and Big Tech apologists would think that Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act should apply to Twitter. It is a publisher, not a platform. Full stop.

I don’t do “cancel culture” but I believe Twitter will become radioactive for advertisers, as half the US is revolted by what they have done, and that’s not good for business.

Twitter’s self-reported user base grew at a whopping 1% sequentially in 3Q20, with 1% growth internationally and 0% in the U.S. The comparisons were much better on a year-on-year basis (+29% overall) but remember that 2020 was an extraordinary year for news flow. But Twitter is not news. I think that Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is a pathological liar as well as a horrible human being, so I don’t believe Twitter’s user numbers at all. The mDAU metric that Twitter now uses reflects, and clearly they will keep changing metrics until they find one that looks decent. This is a classic Big Tech maneuver.

In dollars, though, Twitter generated $936 million (million, not billion, this is a small company) in revenues in the third quarter and produced a very low (for Big Tech) 6% operating margin and 3% net margin. So, after a whopping $1 billion loss in Q2, Twitter recovered to make $28 million in the third quarter. Wow! That’s just…irrelevant.

With negative free cash flow of $74 million in Q3, but $7.6 billion of cash and securities on the balance sheet, Twitter is worth more than zero, but extraordinarily less than the $51.48 per share the market was according TWTR stock Friday. Yes, we have completely forgotten how to value stocks. Twitter is not the only one but it is the easy one.

    The Establishment Strikes Back

In the week since January 6th’s Capitol Offense, President Trump has been deplatformed by Twitter (TWTR), Google’s (GOOG), (GOOGL) YouTube, and Facebook (FB). Salesforce (CRM) has cut off his campaign’s email service; Shopify (SHOP) and GoFundMe have cut his organization off as well. Trump-supporting Senator Josh Hawley has had his book contract canceled by ViacomCBS (VIAC) subsidiary Simon & Schuster, and Hallmark demanded Hawley return their previous political contributions to him. Meanwhile, Amazon’s (AMZN) AWS division and Apple’s (AAPL) app store put the alternative social media platform Parler out of action.

In addition, Walmart (WMT), Amazon, Morgan Stanley (MS), Dow (DOW) and AT&T (T) announced they were cutting off donations to Republicans who challenged the certification of the electoral vote. The ostensible reasons for these companies’ actions were to defend democracy and protect against violence. Let’s consider the more likely rationale and its investment implications.

So the lead House manager impeaching Trump for, among other things, refusing to accept the results of the 2020 election is James Raskin who … objected to certifying the 2016 results. #CantMakeItUp

    Preventing Violence

The other ostensible reason some of these corporations have given for their actions is preventing violence, but this strains credulity as well. For starters, President Trump explicitly called for peaceful protest in his speech on January 6th (you can read the transcript of the speech here to see for yourself), and, reportedly, meta data indicates the rioting at the Capitol started twenty minutes before Trump’s speech ended.

Considering that Trump spoke a mile and a half away from the Capitol, at the Ellipse, it’s likely these initial rioters didn’t hear any of it anyway.

Also, if social media and other companies were concerned about preventing violence, they wouldn’t have supported the perpetrators of the civil unrest last year, which included the worst rioting in America in a half century. And they would have censored Democratic politicians such as Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senator Kamala Harris, and Representatives Ayanna Pressley and Maxine Waters who arguably incited violence last summer.

I hope I’m wrong as I know how bloody it would get but I fear that after Biden becomes POTUS they will step up their attacks on all those who fail to comply with their ideologies, such as climate change. Then people will fight back in the only way left; with violence. From an email

“On the first day, God created the dog and said, “Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty years.”

The dog said, “That’s a long time to be barking. How about only ten years and I’ll give you back the other ten?”

And God saw it was good.

On the second day, God created the monkey and said, “Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I’ll give you a twenty-year life span.”

The monkey said, “Monkey tricks for twenty years? That’s a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the dog did?

And God, again saw it was good.

On the third day, God created the cow and said, “You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer’s family. For this, I will give you a life span of sixty years.”

The cow said, “That’s kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. How about twenty and I’ll give back the other forty?”

And God agreed it was good.

On the fourth day, God created humans and said, “Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. For this, I’ll give you twenty years.”

But the human said, “Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty, the forty the cow gave back,
the ten the monkey gave back,

and the ten the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay?”

“Okay,” said God, “You asked for it.”

So that is why for our first twenty years, we eat, sleep, play and enjoy ourselves.
For the next forty years, we slave in the sun to support our family.
For the next ten years, we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren.
And for the last ten years, we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.

Life has now been explained to you.”

      And maybe the political scene?
There is no need to thank me for this valuable information.

    Afternoon Jo,
I’ve just watched this update by Simon Parkes, dated Jan 13, and runs for 27 mins:
    https://www.simonparkes.org/post/13th-january-update-current-news-1
Overall it’s a message of hope, and I commend it to all. ( I hope he’s the good guy.) In particular he makes an interesting statement, at about 13 mins, that someone is claiming that Trump actually won California, and that will be verified later according to the timetable they’re working to.
He also talks about why we’re not seeing some of the big events Trump supporters have been hoping for. Sounds reasonable to me.

Main message is he’s back on the air, at least for the moment.

For those looking at completely of grid digital comms not dependent on big tech, look into mesh communications. They are independent of existing Internet and cellular infrastructure etc.. Meshtastic is one such concept to look at. Conservatives need alternate free speech methods of comms as more and more Leftist controlled companies decide they don’t want to do business with conservatives.

Leftists love censorship and being told what to think while conservatives yearn for free speech. For conservatives, our current situation must feel as it was during The Enlightenment wanting free speech which culminated at the end of that period in the French Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen of 1789 and the First Amendment to the United States Constitution of 1791. We have now reverted to the Dark days preceding The Enlightenment.

Jo – Thanks for the tips about ‘Dissenter’ and ‘Gab’.

Google, Twitter and Co have obviously chosen to cater to people who want to be protected from alternate ideas. So we must find alternate venues where far more interesting people hang out. Google started (as I recall) as GoTo which they bought and improved in the late 90’s and became popular because lots of people used them. Now they have become infatuated with their own publicity and seem to believe they can walk on water etc.

By the way, it must infuriate the occasional lefty on this forum that they are allowed to post. On forums that favour them, we would be banned for ever – you know, like Trump on Twitter.

Hmm… can’t download Dissenter via Brave and can’t figure out how Git.com works either.
Interestingly, when I went back to Jo’s page the reference to Git.com had disappeared. I suspect Jo’s page has been hacked and edited.

More interesting still is that now I can’t access my Gab account either. Some waffle about Cloudflare being unable to resolve… blah, blah, blah…
Looks like everything is being shut down by the barbarians at the gate. Or should that be “Gates.”

I’ve never been on twitter and do not plan to be, but just out of principle I downloaded it on my phone (and again do not plan to use it) – hope the google dudes pick it up with their data tracking and tell their buddy Jack though.
